Countryside staff are just glorified Salesmen. My dog has a tumor on his eye and I wanted to get a second opinion. After researching almost every vet in NOVA, we landed on Countryside. The visit started off great - everyone was very friendly and I was very optimistic. Then the vet started pushing their PAW Plan. She probably mentioned it at least 20 times. I looked at the pricing and even with the plan, it was 3 times the amount that I pay for my dog at his normal vet in California. She diagnosed him with a tumor (surprise, surprise) and told me she would send me quotes. After 3 business days I called asking for the quotes and was told that they typically take 1-2 weeks. Just for the quote. When I finally got the quote, they wanted to charge me $890-$2700 depending on whether I opted for teeth cleaning and how long it took to get the tumor out. I called my vet in California (who has specialists perform surgeries from San Francisco) and they are only going to charge me $600 including teeth cleaning and mass removal. So it is cheaper for me to fly myself and my dog to California to get him his surgery. I requested the doctor's notes to send to my California Vet and they included very rude, snide, and unprofessional comments by the staff about me being impatient about getting the quotes. I have never had to wait more than 24 hours to get a quote from any other vet. In fact, most vets will just give you the quote while you are there. One of the other comments included how the vet tech's brain hurt so much because of all of the math she apparently had to do for my quotes (guess she hasn't heard of Excel). These people are extremely shady. I am very disappointed and frustrated that I wasted by $80+ on an exam. It is insane that these vets can charge so much for these services.

Would have been great to have notice so I didn't bring my dog who hates car rides. Sassy response that I received a call and voicemail. No calls, missed calls, or voicemails to either myself or my fiancé (the numbers on file) AND received an email confirmation. So clearly whoever "called" didn't try very hard or check the number dialed. Utterly disrespectful.

I am so happy I have finally found a veterinary clinic for my pets!! I really can't say enough positive things about Dr Carson and Mary at Countryside! I had my first visit there this morning because my cat has a bad tooth. The entire staff from front desk to the doctors were friendly, professional, caring and knowledgeable. The office is beautiful and very clean. My husband and I have three pets and purchased the paw plans which makes everything extremely affordable. I love love love this place!!!!

Not a great way to win new patients by being so abrupt to simple questions. Maybe instead indicate, "We love to trim our patients. We would be glad to take your cat on as a patient, and if you have a check up with us, then you can add on a trim."

We took our dog to Countryside in the past and loved the service, especially when he crossed over to Rainbow Bridge. We just rescued a dog, and loved the care we had received so we went back to Countryside Animal Hospital Clinic. The vets are very thorough and give you options. And we loved their new renovations.

Best vet I've ever taken any of my dogs to. The doctor took the time to diagnose the problem my dog was having. She even took the time to give us some training/obedience tricks. I left Banfield because I wanted a vet that took the time to know my dog. Banfield staff never did anything wrong and always properly treated my dog, but I always felt like they were rushed to see every pet. That is not the case with Countryside Animal Clinic.

I had three dogs now two... both are senior dogs with some serious medical day-to-day issues. I have seen quite a few vets and vet clinics in this area but none have come close to The care and expertise the doctor said that the vet techs offer at countryside!! They actually encourage your input and they listen to what you have to say and give credence and credibility to your input for the care of your pet! One popular vet clinic I happened to overhear that they weren't making their numbers for the month and they needed to do so --translation --care or services that weren't really necessary or needed. I can always get an appointment at countryside within a days or to time. if I have an emergency they always find a way to fit me in. their pricing is extremely reasonable! I'm glad to say I have finally found my vets for life!!

We love Dr Wright and his staff. We got our dog 4 yrs ago from a "breeder" and unbeknownst to us, she was full of problems. Dr Wright and his staff were excellent with helping us get out little girl back to full and proper health. They explained everything to us, incl possible causes for the various issues, and they worked with us for her treatments - which included a few free visits and others. They didn't have to give us free services to get through the issues with our dog, but they did. We greatly appreciated that. Since then, they have remained excellent; Scar from being spayed isnt visible, our dog loves all their staff, very helpful, keeps you informed in a timely manner, you know it! Thank you Dr Wright and your staff!

I tried to give this place a chance but I ended up switching. After talking to a neighbor about our poor experience, they stated they had a similar experience when they took their cat here. I hate to give bad reviews but I think the care & service we received was just poor. Didn't seem to be any true concern for the welfare of our pet. One tech is very nice & helpful. The other is in in over her head and had no idea what she was talking about. The first vet we saw there simply missed stuff, mailed it in. Second vet was a little better but still just sent us home with antibiotics and no other tests. Lastly, one receptionist was nice, the other was rude and abrupt. This vet must have too many patients because they are just rushing and counting their money; not a lot of true concern or desire to get a proper diagnosis.

reached out to countryside animal clinic via their contact page on their website and was then contacted within 24 hours. i expressed concern about my cat and his skin condition and was able to secure an appointment within two days. i also mentioned that he was a bit anxious and gratefully when we arrived the staff was very conscious of this fact and helped keep him calm. when we met the doctor we were very pleased with the recommendations and options available to try and address the skin issues. although admittedly hard to diagnose...we felt very comfortable with the doctor and the clinic and are happy to have located this vet. so grateful to know our cat is in good hands!

The staff care for your pets as if they were their own. Dr. Werden and Kristen are the dream team. They go above and beyond for every pet that comes in. I only trust my kids with the Countryside staff so much so we drive all the way from Waldorf, MD. We recently had our dog neutered, when we came to pick him up, he had an entire exam room to himself with someone sitting with him/ watching him from the back at all times. My dog is a big pain in the butt, however Dr. Werden, Devon, Kristen, Mary and Andy (and I am sure everyone who was there) were are super loving and patient with him. Thank you guys so much for taking such amazing care of Oscar, and all of my kids.

I don't think I could say anything bad about this vet. We recently switched to here as it was closer to our home and the reviews were great. Every staff member there was so knowledgeable, compassionate and caring with both us humans and our fur baby. When the time came to put our baby to sleep they were so thorough with explaining the process and let us send as much time as we needed with him as he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. We will be bringing our other fur baby there for her care and I would highly recommend Countryside Animal Clinic to anyone in the NoVa area.

I have been coming to Countryside Animal Clinic for over 15 years and have had the pleasure of them caring for my boxer Buster, and my black lab Morgan. The staff has always been friendly, and when emergencies arise, have been very accommodating. I'm always greeted with a smile and always happy to see my happy lab Morgan. I used to live a mile away in Sterling but just recently moved to Reston. I will still continue to come to Countryside as I don't feel comfortable with any other Veterinarians.

Highly suggest! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Every person remembers myself and my dog when we come in. They take time to address every concern you have and make sure you are comfortable with all treatment plans before leaving. Sometimes the wait for a vet can take some time, but that just means they will take the time needed to fully take care of any pet. Very clean and professional. Definitely go here if you are looking for a new or another vet!

I love Countryside Animal Clinic. I have been going there for many years. All of the staff are so compassionate and caring, not only to our pets, but to us, the owners, also! They take their time with helping, examining and answering all of our questions with no hurrying!. I unfortunately made the mistake of going to another animal clinic recently for shots that someone recommended and I will NEVER do it again!!!! Countryside has all of my loyalty! The front of office staff is always very nice and helpful, the techs are pleasant and make our furry friends feel comfortable, and Dr. Thigpen is just great. She likely has tons of dog and cat patients but she is always aware of what was and is going on with our dogs. We have had a couple of emergencies and everyone at the practice was just fabulous. There were no questions asked, all they said was "bring him/her in right now. We'll be here!". Overall - they are excellent. We are very happy with Countryside and Dr. Thigpen!

To expand upon my last review. We had a dog attack our cat. Drs Thigpen, Wright and the most excellent and professional staff immediately stopped what they were doing and rushed to assist me as I ran through the door with my cat.After stabilizing my cat they had a vet tech ride with us with oxygen and fluids as we transferred my cat to TLC in Leesburg. The prognosis at this point looks good. Regardless, without the expertise and caring of these awesome folks I don't think my cat would of had a chance.Update: A few days later we had to put our 14 year old tabby down. The folks at Countryside AC gave 110% and are the reason we made it as far as we did. Though the outcome was not what we wanted, through the caring of these fine professionals we had the possibility of recovery though the wounds provided too severe to overcome.Dr Thigpen helped us multiple times throughout this process, frequently calling TLC for updates and in the end helping us make the heart breaking decision in the best interest of our cat. Dr. Thigpen is more than a vet to us - she is a wonderful and caring person friend we can always count on to help guide us through the ups and downs of animal ownership. We are fortunate to have found Dr. Thigpen and her incredible compassionate staff.Truman - you will forever be missed.

Very happy with this vet and how they treat my dog. She is getting old so needs more and more treatments, unfortunately, but they treat her so well here that she can't wait to come int he door and always is excited to see Dr. Thigpen walk in the room, even after all the uncomfortable examinations.They always manage to fit me in when she becomes suddenly sick, are very sympathetic and knowledgeable, and have outstanding bedside manner. Dr. Thigpen never gets frustrated when I ask endless questions, always writes down a summary of the visit and treatment plan, since I won't remember everything, and always tries to find ways to save me some money, especially on the prescriptions. On my last visit my dog was given a pain medication that made her too drowsy to walk. They brought all the checkout papers into the exam room for me so she could rest as long as possible, then helped me carry her out to the car. This is the first place I have been where the staff is so thoughtful and helpful.

Countryside staff are just glorified Salesmen. My dog has a tumor on his eye and I wanted to get a second opinion. After researching almost every vet in NOVA, we landed on Countryside. The visit started off great - everyone was very friendly and I was very optimistic. Then the vet started pushing their PAW Plan. She probably mentioned it at least 20 times. I looked at the pricing and even with the plan, it was 3 times the amount that I pay for my dog at his normal vet in California. She diagnosed him with a tumor (surprise, surprise) and told me she would send me quotes. After 3 business days I called asking for the quotes and was told that they typically take 1-2 weeks. Just for the quote. When I finally got the quote, they wanted to charge me $890-$2700 depending on whether I opted for teeth cleaning and how long it took to get the tumor out. I called my vet in California (who has specialists perform surgeries from San Francisco) and they are only going to charge me $600 including teeth cleaning and mass removal. So it is cheaper for me to fly myself and my dog to California to get him his surgery. I requested the doctor's notes to send to my California Vet and they included very rude, snide, and unprofessional comments by the staff about me being impatient about getting the quotes. I have never had to wait more than 24 hours to get a quote from any other vet. In fact, most vets will just give you the quote while you are there. One of the other comments included how the vet tech's brain hurt so much because of all of the math she apparently had to do for my quotes (guess she hasn't heard of Excel). These people are extremely shady. I am very disappointed and frustrated that I wasted by $80+ on an exam. It is insane that these vets can charge so much for these services.

Had a positive experience with the vet staff there, super knowledgeable and friendly, but awful experience with the front staff. Arrived for an appointment only to be told it had been cancelled. Would have been great to have notice so I didn't bring my dog who hates car rides. Sassy response that I received a call and voicemail. No calls, missed calls, or voicemails to either myself or my fiancé (the numbers on file) AND received an email confirmation. So clearly whoever "called" didn't try very hard or check the number dialed. Utterly disrespectful.

I am so happy I have finally found a veterinary clinic for my pets!! I really can't say enough positive things about Dr Carson and Mary at Countryside! I had my first visit there this morning because my cat has a bad tooth. The entire staff from front desk to the doctors were friendly, professional, caring and knowledgeable. The office is beautiful and very clean. My husband and I have three pets and purchased the paw plans which makes everything extremely affordable. I love love love this place!!!!

We just rescued a dog, and loved the care we had received so we went back to Countryside Animal Hospital Clinic. The vets are very thorough and give you options. And we loved their new renovations.

Best vet I've ever taken any of my dogs to. The doctor took the time to diagnose the problem my dog was having. She even took the time to give us some training/obedience tricks. I left Banfield because I wanted a vet that took the time to know my dog. Banfield staff never did anything wrong and always properly treated my dog, but I always felt like they were rushed to see every pet. That is not the case with Countryside Animal Clinic.

I have seen quite a few vets and vet clinics in this area but none have come close to The care and expertise the doctor said that the vet techs offer at countryside!! They actually encourage your input and they listen to what you have to say and give credence and credibility to your input for the care of your pet! One popular vet clinic I happened to overhear that they weren't making their numbers for the month and they needed to do so --translation --care or services that weren't really necessary or needed. I can always get an appointment at countryside within a days or to time. if I have an emergency they always find a way to fit me in. their pricing is extremely reasonable! I'm glad to say I have finally found my vets for life!!

We love Dr Wright and his staff. We got our dog 4 yrs ago from a "breeder" and unbeknownst to us, she was full of problems. Dr Wright and his staff were excellent with helping us get out little girl back to full and proper health. They explained everything to us, incl possible causes for the various issues, and they worked with us for her treatments - which included a few free visits and others. They didn't have to give us free services to get through the issues with our dog, but they did. We greatly appreciated that. Since then, they have remained excellent; Scar from being spayed isnt visible, our dog loves all their staff, very helpful, keeps you informed in a timely manner, you know it! Thank you Dr Wright and your staff!

I tried to give this place a chance but I ended up switching. After talking to a neighbor about our poor experience, they stated they had a similar experience when they took their cat here. I hate to give bad reviews but I think the care & service we received was just poor. Didn't seem to be any true concern for the welfare of our pet. One tech is very nice & helpful. The other is in in over her head and had no idea what she was talking about. The first vet we saw there simply missed stuff, mailed it in. Second vet was a little better but still just sent us home with antibiotics and no other tests. Lastly, one receptionist was nice, the other was rude and abrupt. This vet must have too many patients because they are just rushing and counting their money; not a lot of true concern or desire to get a proper diagnosis.

reached out to countryside animal clinic via their contact page on their website and was then contacted within 24 hours. i expressed concern about my cat and his skin condition and was able to secure an appointment within two days. i also mentioned that he was a bit anxious and gratefully when we arrived the staff was very conscious of this fact and helped keep him calm. when we met the doctor we were very pleased with the recommendations and options available to try and address the skin issues. although admittedly hard to diagnose...we felt very comfortable with the doctor and the clinic and are happy to have located this vet. so grateful to know our cat is in good hands!

The staff care for your pets as if they were their own. Dr. Werden and Kristen are the dream team. They go above and beyond for every pet that comes in. I only trust my kids with the Countryside staff so much so we drive all the way from Waldorf, MD. We recently had our dog neutered, when we came to pick him up, he had an entire exam room to himself with someone sitting with him/ watching him from the back at all times. My dog is a big pain in the butt, however Dr. Werden, Devon, Kristen, Mary and Andy (and I am sure everyone who was there) were are super loving and patient with him. Thank you guys so much for taking such amazing care of Oscar, and all of my kids.

I don't think I could say anything bad about this vet. We recently switched to here as it was closer to our home and the reviews were great. Every staff member there was so knowledgeable, compassionate and caring with both us humans and our fur baby. When the time came to put our baby to sleep they were so thorough with explaining the process and let us send as much time as we needed with him as he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. We will be bringing our other fur baby there for her care and I would highly recommend Countryside Animal Clinic to anyone in the NoVa area.

I have been coming to Countryside Animal Clinic for over 15 years and have had the pleasure of them caring for my boxer Buster, and my black lab Morgan. The staff has always been friendly, and when emergencies arise, have been very accommodating. I'm always greeted with a smile and always happy to see my happy lab Morgan. I used to live a mile away in Sterling but just recently moved to Reston. I will still continue to come to Countryside as I don't feel comfortable with any other Veterinarians.

Highly suggest! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Every person remembers myself and my dog when we come in. They take time to address every concern you have and make sure you are comfortable with all treatment plans before leaving. Sometimes the wait for a vet can take some time, but that just means they will take the time needed to fully take care of any pet. Very clean and professional. Definitely go here if you are looking for a new or another vet!

I can only say nice things about Country Side Animal Clinic! We love Dr. Werden she's especially patient with our animals because they're always anxious at the vet! Recently been having some health issues with our oldest dog and she takes such wonderful care of him! Very realistic and truthful with all of her diagnosis and suggestions for our pets health! Front staff always nice and helpful, great techs! We love them all and have been going there for 12 years!

I love Countryside Animal Clinic. I have been going there for many years. All of the staff are so compassionate and caring, not only to our pets, but to us, the owners, also! They take their time with helping, examining and answering all of our questions with no hurrying!. I unfortunately made the mistake of going to another animal clinic recently for shots that someone recommended and I will NEVER do it again!!!! Countryside has all of my loyalty! You will never be disappointed if you go to Countryside Animal Clinic! I highly recommend it to anyone! 5 stars for me!

We have been taking our two pups to Countryside for a while now. The front of office staff is always very nice and helpful, the techs are pleasant and make our furry friends feel comfortable, and Dr. Thigpen is just great. She likely has tons of dog and cat patients but she is always aware of what was and is going on with our dogs. We have had a couple of emergencies and everyone at the practice was just fabulous. There were no questions asked, all they said was "bring him/her in right now. We'll be here!". Overall - they are excellent. We are very happy with Countryside and Dr. Thigpen!

To expand upon my last review. We had a dog attack our cat. Drs Thigpen, Wright and the most excellent and professional staff immediately stopped what they were doing and rushed to assist me as I ran through the door with my cat.After stabilizing my cat they had a vet tech ride with us with oxygen and fluids as we transferred my cat to TLC in Leesburg. The prognosis at this point looks good. Regardless, without the expertise and caring of these awesome folks I don't think my cat would of had a chance.Update: A few days later we had to put our 14 year old tabby down. The folks at Countryside AC gave 110% and are the reason we made it as far as we did. Though the outcome was not what we wanted, through the caring of these fine professionals we had the possibility of recovery though the wounds provided too severe to overcome.Dr Thigpen helped us multiple times throughout this process, frequently calling TLC for updates and in the end helping us make the heart breaking decision in the best interest of our cat. Dr. Thigpen is more than a vet to us - she is a wonderful and caring person friend we can always count on to help guide us through the ups and downs of animal ownership. We are fortunate to have found Dr. Thigpen and her incredible compassionate staff.Truman - you will forever be missed.

Very happy with this vet and how they treat my dog. She is getting old so needs more and more treatments, unfortunately, but they treat her so well here that she can't wait to come int he door and always is excited to see Dr. Thigpen walk in the room, even after all the uncomfortable examinations.They always manage to fit me in when she becomes suddenly sick, are very sympathetic and knowledgeable, and have outstanding bedside manner. Dr. Thigpen never gets frustrated when I ask endless questions, always writes down a summary of the visit and treatment plan, since I won't remember everything, and always tries to find ways to save me some money, especially on the prescriptions. On my last visit my dog was given a pain medication that made her too drowsy to walk. They brought all the checkout papers into the exam room for me so she could rest as long as possible, then helped me carry her out to the car. This is the first place I have been where the staff is so thoughtful and helpful.
