General Info
We are a full service veterinary clinic located in North Suffolk in the Hampton Roads area of Southeastern Virginia. We have a 3000 square foot facility offering separate entrances and waiting rooms for our canine and feline patients. Our Intensive Care Unit is located in our treatment area, allowing for close observation of our Surgical and Critical Care patients. We have an Isolation Room for any infectious disease cases and separate dog and cat kennel rooms, as well as a bathing area. We believe that an owner's input and understanding are vital in achieving the best in the care and treatment of their pet.

This is the best vet office! I had a bad experience at another vet and called Bennetts Creek the next day, explained the situation, and they were so helpful. Michelle, the practice manager, squeezed us in for an appointment the next day and even waved part of the fees. We saw Dr. Andrews and she was fabulous! She sat down on the ground with my dog and he felt so comfortable with her, he rolled right on to his back. Dr. Andrews and Summer were so kind and answered all of my questions. Every person that we met at the practice were so nice and friendly. I am glad that my bad experience at my last vet let me to finding this vet!

Most of the time I love this veterinarian hospital. The staff and doctors are very friendly. Today is ridiculous. I knew I was going to be 5 minutes late and I called to let the staff know. It wouldn't have mattered because putting my five minutes into consideration it has been 25 additional minutes and no one has seen me. I mean not even a hello. I've been in the same room with a whining dog (trumpet hates going to the vet, groomers, etc. and we are pushing 30 minutes as i write. I just need a booster shot of the vaccination. I didn't think it would take this long. Saturday is my only day to run errands and had I known it would take this long I wouldn't have done it. If my wait is 45 minutes or longer.... I'm going to leave. At that point I'm going to think they are only going to service me because I complained not because I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance. I love this pet hospital too but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to come back after today. At least someone could have said the doctor is running behind. After a 45 minute wait I decided to leave. I asked the receptionist to print out my services so I could find a new vet. While i was speaking to her another girl came into the room i was in to clean it up. Sooooo I'm thinking....you don't even care that the customer who was in the room just left?!?! Another receptionist went into the back and let them know that I had been waiting for now 50 minutes and was leaving. They apologized and asked if I still wanted to have trumpet seen. I mean yeah... so I wouldn't have completely wasted an hour of my life. I had to wait another 5 minutes for the doctor to come in. She apologized and gave trumpet a shot. It took less than 3 minutes. The worse part of this visit was the excuse they gave me. The nurse told me they had misplaced my chart and that's why they didn't know I was in there waiting. But while I was waiting in the room I heard a nurse talking to another person letting them know that Trumpet was in room 3. They chuckled and laughed about whatever and I waited.

Great vet!!! I took my cat in today for what was a small problem but to me was very traumatic. They were great to not only calm my nerves but also kept my cat very calm and took great care of her. Staff was amazing and just love Dr Wichman. He took his time and answered all of my questions. This is definitely our new Vet!!!

They were great with my German Shepherd rescue who is antsy around other dogs. Took me straight back to an exam room and made us very comfortable. My dog did great and doesn't dread going back!

Poor management and after care. Great facility. Excellent care. High prices. They placed false information on my pets report and it was near impossible to get the false info removed. Management just makes excuses and marginalizes the client. I recently removed my pets from their care and moved to the vet clinic on Langley base. I'm pretty sure Bennetts Creek treat their customers this way because they don't have much competition in the area. If you can, travel further and pay less and get treated with some dignity.

Bennett Creek has a beautiful facility and very nice staff at the day care however they truly have no ethics when it comes to pricing and procedures. They order test and treatments that are not effective or standard practices and they over charge customers for normal medicines and food. I would highly suggest shopping a vet that you can trust. Please note that this previous review was removed and asking for further details. Specifically they recently raised all of their prices for even their most valued and loyal customers. In fact they recommended an $800 laser treatment when in fact the veterinary surgeon at another facility claimed "it was a waste of money and basically snake oil". They also have charged anywhere from 20%-40% higher for prescribed medicines than the open market and give pressure for not buying through them. If you can't trust your vet to take care of your best friend, who can you trust?

Started going to this vet September 2015. my husband and I had just moved here and this was the first vet we took our English bulldog to. Could not be happier with the care she received!! Our dog has a lot of allergy problems and over the years has had to see many vets. This is the first time a vet has been able to help her. I highly recommend this place. Always friendly and very helpful.

We love Bennetts Creek Veterinary Team!!! Dr. Emily Worthy has been my babies vet for a VERY long time and I wouldn't want anybody else to care for my babies..there's not one single time I've ever contacted Dr. Worthy for emergencies she hasn't called me right back and always gave me the best of advice!! But if she wasn't available i wouldnt let anybody care for my babies UNLESS it was Dr. Johnson or Dr. Wichman I trust every single person at this place with my fur babies cause I know they will treat n care for them just like there own!!!!!

I adore this clinic! All members of the staff seem passionate about what they do. Dr. Johnson was so caring when I had to put my furbaby of almost 16 years, Shane, to sleep back in June, 2015. It hurt my heart, but he made me feel good knowing it was for the best. We have a new furbaby that was given to us. She visited Dr. Wichman for the first time last week & he was great with her! Thanks team! You all are awesome!

Overcharged!!! Refused to give me an estimate. Almost doubled the amount of the primary visit charge I WAS quoted because, "he had to think about my dog's treatment options while he was with his next client". This visit was for a second opinion. He came up with the same treatment as the first vet I went to (that did not work) at nearly 3 TIMES the COST! So, nearly three hundred dollars later I have my dog's ears wrapped and taped, with hair already sticking to the tape. My dog is very sensitive and I knew this would be a problem. Dr. Wichman refused to fix this before we left the office. It needed fixed while he (the dog) was still sedated. He (Wichman) refused several times. My dog ripped the wrap off the second day-taking MOST of the skin off his ears with it. They refused to quote a rewrap or visit charge and definitely were not going to comp it-even though it was an issue before we left.
Also, just a warning...DO NOT GET INTO A DISCUSSION REGARDING HIS KID'S BRACES-your bill WILL reflect it!
NOT WORTH THE MONEY TO GO HERE!!!! Don't get suckered into the "laser" treatments. It "may" heal your dog "about"

Amazing staff. Vets are caring and compassionate. Treat patients with respect- and their humans as well! I have used Bennetts Creek Vet for the last 9 years- Dr. Wickman is amazing- but all vets there are very good! Office staff is top notch and understand that our 4 legged babies are important to us and make every effort to get you in ASAP. Highly recommend!

Great vet service. I have been taking my cat to the location for the last two years. Staff has always been very friendly, however I wish I could say my cat was. I have the friendliest cat that hates going to the vet. Price of initial first visit can be high mainly due to tests they want to take on your pet. Doctors indicate they want an accurate account of your animal, however I found my second to be less cost and reasonable.

My kitty started to swell and I knew something was wrong! I went to see Emily and it was terrible, she mis-read the blood work, gave me a huge bag of food for my swollen cat that I told her over and over again was NOT eating and was swelling up! She just gave me blank stairs and acted like she had no clue what to do and she did NOT! I took my cat home but was so worried about her I actually took her back to see another vet there not the one before, but he was busy and they treated me very badly so I walked out and went to a emergency clinic which was wonderful! They told me about the mis-read blood work and could not believe nothing else was done for my poor kitty, she did not get better and I had to put her down, but if that vet that had the chance to help her actually tried to help her maybe she would still be here. They are all about MONEY, they actually sent me my history in the mail and told me to not come back! Do not go there and if you do, do NOT go to the person named Emily hopefully she went back to vet school! What a air head. This happen over a year ago, I waited to write this because I did not want to be angry but I still am....bad place.

This is the best vet office! I had a bad experience at another vet and called Bennetts Creek the next day, explained the situation, and they were so helpful. Michelle, the practice manager, squeezed us in for an appointment the next day and even waved part of the fees. We saw Dr. Andrews and she was fabulous! We love Bennetts Creek Veterinary Team!!! Dr. Emily Worthy has been my babies vet for a VERY long time and I wouldn't want anybody else to care for my babies..there's not one single time I've ever contacted Dr. Worthy for emergencies she hasn't called me right back and always gave me the best of advice!! But if she wasn't available i wouldnt let anybody care for my babies UNLESS it was Dr. Johnson or Dr. Wichman I trust every single person at this place with my fur babies cause I know they will treat n care for them just like there own!!!!!

I adore this clinic! All members of the staff seem passionate about what they do. Dr. Johnson was so caring when I had to put my furbaby of almost 16 years, Shane, to sleep back in June, 2015. It hurt my heart, but he made me feel good knowing it was for the best. We have a new furbaby that was given to us. She visited Dr. Wichman for the first time last week & he was great with her! Thanks team! You all are awesome!

Overcharged!!! Refused to give me an estimate. Almost doubled the amount of the primary visit charge I WAS quoted because, "he had to think about my dog's treatment options while he was with his next client". This visit was for a second opinion. He came up with the same treatment as the first vet I went to (that did not work) at nearly 3 TIMES the COST! So, nearly three hundred dollars later I have my dog's ears wrapped and taped, with hair already sticking to the tape. My dog is very sensitive and I knew this would be a problem. Dr. Wichman refused to fix this before we left the office. It needed fixed while he (the dog) was still sedated. He (Wichman) refused several times. My dog ripped the wrap off the second day-taking MOST of the skin off his ears with it. They refused to quote a rewrap or visit charge and definitely were not going to comp it-even though it was an issue before we left.
Also, just a warning...DO NOT GET INTO A DISCUSSION REGARDING HIS KID'S BRACES-your bill WILL reflect it!
NOT WORTH THE MONEY TO GO HERE!!!! Don't get suckered into the "laser" treatments. It "may" heal your dog "about"

Amazing staff. Vets are caring and compassionate. Treat patients with respect- and their humans as well! I have used Bennetts Creek Vet for the last 9 years- Dr. Wickman is amazing- but all vets there are very good! Office staff is top notch and understand that our 4 legged babies are important to us and make every effort to get you in ASAP. Highly recommend!

Great vet service. I have been taking my cat to the location for the last two years. Staff has always been very friendly, however I wish I could say my cat was. I have the friendliest cat that hates going to the vet. Price of initial first visit can be high mainly due to tests they want to take on your pet. Doctors indicate they want an accurate account of your animal, however I found my second to be less cost and reasonable.

Would never bring my animals anywhere else. you wont find vets and staff who care more for your pets, or find vets or staff more knowledgeable. have been with this team of doctors for over 10 years.

My kitty started to swell and I knew something was wrong! I went to see Emily and it was terrible, she mis-read the blood work, gave me a huge bag of food for my swollen cat that I told her over and over again was NOT eating and was swelling up! She just gave me blank stairs and acted like she had no clue what to do and she did NOT! I took my cat home but was so worried about her I actually took her back to see another vet there not the one before, but he was busy and they treated me very badly so I walked out and went to a emergency clinic which was wonderful! They told me about the mis-read blood work and could not believe nothing else was done for my poor kitty, she did not get better and I had to put her down, but if that vet that had the chance to help her actually tried to help her maybe she would still be here. They are all about MONEY, they actually sent me my history in the mail and told me to not come back! Do not go there and if you do, do NOT go to the person named Emily hopefully she went back to vet school! What a air head. This happen over a year ago, I waited to write this because I did not want to be angry but I still am....bad place.
