We used this vet clinic because the previous dog owners had used the vet clinic and we were trying to limit any new anxiety for the dog. I called the clinic at 9. Our dog had two days worth of medication left and I needed to know how to get more medication. I asked for the prescription quantity written to last a month. I was told that the clinic would call when the prescription was signed later in the morning. During lunch, my husband was told that the vet was at lunch but should sign the prescription upon return. At nearly 4, I called. Lindsey answered the phone with a bad attitude. Stating they had jumped through hoops to get the prescription signed early in the morning and that they process takes 24 hours. I asked why they lied to my husband. I got no answer. This was the first time I heard about the 24 hours. She snapped and told me that my dog only takes a certain dosage. I corrected her. She said we increased the dosage. I corrected her and told her the doctor increased the dosage. I then did some simple math to explain that we were not getting a month quantity and asked if that was normal policy. She continued a bad attitude, I asked to speak to the office manager. I was told no. I asked to talk with anyone else and was told no. She told me they had “given’ me everything I wanted so what was the problem. I corrected her and told her that if they choose to limit refills to make it where the customer must call back every four months, then that cost for the doctor is already factored into the office visit price and no one has given me anything for free. After she hung up on me, I decided my dog could do without the North Suffolk Animal Clinic just fine. There are many qualified veterinarians. If the North Suffolk Animal Clinic chooses to employ customer service staff that lacks basic customer service skills then it is up to their customers to decide to accept the substandard administrative service or not. Vets and vet techs are all awesome. Can usually get an appointment same day. Vets remember people and dogs and make the experience very personable. We have a very shy puppy and they encouraged us to come for "cookie visits" to have positive experiences with the vets and staff to help build her confidence. We have a long way to go but sincerely appreciate everyone's patience and helpfulness while we work with our shy pup :) Can definitely tell everyone employed loves animals and just wants what is best for them and their health. I have been going to North Suffolk Animal Hospital for my dogs for several years.  The admin staff is courteous and efficient, the vet techs and assistants are all very professional, friendly and appear to really care about the animals.  Dr. Browning is the vet that I have seen over the years and he is amazing.  His diagnosis and treatment has been crucial to my dog's well being.  He was also with me when I had to say good-bye to my 16.5 year old dog.  He is a very caring person and is always looking out for my pets.  I hear good things about the other vets as well.  Highly recommend and glad to have found them. I've visited a couple Vet offices in my time and North Suffolk Animal Hospital is by far the best one. Reason being is that the Vets and their Assistants are very friendly. You know your pet is in good hands. They take the time to explain to you anything you don't understand and they recommend ideas you haven't thought of. The front desk attendees are knowledgable as well. Amy is a rock star! She remembers my dog from the first day I brought her in and the story that goes with that. We recently switched to North Suffolk from a Smithfield vet and couldn't be happier. Dr. Edwards and her staff are so kind, caring, and professional. They take exceptional care of our dogs. When we've had to use the Cove on the weekend Dr. Edwards always calls Monday morning and a few days later to make sure our dog is doing well. I recently came to North Suffolk Clinic because our bulldog, Lincoln, was very sick and his previous vet could not be accommodating to his needs. We met with Dr. Edwards and she was amazing. To make a long, sad story short, we laid our beloved Lincoln to rest 3 days after our first meeting Dr. Edwards. Through those very difficult 3 days, we could not have asked for a better vet or person to assist us. Dr. Edwards showed so much compassion and concern for Lincoln, you would have thought she had been his Dr. from the time we brought him home. When we are ready to open our hearts and home to another pet, Dr. Edwards will definitely be his/her doctor. It was a blessing that we walked in to North Suffolk Animal Clinic that day. They treat you pet as if it is their ownI took my beloved JR terrier to Dr. Browning for years. When she was unable to stand up on a Saturday morning I knew it was time to let her go. I could not bare to see her suffer. I had her for 15 1/2 years. I called the clinic in tears asked if I could bring her in. They got an appointment for me to come in within 3 hours knowing what I needed to do. That gave me an opportunity to spend precious time with her to say goodbye. When I took her in everyone was so compassionate and gentle with my Haley. They gave her the respect and dignity she desired. Although it was hard to go through the process they helped her go without pain. I held her in my arms privately until she passed . I can not express how much it meant to see them to treat her with love and compassion. Dr. Browning and the staff are all amazing. I am now taking my new puppy to Dr. Browning an know she will get the same wonderful care for her entire life that they give all of their patients . They treat all of them as is they are their own. Recently, I came to North Suffolk, in a last ditch effort to save my Great Dane. Nobody knew what was wrong with her. She had stopped eating and moving. Dr Browning saved her. She is back to her normal weight and running around like she used to. Yesterday I was splicing a cut telephone cable in 27 degree ice and snow. I hear a voice ask, "are you freezing in there?" I look up and it is Dr Browning. He had seen me working, gone home, made me a cafe mocha, and brought it to me in the 4 foot deep hole I was working in. We came to the clinic on 12-26-11, desperate to find out why our baby, whom we have had for only five months, was always sick. She had her good days and she had her bad days. We were her third family, yet it seemed as though we had her from the start. She was our "Bella" and our family loved her so much. We went to another VET over and over spending well over $1000 and they didn't know what was wrong..gave us meds and sent us home. I finally had enough and called NSAC. Their staff immediately scheduled an appointment for me that afternoon and off we went...not knowing this would be the last "car ride" with our Bella. (Bella loved going for rides) When we got there, the staff was awesome and Dr. Gallahorn was impeccable. She asked questions and noticed stuff about our baby that the previous VET never did. The news was grim and our baby girl was suffering..so she was laid to rest that very same visit. Dr. Gallahorn allowed me to stay in the room with her for the entire process...my baby was not alone and the last face she saw was mine telling her how much I loved her. The staff was very sympathetic and comforting to me as I sat on the floor with our girl..crying. I couldn't have asked for a better clinic..i just wished we had taken her there to begin with. This clinic is the best and we will be taking our next puppy there to receive the highest quality care so that our next family member will have the longer, healthier life with us. We miss our Bella so very much, but we know we did what was best for her and we will now ensure we go no where else but North Suffolk Animal Clinic. Read Less

We take our three kitties to this office. The staff is extremely professional and friendly. You don't even need an appointment during the week. Just walk in and you'll be seen fairly quickly. The office staff is very knowledgeable and treat your pets very well! I have never felt like this office was trying to nickel and dime me by prescribing this and that just to make a profit (I've been to a place like that). They call the next day after your appointment to ensure your pet is doing well. They also have a "pet portal" where you can view your pets' medical records, post pictures, make appointments, search information and so much more online! I highly recommend this office! Read Less
