I wish I could give this place 0 stars, but since that is not an option, I am giving it one star simply because the only person at this place that shows regard for human and animal decency is Cristal. Dr. Hall, on the other hand is rude and condescending, and very dismissive of your concerns for your animal. I had been attempting for months to find out the culprit for my kitten's congestion, wheezing, and stuffy nose, and discharging eyes. I was given several antibiotics to try to help my kitten feel better, but nothing seemed to work. Eventually, my vet (Dr. Ashly Smith at Banfield Alexandria, who is incredible), placed my kitten under anesthesia and removed an abnormal growth from his throat region. After getting the sample tested, results came back non-cancerous, but with lots of inflammatory cells. She suggested I see a dental specialist to rule out malocclusion and to see if we can determine the cause of the inflammatory cells. I took my Sphynx kitten to be seen by him yesterday (5/23/19) and during this "consultation," which was just a Banfield bashing session from him, he essentially just spoke down about other practices and vets. Although he gave me a bad feeling, I genuinely wanted answers for why my kitten's health seems to not be improving, and put faith into these medical "professionals." I opted for my kitten to get blood work done and a full mouth x-ray with Dr. Hall. It was a big mistake to do so.The WORST part of the experience was not just Dr. Hall's inability to communicate appropriately with other people, but the treatment of my kitten post-anesthesia.When my boyfriend came to pick my kitten up, Dr. Hall came out from the back room SWINGING the cat carrier I had provided in the morning, with my kitten inside, NOT EVEN A 1/2 HOUR post-anesthesia. NO ONE with any regard for animal life would do such a horrific thing, let alone someone I trusted as a "medical professional." When my boyfriend simply asked clarifying questions about the procedures that were done, and if Dr. Hall had answers to inflammation of cells in my cat's throat, he responded condescendingly and dismissively, blaming Banfield once again. I called the office to complain about the above to the office staff, who basically tried to mask Dr. Hall's behavior, saying "he was just in a jovial mood." I don't care what mood he is in - it is inappropriate what he did with my kitten post-anesthesia. PERIOD. It is a true shame, because even if Dr. Hall has the experience and knowledge in his practice, he certainly has 0 ability to effectively and appropriately communicate with other HUMANS. I would recommend saving your money (I ended up paying $781 for blood work and x-rays), time, and your own heartache in dealing with this man, for another specialized place for animal dental care. We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Hall, Cristal, and the staff at Animal Dental Clinic. We were referred to Dr. Hall from our regular vet since our 7 lb. senior chihuahua needed some dental work. During our consultation, both Dr. Hall and Cristal immediately got down on the floor with our cranky old chi to get to know him (and his many quirks), and it's clear that the staff truly love and care about the animals they work with. We talked at length about a treatment plan and I never felt pressure - Dr. Hall laid out the pros and cons of a few different treatment methods and helped me make an informed decision. After surgery, Dr. Hall called the next day to check in and see how things were going. As it turns out, our pup wound up getting a pretty nasty infection, and Dr. Hall was nothing but kind as he came into the office to meet us on both a Saturday and Sunday to provide care. Even though the healing process took longer than we anticipated, we received periodic calls from both Dr. Hall and Cristal to check in on our dog (and his worried humans) for several days, and when we called or emailed we always received a prompt response. I recommend this practice without hesitation! Read Less

We went to see Dr. Hall after a ton of consideration. We knew we wanted someone incredibly experienced when our 16 year old dog stopped eating and had been having pretty severe teeth chattering that had been gradually building up over the course of several months (this can be a sign of oral pain and a potential cause for her not wanting to eat - also can be neurological, but paired with her breath, we could confidently assume that her teeth were causing her some level of pain). We wanted someone board-certified and discovered that there's only three (currently) veterinary oral specialists in the state of VA. Once I found ADC and Dr. Hall, I found in his off-time, he had also been performing dental surgeries for the last 12 years at the National Zoo and had been board-certified for 25 years, which was longer than the other two BC vets in VA. When I called to talk to someone about scheduling a consultation, to my surprise, Dr. Hall got on the phone himself. He answered my questions with honesty and spoke to me far longer than he ever needed to considering I was not yet even a client. I was so grateful for this because I was *terrified* of anesthetizing my little girl at 16 but recognized that if I didn't do something, she may eventually starve herself and she could very well be in agony. Even with any sort of risk of anesthesia, I needed to make the choice to try to help her because I refused to think of her being in pain and watch her appetite continue to decrease. Dr. Hall reminded me that age is not a disease and while there's always some level of risk, the risk is low and generally, anesthesia is very safe. Unfortunately, they were scheduling surgery around a week or so out, and because she wasn't eating anything other than a tiny bit of steak by this point (literally all she would eat), I went to get a second opinion at one of the other BC vets. On my drive there, I called the third BC vet to see how long they had been performing surgeries; both still had less experience in the field than Dr. Hall. The oral specialist I had an appointment with that morning just so happened to have a cancellation that day and could've operated on her that very same morning, but my gut still told me no -- with her age and assuming her oral issues would be decently severe to cause that level of chattering, I still wanted someone with the most experience possible. I walked out of their office and ADC just so happened to call me as they also had a cancellation and instead could see Sadie in a couple of days instead of a week. I was both thrilled and terrified and set up her surgery date.On the day of her consult and surgery, I met Dr. Hall for the first time. I think the not-so-happy reviews on here are mostly based upon people who allow their ego or personal opinions of his demeanor to get in the way of their loved one's well-being. I will say that Dr. Hall is a confident and politely assertive guy who doesn't sugar-coat things, which I personally appreciate as I don't want to be buttered up into denial. I realize some may not take to this well but you really should consider the **amount of experience** he has, the thousands upon thousands of both exotic and domesticated animals he's performed surgeries on -- and with 25 years of experience and knowledge in this field, his opinion was HIGHLY important to me. And I encourage you to consider this as well. All this to say: my sweet Sadie went into surgery on Wednesday, January 23 and it took about 2 1/2 hours. He extracted over 10 of her teeth and repaired a hole that had developed from oral infection. Being a senior, her recovery coming out of anesthesia was slower than I expected as I had to gently syringe feed her for a few days because her mouth was so painful. Prior to her surgery, her teeth chattering had very slowly progressed over the course of almost a year, and right before surgery, her chattering was so loud and severe it kept me up at night in total panic. There would be maybe a handful of hours combined in a day where she WOULDN'T be chattering. The moment she came out of that surgery, her chattering has been reduced by 90%. & ever since her oral sutures had healed, she is now EATING again -- her regular diet on her own, eating all of it and anything I put in front of her. I can't stop talking about it. The change is tremendous and absolutely night and day. She's charging the yard towards our neighbor's dog -- SPRINTING at him, which I have to get her to stop because she IS 16 and I don't want her to hurt herself, and is running and barking for treats and is excited for things I haven't seen in so long. I cry from happiness all the time. She is the love of my life and he's given me more time with her. I don't know how long that time will be, but I know for a fact we absolutely made the right decision. He is going to be the dental surgeon for all of our babies from here on out. Dr. Hall, thank you for EVERYTHING -- for giving us back our babygirl. Read Less

Skilled, competent, compassionate care.  I scheduled with Dr. Hall after dozens of internet searches.  My priority when selecting a doctor to care for my dog's broken 4th pre-molars was competency, experience, compassion, and cost..in that order.  When it comes to caring for a beloved pet/family member, here is where you really have to understand not just the cost, but the value.First impressions:My initial phone contact was with Sarah.  She was professional, friendly, and patient.  Although she was very busy, she was willing to answer questions about general costs based on a description of my pets issues and offered to respond with more details via email.  I provided pictures of my dogs teeth and received a response with an hour or so.  I realize there were other doggie/cat patients that needed her attention, so I appreciated the follow-up. Office Visit:The office was easily accessible from Route 66.  The environment is clean and fresh and the person who greeted us, Crystal,  was very friendly and made the check-in process smooth.  Within 5 minutes of arriving, we were escorted to an exam room. The Doctor:After a short wait, Dr Hall came with a smile and a firm handshake. That immediately calmed some my anxiety.  Dr. Hall also got down on the floor to meet my pet, which I loved.  He patiently walked me through my dental options and shared approximate costs. There was no pressure to go with any particular option, but the available options were openly shared, including the follow-up requirements for each.  I felt zero pressure to go in any specific direction and was relieved when Dr Hall told me that my pet would be fine with whatever option was selected.  With that assurance I moved forward. My pet was patient #3 for that day.  I left my pet in Dr. Halls hands and ~5 hours later, he personally  called with a status update.  He found two more teeth were broken(I had no idea).  I gave the okay to deal with all the damaged teeth and with two hours I got a call from Crystal letting me know Raven was in recovery and I could return for her.Discharge:Crystal shared photographs of my pet's teeth and explained what was done.  She was extremely thorough in her discharge instructions and handed me a packet that included the doctors notes, details of what was done, radiograph and camera images, and follow-up care instructions.  The attention to detail and the thoroughness of the communication in this office is superb!  Within a few minutes Dr Hall came out with radiograph pictures of my pets teeth and discussed what he had done and the overall health of her mouth. After he was done, he went back to get my pet.  She came running up to me, which was so awesome.  It let me know she was her normal self - a little groggy from anesthesia- but mobile and alert.Follow-up:The next morning, Dr Hall called personally to check on her and reminded me of our two week follow-up appointment. When it comes to anything you love...details matter!  If you are deeply concerned about the level of care your pet is given and you desire excellence in treatment, care, and follow-up...look no further.  The value was worth the cost! The procedure was a cleaning and with our scares about any kind of general anesthesia, we are glad our dog survived this. The practice is very small staffed and the 1 front desk lady does everything from medical records to dealing with all customer concerns/complaints/questions, relaying messages to the doctor, records, etc.  We got the feeling that the practice is stressed out for extra resources in general, and interaction with customers comes across as such, strained. The front desk woman is very arrogant and offensive and the anesthesia they used had a very harsh affect on our pet. Our dog did not do well with it and took 3 -4 days to get back to normal when at other vets he snapped back by the next morning.  Our dog kept whining all through the night which was very unnerving. Be advised: this doctor may do the teeth of some zoo animals BUT he does not administer any anesthesia or medical care to these animals. The zoo has their own specialists do that. He just shows up and works on the teeth and then leaves. All in all, we would not return due to the front desk staff rudeness and difficulties, small staff, anesthesia issue, hassles, etc. Read Less

Initially, things were going well with my dog's consultation. Dr. Hall was giving a pretty good explanation of what was needed and how he'd proceed. However, things started to go South once I had questions. Maybe he doesn't like being questioned and we're just supposed to take his word as gospel. At one point I asked him about blood work concerns from our vet and he glanced at the report and told me that my vet obviously doesn't know what she's doing and that just because someone has a veterinarian license doesn't mean they know what they're doing. He then went on a rant about veterinarians in general saying that he's surprised they don't kill more animals because no one is as good as he is. I was sitting there in stunned silence. I'm angry with myself for not having the presence of mind to stand up for my usual vet. Now after all this, he doesn't even offer an estimate of cost, so I ask about it. He kind of scoffs at me as I wonder out loud if I can afford all this work. Big mistake because he snaps at me, "how do I know what you can afford?" Then there's a big sigh and he tells me it'll be, "probably around $5,000." I don't know about you, but I think that's kind of a big deal and something you need to let people know about! We're not talking spare change here. One more thing...while I was sitting in the lobby, I suppose he didn't realize I was still there, I hear him talking to his receptionist. He's going on a tirade about another veterinarian office and how stupid they all are. I find it incredibly unprofessional the way he bad-mouths he colleagues. I don't care how fantastic a veterinarian he may (or may not) be. Someone this arrogant and who displays so much contempt for others is not anyone I want to be around or trust the lives of my animals to. Read Less

This place is the gold standard in dental care for your pet.  My wife and I took our cat here after another vet said they could not appropriately clean her teeth (she needed too many extractions and they were concerned they'd break her jaw) and recommended Dr. Hall.  Coming recommended by another professional is always a huge plus.  And Dr. Hall did not disappoint! Our cat did not react well to the surgery she needed.  It happens.  Dr. Hall was exceedingly generous with his time, seeing her every few days for months for no extra charge.  He came in on a Saturday to give her fluids so that we would not have to take her to an animal hospital!Obviously most pets do much better and have a simple procedure, but you should be comforted to know that, if your pet needs it, the clinic (including all the amazing staff) will go above and beyond to do what they can. We'll be taking our cats and dog here in the future for all dental work.  Among other things, you will see that Dr. Hall is not the type to give you any BS or perform work unless it's medically necessary.  After years of being suspicious of whether recommended teeth cleanings are needed or are simply profitable, I'm happy to have found someone I trust to do the right thing for my pet every time. I rescued my pitty-mix, Monty Python about 3 years ago and knew I would need to do some major surgery on the poor guys teeth. Someone had cut all 4 of his canine teeth! Dr. Hall was amazing with him and made me feel comfortable in my ability to care for him after his surgery ( I was much more nervous than Monty P). I had done a lot of research on dental specialists in the DC area and was willing to travel pretty far to get the right kind of treatment. The whole staff is amazing and they were extremely flexible with my schedule. It has been about 3 weeks since Monty got his teeth removed and I can honestly say it has changed both of our lives. When Monty went in for his follow-up today, he was so wiggly-excited to see Dr. Hall and Cristal. I'll be bringing all of my rescues here in the future for their dental check ups.Thank you all for such a welcoming experience! Read Less

Yesterday, my dog, Pip, a Toller, went in for dental surgery by Dr. Hall at Animal Dental Clinic in Vienna, VA.  Dr. Hall also works for the National Zoo.   About a decade ago,  Dr. Hall was the dentist of my German Shepherd who had a root canal. My concern at that time was whether the crown would last. It did-- thru the lifetime of my dog thanks to a special customized composite for a crown. This time, my one year old Toller had multiple damaged teeth (7) on the same side of his face. Whether he crashed into something or chewed rocks or a hard toy or bone, I will never know. The steps for Pip were clearly laid out by Dr. Hall and his staff, Allison and Crystal, who were thorough, patient, and pleasant in their responses to my numerous questions.  Yesterday morning,  I brought my dog in.  After Dr. Hall had reviewed the x-rays, Dr. Hall called me with his recommendation. Shortly afterwards,  Pip was operated on.  Later that day, I picked him up.Using Dr. Hall, I am confidant that I have done my best for my dog.  What family practitioner has such specialized experience?   There are so few dog dentist specialists in the country. Would you let your internist extract your tooth? From now on, my dog will go once a year for a dental checkup. For all the dental work, the cost of the procedures was surprisingly affordable. I brought my 3 year old dog, Harper, to see Dr. Hill at the recommendation of her vet.  Harper had 3 fractured teeth with the pulp/nerve exposed.  I was able to get an appointment quickly and it's very convenient that the office lets you schedule the consultation and procedure same day.  The day before her appointment, I received a call from the office reminding me not to give her breakfast and to see if I had any questions.  My husband took her in for her consult the next morning. Dr. Hill examined Harper's mouth and mentioned a few options, but wanted to get a closer look once she was put under.  Later that day, after getting a better look, Dr. Hill called me and my husband and discussed the best options and provided cost estimates.  We pulled two smaller teeth and decided to get a root canal for a canine tooth that was chipped.  I picked her up in the afternoon (my first time to the office) and was rather impressed.  The office is lovely; clean, comfortable and nicely decorated.  Very homey.  I was immediately greeted and attended to.  I believe one women's name is Crystal (or maybe Krista?) and she was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable.  She told me how the procedures went and what to can expect when Harper comes out.  She walked me through detailed instructions for her medications and brushing.  She even provided tips for making it an enjoyable process for Harper.  Dr. Hill came out with Harps and went over the procedure and again, answered my questions.  Harper came out with her tail wagging and was more alert than I expected.  I chatted with Dr. Hill and Crystal for awhile and never felt rushed.  Dr. Hill called the next day to check in.  We were having a hard time getting Harps to take her medication and keep it down.  He gave me some tips, which worked like a charm!  The cost was very reasonable too.  I was afraid it would be high since it's more of a specialty practice, but it was comparable with what my vet quoted (excluding the root canal since the vet office doesn't perform them).  Overall I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this practice.  Added bonus, they asked if I wanted to keep the teeth they pulled (duh)! I adopted Daisy last Fall; she was 7 years old from what they could estimate. Her teeth had some wearing down that I had never experienced with any of my other past 7 dogs. I initially went to the Veterinary Clinic in Leesburg; received a consultation and scheduled an appointment to have her taken in; knocked out and have her teeth and mouth examined to see if there was anything going on, not noticeable to the naked eye. The appointment was set for about 6 weeks out. A few days before her appointment I called to see if they determined what time they needed me to bring her in. I was told no, that it probably wouldn't be until the afternoon as they had geriatrics booked in the morning. I was not comfortable with not allowing her to eat anything since midnight before until some time in the afternoon when they "thought" they would call me. I said then let me schedule another day, and they said that didn't matter as they could not guarantee a morning appointment. I don't know about you but when I book something as far as as 6 weeks or so and then still put on a list to call the day of, It does not sit right with me. So I cancelled the appointment and called Dr. Hall's office and spoke with Crystal, told her my delima. She was my first encounter with the Animal Dental Clinic. She totally understood and told me a morning appointment that we could take. I am so glad the Leesburg appointment didn't work out - Dr Hall is amazing. You can tell he truly cares about every singe pet he sees. When you go in, Crystal greets the pet(s) first to help them feel comfortable. Dr Hall was the same way; he walks into the examining room and immediately gets down on the floor or to the dogs level and bonds with the animal. He is extremely intelligent but able to break down any procedure or dental explanation so you can understand it. With close to 30 years experience, volunteering at the DC Zoo working on dental issues with wild animals, he is still very down to earth and you can see in his demeanor he truly loves animals. And to top it all off - when I went to check out, I was surprised to see my bill was about half of what the Leesburg Clinic wanted to charge. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Hall. If he did people teeth I would let him do mine as well. Dr. Hall, keep up the good work and God Speed! Read Less

All of our questions were answered and we felt that we were well informed as to the procedures that would be performed. Five hours later we received a phone call that our beloved pet was ready to be picked up. She was a little woozy when we met her in the reception area but otherwise normal and ready to return home. And the best part was her halitosis was completely gone and her teeth had been cleaned professionally and thoroughly. The staff at the clinic went to great lengths to completely review the treatment she had received, her x-rays, and any issues that were found during the exam. We are completely happy with the professional medical care our dog received and look forward to our next visit to our new "doggy dentist." A+! Read Less

I read all of the Google reviews before taking my dog to Animal Dental Clinic, including the one-star review. My dog had his appointment today. I did not experience any treatment as one-star wrote. Instead, I saw a Vet who clearly enjoys taking care of animals. I have not been around Veterinarians all my life, but i was raised on a farm. Oh, wait, I do hang out with Vets, but that's because I am a Soldier in the Army 😁 Anyhow, my dog took right to Dr. Hall, the Veterinarian, and my dog is an excellent judge of character. Just ask the pesky solicitors who ring our doorbell. My dog warmed to Dr. Hall instantly. The Dr. explained everything, answered all of my questions, then my dog followed him to the back like my dog owned the place without whining for his mom or even looking back at me. That never happens. My dog knows an animal lover when he smells one. And the staff! Crystal is a gem! She explained everything to me on postop instructions, and gave me written instructions to take with me. I had no idea how bad his teeth were, but it also wasn't a surprise as they had been looking bad. I shouldn't have waited so long to take my dog in to see the Dr. Don't wait like I did. Have your animal's teeth checked early and often! We do as humans. And it's not like our pets can tell us they have a tooth ache. Also, they give a discount to military! Dr. Hall is a compassionate professional operating in a relatively rare subspecialty of veterinary medicine. His passion lies in your animal's oral health and comfort, first and foremost. The first thing he did when he walked into the exam room was to greet my cat by getting on his level and to commence building initial trust. Major points for this!! In addition to his office practice in Vienna, he's worked on a plethora of exotic species, and uses his gifts via volunteer work as well. Disclaimer: Dr. Hall may deliver news about your pet's dental needs which may, at first, be hard to digest or will be shocking. To quote him, he "opens Pandora's Box every day". I brought my cat Alastair in for what I thought would be a status quo consult, radiography screen, and cleaning. I proceeded to learn that my precious cat was in advanced stages of tooth resorption, and he had many teeth already missing, and had no functional teeth which worked together productively. The recommendation was a full mouth extraction of the teeth he had left, and that "he'd be much happier toothless". At first, I thought I'd need a spatula to peel myself off the floor. I implore anyone in this situation who has brought his or her beloved animal to Dr. Hall to *trust his professional judgment*. If he comes across curt, it is because he knows his stuff and sincerely wants to heal your animal. He is NOT trying to be pushy, scare you, or rob you blind. I took time while Dr. Hall put Alastair under anesthesia and did the radiography to research Alastair's condition a bit more while recovering from my initial shock, and quickly concluded Dr. Hall had hit the nail on the head. I authorized the full mouth extractions, learning a domesticated animal can easily live a high-quality life without teeth, and even gum crunchy treats or food once healed! Dr. Hall did a beautiful job with the surgery. Post-surgical consult with both him and his office manager Kim was thorough and comprehensive, including full transparency of aftercare instructions and review of radiography results He called the following AM, again, very patiently going through concerns, including the fact Alastair had removed his pain patch overnight. Dr. Hall called my primary vet right away to call in oral pain meds to ascertain Alastair didn't miss a beat pain med wise . Alastair has two post-surgical consults lined up as well. Long story short, you may not hear from Dr. Hall what you want to hear about your animal, but you will definitely hear what you need to hear. His care is worth every penny and ounce of your trust. Dr. Hall is amazing.  He obviously cares about pets.  I received two independent veterinary recommendations to remove a tumor, some teeth, and part of my dog's jaw prior to visiting Dr. Hall.  He was very professional and answered all my questions.  Dr. Hall was recommended to me by someone I know and trust.  I was nervous about doing the procedure on an older dog, but with two independant recommendations, I felt it was the best choice for my dog's health.  My dog did fine, the surgery went well, and Dr. Hall followed up with a personal phone call to me the day after my pet's surgery to check on my dog and to see if I had any questions.  Kim, in his office, is also great.  My dog has fully recovered from the procedure and is doing great. I highly recommend Dr. Hall! Read Less

Avoid Animal Dental Clinic in Vienna and Dr. Hall. I wanted to let you all know about a horrible experience I had today at the Animal Dental Clinic in Vienna with Dr. Hall. I have been around animals and vet clinics most of my life and have to say that this was the worst visit to a vet clinic I have ever experienced. I took my cat to him to try and figure out why she was having such mouth pain and possibly figure out a reason why she was having nasal congestion and discharge. After having a nasal scope at RVRC by Dr. Killrain (whom I cannot recommend enough, he was great) and reaching no conclusion, a veterinary dentist was our next step. Dr. Hall at the Animal Dental Clinic was rude, condescending, and was not at all concerned about my cats history or symptoms. In fact it seemed like speaking with me about her was putting him out and that he didn't necessarily care what I had to say. My cat was to see Dr. Hall and then have an oral exam, etc under anesthesia the same day. After a quick 10 minute exam by him, and by then, him knowing how upset I was by the visit (and tears flowing down my face), I told him that I thought he was rude, had a terrible bedside manner and that I was taking my cat to someone else as I did not trust him to treat my cat. He still proceeded to charge me $140 for a consultation (of about 10 minutes) and I went on my way, without any type of apology from him or his office staff. I highly recommend you do not take your pet to him or his clinic as I cannot imagine him being any different with another customer. Read Less

I'm not one to post reviews, but had to write one about the exceptional treatment our young cat received from the Animal Dental Clinic! One day she yawned and I noticed a growth in her mouth that looked suspicious. Although she was acting fine, I thought it was best to take her in to her normal vet to get it checked out. Her regular vet said it was a "classic case of stomatitis" and that he recommended tooth extraction. Given that she was only 13 months old and wasn't having any of the typical symptoms of stomatitis (and the major recommendation of tooth extraction), I decided to take her into an expert for a second opinion. I am so glad I took her in to see Dr. Hall! He immediately disagreed about the stomatitis diagnosis and said that it was an oral mass. Tooth extraction would have been useless. She had the mass removed by Dr. Hall three weeks ago and we are so happy it wasn't cancerous. You can tell that Dr. Hall genuinely cares about animals. He is very patient and makes sure that he has answered every question you might have. I was so impressed that when I picked her up from surgery, Kim at the front desk took the time to explain all the details of surgery, what to expect while our cat recovered, and even handed me a good deal of papers with everything written down, pictures from the surgery, and copies of the dental x-rays they took. Dr. Hall even called the next day to make sure she was feeling okay and that we didn't have any concerns. About a week later, he even called us with the results from pathology. It may be pricey going to the Animal Dental Clinic, but things get done correctly the first time. I regret taking our cat to our regular vet and the money we spent getting useless tests done. I am so glad we didn't pay the $800+ they we were being quoted for her to get tooth extraction, and then still would have had to get this mass taken care of when it didn't resolve. My recommendation, if it deals with the mouth, just take your pet to an expert! Its so worth it! Read Less

Our dog, Mikey, somehow broke a tooth a few weeks ago. After a visit to the vet we were told to take him to an animal dentist. When we called, Kim, the receptionist, told us there was an appointment available the next day. Kim was incredibly welcoming when we arrived. She took us back to an exam room where we waited for just a few minutes before Dr. Hall came into see us. Dr. Hall immediately laid on the ground belly up and let Mikey come sniff him and lick him on the face. That was a great way to greet a more shy dog like Mikey. Dr. Hall told me about the options we had to take care of Mikey's broken tooth and patiently answered all of my questions. He was upfront with how much it would cost. We opted for a root canal with a metal crown and were pleasantly surprised that they were able to do the procedure the same day. The instructions we received to care for him after the root canal were detailed and clearly explained. Dr. Hall even called to check on Mikey the day after his procedure. Today we went back for the metal crown placement. Again, Kim and Dr. Hall were welcoming and gentle. It really was the small things that made the biggest difference for us. We would strongly recommend the Animal Dental Clinic team! Thanks for taking such good care of our boy. Read Less

It is my pleasure to write this review in support of Dr. Hall. Animal Dental Clinic has been a part of our pets lives for several years. Dr. Hall has been caring for my pets, since Dr. Williamss retirement, and I am 100% pleased with the results. Dr. Hall works very hard for our pets and has their best interest in mind. My second encounter with Dr. Hall involved our second eldest cat that needed full extractions due to severe gum disease (not my fault bad genes/bad gums). I was a nervous wreck and making it all about me. After Dr. Hall explained the pain our cat was in and her inability to eat, I knew the answer: full extraction. I put my trust in Dr. Halls skills, talent and education, and thankfully it paid off; the results were nearly instantaneous resulting in increased appetite and playtime. Our general veterinarian was very pleased with the improvements in our cats weight and attitude. It is now 2013 and the little girl will be celebrating her 19th Birthday oh yes, PLAYTIME its ON!!! I do know Dr. Hall considers our animals interests and what is best for them. In my opinion he is dedicated to his profession, and trade. While it is a business, it is one he takes great pride and care in. I would be hard pressed to go to another animal dentist, despite the fact that they are few and far between. Animal Dentistry is a highly skilled profession. Update 1/12/2016 Still a proud pet parent to two new fur patients of Dr. Hall. Read Less

Prior to taking our beloved cat to Animal Dental Clinic, I didn't even realize there was such a profession. Our middle aged cat broke her bottom canine tooth rather suddenly, and we quickly rushed her to the vet. Our regular vet examined her, and made a referral to two animal dental clinics in the area. We learned canine fractures are high risk for cats, given the location and risk for jaw fractures during extraction. Given the short turn around, our busy schedules, and the impending concern for our cat, we called the two dentists to obtain a better understanding of price, what was included in the procedures, and turnaround. The Animal Dental Clinic was able to accommodate us on a shorter turnaround, the location was more convenient, and the pricing seemed reasonable (for the services provided, all things considered). We went in for a consultation the next day and Dr. Hall walked us through the pros/cons of our options, and the costs of the procedure. He was very diligent to answer our questions and concerns, and ensured we were comfortable with the procedure that was about the be performed. After the procedure, he followed-up each day until we felt comfortable and confident in our cat's path to recovery. Dr. Hall and his staff are super kind and courteous. They recognize customers may be coming in under duress/stress, and are very good about taking down notes and walking you through the steps in easy to understand terms. Now nearly 1 month later, our cat is happy and healthy, and we are thrilled to have taken her to Dr. Hall. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an animal dentist consider Dr. Hall. Read Less

We were long time patients of Dr. Williams and saw Dr. Hall twice over the last 2 years for emergency care. He refused to do dental surgery on one of our cats and was able to let us know that the cat was severely sick with kidney disease which our regular vet missed. Dr. Hall said the dental treatment would be too risky even though our cat had an abscess. Instead he gave us antibiotics and some pain killers and suggested a specialist for kidney disease and thanks to Dr. Hall, our cat lived an extra couple of months. To me the sign of a good doctor is someone who knows the risks and limits and presents them to their clients and doesn't push for a treatment that may be harmful. Dr. Hall did just that. I have a lot of respect for him and aside from that incident, our other pets who see him (all seniors) have been treated very well by him. As an aside - many local vets bring their pets to see Dr. Hall as they did to Dr. Williams - even if they performed dental work on other pets.. To me that's a sign. If a vet who does dental work, takes their own pets to a board certified veterinary dentist - that means they trust him more than they trust themselves to do dental work... and that's where I'm going to bring my pets too.

Read Less

We brought our Pit mix to Animal Dental clinic in June 2018 for a dental cleaning. Our three year old rescue had horrible halitosis and we feared she had an infection or other dental issues. We met with Dr. Hall on our initial visit who patiently explained the entire process that our pet would undergo and the care she would receive.

Also a sign of a great business, helping those who serve. Read Less

Read Less
