My dog has been going to Holland Oaks Veterinary Hospital since he was 10 weeks old, he is now 8 years old and he has always received excellent care. Dr. Jones owns the practice but he employs other vets at times as he is often busy teaching students to be great Vets! The Doctors he employs are always top notch (Hi Dr. Emily!!). The techs are incredible (looking at you Mandy!) and the front office staff treats us like family (thank you Kristina!). Dr. Jones' daughter often works the front desk as well and watching her grow up over the years has been a delight. Her mother was an amazing woman and would be proud. Doctor Jones and his staff have always treated my little guy like he is the only patient in the world. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to my best friend.

We have been lifetime customers here until they turned us away for an emergency (they have attended to her for her 8 years) an hour and a half before they closed because we were "too late" next they sent us to a closed facility off Holland and by the time we got to the vet on Virginia Beach Blvd she passed away in the front seat of our car. Lastly they sent a half ass apology note with no writing just signatures. Gee thanks

I like Dr Jones, and Dr Figoroa but this past year I haven't seen Dr J and Dr F left the practice. I feel like they are trying to charge for things I don't need. Why pay for an annual exam and an additional Heartworm test. It should be part of the exam. Then to have to pay for the medication gets expensive and with multiple animals I am having to look elsewhere for a vet. I may even end up at the vbspca clinic.

Dr. Jones is by far the best vet ever. He is kind, caring, compassionate and very thorough. I have since moved cross country, but still wish that I had him as our vet. I have five pets--three cats and two dogs. He was amazing with every single one of them. Also, his prices are very comparable and he has called me several times to ask how one of my animals was doing following a procedure. Please move to California! I miss your expertise and bedside manner with my furbabies.

I love Dr. Jones and Dr. Fig. They are the most compassionate people I've run across in Va Bch! Their staff is wonderful as well. We had to put our beloved dog Harley to sleep and they let our whole family come in and lay on the floor to say goodbye. They gave us all the time we needed. A week after we put him to sleep we received a lovely condolence card with notes from the whole staff. I never write reviews but created an account with city search just to let people know that if you're looking for an outstanding Vet practice that goes above and beyond, this is it. Thank you again Holland Oaks Veterinary Hospital for the wonderful service you provided to our dog over the last 10 years. We truly appreciate everything you did for us.

Dr. Jones is the best vet I have EVER had. He is so caring and sweet to my animals, and takes the time to explain everything. I will agree with another poster to specifically ask for Dr. Jones because the other vet isn't nearly as knowledgeable. Also, we used to love Emily's perky demeanor, but since she left, a new girl has taken her place and is kind of a dingbat (not professional on the phone, double booking appointments, etc). And yes, the hours are pretty weird but at the same time they are very flexible so I don't mind it so much. Bottom line: Dr. Jones is one of the best vets out there.

I have been using them for 4 years. While Dr. Jones is a good vet, there is a lady vet that subbed for him once that I will decline in the future. The biggest difficulty though, is their hours. I never can keep up with when they are open because they open and close at different times each day - not consistent M-F or anything, and additionally they close down in the middle of every day for more than an hour.

Everyone in the practice is knowledgeable, friendly and very gentle with the animals and humans alike. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I love these guys. Every time I take my dog there they are friendly and very knowleddgeable. Almost every time I describe what is wrong with my dog the vet almost immediately knows what is wrong with him. Better yet he sits with you show you literature to assure you your pet has been properly diagnosed and is being properly treated. I would definitely put this vet on your list of ones to check out if you are looking for one. I doubt you'll be disappointed that you did.

My dog has been going to Holland Oaks Veterinary Hospital since he was 10 weeks old, he is now 8 years old and he has always received excellent care. Dr. Jones owns the practice but he employs other vets at times as he is often busy teaching students to be great Vets! The Doctors he employs are always top notch (Hi Dr. Emily!!). The techs are incredible (looking at you Mandy!) and the front office staff treats us like family (thank you Kristina!). Dr. Jones' daughter often works the front desk as well and watching her grow up over the years has been a delight. Her mother was an amazing woman and would be proud. Why pay for an annual exam and an additional Heartworm test. It should be part of the exam. We had to put our beloved dog Harley to sleep and they let our whole family come in and lay on the floor to say goodbye. They gave us all the time we needed.
