I've been so impressed with both Dr. Johnson and Dr. Kier, as well as the entire staff at Princess Anne Vet. They're knowledgeable, caring, empathetic, and great with all of our pets (three cats and a dog.) They're also competitively priced and have great wellness plans. I chose this practice based on their Yelp reviews when we just moved down and haven't been at all disappointed. I made an appointment with Dr. Kier and then kept going to him because we liked him so much, but needed an urgent appointment and had Dr. Johnson. If it's possible, we liked her even more--and our picky dog loved her too.

Based on all the reviews, I called to make an appointment to establish both of my dogs- for this to be our new vet. One of my dogs has issues with his glands and needs them expressed regularly. He's currently uncomfortable, as I told them this on the phone. Not only were they going to charge me a full exam fee of $65, plus the fee for expressed glands (which was a walk in, $15 service at all my previous vets) but both times I called, they were rude and expressed no concern for time sensitivity. I'm not in the habit of making a dog whose uncomfortable, in need of being seen- to wait over a week. I'm not confident, had an issue arose in the future, that this establishment would have met my needs in the event of an emergency.**Update. Please also review their response. Zero comment to their lack of time sensitivity for an appointment, or rude receptionist, but now I'm also "irresponsible" They could have asked for all of my current and past vet statements, as well up to date vaccines records. Your assumption is grossly uninformed. If this is how you treat someone after two phone calls and a review, I can't imagine you treating either of my dogs.

My husband and I have been taking our pets to PAVH since we adopted our first cat in 2010. We have since added a second rescue cat to our family and both are seen by Dr. Kier. The facility is always clean and the staff always friendly. We have no problems getting appointments in a timely manner. I love that the building has a farm-like atmosphere with sheep and other animals roaming in a fenced-in area on the premises. Dr. Kier and the assistants are always kind and gentle with our cats, who by no means like going to the doctor, ever. When our cats have had surgery the doctor has always personally called to follow up to see how they are doing, which is a nice touch. I truly believe Dr. Kier cares about our pets and their well-being.

We have been taking all our babies, 2-Dachshunds & 2-Malteses to groomers at Princess Anne Veterinary Hospital every month since Oct’s 2017. We rescued one of our Maltese who is blind & she scared to be touched. We couldn’t find any groomers who will take our blind Maltese until my co-worker recommends this place. OMG! I can’t believe how good job they done to all my 4-babies especially our blind Maltese. Due to their prefessional performance in groomers & veterinary with a great atmosphere, we will continue to take all our babies to Princess Anne Veterinary Hospital. Just moved to Virginia Beach and was not happy to have to find a new vet as I loved my old one. This clinic is incredible. They made us feel at home and were over the top helpful. Vet bills can be expensive and they gave me very good straight forward options to save money. I will continue to use princess Anne veterinary as long as I am within driving distance.

We will definitely bring our pets here from now on! We had a very sick kitty and received the best care and service from the team at Princess Anne Veterinary. Dr. Johnson was fabulous and made sure we understood everything before we took our kitty home. The techs were all wonderful, and the staff at the front desk were extremely professional and helpful. Pawsway isn't out of the woods yet, but they all gave us the confidence we needed for home care and he's already acting like a different cat since his visit. We will definitely be telling all of our pet owner friends about them! Thank you Dr. Johnson, and all of the staff that helped our kitty!

This past week I spent a lot of time at Princess Anne Vet following our dogs accident being hit by a car. Our first day on there I was am exhausted mess, having not slept in 3 nights since our Maya's accident. She had emergency surgery on Sunday morning and we were concerned about swelling. Dr. Johnson was amazing. After over an hour there I felt so relieved and Maya was definitely on the way to recovery. So grateful for their care and support.

The best vet hospital that i've been to so far, my dog has an ongoing ailment and we've been to several vets and have not had any luck. We decided to try this place out since it has a lot of good reviews and they didn't disappoint. The staff was super friendly and accomodating, we didn't have to wait for our dog to be seen, and was out the door in less than 30 minutes. And to top it all off they cured our dog! I would recommend this vet hospital to anyone!

I did a bit or research when we moved here to see how vets were rated. I feel very fortunate that we chose Princess Anne Veterinary Hospital to see to my dog's health maintenance and treatment. I have always felt informed and an assured that Sasha is getting the best possible treatment that she could have. I love the environment and the the staff. They are courteous and willing to take time to answer questions. They have worked Sasha in at the last minute when emergency situations have arose, and the course of treatment has been correct each time. I would not consider taking her anywhere else, even though there are several vets much closer. If you are looking for the BEST possible Veterinary Hospital with the best staff, I HIGHLY recommend Princess Anne Veterinary Hospital. We now have a new puppy "Stogie" a boykin spaniel... and Dr. Kier treats him like it is his own puppy, when you walk in even un-announced they know your puppy's name. They are both wonderful Dr.'s... don't take my word for it, see for yourself!

I use to love going here, it was close to the house and I do love the staff, the 1st time I went there with a stray they helped me allot, so I figured I would start bringing my dogs there. Well one of my small dogs had what I thought was a bite on her face took her there and the vet told me she had gotten into a fight and gave me antibiotic, I came home and put hot compresses on her and then I found out there were two worms in her face, not from a bite but from a fly. 1st bad thing. 2nd I brought my little girl in today for her rabies shot and a nail clip, well I went to pay and was given a bill for 129.00 I was totally shocked. I took another one of my dogs into the ER on Lynnhaven after hours and had 4 teeth removed for that price. This place has gotten way to expensive and I will not be doing back. I am so disappointed but cannot afford 129 bill for rabies and a nail clip :(

Not only were they going to charge me a full exam fee of $65, plus the fee for expressed glands (which was a walk in, $15 service at all my previous vets) but both times I called, they were rude and expressed no concern for time sensitivity. I'm not in the habit of making a dog whose uncomfortable, in need of being seen- to wait over a week. I'm not confident, had an issue arose in the future, that this establishment would have met my needs in the event of an emergency.**Update. Please also review their response. Zero comment to their lack of time sensitivity for an appointment, or rude receptionist, but now I'm also "irresponsible" They could have asked for all of my current and past vet statements, as well up to date vaccines records. Your assumption is grossly uninformed. If this is how you treat someone after two phone calls and a review, I can't imagine you treating either of my dogs.

My husband and I have been taking our pets to PAVH since we adopted our first cat in 2010. We have since added a second rescue cat to our family and both are seen by Dr. Kier. The facility is always clean and the staff always friendly. We have no problems getting appointments in a timely manner. I love that the building has a farm-like atmosphere with sheep and other animals roaming in a fenced-in area on the premises. Dr. Kier and the assistants are always kind and gentle with our cats, who by no means like going to the doctor, ever. When our cats have had surgery the doctor has always personally called to follow up to see how they are doing, which is a nice touch. I truly believe Dr. Kier cares about our pets and their well-being.

We rescued one of our Maltese who is blind & she scared to be touched. We couldn’t find any groomers who will take our blind Maltese until my co-worker recommends this place. OMG! I can’t believe how good job they done to all my 4-babies especially our blind Maltese. Just moved to Virginia Beach and was not happy to have to find a new vet as I loved my old one. This clinic is incredible. They made us feel at home and were over the top helpful. Vet bills can be expensive and they gave me very good straight forward options to save money. I will continue to use princess Anne veterinary as long as I am within driving distance.

We will definitely bring our pets here from now on! We had a very sick kitty and received the best care and service from the team at Princess Anne Veterinary. Dr. Johnson was fabulous and made sure we understood everything before we took our kitty home. The techs were all wonderful, and the staff at the front desk were extremely professional and helpful. Pawsway isn't out of the woods yet, but they all gave us the confidence we needed for home care and he's already acting like a different cat since his visit. We will definitely be telling all of our pet owner friends about them! Thank you Dr. Johnson, and all of the staff that helped our kitty!

This past week I spent a lot of time at Princess Anne Vet following our dogs accident being hit by a car. Our first day on there I was am exhausted mess, having not slept in 3 nights since our Maya's accident. She had emergency surgery on Sunday morning and we were concerned about swelling. Dr. Johnson was amazing. After over an hour there I felt so relieved and Maya was definitely on the way to recovery. So grateful for their care and support.

The best vet hospital that i've been to so far, my dog has an ongoing ailment and we've been to several vets and have not had any luck. We decided to try this place out since it has a lot of good reviews and they didn't disappoint. The staff was super friendly and accomodating, we didn't have to wait for our dog to be seen, and was out the door in less than 30 minutes. And to top it all off they cured our dog! I would recommend this vet hospital to anyone!

One of the vets is excellent - a real animal lover AND people person. The other is...well...I really like this place but they are really expensive. Prescriptions are about triple what you pay at a pharmacy and the veterinary fees are double anywhere else. But Dr. Kier is an excellent veterinarian.

I did a bit or research when we moved here to see how vets were rated. I feel very fortunate that we chose Princess Anne Veterinary Hospital to see to my dog's health maintenance and treatment. I have always felt informed and an assured that Sasha is getting the best possible treatment that she could have. I love the environment and the the staff. They are courteous and willing to take time to answer questions. They have worked Sasha in at the last minute when emergency situations have arose, and the course of treatment has been correct each time. I would not consider taking her anywhere else, even though there are several vets much closer. If you are looking for the BEST possible Veterinary Hospital with the best staff, I HIGHLY recommend Princess Anne Veterinary Hospital. PAVH... wow Dr. Kier and Dr. Hauer are the two most caring Veterinary Doctors I have ever met. Last summer we had to put our 6 year old field spaniel to sleep. They have compassion... the entire staff...

We now have a new puppy "Stogie" a boykin spaniel... and Dr. Kier treats him like it is his own puppy, when you walk in even un-announced they know your puppy's name. They are both wonderful Dr.'s... don't take my word for it, see for yourself!

I use to love going here, it was close to the house and I do love the staff, the 1st time I went there with a stray they helped me allot, so I figured I would start bringing my dogs there. Well one of my small dogs had what I thought was a bite on her face took her there and the vet told me she had gotten into a fight and gave me antibiotic, I came home and put hot compresses on her and then I found out there were two worms in her face, not from a bite but from a fly. 1st bad thing. 2nd I brought my little girl in today for her rabies shot and a nail clip, well I went to pay and was given a bill for 129.00 I was totally shocked. I took another one of my dogs into the ER on Lynnhaven after hours and had 4 teeth removed for that price. This place has gotten way to expensive and I will not be doing back. I am so disappointed but cannot afford 129 bill for rabies and a nail clip :(
