I had to visit the Vet due to an unfortunate event of my dog getting bitten. I work a hectic schedule and 3 days after my dog was bitten the only day I could have her checked out was the following Saturday. After googling Saturday hours for any Vet, I got lucky and found Timberlake right next to my house and early hours. I didn't have the chance to call, I just walked in. So keep in mind, they are appointments only (maybe mostly) on Saturday. But in my time of need Dr Bundy took the time to see my dog. Turns out she has a broken bone. Dr Bundy was thorough and explained everything I needed to know. Even gave me an expectation of healing for the next few months and on top of that....she is soft spoken and not once made ME feel like she was doing me a favor by seeing Bunz, she made us feel like we belonged even though we just popped in. Dr. Bundy is wonderful. Attentive, respectful, thoughtful and kind. Great staff too. Looks like the actual location had a different owner before that may not have been great, but The staff and doctor are the best in the area at this point. No question about it. I sent my friend and his wife here who is an Army vet without hesitation. They came all the way from Chesapeake. She treated them well too which was no surprise. I took my anxious and fearful pup there for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I was pretty nervous because he is reactive towards other dogs and has been fearful of strangers in the past as well. However, Dr. Bundy and her staff were extremely professional and calm and it really put my dog at ease! He usually takes awhile to warm up to strangers but he was giving them kisses and letting them pet him pretty much instantly, which was seriously impressive to me! I really loved being able to meet all the wonderful people who worked there and having that personal connection. I've never been to a vet clinic that open and caring before! My miniature poodle had a little bump and I was able to make him an appointment for the next day and Dr. Bundy took such great care of him. She looked for everything that could be wrong and found a few things that legitimately needed to be taken care of. Timberlake has been the medical home for all of our cats for the last 20 years. The doctors and staff are the best! They always take their time and make sure their needs are met. Timberlake has taken care of both of our dogs since Dr. Bundy came to the practice. She bought the practice from the previous owner this summer, so you can disregard the negative review earlier about the previous owner. We followed Dr. Bundy from another practice and drive longer than we normally would (we are in Portsmouth), because she has been so good. Our dogs are older and have had a lot of health issues, which Dr. B and her staff have taken the time to explain the options for treating and they have pulled in specialists when needed. Dr. Bundy performed surgery on both our dogs and recently removed a large tumor from our dog Daisy and she bounced back great from the surgery and we could not have been happier with the care she got. You will be hard-pressed to find a staff who are more caring and consistently go above and beyond than at Timberlake. Read Less

They are amazing there. One on one, none rushed attention to detail. Dr Bundy is amazing and we travel from near Portsmouth all the way to this office in order to get our dogs the best care possible. Everyone is kind and helpful from the time you walk in to the time you leave. Every time you call they are beyond helpful as well. Never an issue getting in when one is sick either. I have been taking my dogs to Drs Hayles and Bundy for over 26 years now. I wouldn't even think of taking them to another Vet. The doctors are the most professional and caring people I have ever known. I have learned so much from them that has helped me and I love the staff. I just lost my beloved Lacey and Dr. Bundy worked so hard to do everything she could to save her as she knew how much I loved her. Dr. Hayles has done the same in the past for my other pups. You cannot put a price on a little furry friend's life and I go first class with my animal's lives. I am by no means rich but I do the best I can. The Owner and Veterinary is rude nasty and Timberlake is extremely over priced. I took my dog in on an emergency basis and the first day everyone there was great. They took her in without an appointment. The vet stayed passed her time to perform surgery on my dog. We followed all of the directions that we were given Post Op and then 5 days later my dogs stiches came out and the wound looked like it had never been touched. So we called Timberlake to have the dogs wounds repaired again and was told that they were to busy to she her and that they were not staffed with a Veterinary that that day that was able to do surgeries. WTF!!! We were advised to take our dog to an Emergency Vet. Which we did. They had to remove everything that was previously done and redo it. It cost me a 3rd of the price for the second surgery at an Emergency Vet. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE IF YOU LOVE THEM OR VALUE GOOD SERVICE FOR THE PRICE THAT YOU ARE PAYING!! If I could give them a Zero I would!!! Read Less

Having a sick animal is always a stressful feeling. I visited Timberlake Veterinary Hospital for a second opinion for my sick cat. Turned out, he was so sick that I didn't have many options for a good quality of life for my kitty. Not only did I appreciate their honest educated opinion, but the comfort of knowing they actually cared was easier to make the sad decision of putting my cat down.
