We are on the puppy wellness plan. This is great for us because otherwise I fear honestly we would not have kept up with all the shots and treatments on time. Puppy care is expensive, this made it really affordable. they even have a plan that covers fixing -if you want. My reaction to this particular pet care facility: We have had excellent service by all the front desk ...my goodness what a fabulous, welcoming and caring front end environment! It's the tops! ... and the two Vets that have thus far treated our baby have been fabulous. We love this place. For instance, whenever we walk in, everyone knows the name of our dog! They greet her -and are very friendly to us as well. As far as Vets go, we've moved a lot and so trust me, these are not only great and knowledgeable vets, but take the time to address your concerns. On our first appointment I addressed concerns over one of the shots, and the vet (Dr. Christina Bailey) kindly went back and researched the question for herself and then came back and we talked some more. I've never met a vet who was humble enough to take the time to go and make sure their information was up to date before moving forward. Usually what we get are quick impatient answers from vets. I wish more vets were like her! I'm glad we have her and feel that she really is operating from a mentality of care for the animals she sees. She's also very patient and sweet to our baby! The other vet we've dealt with is just as kind (Dr. Tracy Salaj). She's real and down to earth. She will tell you both sides of the fence in rationals across the boards. For example we discussed what was the best age to fix a female. She gave us all sides of the arguments and let us make the choice. GREAT! None of the staff or the vets that we have dealt with have been condescending or made us feel inferior once for any concerns we have come up with. This place is the best experience ever! Never pushy, patient, and super welcoming! A big shout out to all the staff: Keep up the great work. You ROCK! I will try and take a picture with our baby and some of the staff and post it here so you can see just how sweet they are when we go to our next appointment -which isn't for about a month... so stay tuned for the update. After an entire year of on time payments and after paying $230 for special services here, the hospital "forgot" to give me all the necessary medicine they had prescribed to my cat for a urinary issue they treated. I called and informed them of thier mistake and they told me I could come pick up the meds and pay later. Less than a month later, on today 10/18/17, I get a call from a collections agency saying they are attempting to collect a debt of $36.99. The process manager here, Tracey, had the nerve to say they made an "exception" for me to pay at a later date and since I did not, that's why it was in collections. They made this "exception" because they were too incompetent to give me all the necessary medicine they had prescribed, thus forcing me to come back and ask for the correct amount. I have NEVER missed a SINGLE payment on ANY bill ever sent to me. I have NEVER avoided or attempted to avoid paying a bill for services rendered. For these people to treat an on time, paying customer like this is beyond me. I will NEVER recommend banfield pet hospital to anyone needing services for thier animal(s). It is apparent they don't care about the animals themselves (or they would have been careful enough to give my cat the medicine she needed in the first place), but only about money. Absolutely ridiculous. Read Less

They are the biggest ripoff I've ever seen. They make you think their plans are great and will save you money, but by the time you finish paying for your plan each year, you'll have spent much more than if you had used a regular vet that doesn't overprice their services. They charge much more for an x-ray than many other vet offices do, then when they discount it, you're still paying more than if you had gone somewhere else. I find their level of expertise very low in comparison to other vets I've used. They will also take advantage of certain situations to get you to upgrade your plan without explaining to you the full details of the plan. For example, my service dog started having dinner issues with heavy breathing, lethargy, not wanting to eat as well as some neurological issues. He needed to have an x-ray but since they had previously done an x-ray on his plan for the year, they were going to charge me an exorbitant prices even with their plan "discount". A WONDERFUL PLACE Both of our companion animals, our 8-year-old rescued cat Tess and our 6-year-old rescued long-haired Dachshund mix Rafe, are cared for by Banfield. We have had many companion animals, and they have never been cared for more professionally and kindly than at Banfield. The preventive care on the year-long plan is exceptional. I was just there this morning, and every person from the receptionist to the vet was kind, courteous, thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. In fact, there had somehow been a mix-up in our time--my husband's fault, not theirs---and the vet made time to see Rafe anyway. I can't say enough good things about Banfield, especially after having spent thousands of dollars at other vets in town for services that are now included in our $500/year plan. We had to bring in our kitty for an eye problem. I choose Banfield for the wide range of hours, but getting a same day appointment was impossible. My husband took our cat in and was turned away because he didn't have vaccination paperwork. As a new client, I was hoping that the clinic would have let us know, before we arrived. 40 minutes later he returned to a vet that was too scared to even look at our kitty. (He growls and hisses.) They wouldn't even take him out of the carrier to weigh him properly. The vet then prescribed a $40 medicine at a point when our cat's condition started to clear up. After all the hassle, and lack of service, I would NOT recommend taking your pet here. Read Less
