Dr.Greenwood is an awesome doctor! Her staff is well trained, and know how to handle animals with care. I explained there was a breathing issue with my puppy and she knew exactly what I was talking about without me having to go into a lot of detail. I was eager to have my sickly fur- at and due to the srar ratings, I went with this hospital.  I am so glad that I did! So far so good. Our first check up for our pup and the staff was SUPER friendly. Kelsi took care of us and our dog absolutely loved her, she was very gentle and patient with our 5 month old pit. Dr. Chang, who was super knowledgeable during the visit, helped us during the exam. He even drew us pictures of what to look for in his stool (lol). The diagnosis was fast, our pup had an allergic reaction and we were able to go home with the meds which was a plus. We will be going back for a 3 week follow up and I can't wait. I recently adopted a young ragdoll kitten. I was worried about him as to he was sneezing and it was really hard to decide which vet to go. I have been to vets where they rob up u basically and don't care about your pet. I would have to say this is by far the best place to go for your pet. They treated my baby with such love and care. This people don't know what they're doing, i started a vaccination and follow up for my new puppy with them and i think they don't have a record or card of their clients, how can a medical professional see he's client without going through their history n stuff, they even gave my puupy a rabbis vaccine twice which one dose should've been good for a year, thank God my puppy is still alive n okay but what if it was something deadly when it's overdoesed??? I've been taking my cat here for a couple of years now for his grooming and the cat groomer (I think her name is AJ?) is wonderful. My cat is really sweet and never bites or scratches but he can be quite squirmy but AJ handles him well with care. I really appreciate a time when my kitty had a painful fur knot around his neck and I called to see if they could take care of it and although they were all booked up they made an exception and let me bring him in. If I could give LESS THAN ONE STAR, I would! Some years ago my son and I brought his guinea pig in for and emergency evaluation. We had never used this vet before and it was the only one available for an exotic animal in an emergency. The male doctor there said Nappy couldn't be helped and recommended euthanasia. We talked and decided if that's what the vet thought then we guess it was for the best. I agreed to it and the vet took Nappy back to get him ready, or so we thought. We stood there waiting and then he came back and said it's done, you can fill out a form and pick up his remains in a week. We were totally devastated that we couldn't be with him when he went "to sleep". I will never EVER bring another animal to this place as long as I live. That was the most heartless, cruel, inconsiderate thing anyone could do to a child with a terminally ill pet. Not to mention, ever since this happened I have been questioning whether I did the right thing by bringing him here. Since he rushed to kill my guinea pig, did it really even need to happen? If I had taken him somewhere else with a more compassionate vet, could he have been saved? This place and that doctor should be ashamed of themselves.Read Less

Dr. Choi was so helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive! When Sophia and I brought in our dog, Berkeley, his allergies were out of control. Dr. Choi never rushed through our appointments, always took the time to carefully listen to us and examine Berkeley. And with the help of some allergy medication, his allergy symptoms greatly reduced. What's also nice about this vet practice is that they don't force unnecessary "add ons." When we took Berkeley to Banfield awhile back, they wanted to give him the works, even little adds on that seemed like a business upsale. At this clinic, Dr. Choi said most dogs his age should get a good teeth cleaning, but when she looked at his teeth, she said it wasn't necessary because they were just already good. Besides the big issues of helping our dog, it's also the little things that show this vet clinic isn't out just to upsell; but truly just cares about the well-being of the pet.Read Less

Over the years we have welcomed Dr. Greenwood, and then Dr.Choi all three of them are always so helpful and willing to work with us in all our medical needs and concerns for our Dogs and Cats. They make sure that we understand all of our options available. They are also good at listening to our opinions and interest in options for natural and or herbal treatments we've found through research.If you have questions about anything to do with your pets or their care the office managers and other office staff are more than happy to assist you and work with the doctors in getting any information you want and or need. The office staff is respectful and professional as well as friendly. My pets enjoy their trips to this office and sometimes we take our pets in just to get a weight or for them to say hello to the staff to help with those annual or urgent appointments go easier since our pets are familiar with the office and staff. I have taken my Corgi mix to Minnieville Animal Hospital for the last 2+ years and do not regret it. Their location is excellent, which makes drop offs and pick ups during the commute a breeze. Their staff is very friendly and easy to get along. Do ask questions to the administrative staff, if you have them. In my latest visit, I picked up my dog from surgery the day prior. The staffer who handled the front desk provided me some basic information, and I forgot to address some additional questions. The next day, I called regarding a question about my dog's after surgery care. That staffer was on point and I did not even have to ask the questions because she saw my dog's file (I assume) and fired off answers to the questions I did not have to present. I got to meet with both Drs. Greenwood and Hong, and both are very passionate about the animals in their care. I dealt mostly with Dr. Hong this last visit and he reached out to me both before and after the surgery to get updates about my dog and talk about results. I can not believe how poorly this place handled our decision to put down our family dog. She had been in to see them already so they were aware that she was falling down the stairs and having other pain issues. She was also right near the end of her natural life expectancy.In the past few weeks since they had seen our dog she started showing more and more signs of pain and was becoming incontinent with multiple accidents around the house. She was also acting very strange and run down while becoming nippy with young children at home. After talking among ourselves and extended family, everyone agreed that we had reached a point where it would be more humane to have our dog put down instead of continuing to watch her decline on a literal daily basis. We called and made the appointment with no questions asked whatsoever. We spoiled the dog for her last few days, fed her plenty of her favorite people food, and let the kids all say their goodbyes.When we brought her in, they made an already painful event even worse. My wife went into the exam room where they took an hour doing an exam that we were neither told about or even wanted and charged us over $50 for it. I could understand if they had never seen the dog before, but they already knew what was going on. While I was waiting outside with my daughter, they actually tried to talk my wife out of putting the dog down by trying to sell her on monthly pain pills that would have damaged the dog's liver. They said people don't usually put their dogs down until they can't walk at all! My wife and everyone else was at peace with the difficult decision that was made, but the vet at this place decided it was best to question our judgement and make my wife feel even worse about the decision.How dare you. Our family had talked about it, the children had said their goodbyes, and you raised no objections when we had scheduled the appointment on the phone and said nothing about doing another exam prior. Instead you waited until my wife was crying to get her to back out so you could keep the dog limping along on pain pills for more money. I had my cat that I had since childhood put down last year under very similar circumstances at another vet, and no one tried to talk us out of it AT THE APPOINTMENT for the euthanasia. They had examined my cat prior and offered some options, but when I made the decision it was respected and they put my cat down without second guessing my decision or dragging it out over an hour.Do not bring your animal here. They did not respect our decision to euthanize our dog, overcharged us, and made a difficult moment even more painful by preying on someone who was emotionally vulnerable in an attempt to sell a pain pill prescription. I am a first time pet owner.  From the second we walked into the office, everyone was able to put me at ease and were so excited to see our dog, who they didn't know from a hole in the wall. Everyone was so friendly and caring, it made me feel comfortable to have my dog treated there.  Several days later, the office called to check on my dog and make sure he was tolerating the medicine. My wife and I used dr. Hong and his practice for an incredible 19 years. We had so many cats and dogs over those years. And it absolutely shocked me when they tried, and succeeded to lie and rob us of our money. What happened is we had put a our female cat in for a routine spade procedure. And they called us in the middle of the procedure (they claimed) and said that our cat was pregnant and it will cost extra to continue. I demanded the manager get on the phone and told her that was completely impossible because our cat has never been outside and has never been exposed to any male cats. Oh, well it didn't end there she started speaking in animal biology jargon and said it will still cost the extra money. They knew they had us over a barrel because they had control of our pet so I said fine, take your damn money. I picked our cat up and like I said after 19 years this is the thank you we got. Dr Hong is very knowledgable, my dog had his leg broken, Dr. Hong was able to set it and cast it without doing surgery. He saved me $1000 of dollar by doing it this way. I have nothing but great things to say about this facility.  We used to take all of our pets to another place in town, but we felt that they were too expensive and only cared about money.  Minnieville Animal Hospital is very reasonable in pricing and Dr. Waite (Dr. Greenwood!) is a fantastic vet.  She took care of our dog and helped to nurse her through some rough medical issues, and when the time came to say goodbye to our dear friend, it obviously touched her and she shared in our grief.  We continue to take our pets here, and are warmly welcomed every time we are there.  I cannot say enough about this place--far above the others in the area. We have been taking our almost two year old English Bulldog to Minnieville Animal Hospital since he was 3 mths. old. The staff is friendly and the Vets are knowledgeable. The downside is like most vet hospitals the office visits are a little expensive, which is suppose to cover a check up of your animal. I have been coming here for almost 15 years. Dr.Hong who has been in practice since 1984 is very friendly and knowledgeable for my two cats. I recently met Dr.Waite who has now been with the animal hospital as a Doctor for the past 3 years and was not disappointed.  The waiting room and 2 exam rooms are always very clean and diagnosis for my animals are always dead-on. I would like to suggest to those who come into a vet expecting a negative experience only see what they want, if the staff seems busy it never hurts to take action yourself and ask them about your questions or concerns, they are more than happy to ease any discomforts you may have. I was told that my cat would be taken in the back to be weighed and receive blood-work and of course I know he was well taken care of while out of my sight. also the rates are very reasonable compared to many vets in the area and I enjoy the small-homey atmosphere the obviously former residential building provides.I am also happy to learn recently that they now offer online services called "Pet Portal" where you can review your pets records online via their website.
