The staff here far above exceeds my expectations. During the phone call to set up all my pets for their clinical visit the lady on the phone was kind, funny, and all around professional! My first visit here yesterday was for 2/3 of my huskies and all three of my cats. Not once did the staff or the vet imply that I had too many animals,as another vet clinic rudely stated. They were kind enough to help me handle the animals while I was there.My huskies decided to show themselves, and the staff was quick to help me out so I could finish paperwork. My youngest husky has always been afraid of our old vet. She would shake as soon as she saw the building and staff. I was amazed at how still and calm she was. That showed me so much in their quality of care for my pets! I had Dr.Leonard who was so wonderful! She walked me through many things I was concerned about, such as vaccinosis ,complemented me on taking good care of my pets thus far, and talked to me about so many important things my other vet didn't care about. I cannot express how happy I am to have a vet that's from Alaska and knowledgeable about my breed of dog! For me that's a HUGE perk! Not once did she or the front staff try to pressure me into getting things I didn't want to, or didn't feel comfortable with getting. My old vet tried to get me to give my pets distemper and parvo shots several times a year! Pricing was very reasonable. I could say so much based on my first impressions, but to make it simple this place deserves 100 star rating. By far the best veterinary clinic I have ever been too. My husband and I moved to Virginia a few months ago. Our dog has EXTREME anxiety issues, so we spent a lot of time researching different vets. After reading great reviews about Seaford Vet, we decided to visit. They gave us a tour of the clinic & recommended that we bring our dog during their lunch break for "happy visits" -- visits where they don't do any procedures but just allow the dog to get familiar with the environment while receiving lots of treats :) . After several happy visits, we finally had our first appt today. We saw Dr. Lindsey Betts and she was phenomenal. Our previous vet had faxed over their records & Dr. Betts had read through all the records before our appt. She had a calm presence that immediately put us at ease, and she was so kind & patient with our dog. She was very knowledgeable, attentive to how our dog responded to her, and adjusted her approach as she went along. I just can't say enough positive things about Seaford Vet, especially Dr. Betts! The ladies in reception seemed very competent, caring, and genuinely interested in providing the best experience possible, and of course Dr. Renn was extremely thorough, personable, considerate, knowledgeable, and professional as she always is, even going out of her way not only to call us several times with updated information but also to make calls on our behalf to facilitate certain processes. My giant puppy seems to love the staff here so getting him out of the car and in to the building is a piece of cake. He's 130 Lbs so if he decides he doesn't want to do something then it ain't happening. Being that he has never given me any trouble when it's time for a visit to this vet, I see it as a win. I have taken Penni, my miniature dachshund, to Seaford Vet since obtaining her 12 years ago. She has received the greatest treatment there and everyone seems to love her when I take her in. She has been treated for pancreatitis twice, which is a severe illness. She came through with flying colors thanks to the attention and treatment received at Seaford Veterinary. My 11 month old Siberian Husky was spayed yesterday; like any Husky she is a spastic mess, especially when left alone. Dr. Betts took her breed in mind when doing the surgery so she doesn't have to come back in to have sutures removed. However, our previous vet was bought by a corporation, and the bills became too high. When we got Finn, our new boxer puppy, we started seeing Dr. Leonard at Seaford Vet. Laser Therapy - Our 13 year old lab, Abby, has been receiving laser therapy on her hips and knees for the past 2-3 months. While she is still an "older girl" it really does seem to help as she moves better, stumbles less and seems to feel better. Seaford vet is the best vet around. My dog hates going to the vet and the friendly staff makes sure not to stress him out more than he already is. The veterinarians are the best in the area. We've seen a few of them on an emergency basis and they take tgeir time and explain everything and make sure your comfortable with the care your dog is getting. Can't share enough positive accolades. Dr. Renn has treated our Dogue De Bordeaux for six years, since we brought her home at 8 weeks. And we've encountered nearly EVERYthing from mange, underwear stuck in the gut, epilepsy, 2 major knee surgeries with referrals up to Dogwood as well as routine wellness care. The techs are loving and gentle, all the doctors educate you and are ready to jump in and help, and smiles at the front desk, always. The refreshing compassion and true love for animals is clear in all their staff. It's not a job, it's their joy. Everything about this office is simply wonderful. Making appointments is quick and easy and they have always gotten my two cats in super quick, even within an hour and a half recently! Dr. Alexander has seen our cats for most of our visits for 3 years. She is awesome! Quick and accurate and also very patient and kind. Great at explaining and offering options. She has NEVER been pushy about getting extra services done. Great teeth cleaning on my feisty cat too. She is awesome with that feisty cat.
