Advanced Care Animal Clinic

I have been going to this clinic for many years now and have had to say goodbye to two of my beloved furbabies. The compassion and care they show is amazing. I just lost my tiny precious Molly a week ago. It has been so very hard. Dr. Blair was beyond compassionate and took so much time with us during the whole process. The entire care team here is amazing. I received flowers and a card with Molly’s footprints. Both meant so much to our family. Thank you for being more than a vet clinic!!! Our dog really needed a dental procedure & the staff was excellent with him as well as reassuring us. They were very conscientious about preparing for the procedure as well as keeping us informed while our dog was under anesthesia. We appreciate their care so much! Read Less

I have always had amazing experiences here, despite the circumstances of needing to visit a vet's office. The staff are all very helpful and legitimately care about your pets as if they're their own. I always bring my two kitties in for everything even though I've moved down to Everett. My oldest just had to go in for some dental work and she was super pampered during her visit. Spent $250 for bloodwork to see if my dog could undergo a minor surgery and never heard back. The vet told me after she looked the results over, she would call me and go from there. A note on the account said one call to my cell phone was made but a voicemail could not be left. We had also used e-mail to communicate about some other previous records. After waiting for over a month, I called the vet, she said, "I tried calling you once, but I couldn't leave a voicemail, so I figured you would eventually call me if you hadn't heard anything." Visited Advanced Care Animal clinic today with my very sick cockapoo. Everyone in the office was very kind. Dr. Blair checked Sadie over. Cooper has gone here since he got his first shots! The techs and doctors are amazing. I don't trust anyone else with my furbaby. They are a bit pricey- but definitely worth it. Anytime Ive had a 911 with Cooper they've been able to get him in ASAP during business hours and always call to check up on him after! Read Less

This clinic was great when I brought my dog in for emergency surgery. Due to that experience I brought my lab in when she started to show signs of arthritis. I received excellent customer service this time as well. However my 9yr lab died very suddenly due to the medication they prescribed for arthritis. We gave it to her maybe 10 times in 4 months and she went into liver failure. I urge any pet owners not to give their dog rimadyl and am upset beyond words that Dr. Kennedy did not inform us of the side effects or what to watch for. Rimadyl is especially harmful to labs and should've never been prescribed to her. Due to this negligence we have lost our baby and our best friend. Do not make the same mistake we made in trusting your vet to do right by your animals; always research any medication yourself before giving it to your animal. Read Less

I liked this place at first, came here a few times for checkups and immunizations for boarding. However, this is NOT the place to go if you are a new pet owner and therefore not perfect in how things go. My dog had just been boarded and displayed a cough afterwards, so assuming it was kennel cough, I asked a friend of mine who is an animal professional if I needed to bring him in to the vet, and she said that it's not necessary right away, it will often run it's course, lots of water and fresh air; if it gets worse or is still there after 2 weeks bring him in. OK - check. There was an already scheduled blood draw for him today, and it didn't even occur to me any issues with him having the cough (which has already begun to get better than it was), but all hell broke loose. The receptionist made passive-aggressive comments to me, shaking her head and scoffing, while the vet tech was in the middle of talking to me about it. I felt horrible about making the mistake, but I was made to feel shamed and horribly embarrassed, plus talked down to like I was 5 years old and therefore needed a "dumbed down" chat. I also didn't recall being talked to about bringing my dog on a leash at my last appointment but the vet was super adamant that she spoke to me about it and documented it. I have zero qualms with admitting when I make mistakes, but I also refuse to be treated so poorly and as though I am a horrible pet owner. Bed-side manner is not just for your patients, especially with a vet, the owners need to be included with that. They won't give a crap if we return, and this review will likely become a joke to them because there was ZERO apology for how I was treated. In fact when I said we wouldn't be coming back she merely replied with "yeah I figured" and could have cared less. I know I was feeling defensive because of how embarrassed I felt, but that embarrassment was compounded ten-fold by the personal treatment of the staff. Point being - if you are well versed in all aspects of pet ownership and you are immune to making mistakes, this place is fine. Otherwise, find a place that welcomes new pet owners with patience and just as much respect as seasoned ones. Especially for being on the higher end price-wise.PS: forgot to mention the staff member also told another customer with a dog that I exposed his dog to the kennel cough virus, right in front of me. I absolutely love the service and care we get from Advanced Care Animal Clinic. The team there makes you feel like personal friend. Besides my dogs, I recently took in my very old outdoor cat that has not seen a vet, let alone travelled in a vehicle in about 10 years. She is a long hair that had mats so thick against her skin I couldn't cut them off (even if she would have allowed me near her with clippers). The staff was so calm with her and after some sedation was able to shave off the mats. She got her update on shots and a clean bill of health. She's like a whole new cat with renewed energy! He is feline leukemia negative, now he has all of his shots, they are putting together a plan to fix his ears plus the medicine for his ears. Thank you so much for your help and kindness! This stray cat is thankful to you and so am I! I highly recommend taking your pet to this office. I take my own cats to this clinic and I am always happy and treated well here. Dr. Blair was very loving and comforting to my 6 yr old cavalier king charles, Milo. Never have I seen him so relaxed with a vet. She was extremely knowledgeable about his bread. I wish she was my local vet in TN, as cavaliers tend to have special needs. She understood and explained some of the issues to me better then anyone ever has. We had a somewhat emergency and had to seek care immediately on a Saturday morning. We were walk-ins and they seen us right away. Was a very reasonable rate. The clinic even followed up a day or so later with a call to see how my baby was doing. That meant a lot. Would highly recommend them!Read Less

I brought in my daughters cat and was an hour early. I was taken into a room immediately and a woman came in to start the process within one minute. I was treated with respect and courtesy the whole time, and cannot thank them enough for the care our cat was given. In fact, I wish I would have known of this place sooner, when my cat was ill back in April. I ended up having to put her to sleep because I wasn't getting any answers from 3 different local vets. I will never take any of my animals anywhere else and urge people reading this, if they truly love their animals, please, don't "shop around". So impressed by Advanced Care Animal Clinic and their staff. We recently had to put my 16 year old Aussie, Bingo, down and not only did they give us as much time with him as we needed on his last day, a few days later they sent us a rock with Bingo's name engraved in it. Along with that, the vet sent a card with a hand written note saying sorry for our loss and a ink print of Bingo's paw print without us asking. They truly care! Thank you guys so much.Read Less

The atmosphere in doctors and staff at this place are excellent. And most recently brought my dog in prepared for the worst thinking that we're probably putting him down. He had a heart attack or stroke or Dr Sturges and staff checked him out they found a bulged disc prescribe some treatment and he is going to be a okay I am one happy dog owner Read Less

They got my little girl up to date on all her shots, and clipped her nails. Which is a nightmare to do. They are great! She was a drama queen at first but the staff really stayed calm and let her know nothing bad was happening. I highly recommend them! Read Less

We recently had to make the hard choice of putting our 16 year old cat Pilsner to sleep. Advanced Care not only made us feel it was the right choice, since that day we have received a sympathy card, a paw print on a keepsake card of the old guy from his final day, then today we checked the mail and there was an engraved stone and yet another sympathy card.
