I am so grateful for the staff at Winslow Animal Clinic. About a month ago I moved from BI to Israel with my cat. He needed to get a rabies vaccine/titer and I had to fill out a ton of paperwork/deal with crazy logistics in order to make the move go smoothly. Winslow Animal Clinic took wonderful care of my Little Lucy when she was spayed yesterday and whenever she needs her shots and check ups. After a routine immunization appointment with the vet we set an appointment to get my puppy neutered. The staff, who knew my puppy, scheduled the appointment for the next week. and I took the day off of work to care for my puppy post operative. The day of the procedure I was greeted and taken to a room with my puppy and given the 10th degree on how getting my puppy neutered at his age was a horrible thing to do and they did not want to proceed. WHAT????? The vet new my dog's age and scheduled the appointment... I went back to Poulsbo Marina Vet in Poulsbo to bills that are a fraction of the price and straight forward Vets that don'r schedule appointments that are not appropriate for my dog. Read Less

I have been taking my animals here since 2009, when I moved from Colorado to Bainbridge Island. I consider them to be practically family. They have shared in the joys of a new puppy, and have had their arms around me when having to say goodbye to trusted friends. Their staff is very friendly, yet professional. Just took in a new rescue pup for a general health check before finalizing her adoption.  Every single person, from the receptionist to the vet tech to the Doctor, was AMAZING!  They were friendly, supportive and thorough.  Dr Jane O'Halloran was fantastic. She sat on the floor to get to the dog's level, answered all of my questions, gave great advice and didn't charge me a penny since it was a first visit for a rescue dog.  I am so pleased to get to have this office as my regular vet! There are few members of my family more important than my puppy.  When she had an injury within days of moving to BI, I was in a panic.  I called around for referrals.  Winslow seemed to be the clinic of choice.  From the minute I called, they were great.  Upon arrival (they squeezed us in), they were helpful, encouraging, and gave us great information.  I really liked both the vet tech and the vet.  The vet tech is the most knowledgable one I've ever met (and I've met many).  Then when Dr Barfield sat down on the floor to be closer to my puppy and put her at ease, I knew we were in good hands.  The reception staff was super helpful with our insurance and other matters.  They helped make a tough situation less painful.  Thanks Winslow Animal Clinic!  I hope we don't need your services often, but I am thrilled to have you available when needed!! I was not particularly impressed with this clinic. I went for the convenient location and good yelp reviews, but I've seen better, and expected better, considering the higher price and the location. Maybe this is more of a dog clinic, but I brought my cat in today and the waiting room was packed with noisy dogs and their owners, with nowhere calm or quiet for kitty to hide. It doesn't make sense to me to schedule appointments for so many dogs at the same time as a cat--he was certainly upset by the experience! The front desk staff is fairly cold as well, and the doctor (Dr. Penn) didn't seem to have any useful advice or clear opinion on any area of veterinary medicine. I went away not really feeling like I was in the presence of an expert.Overall, the service provided was adequate for my needs (basic annual visit), but if I found another equally convenient clinic with warmer office staff, a more cat-friendly environment, and a more skilled vet, I would certainly go there instead! So it was time for my cat's checkup visit, and this was our first time visiting WAC this morning. I gotta say, everyone from the front desk to the exam room were absolutely wonderful to both me and my cat. They were friendly, informative, and kind, and treated both of us with respect. My (normally chill and adorable) cat was treated like a fuzzy rockstar, even when he went full-on trollbeast during the visit and scratched up Dr. Haggar. Even so, he still got treats, love, and care from her all the same. Apologies again, Dr! I initially had to come here for a very sad reason, to have my family's beloved 15 year-old cat, Sky, put to sleep when he suddenly got aggressive and terminal cancer. Then I had to do the same thing again a few months later when my family's 18 year-old cat, Kerry, got very sick, stopped eating, and was obviously suffering. Dr. Zebrowski was kind and professional, and I was in the room when he put both of my babies to sleep. As an oncology nurse, I'm grateful to him for giving both of my sick babies a peaceful death... My brother has since taken his healthy cat, Kona, to him, and he got a clean bill of health. I live in Seattle, but will be taking my cat, Simba, to Dr. Zebrowski as well when he needs his next check-up. The front-office staff is great too. When I tried to pay the bill after having Sky put to sleep, one of the ladies gave me a hug and told me to just go home and come back and pay the bill at a later time. Well, part of moving to a new place is setting up all the things that need setting up, like a vet for the farmly.  I set up an appointment and was able to get in the next week.   I arrived with 2 dogs and a cat.  The tech was cool, she asked lots of questions, in fact it was probably one of the most thorough vet exams that I have been through and it was a great thing.  I learned that even cooked onions and garlic isn't good for the dogs.  I had blood work, urine work on a dog and cat, and a fatty tumor biopsy done, and quite frankly, it was more affordable than the last vet office in NM.  Crazy.  I didn't expect that.  My vet was great.  He asked questions and listened to answers, My animals liked the people and I felt very confident with the services.  Recommend.  Stamped - Approve! The clinic is absolutely exceptional! We recently had a scare with our beloved family dog, Ceasar. The staff responded quickly and professionally, triaged him immediately and stopped things from getting much worse. Everyone at the clinic is extremely friendly, the quality of care is top notch, and their prices are very reasonable. I was very impressed that they took a step-by-step diagnosis of my dog instead of running a battery of costly tests at the outset. A similar experience at another vet (for a very minor issue) cost hundreds of dollars more than the rather complex medical problems we had. They actually charged me less than the low-range price I was quoted! I highly recommend that anyone with a pet should give the Winslow Animal Clinic a visit. Read Less
