Came in at about 7:20pm on a Saturday night (after hours) because our dog needed stitches from a dog bite on his leg. Small wound, but couldn't wait. Called ahead and they told us to come right in, sounded good. For starters, this is a very strange facility. You can literally hear every conversation going on in the entire place. There are holes in the ceiling tiles, revealing rusted nails and ducting. We listened to staff members talking about plans for their days off, a very loud man with a cat asking the staff 100 questions, other animals in the back making noise. The place did seem clean. Lets talk about the bedside manner. YIKES! The person who answered the phone seemed friendly and caring, I suspect she was the one who let us in the door and weighed our dog. The vet and other staff we dealt with after that though, talk about unfriendly!! We understand that the emergency medical profession can be incredibly stressful and difficult. But for goodness sake, this is our loved one who is injured and in need of care that we cannot give him, zero sympathy shown. The rude and condescending tone that we got from the on-staff vet was completely unnecessary! We were calm, patient, asked relevant questions, and paid for everything she recommended. She acted like we were wasting her time (the very minimal interaction we did have) and not once gave us the impression that she cared about our situation or our dog! The vet let us know that she thought he just needed stitches and it would take her about ten minutes. However... if a larger emergent case came in he would have to wait. We get it, absolutely take care of the worse cases! But it's ten minutes.... And we didn't get the impression that there were worse cases there at the time. Not only that, but I found it strange that she didn't even want to check to make sure his bones and soft tissue around the wound were okay and didn't need further repair. I had to ask her to check that. Nonetheless we decided to accommodate and leave him there (at 9pm) for a few hours, expecting to be able to come back in about 3 hours. We didn't get to pick him up until 3am.... AND we had to ASK for copies of the blood work... the person on the phone asked if we could even read it.... WTF?! We paid $170 for that alone and you don't automatically GIVE us the results!? How do we even know you did it?! All in all... our dog is stitched up. He seems okay. Thanks for that. BUT I will not be returning. I will make the long drive to SVS in Seattle or Totem Lake where I've had nothing but great experiences in the past. Where I don't feel like a nuisance, like I'm being cheated, and even if they hate us and our pets they don't act like it! Read Less
