Prices always seem fair and are explained out on our receipts well! I even added some treats this week thinking they'd probably be expensive and they were not. Being first time cat owners and first time pet owners as adults we have had a lot of questions and everyone has always been so helpful! Thanks for being great guys! I have been a loyal client here for a number of years (probably spending $1K or more per year), but today I am switching vets. After leaving work in Bellevue and picking up my dog in Issaquah and driving back to Bellevue, I was turned away for being 9 minutes late for our scheduled appointment. I have been understanding when I've waited while they triaged other animals in the past, but there was no grace on my side today. If they had told me I would need to wait a little longer, I would have understood and complied, or even been willing to see another vet when one became available. No options were offered, just "Sorry, you'll have to come back," which as a working person is not easy. I am going with a smaller vet where I can feel like there's a relationship that matters. Sadly, I don't feel that here. Read Less

The best!   I am VERY particular about who cares for my animals.  I have a vet that I love, and normally drive about an hour to see.  Recently one of my cats fell very ill at just the same time my regular vet started a long vacation.  I reluctantly took him to a random vet, and my experience was awful.  After 3 days in their care, I took him to Aerowood bc it was clear that he needed to be put down. When I arrived at Aerowood, the vet agreed that he was suffering greatly.  However, she also asked the right questions and he finally got the care he needed.  Fast forward 6 weeks and he is running around like it never happened!  I now consider Dr. Ellsberry his "other vet" and he, and his brother have now been in to see her.  Aerowood is different because it is a relaxed atmosphere.  I don't know how they have done it but they have managed to make me less anxious about going to the vet.  Also, on the cost factor.  Vets are expensive.  Owning animals is expensive if they are well taken care of.  If you have a vet that you use and like and you consider "cheap ", that's terrific.  I've spent a good sum of money at Aerowood recently and I consider it all well worth it and just part of life.  I don't feel it is fair to rate them lower just because it may "cost a lot".  They have to cover expenses (and likely aim to make a profit) just like any other business. Don't hesitate to take your pet here.  If you need a good vet, ask for Dr. Ellsberry. Read Less

Came in at about 7:20pm on a Saturday night (after hours) because our dog needed stitches from a dog bite on his leg. Small wound, but couldn't wait. Called ahead and they told us to come right in, sounded good. For starters, this is a very strange facility. You can literally hear every conversation going on in the entire place. There are holes in the ceiling tiles, revealing rusted nails and ducting. We listened to staff members talking about plans for their days off, a very loud man with a cat asking the staff 100 questions, other animals in the back making noise. The place did seem clean. Lets talk about the bedside manner. YIKES! The person who answered the phone seemed friendly and caring, I suspect she was the one who let us in the door and weighed our dog. The vet and other staff we dealt with after that though, talk about unfriendly!! We understand that the emergency medical profession can be incredibly stressful and difficult. But for goodness sake, this is our loved one who is injured and in need of care that we cannot give him, zero sympathy shown. The rude and condescending tone that we got from the on-staff vet was completely unnecessary! We were calm, patient, asked relevant questions, and paid for everything she recommended. She acted like we were wasting her time (the very minimal interaction we did have) and not once gave us the impression that she cared about our situation or our dog! The vet let us know that she thought he just needed stitches and it would take her about ten minutes. However... if a larger emergent case came in he would have to wait. We get it, absolutely take care of the worse cases! But it's ten minutes.... And we didn't get the impression that there were worse cases there at the time. Not only that, but I found it strange that she didn't even want to check to make sure his bones and soft tissue around the wound were okay and didn't need further repair. I had to ask her to check that. Nonetheless we decided to accommodate and leave him there (at 9pm) for a few hours, expecting to be able to come back in about 3 hours. We didn't get to pick him up until 3am.... AND we had to ASK for copies of the blood work... the person on the phone asked if we could even read it.... WTF?! We paid $170 for that alone and you don't automatically GIVE us the results!? How do we even know you did it?! All in all... our dog is stitched up. He seems okay. Thanks for that. BUT I will not be returning. I will make the long drive to SVS in Seattle or Totem Lake where I've had nothing but great experiences in the past. Where I don't feel like a nuisance, like I'm being cheated, and even if they hate us and our pets they don't act like it! Read Less

This review is specifically towards the people who is working emergency (after) hospital hour. My dog was attacked by my roommate's dog and he needed to get stitches. There was literally no pets waiting ahead of us so I assumed my dog will get check by doctor pretty quick since he was bleeding pretty bad. We waited for 30-40min...They took my dog and we were told that he may have to stay for the night. The doctor gave us the estimate of the total cost which was $1840..we were so suspicious about this total cost. More than human you know!?!! So we asked receptionist gal and she gave us a disgusting attitude. She kept saying the amount is correct and she was making a comment to other receptionist said "tonight is the night, you know?" WHAT!!! After we paid $1840, she threw the receipt and pen on the counter. She didn't even go through with me about his medication or how I can treat him at home with his drainer in his body. She basically said "I'll let you read his medication info.' Then she walked away. Eventually, hospital called me and they apologized that they over charged us $1000.I came back to the hospital to get his drainer and stitches out on their regular hour and everybody was so friendly and helpful. I just couldn't deal with the ladies who was working after hospital hour. Read Less

My dog's leash somehow (the clip part of it) got stuck in his paw (when he went to retrieve it). After spending almost an hour calming him down (in the rain) while trying to figure out if I could get it out myself, I called Aerowood and took him in after late night. Luckily they're open 24hours! After being "quickly" admitted, I was thinking this was going to cost me and arm and a leg. So, I voiced my concern about my very limited availability of funds.....Tauri (her name as I remembered), was oh so very helpful from start to end! She quickly gained my trust to the point where I didn't care too much about the cost.Long story short (if not too late, lol)...... After unwillingly (thinking they'd be just like the rest of the vets who seem to want to gouge me for every penny, especially since it's after hours) taking my 110lb black lab to this emergency vet hospital, Aerowood........Thinking it was going to cost me $100(at the least) up to $500 if they needed to do extra tests/anesthesia, etc., in less than 1/2 hour total time...... "THE CLIP WAS OUT OF HIS PAW, NO BLOOD and MY DOG WAS SMILING AGAIN...... ALL FOR $58!!! THIS WAS ICING ON THE CAKE! Let me start by saying, this establishment isn't deserving of even one star, but since that's the lowest I can give. It will have to do...This is a terrible establishment. The vets are inexperienced, are not on the same page when it comes to diagnosis. Ontop of that the vets assistant was rough and mean to my little dog and roughly manhandled him when it was not nessecary. They did a treatment and the refused to finish it because I had insufficient funds to cover the appointment, which resulted in my dog almost dieing from infection. They are a disgrace the profession of veterinary science, furthermore they are a complete ripoff. If you want your dog to be in inexperienced hands then go here. To add a cherry ontop they refused to send veterinary records to my new vet, making diagnosis a bigger deal than it needed to. All they care about is money, and nothing else. Shame on whoever runs and owns this establishment. I have filed a formal complaint with authorities aswell. They charged over 1000 to put a small drain in my dogs ear, which I was informed by my new vet who has 30 years of experience that it would have cost me 300 at his practice. Read Less

I won't go into a lot of details but, I had to let my Dinky go. I came in a few days later to get his urn. I was greeted from behind the counter by a beautiful sweet pit bull (sorry can't remember his name). I was so sad and devastated being there, but when I was greeted by this sweet gentle furbaby that demanded eye contact, I realized something. That was Dinky's way of letting me know he was fine. After my cat's vet moved away I spent a good 2 and a half years trying to find a vet that I like. I asked all of my friends with pets where they go and 4 different people all referred me to Aerowood. I figured I had to give it a try. I ended up having to make an appointment because one of my cat's ears were bothering him. The receptionist who anwered the phone and scheduled my appointment was very friendly, very patient with all my questions and I had no trouble making a next day appointment. When I arrived for my appointment I was very pleased to find that they have one enterance for cats and one for dogs. This was very pleasing! My cats are terrified of big dogs sniffing at their cage the way they have had other vets. The lady who checked me in was very nice and very quick to input me as a new client in the computer system. Once I was in the computer system, I literally only had about a five minute wait before I was seen. I saw Dr. Nogle, who is actually a co-owner of the hospital. He was very kind and very gently handled my very frightened cat. He ended up diagnosing my cat with ear mites. He took the time to explain everything to me including what we needed to do to treat him, possible effects of the antibiotics, etc. He and his assistant also took the time to show me exactly how to put the medication in his ears and even sent me home with the tube they did the first dose with for free. I 've already scheduled my other cat for his yearly check up. I am so pleased to have FINALLY found an animal hospital I can TRUST. Anf on top of that, they are 24 hours and literally a 3minute drive from my home. I feel so good knowing that if anything ever happened to my cats, not matter what time of the day, I can count on Aerowood. Read Less

We've been with Aerowood for awhile now for our two labradors and have had some problems off and on over the years such as being overcharged, vets performing tests without our authorization to rack our bill up and allergic reactions to shots. We always changed to a new vet at Aerwood thinking this would solve the problems, however we were pushed and pushed into giving our dogs a new immunization which we always turned down because we didn't know enough about it. The vet was relentless saying because we have labs we shouldn't think twice about not giving this shot. One of our labs developed a severe allergic reaction to it (or it was a combo of the regular shots and adding this one) and had to be taken into emergency care for two shots at $100! The vet never explained any side effects and I wish I would have listening to my instict and said no. We'll be switching vets immediately, I would strongly recommend finding a different vet if you're considering this one.Read Less

Read Less

I was greeted from behind the counter by a beautiful sweet pit bull (sorry can't remember his name).
