I am not the type to write reviews, but in this case I strongly believe it is warranted. My cat has been suffering with chronic, recurring, and extremely painful nail-bed infections for nearly 3 years now, which have been nearly impossible to treat due to the fact that she is apparently also allergic or unresponsive to every antibiotic there is. I've taken her to numerous vets countless times over the years, and every single one has either come back stumped, or completely blown it off as not a big deal (but they'll take my money for exams anyway!). I found Dr. Keiper after moving to the Bothell area and can honestly say she is the most helpful and intelligent vet I have ever encountered. She is logical in her reasoning and she always cites evidence when giving me advice. Over the past ~9 months, she has spent her own time (outside of our appointments) doing research, helping me figure out how to approach the conflicting advice I'd received from specialist vets, and talking with me over the phone about new things I can try. Though my cat's problem is still ongoing, she is the first and only vet to have ever made an honest effort to get to the bottom of this issue and she is the only vet I truly trust with my kitty. I could not possibly recommend her more!

First visit to this vet today. Was nervous because prior vet experiences haven't been good. Mainly I've felt ripped off and oversold in the past.
The vet I saw was wonderful. She was patient, good at explaining things, and not at all pushy. She recommended one prescription which was a very reasonable price, and suggested two future needs that I should consider down the road. None of those recommendations came with fear tactics of horrible damage if I wait a bit.
I'm very happy with how this visit went and I'm confident my cat received the needed treatment.

Great experience. Our dog was in misery with what turned out to be two foxtails (a kind of pointy grass seed for those who don't know that term) deep in an ear canal. My normal vet couldn't get us in until late afternoon of the following day. Bothell Animal Hospital got us in within 3 hours and our dog was back to his old self in no time.

I just returned from what is likely my 37th or so visit here. While I was there today I thought about how well this team has treated my family for the past 20 years. I am truly grateful for their professionalism and compassion. It is easy to get an appointment, and they never make you wait. I think I've seen every doctor, and they are all top-notch. Ely and Sasha have been particularly helpful. Thanks to all of you! We appreciate the work you do every day!

This is a difficult and unusual review to write because the reality is, I only visited Bothell Pet Hospital once because I sadly had to put my cat to sleep. My dear cat Chloe was 19 years old and diagnosed with IBD and kidney disease about two years ago. We had recently moved to the Bothell from the Bay Area so I needed to find a vet close by for her annual check up. Chloe's health started to deteriorate a few months after our move so I bumped up her check up date to meet with the doctor. Her weight had dwindled down to about 4 1/2 or 5 lbs. I knew it was time for Chloe, she was suffering and no longer seemed to find joy in life. But I wanted to talk to a doctor and have some assurance that I was making the right decision. It's always so hard to know when it's time :( I can't tell you how lucky I feel that I was assigned Dr. Wichert. By the time I was done talking with the nurse, I was crying. When Dr. Wichert walked in she quietly listened to me tell her about Chloe's history and symptoms. She never interrupted me and had a kind, compassionate face with really helped me stay (somewhat) composed. She examined Chloe and after a tearful discussion I decided it was time to say goodbye. I never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. The process was gentle and peaceful. I had been dreading this moment for years but couldn't have asked for a nicer environment or kinder person to share this with. Chloe was my dear friend for 19 years so there are no words to express my gratitude for Dr. Wichert and her staff for helping me say goodbye.I'm not sure if or when I will get another pet, but if I do I will most certainly return to Bothell Pet Hospital and Dr. Wichert where i know my pet will receive professional and compassionate care. Thank you Dr. Wichert for being so kind to my beloved cat, Chloe.

I brought my dog in for a cut on his Paw/pad. The docs were booked as that was their surgery day. I brought him in without an appointment and they treated him right away, even though they were booked that day.
The staff has a great attitude and really cares about the pets.
My dog had a couple of stitches put in on Thursday and I received a follow up phone call on Saturday by one of the staff ..Just checking up. Everything went well.
I've been a client for about 15 years with 2 dogs and give Bothell Pet Hospital my highest rating .

Debby and I started going to the Bothell Pet Hospital when it was all men in the veterinary positions. Yes, at one time it really was.
The doctors and the clinic staff have been there with us through the good times, the bad times, and the end times with our cats. Even the staff personnel in the front office and in the back, must be mentioned because they have also come to know us and our cats over the years. They, like our cats, have been "part of the family."
They have diagnosed and treated the maladies our cats have experienced, and they have been there with us when there was no longer any effective treatment left, but even then, they were still with us. They are good people.

I've been taking my cats to Bothell Pet Hospital for more than a decade, and they have always been the kindest, most compassionate and professional people you could ever want to encounter. They helped me nurse two elderly cats through their later years and provided gentle and caring end-of-life services that truly helped me get through the grief of losing dear companions, one of whom was more than 21 years old. Since then, Bothell Pet Hospital has been our go-to place for the health care needs of our two cats, litter-mates we adopted nearly five years ago. I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Kim Hsu and Dr. Shannon Smith as well as the friendly and helpful staff and technicians who provide excellent care for their patients and their humans alike.

Then--I found Bothell Pet Hospital and knew instantly they would be loving and caring to my pets.
I felt welcome and informed about the health of my dogs. The staff was helpful and welcoming. Dr Kovar was wonderful and thorough and I knew I had the best. I look forward to a long relationship with Bothell Pet Hospital.

I moved here with my human family and 2 older dogs from the East Coast in 1979 and a Shoreline neighbor suggested Bothell Pet Hospital to me. I have been very happy about the care my dogs have received over almost 40 years. I had a special veterinarian ... who retired, and the second vet I had my dogs see was also amazing! These professionals know their business, really love animals (including the front office staff), and are willing to explain technical terms ... and explain some more ... and some more. I'm an analytical person so appreciate knowing what's "really" going on re pet care. After all, our pets ARE part of our family, and we want them to have to best care possible. This is a great facility with an amazing staff.

We love Bothell Pet Hospital! They helped us with an emergency situation with our dog and they got us in immediately. They then coordinated with the animal ER they sent us to so the ER knew exactly what they were dealing with. Bothell Pet Hospital worked hand in hand with them and were right there helping us with the follow up to get him back up to good health.
When we have any concerns, both before and after this "exciting" one, they get us right in.
It's obvious they care about us as "pet parents" too and work as a team with us to keep our dog happy and healthy.

The one thing that never changed was the level of care! It's been stupendous from the very start!
There is not a better group of Vets & Techs. to be found. You get the treatment you need, you are NOT hassled into more than is needed, and the support for the animals as well as we humans is incredible.
Every single vet is knowledgeable and compassionate. Perfect combination. Office Staff is incredible.
We LOVE BPH...and recommend it with the greatest confidence!

I had to take my dog here in an urgent but not emergency situation. I didn't have an appointment and it was a Friday and they were very busy but they allowed me to leave my dog and the office staff was very friendly and explained exactly what to expect. Dr. Kim Hsu introduced herself and told me that she would be looking at my dog and would give me a call with details and she followed through on exactly what she said she was going to do. I feel like I received excellent care and they gave me an estimate of the cost and gave me the options of whether I wanted the blood work, x-rays, external lab reading, etc. I will definitely return. When a pet is very sick you want competence, efficiency, friendly vet and office staff, flexibility and understanding and that's exactly what I got. Thank you!

The best place to take your furry family members. I was referred by a friend and have referred many of my friends since. I have 2 cats and one dog and all three of my current animals as well as those I have said goodbye to have all recieved excellent care at this hospital. They have a great support staff and the Vets are all wonderful, careing, considerate and passionate about your pets health and well being. I have seen both Dr. Smith and Dr. Hsu and trust them with my animals health.

It's always so hard to know when it's time :( I can't tell you how lucky I feel that I was assigned Dr. Wichert. By the time I was done talking with the nurse, I was crying. When Dr. Wichert walked in she quietly listened to me tell her about Chloe's history and symptoms. She never interrupted me and had a kind, compassionate face with really helped me stay (somewhat) composed. She examined Chloe and after a tearful discussion I decided it was time to say goodbye. I never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. The process was gentle and peaceful. I had been dreading this moment for years but couldn't have asked for a nicer environment or kinder person to share this with. Chloe was my dear friend for 19 years so there are no words to express my gratitude for Dr. Wichert and her staff for helping me say goodbye.I'm not sure if or when I will get another pet, but if I do I will most certainly return to Bothell Pet Hospital and Dr. Wichert where i know my pet will receive professional and compassionate care. Thank you Dr. Wichert for being so kind to my beloved cat, Chloe.

You know you have found a wonderful Vet when you walk into her practice and the entire lobby and hall way is covered with framed photos of her clients (pets:))!They were very accommodating to my crazy schedule that day and my boys, Philo and Bear loved it there!Bothell pet hospital, you now have two new clients for life!

I brought my dog in for a cut on his Paw/pad. The docs were booked as that was their surgery day. I brought him in without an appointment and they treated him right away, even though they were booked that day.
The staff has a great attitude and really cares about the pets.
My dog had a couple of stitches put in on Thursday and I received a follow up phone call on Saturday by one of the staff ..Just checking up. Everything went well.
I've been a client for about 15 years with 2 dogs and give Bothell Pet Hospital my highest rating .

Debby and I started going to the Bothell Pet Hospital when it was all men in the veterinary positions. Yes, at one time it really was.
The doctors and the clinic staff have been there with us through the good times, the bad times, and the end times with our cats. Even the staff personnel in the front office and in the back, must be mentioned because they have also come to know us and our cats over the years. They, like our cats, have been "part of the family."
They have diagnosed and treated the maladies our cats have experienced, and they have been there with us when there was no longer any effective treatment left, but even then, they were still with us. They are good people.

I've been taking my cats to Bothell Pet Hospital for more than a decade, and they have always been the kindest, most compassionate and professional people you could ever want to encounter. They helped me nurse two elderly cats through their later years and provided gentle and caring end-of-life services that truly helped me get through the grief of losing dear companions, one of whom was more than 21 years old. Since then, Bothell Pet Hospital has been our go-to place for the health care needs of our two cats, litter-mates we adopted nearly five years ago. I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Kim Hsu and Dr. Shannon Smith as well as the friendly and helpful staff and technicians who provide excellent care for their patients and their humans alike.

I moved here with my human family and 2 older dogs from the East Coast in 1979 and a Shoreline neighbor suggested Bothell Pet Hospital to me. I have been very happy about the care my dogs have received over almost 40 years. I had a special veterinarian ... who retired, and the second vet I had my dogs see was also amazing! These professionals know their business, really love animals (including the front office staff), and are willing to explain technical terms ... and explain some more ... and some more. I'm an analytical person so appreciate knowing what's "really" going on re pet care. After all, our pets ARE part of our family, and we want them to have to best care possible. This is a great facility with an amazing staff.

We love Bothell Pet Hospital! They helped us with an emergency situation with our dog and they got us in immediately. They then coordinated with the animal ER they sent us to so the ER knew exactly what they were dealing with. Bothell Pet Hospital worked hand in hand with them and were right there helping us with the follow up to get him back up to good health.
When we have any concerns, both before and after this "exciting" one, they get us right in.
It's obvious they care about us as "pet parents" too and work as a team with us to keep our dog happy and healthy.

The one thing that never changed was the level of care! It's been stupendous from the very start!
There is not a better group of Vets & Techs. to be found. You get the treatment you need, you are NOT hassled into more than is needed, and the support for the animals as well as we humans is incredible.
Every single vet is knowledgeable and compassionate. Perfect combination. Office Staff is incredible.
We LOVE BPH...and recommend it with the greatest confidence!

I had to take my dog here in an urgent but not emergency situation. I didn't have an appointment and it was a Friday and they were very busy but they allowed me to leave my dog and the office staff was very friendly and explained exactly what to expect. Dr. Kim Hsu introduced herself and told me that she would be looking at my dog and would give me a call with details and she followed through on exactly what she said she was going to do. I feel like I received excellent care and they gave me an estimate of the cost and gave me the options of whether I wanted the blood work, x-rays, external lab reading, etc. I will definitely return. When a pet is very sick you want competence, efficiency, friendly vet and office staff, flexibility and understanding and that's exactly what I got. Thank you!

The best place to take your furry family members. I was referred by a friend and have referred many of my friends since. I have 2 cats and one dog and all three of my current animals as well as those I have said goodbye to have all recieved excellent care at this hospital. They have a great support staff and the Vets are all wonderful, careing, considerate and passionate about your pets health and well being. I have seen both Dr. Smith and Dr. Hsu and trust them with my animals health.
