DO NOT TAKE YOUR SMALL ANIMALS HERE! PLEASE! My dwarf hamster had a little cold, that could easily recovered from with about a week of antibiotics, and things were going well. A couple of days ago, we went back for a check-up appointment, and when the doctor came into do an exam, our hamster, like all hamsters do, bit her because she was stressed and confused.
Instead of ignoring the quick 1/2 second pain, the vet pulled her hand back, flinging my two year old hamster across the room, and onto the floor, about two feet away.
She was immediately knocked out, and the vet just told us that 'it wasn't my intention, it really wasn't', picked her up, and put her back onto the table. Our hamster did wake up after a couple of seconds, but she had obviously suffered a concussion from the incident. Thankfully, no broken bones, but since dwarfs only live to 1 1/2 years to 2 years old, it was like throwing a 90 year old grandmother across the room. Yes, she will live for a couple of hours more to a couple of days, but I doubt she'll recover, just like my beloved hamster.
She lived for two more days, but sadly passed away last night due to swelling and, probable, brain damage.
Please, I know this sounds like this isn't a real review and I made it up, but PLEASE TRUST ME. I still can't believe that it all happened so fast, so I'm begging you, please don't even chance it. I can't think about anything but the vet throwing my pet onto the floor and it's been days. It takes up my memory almost every waking hour. Please please trust me, I beg you, just please don't chance it and go somewhere else. Read Less
