My dog has mast cell tumors grade 3 and he is 10 years old. He has lasted well past the 14 weeks that is average for his condition. I called Five Corners and asked about euthanasia. I was told what it would cost, a box would be provided (since we wanted to bring him home) and an appt would be necessary. At that time I was not ready to put him down. However, the next day I was. So I called again and this time I was given the third degree about what vet the dog had been to previously. She insisted that the vet needed a record of the dogs medical history. She also insisted the dog would need an examination and that would cost me more. Mast cell tumors are huge, they stick out of a dog's body. Furthermore my dog had lost considerable weight, his ribs were sticking through, he was bloody, lethargic and although I have been giving him CBD he was in pain. She was very rude and seemed not to believe me. I hung up. I will never go there again. Read Less

The VCA Five Corners is a great place to take your pet. After moving to Seattle we had to find a new Vet. VCA is actually the second Vet we took our dogs to, but now it's our official Vet. The hours are better, the facilities are more professional, and the staff is more helpful. Hopefully we don't have to take our dogs there too often, but thankfully, when we do they're excited rather then scared when we walk in the door. Read Less

This may be the last time I go there. I brought my cat in to be euthanized. They badgered me for updated info on me even though I have no other pets & paid cash for the visit. Then drilled me about my cat's history when we were about to put her to sleep - with glaring eyes & comments that actually had me wonder if they felt I'd been abusing my cat I've had for 11-12 years & held & cared for so intensely when she was going through renal failure & so many other physical issues. I actually had fear they were going to call the police or something on me!! It was INSANE behavior for putting my beloved cat to sleep!! They didn't listen to me when they took her to insert catheters in her veins when I told them how to hold her, insisting SHE was putting herself (BAD hip!) into that position. THIS WAS HOW I GOT TO SPEND THE LAST FEW MINUTES OF HER LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go somewhere else... I personally love this office. I originally chose them because of their location, but even after moving somewhere inconvenient to get there, I keep coming back. I have dealt with Dr.'s Baker, Harris, La-Jeunesse, and Martinez, and they have all been great! As with any vet the services can get pricey, but I've never found a cheaper vet either. The vets are all very caring about my cat, and they even call to check in on him following treatments. He has had an unlucky streak lately with two emergencies in six months, and I have been extremely satisfied with the quality of care they provided him. I also love that they have a 24 hour emergency service, meaning you can call them any time you have questions or need to make or cancel an appointment. Their regular office hours are convenient too. I'd definitely recommend this office! Read Less

I would like to make a special thanks to Dr. Laura Ahlgrim, VCA Five Corners vet, for her impeccable, honest and caring handling of our dog and me as a customer. Our dog, Ripley, was clearly suffocating when we took her to the hospital in the middle of the night. We found out that her heart is 4X bigger than normal and due to her heart condition, her lungs are filling up with fluid, thus causing her not being able to get enough oxygen. We just went to another vet a month and a half ago, and her condition was completely missed by them. Here, they took care of her and us as well to make it as easy as possible to let her go. Unfortunately, we got here too late to have any possibility of recovery. The vet was very helpful and patient. She got a blanket for us so we can spend some time with Ripley. She helped us through the entire process.Thank you for getting us through this rough times. Ripley is now in doggy heaven enjoying all the treats she can get her paw on. Read Less

Worst Vet I Have ever been too. The assistants are rude. I could have learned more from googleing what was wrong with my dog and it would have cost me a lot less. In fact they gave me a number to call because they didn't know if licking flea protection off of another dog could make him sick. Then told me that this was a rare question to ask. I worked at Petsmart and on many occasions saw pets brought into the vet after doing so. Biggest waste of time and money. This Vet is the reason why people don't go to the doctor anymore and use WebMD instead.Read Less
