I was disappointed to see my husband's review had been removed. We had been taking our Yorkshire Terrier into this vet for collapsed trachea and coughing issues. At first they were very nice and helpful gave us medicine it did not work. Poor little smokies started gasping for breath was suffocating to death at 10 a.m. so my husband called The Cheney Veterinary Clinic and asked if he could bring Smokey in to have him put down so he wasn't suffering anymore. He was told they couldn't get him in until 3:30 p.m. . My husband pleaded with them explaining that are poor little dog was suffocating to death. The girl put him on hold then came back and said we can get you in at 2:30 p.m. my husband was very distraught had to go get his rifle and shoot our poor little Smokey in the head to put him out of his misery and 38 years of marriage I never seen my husband cry so hard. This one will also probably be taken down but I hope a few people can read it before it is

If you haven't had the pleasure of taking your pet here yet, or meeting Dr.Baker I HIGHLY recommend it. Dr.Baker is the most compassionate person I've ever met. She took such good care of my boy when I brought him in to be fixed. I'm an anxious momma when I leave my fur baby anywhere, but the nurses and staff made me comfortable. I want to personally thank this entire staff for the care that me and boy received. Now on to the healing process!! Ha ha.
Thanks guys for all you've done, couldn't be more appreciative of everything.

We've been going here since we moved in 5 years ago. The staff is always super friendly and the docs are always very nice. They are willing to explain anything and everything about your pet's care and what they feel is needed. They've always been upfront about cost and whether or not they feel any treatment or test is necessary. Great people!

Throughout the years I, like a lot of other happy pet owners, have visited many veterinary clinics. Dr. Titchenal at Cheney veterinary clinic and her assistant Rose were by far outstanding me and my cat. They helped explain her allergies and performed phenomenally. In addition, being a college student, their pricing is very afforable. In the future I'll prefer to visit this clinic.

We had two kittens that we needed to get spayed and neutered and this place was both local and convenient, and not terribly expensive for the procedure, so we decided to take them here. This is not our normal veterinary clinic but because of the price difference we decided to take them here. Both procedures went well and both cats are doing well today. While they were recovering we called about our female cat who they saw that day. Apparently her body has trouble disolving the stiches and her body had a small reaction to them so they gave us some antibiotics for her. I didn't have any complaints and would say it's a good local place if you need a veterinarian to take your animals to. I can also recommend spay and neuter procedures at this place, especially if you are on a budget.

I love this place! I recently took my dog Blaze here and he was having some major issues with his spine. Both Dr. Baker and Dr. Titchenal as well as the whole staff took such AMAZING care of him and made him as comfortable as they could for as much pain as he in. I will never take my dogs anywhere else! It is hard to find a vet clinc that is as passionate and caring as this one. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the staff.

I have taken all my dogs here and have received amazing customer service. My black lab Dozer has gone through a tumor removal surgery and a weekend stay as a puppy. The doctors care so much and KNOW your dog. It was amazing to see them call him by name for his follow up. I just recommended my friend Amber here for her dog Blaze and they took excellent care of him as well. I won't take my animals anywhere else. Cheney Vet is the best!

Awful. Our dog was seriously ill and when they told us how much it would be (turns out to be more than DOUBLE what Blackhawk quoted us) I told them we might have to make payments and they laughed at me. For some reason they changed their mind and gave him the bare minimum in testing. The male vet is a real ***hole, why would someone like that even want to work with animals? It must depend on the day because I have no idea where these 5 star reviews are coming from. For the sake of your beloved pets, look elsewhere.

As a rat owner it is extremely difficult to find a vet I trust with my furry little ones, since with short lifespans and some health issues that seem to come standard with these rodents, people seem to think they aren't as important. Not Cheney Vet! I have recieved nothing but top class, sincere care from every member of staff. From easy wellness checks for new kiddos to the heartbreaking loss of an old friend, they go above and beyond to make sure you and your pets are given the utmost standard of care, regardless of species. I am moving out of the area soon but I will be making the half hour trip back here for my vet visits, no one else will do! Thanks so much to everyone there and if you're looking for a vet for a new animal, you could not possibly do any better.

I went to Cheney vet because my dog of 13yrs was having labored breathing... They told me "good news, your dog doesnt have cancer! Looks like bronchitis." After a $500 dollar bill for labs and medicin...
I went to Cheney vet because my dog of 13yrs was having labored breathing... They told me "good news, your dog doesnt have cancer! Looks like bronchitis." After a $500 dollar bill for labs and medicine we left. A week or so went by with no change, I called them back and they prescribed a new medicine. It wasnt working, so I went to a different veterinarian. The new vet told me my dog had heart failure, cancer and liver failure. She died the next day. Cheney veterinarian clinic did not try to help my dog at all, and ruined my last few days with my dying dog. Please dont let this happen to you and your pet.

I am being fair with this clinic on my score. It is okay only if you do not care so much for your pet to go all the way to Spokane. However, I am truly unhappy. My dog continues to be ill after their diagnosis and prescription of medication. Also, my dog sitter noticed that my dog's spay surgery was long and commented on it. Since then I begin to be skeptical of this clinic.

From the moment I walked in the door the staff was sour-faced and rude. The doctor insulted my knowledge of my own pet, and immediately imparted to me that my rabbit was old and "probably going to die soon." He planned simply to run every expensive test possible to make up for the fact that he knew next to nothing about lagomorph biology. If you have a rabbit or other exotic, take them to an actual specialist, this place will simply try to empty your wallet.

I was disappointed to see my husband's review had been removed. We had been taking our Yorkshire Terrier into this vet for collapsed trachea and coughing issues. If you haven't had the pleasure of taking your pet here yet, or meeting Dr.Baker I HIGHLY recommend it. Dr.Baker is the most compassionate person I've ever met. Dr. Titchenal at Cheney veterinary clinic and her assistant Rose were by far outstanding me and my cat. They helped explain her allergies and performed phenomenally. We had two kittens that we needed to get spayed and neutered and this place was both local and convenient, and not terribly expensive for the procedure, so we decided to take them here. This is not our normal veterinary clinic but because of the price difference we decided to take them here. Both procedures went well and both cats are doing well today. While they were recovering we called about our female cat who they saw that day. Apparently her body has trouble disolving the stiches and her body had a small reaction to them so they gave us some antibiotics for her. I love this place! I recently took my dog Blaze here and he was having some major issues with his spine. Both Dr. Baker and Dr. Titchenal as well as the whole staff took such AMAZING care of him and made him as comfortable as they could for as much pain as he in. I will never take my dogs anywhere else! It is hard to find a vet clinc that is as passionate and caring as this one. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the staff.

I have taken all my dogs here and have received amazing customer service. My black lab Dozer has gone through a tumor removal surgery and a weekend stay as a puppy. The doctors care so much and KNOW your dog. It was amazing to see them call him by name for his follow up. I just recommended my friend Amber here for her dog Blaze and they took excellent care of him as well. I won't take my animals anywhere else. Cheney Vet is the best!

As a rat owner it is extremely difficult to find a vet I trust with my furry little ones, since with short lifespans and some health issues that seem to come standard with these rodents, people seem to think they aren't as important. Not Cheney Vet! I have recieved nothing but top class, sincere care from every member of staff.
