Very very helpful. Unfortunately had to take my dog during emergency hours because he was in so much pain and I couldn't stand find being miserable anymore. The veterinarian said there was a very good chance my 6 year old Chihuahua/terror mix had neurological problems. They provided me with a couple of options, told me prices, and told me to think about it. I sadly brought my dog in the next day to put him down. They were VERY comforting, explained the whole process, and even let me hold my baby 1 last time. I was charged $234 to put him down, get his ashes in a box I got to choose, a lock of hair, and a paw print. It arrived exactly a week after he left the world, I couldn't of been more thankful for this emergency veterinary hospital during this time. Read Less

Before I took Lilly (my Bernese Mountain Dog) to VCA, I first rushed her to Diamond Vet in Everett. I had a HORRIBLE experience here!! I walk in with Lilly, tell them what's going on, they get us into a room. I fill out the paperwork. 10 minutes pass, no one has come into the room yet to talk with us. I stick my head out and say, "please! Can someone help soon? She's in a lot of pain". There's no one else in the waiting room. Receptionist responds that a tech is coming into the room right now. A couple minutes later, the tech appears. I explain to her that Lilly is in a ton of pain, she's whimpering and panicking. I explain that she has had TPLO twice and she's acting so much more painful today than when she had her surgeries. I also explain that she has pet insurance and that money isn't an issue. The tech says okay. She says she must print out the estimate of Lilly's treatment and bring it to me to sign. She says she'll talk to the vet. The vet comes in a few minutes later, exams Lilly, I explain everything again. I tell them Lilly is NOT going to tolerate being touched to shave the huge wound, it's too painful. I request they sedate her. She leaves and a few minutes later the tech comes back in. The tech states that the vet wants to do blood work before putting Lilly under any anesthesia to make sure she is healthy enough. I state no, I do not want to wait for blood work results for her to be treated! She is miserable now and needs help. I also say she was under anesthesia a ton last year with no issues. The tech is obviously annoyed with me and leaves to check with the vet to see if that's okay. At this point, it's been 40 minutes and Lilly has gotten no pain medication, NOTHING. She's getting worse, can't hold still, whimpering. My heart is breaking for her. The tech walks back in and says that an emergency case just came in and she can't do anything for Lilly until that patient is taken care of. I'm furious at this point. I would have been totally fine had they given her a shot of pain meds or SOMETHING to help her out while we wait. But nothing was given. I grabbed Lilly and stormed out with my boyfriend. I feel like I wasn't taken seriously AT ALL! I know my damn dog. I had explained to both of them that when Lilly had a broken leg from TPLO, she jumped a 3 foot fence like it was nothing, without a whimper. She has a high pain tolerance and she's hit her threshold. ****** We ended up taking her to VCA in Lynnwood. There, they took Lilly back IMMEDIATELY before I even signed paperwork. They gave her pain meds, acepromozine, shaved her, then gave her a steroid shot and antihistamines once they cleaned and examined the huge wound. VCA put Lilly's needs first. Diamond Vet put the fear of being sued first, by having me hop through all the "proper steps" before treating her. Needless to say, I will never be supporting this emergency clinic again. Go to VCA instead!Read Less

Took my dog in when I noticed she got ahold of an ibuprofen bottle, when i first called them they wanted me to contact Posion control before even coming in, which wouldn't have helped considering I didn't know when she took the medicine, so I brought her in and they were very unfriendly towards myself and my dog, and were not very comforting. They didn't explain their plans very well and wanted to keep her for 24 hours and wanted me to pay 1600 out of pocket! When I told them I don't have that kind of money the tech responded, "how much do you have?" Walked out of there with a lowered bill of 400 very upsetting and I've told everyone I know locally not to bring their pets here.Read Less

But because they gave me bad information I waited TWO days just dying to get in there and they wouldn't clean my dogs ears because I was fucking $20 short. This place is unreal. You can tell this staff of amazing women love what they do. It set myself and most importantly my pup with care and ease. All my questions were answered and my dog came out happy, healthier than when he walked in and his tail was wagging! The office was clean, they had update treatments and recommendations, the took enough time and I was not rushed. The process was efficient, very affordable and professoional. Our experience with Diamond and our two 3 y/o Boxers has been nothing short of superb. We've taken our two boxers to Diamond Vet for more than 10 years now. We've primarily seen Doctor Zastrow who is a gem, knowledgeable, friendly and caring. She's treated our dogs through routine care to illnesses, disease and end of life. We've also seen Dr. Zakos and Dr. Hanna and felt in good hands at all times. We were referred to VCA Specialty center in Lynnwood for a bad bout of IMHA and appreciated the referral and that Diamond didn't try to treat something they weren't equipped for. I feel the prices have been reasonable, including for emergency visits, but it's worth shopping around for specific procedures I suppose if you have the time. I believe some dental work my boxer needed was going to be cheaper elsewhere, but in general haven't felt the fees were unusual. Read Less

These people I called because they were only one open on Saturday that I called. Soonest they could get me in was this morning. I asked twice and receive a very clear reply about how much an ear cleaning would be and that is all I needed because my dog was in pain. Well I show up the second they open today with the money I was told I needed for the visit. But because they gave me bad information I waited TWO days just dying to get in there and they wouldn't clean my dogs ears because I was fucking $20 short. This place is unreal. I cannot believe they just turned me away. Do not take your animals here, they don't give a damn if they screw up, they just want your money. Read Less

I've been bringing my dog here for 4 years and we both always get treated well. I'm especially grateful tonight when my dog ate a dozen chocolate cookies when I was out of the room. I called the emergency, after-hours line and spoke to the vet who calmed me down and told me what to do. Thanks so much for having someone there 24/7! I'm not sure what I would have done without you! Took our 9 year old dachshund, Benji into Diamond Veterinary Associates today. This was for a full check up, vaccinations, nail clip and general advice. Not only was the staff amazingly friendly, Dr. Gretchen Stroh was amazing! I highly recommend this office. They handled every step with a smile, calming touch with my maniac dog and laughter. I am thankful to have found a DVM and staff that excels at their craft and is so close to home. If you're looking for a place to bring your fur baby, this is the spot! Thank you Dr. Stroh and staff! Benji says thanks too.."woof'"Read Less

Our experience with Diamond and our two 3 y/o Boxers has been nothing short of superb. Maybe in-part this due to the fact our last vet was a bit crass and felt money grubbing, but mostly because they're are caring, professional and always offered care options with our tight budget in mind. Also, in respect to those who complain about the price, if you're NOT prepared to drop 2-3 hundred on your dog in a moments notice, then you shouldn't have one, in other words, like with all kids and pets "stuff happens". Read Less

I took my dog to Diamond and Dr. Hanna, did xrays, cleaning and other stuff all for well under the $1200 the 1st vet wanted. Diamond is way better and CHEAPER then the VCA in Silver Lake or the Low cost vet. I like this place, so far and I have the same Dr. Hanna for all my dog's vet needs. I haven't had a bad experience with Diamonds, so I cannot sad bad things. They seem good so far. Read Less
