Ignore the bad reviews, it's mostly people not realizing that pets are expensive especially if they want proper care. The lobby is super clean, me and my bunny got into a room super fast so he wouldn't have to deal with dogs barking, they handled him well and were kind and caring to my pet. The apt was only 15 dollar more than a different hospital, but the care seems so much better and they aren't shoving you in a small lobby and waiting forever. We had our two golden retrievers Maggie & Millie stay in a luxury suite for 7 nights why we were away on vacation. We were stressed missing our dogs but knowing they were at the NW animal care's kennel, getting daily updates and photos eased our stress. I've been taking my cat to Northwest Animal Care for 5 or 6 years now. They have always been excellent to deal with and have taken great care of my little baby girl Toado. I am from Missouri visiting my son when my dog Mary became very ill. She was not improving so I decided she needed to be seen by a vet. I looked online and found NW Animal Care which was. I called on a Saturday around noon and they were able to get me in ASAP. We suspected she had pancreatitis which is not good but the vet gave me options as to what tests we could do and rule out certain things. I decided on what tests to have done after the consultation which ruled out everything thankfully. We decided she had a really bad upset tummy, gave her some prescribed meds and easy digestible canned food for a few days and now she is back to her old self. The staff was very nice, caring and allowed me to make decisions about what tests to run to diagnose her and treat. When it comes to the health of my little Mary her treatment and health are more important than the cost. I was completely satisfied with everything. When I got back I found out that is where my son takes his dog Scoobie for her medical needs and shots.:) I would not hesitate taking my little Mary back there if I had too. Great experience! We just brought our new (14 week old) puppy in to NW Animal Care a Puppy check-up and vaccine update. This being our first time, we were all a bit anxious, but the experience was actually surprisingly pleasant. Everyone on the staff was so friendly, informative, competent and conscientious. Our pup was extremely nervous in the beginning, but the crew was so gentle and kind and patient that she was just fine by the end of the visit. The facility was also immaculate (and very well designed to help minimize stress on the patients (and their owners). This was just our first visit to NW Animal Care, but if this is the kind of service experience we see going forward, then they will undoubtedly be our veterinarian home for the life of our little pup. I was very unhappy with the service and  the prices are so high. The doctors are all about business  and moving on to their next patient. They show little compassion. I brought my animal in here and was charged a big fee for testing then she became even more ill two weeks later and they charge me again for the same testing. I called the billing supervisor and he would not budge on the price. They nickel-and-dime you for everything. Big issue with this place is too many vets and no time to take good care of the animals. I don't think I will be boarding with this company.  During my search for a boarding facility I went there to check things out. Met Gabi, she was great, very down to earth and friendly. Answered most of my questions. Not sure where the receptionist was. But after our talk she went on with her duties while I waited to get pricing ( very expensive). As I was waiting I over heard Gabi being yelled at. It was so rude and unprofessional. I over heard some of the other workers saying the one that was yelling was Katie. She belittled poor Gabi and seemed to treat her like she was lower than dirt. I am sorry but if this woman treats people like this I can only imagine how pets are treated. I don't understand why a company would employ such a poor mannered and unprofessional person. Katie you need to be taught manners.To Gabi you deserve to work at a better place. Staff is chaotic and disorganized. Called twice today (Saturday) to pick up special cat food previously ordered. No one could locate the order. Was told, "I need to call Summer. I'll call you back." 30 minutes later, no call. So I called again - talk to another staff member. "Oh, Summer doesn't work weekends." OK, so what am I supposed to do? I run out of the special cat food on Tuesday. Answer: "I'm sure the other member is doing everything she can to help you. Meanwhile, she's assisting another client." This chaos happens consistently during the one month I've been a new client. Voiced concerns about a staff member, and I was told by her supervisor, "Recommend you find a clinic that fits your personality." Gotta love that Pacific Northwest bedside manner. Later Saturday: Finally received a return call. "We think the food you ordered was sold to another client but we can't be certain. We can order more but it won't arrive till the end of next week... " Guess it's time to shop for yet another cat clinic. Monday: The cat is dying. So I don't need that special food, and certainly don't need your stinking premier clinic attitude. Read Less

Well, they saw my failing to thrive kitten without an appointment. I was a little disappointed with how long I was at the counter checking in whilst my kitten gasped for air. Once they took the kitten back, they checked it out right away and it wasn't long before they came to talk to me. They told me there was little to be done, but for an estimated $700 they would inject sugar water under the skin. I could not pay this so I paid $85 walk through the door fee and left with dying kitten. I will likely not be returning. The lobby was homey though. That was nice. (After this I went to value vet in desperation. They gave kitten oxygen, sugar water, monitored for 2 hours, and sent me home with nutrition supplements etc for $270. Their lobby is lame though. I can't say enough good things about NAC!  We moved to Everett in 2014 and shortly after we adopted out dog Barley from the Everett Animal Shelter.  While researching local Vets in the area, I came across NAC and they were quite reputable so we decided to take our new dog and older girl to them for a check up.  They are pricier than other vets but I feel you pay for the quality of service.  They were very nice from the get-go.  The front staff, vet techs and the doctors are exceptionally delightful.  My older dog, Aurora gets very nervous at the vet and she melts to the floor.  The docs are always patient with her and even sit on the floor with her to tend to her.  My small dog, Barley is totally comfortable with them and is a really good patient.  He has had, teeth extractions, mass removal, X-rays, biopsies, blood work and regular check ups.  They have always taken such great care of my dogs.  I am glad we found them. Great first experience. We needed a new vet closer to home. Very nice facility. The receptionist, vet tech and vet were all friendly. Great care for our two kitties. They took plenty of time and asked lots of questions and were so gentle with the animals. They did an ear culture on one and bladder culture on the other. And they called a few days later to see how the cats were doing. A little expensive? Probably comparable to many other facilities. Glad I read the reviews and found a new vet. They handle my 14 year-old cat who turns into a "demon" kitty when he goes to the vet (due to an experience at another vet clinic ... not this one) with great care and gentleness. Dr. Purdee was wonderful, listening and paying attention to us and our needs and concerns for our cat. Dr Johnson is the best vet I have ever dealt with. We, me and my French bulldog, Binks, met him 2 days after Bink's had gone lame and it happened on Christmas Eve and nobody was open. I did some research and found Dr Johnson, who, as it works out, owns Pugs (another flat faced breed) so I took a chance and am I ever happy I did. He got Binks back up and walking without surgery or costing me a fortune. Dr Johnson has been very through and although my dog does have several medical issues, I am very well informed and prepared to work with him to keep my best friend in peak health. I am very happy to have found Dr Johnson and have never hesitated to refer my friends to him when they are in need of a vet. Read Less

I really could't be happier with Dr Engel and the entire crew at NW Animal Care Hospital. My poor kitty was not doing so well and they managed to fit him in last minute and get him back on his feet again. He was admitted for 3 nights and I received twice daily calls from the doctor as well as an additional check in from the tech to update me on his progress. The prices were incredibly reasonable compared to other places we've been. We will definitely be back and be recommending. And kitty has bounced back beautifully thanks to their care. This review is for boarding only.We boarded our kitty here in December while we were out of town.  They are only 5 minutes from my house which is great.  Every person I dealt with was wonderful.  They answered all my questions and I knew our kitty was in good hands.  I will use them again when we need to board our cat. The vets here are super nice and knowledgeable. They treat each of my dogs with love and know how each breed has special cases. Not only have I taken my mutts, but also my purebred Greyhound, and they fully understood his sensitive nature. I dogs are always confortable, even when needing unconfortable things (like shots, or anal checks). I highly recommend them. Read Less

This facility is incredibly overpriced. While I believe the care is quality and the people are wonderful and caring, I was charged $500.00 for an ultrasound. The new vet charges $42. My dog has bladder cancer and that's $450.00 I will not be able to spend on her, making her comfortable and giving her a better quality of life for the time she has left. I did ask beforehand if I could have this procedure done cheaper and was told it might be more expensive as I'd have to pay for a specialist. I'm not sure why she told me that since that's exactly what they do there--have a radiologist come in. Read Less

NW Animal Care Hospital is exceptional. Dr. Johnson is the best vet we've ever seen. When my toy poodle, Tiny Tim, pulled his leg out of the socket falling back off a couch onto a hardwood floor at a friend's house, he was able to operate on the leg and secure it so that it would never come out of the socket again. NW Animal Care gave him some physical therapy, including swimming in a warm pool and balancing on a ball. Tiny Tim was able to heal completely and quickly because of the earnest and loving care given to him by Dr. Johnson and his staff. Their always there for me and my Tiny Tim and always have smiles on their faces when we walk in. They understand how precious our pets are. Read Less

I love everything about this place! The assistants are caring and great with our dogs, all of the doctors are knowledgeable and I never feel pressured to buy extra stuff from them. They are all so compassionate and they truly care about the animals they are taking care of. The boarding facilities are also amazing. Dr. Robertson is our FAVORITE! I have been taking dogs to NWACH for many years, mostly to Doctors Nemeth and Robertson. Each is excellent: Knowledgable, professional, and always able to give helpful advice. If they say they will call me, they do, regardless of how busy they are. I especially like the fact that Day Care, Boarding, and rehab services along with veterinary care are all located on this one site. If we board (which we do) and an emergency arises (it has) I am reassured by the fact that immediate vet care can be administered by a vet my dog knows. I was once contacted on a cruise ship and alerted that care was needed. Our dog was taken out of boarding to the hospital just feet away and given the necessary medical care. Our vacation could go on with us fully assured our dog would be just fine and in good hands while we were a continent away. For us, this is the best vet facility near us. It is hard to get a grooming appointment, but the grooming is also very good. Read Less

Couldn't have been happier with this place! I just moved to the area recently from ND and was kind of dreading having to find a new vet as I was always so happy with the clinic that I went to back home. I truly didn't think I was going to find another clinic with such a wonderful and friendly staff, all the way from the girls at the front desk to the vet himself. But then I called and made an appointment with Northwest Animal Care Hospital and I can tell you I will not even bother looking for another place to go again, even if I have to drive out of my way to bring my dog to this place. Amazing experience. Took our 1 year old VERY SKITTISH mini Aussie for her shots. The staff was warm and friendly from the moment we stepped in the door. Dr. Johnson did a very thorough examination of her and, when it came time to give her the vaccinations, he was very gentle and quick. She never whimpered or yelped at all. I do not remember the nurse's name and I feel bad about that because she was very good and even took our dog to the back to trim her nails. All in all a very pleasant experience.Read Less

We adopted our cat from the Everett Animal Shelter in March 2013, and when we did, there was a certificate for a complimentary pet checkup at Northwest Animal Care. With this also being conveniently located near our home, it's been a great place to take Keaira for her regular checkups.Our cat hates getting in her kennel and going anywhere, and the vet's office is no different. Being an indoor cat, and our only fur baby, she's not used to other animals. With that said, the staff here have always been sweet with Keaira and coaxing her out of her kennel - which funnily enough, it's hard to get her in there at home! They are always on time with their appointments, thoroughly discuss her health with me, and suggest products to help her health (ie: dental treats to help remove tartar from her teeth). Their prices are reasonable, and while no visit is ever inexpensive, I would only want the best for our kitty anyways. Read Less

I took my cat to Doctor Brent when we thought she was dieing, thankfully she was not. But the compassion and care we got there was wonderful. I was given a tour of the facility and liked it so much we used the boarding condo for our cat when I had to go on an unexpected trip. He has done surgery on our cat and again the care was amazing. We recently bought a puppy and of course they will be our only vet even though we live in another city now, the drive is worth the care. Abby and now Goldy give a big thumbs up. Read Less
