Great place and they knew exactly what to do about my flea infestation. Just felt like the doctor was in a hurry. Good overall. Edit 5/30/18: I would like to edit my review from 3 star to 5-star rating. I must admit that my original rating did not accurately portray the level of service I received from Cascade Veterinary Hospital. It was a lapse in my judgement and a preconceived notion that made me feel like we required more of the doctor's attention. But after considering the following,: (1) how busy the doctor is & (2) how many times she has solved this issue, I should have taken her steadfast approach as a display of her expertise in the matter, and not a lack thereof. Thank you Dr. Teberg for taking time to care for my dog and I apologize for the lack of thought in my review. I didn’t necessarily use their services, but my cat was turned in as a stray and the staff went above and beyond to take great care of my cat and track us down! So happy to be reunited with her and will definitely use them for future veterinary services. Thank you so much!Read Less

I can't say enough about the staff at this clinic! Shannon at the front desk worked us in on a very busy day, Catt was helpful and friendly with us during the check-in. Dr Teberg and Corina are the best ! Dr Teberg always has the answers and best options for our dog's health. Corina is very knowledgeable and makes all of us comfortable during the exam or tests. Horrible service and care. I took my dog here for the third time of being seen to find out what is wrong with him and the technician came out and said can I take your little girl from you? First of all, my dog is a boy - you think they would know that.And secondly they didn't even know what he was being seen for. He was supposed to have X-rays done and appointment was specific to that. It was terrible. I still have no idea what is wrong with my dog but at this point I will be seeing another vet to determine that! Read Less

After taking my dog to multiple vets that made me feel like I was just getting scammed and expected to pay hundreds just to be told the same thing over and over and not getting the information and help I needed to help my dog who had a tumor on his eyebrow and was diagnosed with spindle cell cancer. I was losing hope until I found this place which was not only affordable but I was given so much more helpful info and they made me feel like they cared and loved my dog ecko as much as I do. They were so great and were able to handle my super excited and rambunctious canine companion! I couldn't be more thankful to have found this place and I would encourage anyone who has been on the hunt for a great affordable and helpful vet for your furry family member to definitely go here!Read Less

We have been going to Cascade for more than 20 years with our dogs. The staff feels like family and they truly care about us and our fur babies. We miss Dr. Farris and have grown to love Dr. Teberg. We wouldn't trust anyone else with the care of our dog. Read Less

The service is fine for the most part. But the long-time vet who was there had retired and it just doesn't seem to have the same feel. Now it feels more like a money making pet clinic than your family veterinarian. Read Less

Friendly staff and open layout so it doesn't feel like they are taking your animal away behind closed doors. Location can be a bit hard to get to but hopefully you aren't going often enough for that to be an issue. Read Less

We brought in our lab coco in two weeks ago with a horrible rash (unknown) on her face and ears, to the point where her eye swelled shut. The clinic got us in same day and took care of her, she is now back to herself and happy as could be. Thank you so much!!! We just transferred to Cascade Vet. Dr. Howard really took her time. She looked at my cat's medical history, symptoms and xrays and corrected a misdiagnosis . Now we have Bob Kitty on the correct meds!! Thank you for such a thorough visit. It is such a relief and it all makes sense now! Read Less

We have been using cascade for at least 15-20 years and have loved every single experience we have had with them. As a kid my parents took our pets here and I have continued to with my animals as an adult. They are more then helpful every time we go in. Any question I have ever had they've answered completely. The animals are well taken care of. We now live in graham and I still drive to federal way to take our animals here. I've tried other vets out near us and just never got the good feeling cascade and Dr. Farris give us. Love them! And recommend every person go here! Read Less

I am new to the area and needed a vet for our 4mo old puppy. Dr. Farris and his staff were wonderful! Even though they were a little under staffed the day of our visit they all took their time with me and our dog. It's the kind of service you don't find regularly. I even got a genuine follow up call the day after just in case there was any other questions that came up after our initial visit. Their prices were very reasonable and I didn't feel I was being up sold on services or medications. I look forward to coming back for future visits for sure and the puppy was put at such ease I don't think she'll mind a bit either. Read Less

I've lived in/around Federal Way my entire life and unfortunately had no idea this place even existed until recently. My parents and I had been taking our pets to another vet in FW (our dogs saw different veterinarians) and had been having very different experiences - my parents were not happy campers. This led them to look for somewhere new to take their Lab. I had no intentions of seeking out a new vet as things seem to be going well for my pups with the vet they had been seeing. A few weeks ago my dog was bitten by another pup and required stitches and a drainage tube which I had done at our usual vet. My springer spaniel is a rescue and can get very stressed out - he gets hyper and wants to bolt. He has been to the vet before for teeth stuff so I was surprised when the vet let me know he lost his bowels when they put him in a room to calm down after getting stitched up. A day later he manage to pop his collar and chew what looked like 2 stitches - I immediately called the vet to find out if I should bring him in and was informed that he was probably fine and to just keep the regular appt a few days later to remove the tube. I had to work so my mom took my pup in and had what she says was one of the worst vet experiences of her life. She was yelled at by the vet about the stitches (the ones I'd called about) and they managed to scare my dog so bad that he lost his bowels yet AGAIN (this had never happened before at the place where he had gotten shots and his teeth cleaned when I first got him). Another $125 later (the original procedure cost $400) and they sent my pup home without doing anything with his stitches - I was just supposed to clean the wound and put the cream on. My dog had started hiding in closets and didn't seem to be getting better. It was this experience that led me to Cascade.My dad was furious over how things had gone at my vet and took my pup to Cascade for a second opinion. These people were FANTASTIC. I think it was Dr Farris (I'm not 100% sure) that saw my pup and he was great. In a very professional politically correct way he pretty much told my dad my dog's stitches needed to be redone and that from the looks of my pup and some of the incisions the work that was done in the first place was a little puzzling. I took this to mean - what the eff did that other vet do to my pup?! He cleaned up the wound and redid the stitches - it went from looking very frankensteinish to very tight and neat. Next my dad was told that my dog needed stitches on the inside and the outside (this is apparently standard practice, but the other vet only stitched the outside of the wound together).  He also let my dad know the cream the other vet sold me was unnecessary (awesome). My pup has now been there twice (the second time was for suture removal) and has been very happy boy both times. No lost bowels or freaking out - those people have an amazing way with animals! Also it was WAY cheaper than the other vet. When my other pup started having eye problems they were very accommodating and got her in immediately. Since I wasn't able to be there with her for the eye stuff (they let my brother drop her off since I was already at work in Seattle) Dr Farris actually called me to let me know what they had done and to get more history on her. I really can't say enough good stuff about this vet. Everyone I've talked to who have heard of them have had nothing but good things to say.One last note ... our old vet was A Small Animal Hospital. I wasn't going to mention their name, but since the episode with my pup who had to have stitches I've talked to several people who have had experiences there similar to mine and worse and I think people who are researching places to take their animals should know. This is one of the better vets out there. Farris is awesome as is the staff. Staff is very caring. Its also nice that they know about nutrition. I hate going into a vet where they sell me a $15 bag of food for $75 and its full of chemicals and it doesnt really work. Here they gave me options on other foods that some of the local pet stores sold. You can tell they love what they do as it seems their staff is always the same, compared to going to some other vets where they seem to have different people whenever you go in.  Only drawback is their location.
