Very thorough. My dog has had recurring infections that her regular vet just kept treating with antibiotics, but not looking for an underlying cause. I'd had enough, so I called Twin Lakes. The doc is exploring several possible causes. I feel like she really listened to me and respected me as the one who knows the dog best. They're not cheap, but they're cost conscious and not wasting time and money on unnecessary allergy tests or expensive "prescription" food (that we know from experience doesn't help). I've lived in the area off and on for over 20 years, and used them periodically. They haven't always been very good, so I'm taking away one star, but I'm willing to give it back if they can solve my dog's problem. Read Less

The level of service, care and compassion cannot be beat by any other vet. My experiences at Twin Lakes Veterinary Hospital are always a pleasant one and I always feel my pet is extremely well taken care of every single time. You can tell that every single person that works here loves animals and cares about your pet just as much as you do. My family's dog was so well taken care of here for over 9 years that I knew I had to take my dog here as well. I have been using their services for my dog since he was a puppy 8 years ago. I drive 15 miles out of my way from Black Diamond to have my dog's vet services done here and I will continue to do so. Every staff member here is so amazing and awesome, can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Read Less

My dog respects the doctors and care givers and We have always received appropriate treatment and received valuable information for how to better care for my dog. They don't scold me if she gets overweight, but instead just problem solve. They are available every time I call and do their best to get me in soon or urgently when needed. I'm so glad we found this team and so close to home as well. Prices are reasonable and fair. They are a bit less costly than the vet we had in Seattle. We just started taking our new addition Lola to Twin Lakes Vet this summer. The staff have gone above and beyond our customer service expectations. We had an unexpected change of plans and found ourselves needing to leave Lola in trusted hands. We had never left her with anyone before and were anxious. The staff exceeded my expectations, going out of their way after hours to update us on how our pup was doing! Staff have always been friendly and professional. This review is coming from someone who grew up in a privately owned vet clinic (mom is the practice manager at another clinic in eastern WA for 20+ years). Having had my dogs for 12 years, and moved to three different states - we've been to a few vets over the years. This is the best of the best! When we moved to WA almost 3 years ago, I brought all 3 dogs in to get checked out after the move (from TX). My gal was elderly (14) and had slowly been on the decline. Dr. Rob and his staff were so amazing with her and me! As she neared the end, I was bringing her in like once a month, having her checked-out and exploring any options I had to prolong my time with her. The staff dealt with my sweet Maria and my neurotic behavior with such compassion and care. When it finally came time for Maria to go, they were all even more amazing. They knew how much I cared for her and made it as gently as it could possibly be. Maria was in such good hands all the way until the end. They even went the extra mile to check on my a couple days later to see how I was doing. I now live in Snohomish and just made an appointment for my two boys to get their annual check-up. I have zero problem driving the hour to this place. Many have posted that they felt this clinic was expensive. I don't agree. I have always found the prices to be reasonable and usually less than what I paid in Texas. Even if they were more expensive, it would be more than worth the cost because of the fantastic treatment my pets get. Read Less

From my very first phone call to Twin Lakes Animal Hospital, I felt my business was valued and appreciated. I felt respected and everyone I spoke with was kind and went out of their way to be helpful. The wait time was short so I felt my time was respected. My dog LOVED the doctor immediately. He jumped up on him for hugs as soon as he came in and our dog doesn't do that unless he loves you. He is a retired police k9 and is very well trained. So he's not a jumper. The doctor was very knowledgeable and treated me with kindness and respect and explained everything in full detail to me without talking down to me. We were told our test results would take a couple of days and I was contacted promptly once they did come back. The doctor himself called me and spent 10 minutes on the phone explaining to me our options and test results. You don't see that kind of dedication and appreciation for business everywhere. I took my dog there because he had a gnarly rash on his belly and hind legs and had tarted limping. Everyone was super friendly and the vet was really understanding of my first pet parent panic. She told me he had a skin infection and prescribed antibiotics and medicated shampoo. She tried to examine his knee, but he wasn't cooperative, but she guessed he might have damaged the ligament. She prescribed pain meds for him as well. All in all, a great experience, however I wouldn't recommend getting  the meds from them. If I had bought them from the vet, it would have cost me about $150, so I took them to Wal-Mart and paid about $20 for everything except the shampoo, which they didn't carry. The antibiotics didn't work at first, so I called the vet and she said I could either bring him in for a skin swab that would test the bacteria on the skin in order to narrow down what type of infection he had, or she could give him some more of the same antibiotics and hope that worked. Considering the skin swab would cost $136 plus the exam fee and I was homeless at the time, I decided to keep on the antibiotics I got from Walmart for $15. After about 3 months of antibiotics, I finally changed his food and that cleared him up. Moral of the story, good vet (not the best, but I dont blame them for that), pricey meds(go to walmart). My poor dog had an open sore on her leg. The vet examined her, said it would need lancing, and $600 later she had put my dog under general anaesthesia only to discover that the sore was only scar tissue--which she should have seen from the start. The vet and clerks did not communicate, and so I would hear one thing while talking to the vet, then another thing from the clerks when I showed up to pick up ointment or other meds. Later, when I came back for another antibiotic ointment dose (already prescribed, earlier, though expensive--over $100), I was told that the vet wanted to charge for another examination before I could pick it up. This clinic cares more about charging for unnecessary procedures and tests than my dog's health.Read Less

Pros - the staff are very friendly and Dr. Driscoll is very knowledgeable and great with our rescue pup!Cons - EXPENSIVE!!!!!!Personal Experience - I have taken my rescue puppy there multiple times and they are great. However it seems like every time I leave an appointment, I leave with a big bill and meds.  For example, my husband and I took our puppy in because he was sick from eating our neighbors dog food. He was dehydrated and hungry which they took care of by giving him fluids (thank you, thank you) but they also prescribed expensive antibiotics which I don't think were necessary. Seems antibiotics are over prescribed in canines just as much as they are in humans! Ha!  Ultimately it's your decision on the treatment for your pet so just think twice before whipping that credit card out.  For example, I found that you can get the same medication (if absolutley necessary) through a compound pharmacy for a fraction of the cost! All in all they are great though and I will continue to take our fur babe there!! *Disclaimer: Do NOT go here!*I've been taking my black lab to this vet for as long as I've lived in Federal Way (about 4 years) and I'm finally fed up with this place. My dog has seasonal eye allergies and I've taken her into here at least 6 to 8 times for them. Without failure, every single time I do they have never been able to tell me exactly what is wrong but that she "might have allergies" then they prescribe her an antibiotic and an eye ointment to clear it up and charge me $150 before I'm on my way. Even when I took her in a couple months ago for an irritated butthole they had no idea what was wrong with her but charged me $80 for an exam and an anal gland expression when I never even asked for it. Her allergies acted up again and I ordered the same exact ointment she always gets on 1-800--PETMEDS and it was only $40! But they have to verify the prescription with your vet and since the last time I took her in for this was JULY- and it's now NOVEMBER they refuse to verify her prescription without an additional $70 examination! I'm a broke college kid and can't afford this all the time, when I called to remedy the issue, they insisted I bring her in claiming that because they "don't know" what the issue is the ointment could make it worse. It is CLEARLY the same issue it has been the past 6 years of her life, always showing up on the same eye and always healing perfectly when I use the ointment! I'm definitely going to be finding a new vet for my dog because I need a clinic that ACTUALLY knows what they're doing for the ridiculous prices they charge! Read Less

I have been taking my dog here for over a year now. I am really pleased with the service, everyone is always friendly and professional. They offer a wide range of services. Besides your regular vet check up they also board. My biggest issue with this, is that you have to have the pet dropped off/picked up no later than 1:30pm on Saturdays and no one is available to receive or check out your pet on Sundays. Other than that I was happy to get a report card. If your dog shows any signs of fleas ect they will give a short-term treatment ($17 I believe). My dog in particular was having some very concerning symptoms and after working with Dr. Robb and staff my dog has been diagnosed with Cushings. We have regular check ups to test her to make sure she is on the correct amount of medication. I get a prescription for an oral flea medication that I really love. And while my dog is there for her 4-6 hour test sessions that have clipped her nails (roughly $15) as well as expelled her anal glands ($16 I think) they always ask if I need something else done or if they can do anything for us. They have some food/treat/grooming options available for sale, none of which have ever been pushed on me in any way which is nice too! Overall pricing for me has been expensive because I have had lots of tests run for my dog, but I can't say that Twin Lakes is any more expensive than any other vet I've been too. I do recommend them!TIP: Underneath the counter there are hooks to attach your dogs leash while you are checking out with the receptionists ;) Read Less

We have been going to Twin Lakes for many years now, we have had a dog and a cat that we had taken there, although they are no longer with us and we have two dogs we currently take for their usual needs and when they aren't feeling well. They are always welcoming and you can tell that everyone there really enjoys working with the animals. It's fairly convenient and it is not one of those vets that makes you question the level of service, you know you will get the best with Twin Lakes.I would highly recommend Dr. Driscoll, she has seen all of our animals and has a calming effect for both your animal and you. She knows what she is doing and really helps make things better!Overall, this would be the place to go for all of your veterinary needs! Read Less

We just got a new puppy about 4 months ago and they have been fantastic. We bought a puppy plan thru them that paid for all of her shots and very extensive exams. It also gave us a discount for her spay. We just her spayed last Friday- and we had to take her back in because she was in a great deal of pain. Dr. Driscoll was great, when I called for an update she explained what she thought could be the issue and relieved all of my concerns. We recently moved to NewCastle and still bring her here because the vets and staff are wonderful. I hightly recommend them. Read Less

I've been taking my dog here for a few years now and I couldn't be happier. First, they have appointment times that actually work for my schedule, and when I've needed something on an urgent basis, that hasn't been a problem either. Second, once I arrive, they see my dog almost right away - no hanging around. I usually try to see Dr. Anderson since I think she's great, but I have had good experiences with all the vets there. Also, I have never felt pressured to do more testing or had the "up-sell." They let me set the pace for the treatment, without that judgmental look that if you don't spend, spend, spend, then you're somehow a bad dog owner.True, they are not the cheapest vets in the area, but I used to take my dog to one of those other places and it just wasn't worth it. I used to spend HOURS waiting to see the vets and never saw the same person twice. It was like a poorly run HMO for animals. I don't mind paying a little bit more and knowing that when I come in, Dr. Anderson and the staff already know my dog's history and personality. It can't be overstated what a time-saver that is. They've been able to just look at her and say, "Yeah, she's not herself."I guess it all comes down to trust. I trust them with my animal's health. 'Nuff said. Read Less

I have taken my baby girl Daisy, an 11 1/2 year old lab, here 3 times and every single time the Vets have been caring, knowledgeable, and make sure that all of our questions are answered. And the staff there are always very friendly and welcoming. Daisy had an accident in the font office once and they were sooo sweet about it and took care of all of it. I give them 5 big gold stars! I brought my rabbit in on an emergency basis because my usual vet could not get me in. The nurse & doctor were very friendly and showed great care and respect when handling my rabbit. Although the doctor I saw did not have enough specialized expertise to 100% diagnose my rabbit, she got me to a point where I could wait until my regular vet could see us. Twin Lakes is a bit more expensive than my regular vet,  but their service, genuine care for the health of my bunny and their ability to take last minute appointments made it worth the charges. Read Less

We've been coming here for over five years now, and every time receive exceptional service. I know or pets are in the best hands, and the doctors are so educated and thorough. They spend as much time as you need to feel comfortable. We just had to put our 16 year old Beagle down, and every single staff member was kind, helpful, empathetic, and patient. They made the experience so much better than I could have hoped for. Extremely clean and safe. Pricing is on the high end, but you absolutely get what you pay for!Forgot to mention they have flexible hours, so we always get in on short notice as well as being seen very soon after arrival!!

'Nuff said. Read Less
