I was referred to Dr. Hill by someone from the organization where I adopted my cat years ago. I initially called and left a message for Dr. Hill with the receptionist outlining what was going on with my cat (chronic upper respiratory issues), and asking for a return phone call to discuss if they felt they would be able to offer me any options for diagnosis or care. A week later I still hadn't received a return phone call, so I left another message for Dr. Hill with the receptionist. That evening he called me back and said "I have exactly 7 1/2 minutes to talk to you and I'm setting a timer". Wow! Not the kind of compassionate care I was expecting based on the referral. Needless to say it was difficult to try to ask questions when under a timer for care. Never once was I even offered an exam, so I did not request one. I don't know how everyone else has given them high marks if they experienced the same attitude that I did. He did make some suggestions, but offered no care or recommendations on where to go for the kind of tests he suggested. And I must say that both messages I left were polite and inquiring about options of care for my cat. Read Less

Dr Hill has taken care of our cats for over 14 years. In the past year, we lost both of our older cats that they had cared for since they were kittens, and Dr Hill and his staff were so compassionate and caring through an extremely tough time for us. This week, he got to meet our two new kittens and we look forward to their great care of these new additions to our family. I can't understand or believe the bad reviews!We had to have our much loved 17 year old cat put down this week.  Dr. Hill COULD NOT havebeen more professional or compassionate as he explained the options and possible outcomes.  He treated us like family.  It was a sad day that he made better through his compassion.  He does not deserve the unfavorable reviews!  His pricing is more than fair too. I don't think I'll ever switch clinics after finding this one! The staff is great and Dr. Hill is brilliant. He doesn't dumb things down for you (unless you ask him to) and I leave feeling like I truly got all the information I needed to understand how my senior cats are doing. He is up-front about the costs of things and is not looking to price gouge you. Even my poorly socialized cats cooperate for him! He knows just how to handle them. He knows cats. Issaquah cat clinic is the worst place to take your cat. Took our male cat in yesterday morning with apparent urinary tract issues. Left him all day after not being called back as promised, rushing to get there before closing time. Upon arrival, the vet said he didn't have lab results yet. Said he would call in the morning. After no call back by late morning I called. "The doctor is in with another cat, he will call you back". After 2 hours, I called and was told the doctor was gone for a home emergency and would call back upon return. Several hours later I called again and was told the doctor is in with a cat and will call back. My cat is suffering, and I can't even get a call. Stay away if you care about your pet Read Less

I absolutely love Dr. Hill and the entire staff! They are compassionate and funny, and it's clear every time we go in that they are genuinely happy to see our cats and catch up on how everyone is doing. We recently added two new kittens to our house, and everyone was not just excited to see the little ones, but they were all concerned about how well it older cat was adapting to them. They had great advice on the transition, and we were able to get them all living happily together in just over a week! Read Less

Dr. Hill is the best Doctor I have ever met. He is so compassionate, intellegent and has an amazing talent for diagnosing and understanding internal medicine. I had seen a few doctors before him and none of them were able to help my cat. He is also taught me about my cats health in a way that I understood!!!!. It is not often that you run across a vet that has such compassion and dedication for the care of his 4 legged furry patients! Dr. Hill is one of the best vets --not only does he care so much for the cats but his desire to educate the patient's owner is obviously a huge part of his practice. In addition, how many vets call you personally to discuss the problem and hopefully how to fix? I can't recall any andI over the past 6 months I have talked to him about problems with 2 different cats and each conversation was almost 20 minutes long--and no, I did not get charged extra for this! Dr. Hill and the staff at Cat Clinic of Issaquah are the best! My wife and I have been taking our cats there for about five years and they are thorough, thoughtful, and caring and have been especially attentive to our elderly cat. Dr. Hill is very knowledgeable and has found ways of treating the particular condition of our elderly cat when other vets have run out of options. Dr. Hill and his staff have not only provided standard care and boarding, but expert and compassionate diagnosis/treatment for serious illnesses and end-of-life care.
