Dr Laura George DVM and her husband Dr Nick George PhD, are a wonderful team, and their authenticity and excellent healing skills are badly needed in the pet health business. They took over Meadows Cat Hospital from Dr Laramore recently, and my cat, Fafnir, and I are so very grateful. Backtrack to 2010, when the previous vet (Laramore) had made a terrible mistake with Fafnir which almost cost us his life, affected my health, as well as a lot of money so we never went back, but about 6 months ago, Dr Laura and Nick took over the business, and when they went through the medical records of all the patients, they knew they had to do something to right the situation. (Their words to me; not mine.) They reached out to me, and asked if there was anything they could do to right the situation, despite the fact that they had nothing to do with Dr Laramore and weren't responsible for what had happened, they still wanted to make it up to us. As it happens, Fafnir was just diagnosed in November 2016 with small bowel lymphoma, and Dr Schreiner at Blue Pearl/ACCES was just about the only vet I had really trusted since the 2010 incident. Fafnir and I have seen Dr George twice in the last month, and we are so grateful for her expertise. They are helping me keep Fafnir's quality of life good, while he endures this fatal illness (which is inoperable). Last month was a free check up (one hour consult which was really helpful) and refills, and today, some weeks later, Fafnir got into a cat or raccoon fight, and was so whiney that I could barely touch him. It turned out to be a bad scratch on his back but Dr George and I both agreed he need to be sedated so he could actually be examined, and then administered medications as needed including pain meds (because of his bowel cancer, other types of pain are very bad). We also got a courtesy nail trim and fur groom! Fafnir is considered a VIP at Meadows, and gets amazing treatment, and the offer of free office visits plus discounted (at cost, I think) meds for the rest of his life. I can't thank them enough for coming to my aid at this time of our lives when Fafnir needs more veterinary attention, and I am too finding it stressful emotionally and financially. They really are angels in our lives when we need them, and I'm amazed that there are vets still out there with the outstanding ethics as well as excellent healing skills and bedside manner. To sum up, Fafnir and I have in the past, tried many other vets in the Issaquah, Redmond and Renton area, and Meadows Cat Hospital stands out radiantly amongst all others. They listen, they understand, they treat expertly, and they've gained my trust which is such a big deal. (I'm a Biologist so I tend to be very involved in knowing as much as I can to help take care of my beloved boy.) Thank you, Dr George and Nick _so much_ for all you've done. Fafnir is super grateful too, and we are looking into getting an electric fence to keep him safe in his garden from now on too. :) Read Less
