I'll keep it short. This doctor seems to have "good days" and "bad days". My niece brought her cat here in good faith on a recommendation from a close friend of mine. This man psychologically traumatized my niece's cat by aggressively gripping him by his scruff and yanking his ears back after no provocation from the feline who was coming out of sedation. Watch the treatment of your beloved pets closely, by anyone licensed or not. We will be driving all the way to Enumclaw to get proper care. Read Less

Finally found our family Veterinarian! Dr. Lee is amazing! Very straightforward. Very accommodating. Can always get us in right away. Most times same day. My dog is a bit of a spaz at the veterinarian office but, Dr. Lee and his staff always make us feel perfectly at home and at ease. They are so personable and so down to earth. They are great with my pets. The four times we've been to them have been great. I truly do not have one negative thing to say! We have been taking our puppy and 3 year old dog here for a few months now and are so happy we switched to a closer vet! Dr Lee is kind, patient, and very quick. Such a great pet clinic with a great staff. Everyone was very friendly and Dr. Lee was awesome. He took the time to talk to me personally before and after getting my chihuahua's teeth cleaned to make sure I was aware and comfortable with everything going on. I've heard horror stories about a couple places in the area pulling a lot of teeth without asking, even if the teeth weren't so bad. My dog had a couple teeth I was concerned about and Dr. Lee communicated about the process and was able to not pull out any of her teeth. The prices are reasonable and her cleaning was done so quickly! I felt my dog was really taken care of here and will definitely be coming back! Read Less

I have been in the Seattle area for three years and have not been able to find a veterinary clinic that I felt great taking my three Maltese dogs to, until now. My little guys all needed dental treatments and I was very wary of how much this would cost. My "free dental" included in Banfield Clinic"s Wellness Program ended up costing me $2,000 the year before last. Dr. Lee promised no hidden charges and he meant it. He took excellent care of my little guys and his fees matched his very reasonable estimate. I am very excited to have found such a kind and caring veterinarian and I will be taking the fellas here from now on. Dr. Jay Lee and his staff are absolutely fantastic! I would give this vet six stars if I could. I took my cat here for a much needed full mouth extraction and I could not be happier with the services and great care that they provided for me and my little guy. Their prices are very reasonable and even more importantly the level of care that they provide is absolutely outstanding. Great family owner place for your local veterinary needs. The place is perfect if you're looking for a veterinary to get things done without the fluff. Very reasonable price for the service. Must be because there's no fluff. Just in and out.Took my 9-week old kitten here for her visit. I had 2 cats serviced at banfield pet hospital before. I'd much rather take my kitten here. Three other vets misdiagnosed my cat's ear mites, but Dr Lee identified the problem almost immediately and sent me home with medication after cleaning her ears. Very friendly staff and everyone in the clinic manages to put both me and my pets at their ease. Dr.Lee is the best. He is very knowledgeable and loves animals. I moved to the area a little over a year ago and needed a Vet for my pups. I tried a few in the area and knew I found the one we would stay with here. Another plus is I leave not feeling nickled and dimed for every little thing, it's very fair pricing. After visiting blue pearl emergency room and no results I took my dog here hoping for results and not over priced to find the cure for her. She wasn't eating and very dehydrated. She under went blood work and x-days with no answer. Dr. Lee is patient and doesn't jump to worse case scenario. He immediately found out she had colitis and kept her overnight. Looking for a vet dentist in Renton and found this hospital on Yelp. Our dog Teddy lost a tooth couple days ago. We were worried he may have gun disease. Called the vet this morning, was told the first Counsultation is free. Got the appointment for the same day. The clinic is very clean. Dr Lee was very patient. After checking Teddy's teeth told me his teeth are good. Don't need cleaning till next year. I was very surprised that he didn't push for the cleaning as other vet would have done. The tooth Teddy lost was an useless tooth. Probably got infected when a string caught around. (The fallen tooth had a string on it. )I told him last week another vet have Teddy antibiotic for kennel cough. He said Teddy doesn't have kennel cough. He two medicine the other vet have me weren't necessary. I decided to switch vet right there and then. Asked Dr Lee to give Teddy his annual shots. Teddy got three shots and the entire visit cost me $45. The other vet charged me $140 and gave me medicines that's not needed. I will recommend this clinic to all my friends and relatives!! AMAZING. Dr Lee and his staff are always welcoming and caring for their pet patients and owners. They are thorough during appointments, they call when your pets are due for vaccinations and keep their patients updated on their pets!! I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to take ALL their pets here!! Two years ago, my dog got hit by a car and his eye ball came out. I arrived at the office completely hysterical and crying my eyes out. Dr Lee remained calm and took care of Max like it was his own pet. Till this day I am still so amazed of how well he took care of him in an emergent situation. I also take my dogs to get their teeth cleaned yearly with anesthesia. Dr Lee does a very thorough job and their teeth come out sparkly white!! This is an AMAZING place to take your fur babies!!! Dr Lee & his staff have been the most caring & efficient veterinary clinic in this area, ( we have been to 4 different clinics in the last 4 years trying to find an honest, knowledgeable vet that didn't over charge for the services.Our son found him by looking at reviews and took his lab in to see Dr Lee and was so impressed he recommended them.We took our 12 year old golden lab, with a big tumor on her side, fearing she would have to be put down. Dr Lee operated on her that afternoon. We took her home several hours later & today she had her stitches removed.Cancer is all gone & she is doing so well and half the price two other vets wanted to charge....and we could afford. When I immediately enter the building the establishment is very clean. They were also not very busy so after filling out my new client paperwork I was seen immediately. The receptionist was extremely nice and greeted me when I entered. Dr. Lee was very nice when he examined my cat for a check-up. I told him on my cat's existing issue with crystals in his urine and him permanently being on C/D but how he has been doing well on it without any complications. Even though I said this he proceeded to ask questions about his urinating and defecating this showed me that he really did care and wanted to make sure everything was in tip-top shape with my cat. He even informed me of issues that can also arise from using certain litters or issues some cats can have while on C/D. Everyone was very nice and I didn't get charged with an office visit since I was a new client. I will definitely be bringing my cat here if any issues arise with him. Very nice establishment. I am so incredibly grateful for Dr Lee and the Benson Animal Clinic. We moved here recently and needed a vaccination, got right in - very reason cost for the vaccination and no office charge because it was our first visit. Pretty cool I thought, then one morning my dog is limping and I sort of panic, but right off Dr. Lee had a good idea of what was going on, after some x-rays we had a good discussion about what choice we have and we can probably try something other than surgery. It went great for a couple of weeks then bam, my dog reinjuries himself. I called the clinic, they said we can come anytime; when we got there they did digital x-rays which allowed me to see with my own eyes what the vet was seeing that was of concern. My dog had surgery right then and was home that night. His recovery has been amazing, no doubt in a large part due to the talented hands and intellect of Dr Lee who performed the surgery. Follow visit very smooth. ALL of the staff- extremely friendly every single time. It's hard to say enough how grateful I am to them, but I give them my highest recommendation. The cost is very reasonable for the service as well but the most important thing is a very knowledgeable AND compassionate veterinarian for my dog. Read Less

I've known Dr. Lee for many years since he was working in CA. I referred many friends to him because he always took such good care of my 3 dogs, two toy poodles and one terrier mix. He is knowledgeable, honest and very good at what he does. He is able to do most surgeries faster than other vets for better price. I had all my dogs fixed and microchipped by him and he cared for all of them for regular visits and infections. He has done numerous extractions on my dogs for rotten teeth and clipped my toy poodles' tails when they were little. Once he fixed my 3 week old puppy's broken leg (my daughter accidentally dropped him) so easily I was amazed. Most importantly, I like his work ethic and intimate feeling of the office. You don't feel like you're being overcharged for poor quality service and you can tell he genuinely cares for your pets which is hard to see in other larger, commercial clinics. Read Less

The procedure done timely at a reasonable price.He mentioned he can crop dog ears as well because he saw our dog has cropped ears. I also switched from Banfield to Animal Clinic of Benson for the same reason. For the past five years or so I took my cat to Banfield for routine checks and dental cleaning, and firmly believed that I was getting the most reasonable treatment for my cat. When it turned out that my cat needed tooth extractions done, however, Banfield asked for a ridiculous amount of money even with the monthly premium I paid to them. They also said that this cost is subject to change (they would not give out the exact cost, saying that each extraction is different). Dismayed, I took my cat to Dr. Lee, where he was able to carry out the same operation with just 1/10th the cost! Unlike Banfield, Dr. Lee gave us the exact cost from the beginning, and kept his words. We saved thousands of dollars, not to mention that my cat fully regained his health within weeks time. My cat was died recently due to leukemia but I want to make sure Dr. Lee understand our gratitude for the service that he provided. We went to another vet near by and were treated terribly. We left and went to see Dr. Lee. To Sarah's comment below, he didn't ask our name, he didn't really greet us, but he valued our cat, he gave it the immediate attention that was need, he gave a thorough analysis of our cat and provide excellent care. He got our cat on an IV and got blood work done as quick as possible. He received the blood work back at 5:30 am on a Sunday and was alarmed by the results and rushed to his vet by 6:00 am to check on our cat and made the decision to put him down by 7:00 am as he was in pain and it was the right thing to do. I don't know of another Vet that would be there for our pet that early on a Sunday. As much as it was hard to lose our family member and pet, the service and love for animals that Dr Lee has lets you know that your pet had the BEST care possible. I will always bring my pets to him in the future. I would also like to point out that the receptionist was really friendly and sympathetic to our emergency and contributed to our bitter/sweet experience. Thank you Dr Lee. Read Less

Took Milo here for his second set of shots today! Dr. Lee is amazing. He's so nice, funny, and lighthearted. I was expecting Milo to cry which would lead me to feel very sad and guilty, but NONE of that happened. Dr. Lee had it all over before I even knew what was going on. Additionally, Dr. Lee answered all of my weird questions about Milo (he's been eating rocks lately, so I've been concerned....) and provided our first visit for free.
