I have been taking my old lady cat here since we moved back to Washington five years ago, and they are simply the best. The older she gets (she's 18 now!), the more care and attentiveness she needs, and they have helped me with every step along the way. All of the doctors, assistants and front desk staff are amazing, and make you and your fur child feel welcome. If you are looking for a vet in the Kent area, McMonigle is the best there is!

Excellent team of staff and doctors. Visits to the vet is traumatizing enough for my two cats but they. are friendly, attentive and very informative in answering what ever questions I have. Cost is slightly more expensive than other vets that I have been to but I believe it is worth it.
Parking lot is small. Location is on Central Avenue so making a left turn out of and into the location can be a slight challenge.

This vet over charged for shoddy work. They blamed my level of care which was pretty infuriating after weeks of very careful handling. Then, when I complained about the high price of repeated treatment due to their poor services, they tried to make me feel bad by saying that my pet is worth the cost. You can see this sentiment as a reply to another review here. I was willing to pay top dollar for a good vet, but that is not what I got.

If you're looking for a vet who truly cares about your 4 legged babies and your concerns, Dr. McMonigle and his staff are the people to go to!!! This is the vet we've used my entire life and the only vet I'll ever use! I love the front desk gals, they are the sweetest! The vet techs and assistants are just as awesome and very knowledgeable! How many people can say their dogs actually enjoy going to the vet? I can!!! Every time we are in the waiting room and Dr. Rob runs by, our girls howl at him & get alllll excited to see him hahaha he's the best! I feel that their prices are extremely fair too! No cost is too great for my babies health! They always work around my work schedule too. My 3rd Aussie is my first to be mutant/normal for MDR1 and I was a total wreck waiting for her spay to be done. They were nice enough to text and call me that she was okay and resting, that everything went just fine & they took extra special care of her. I trust them wholeheartedly with my furbabies! Thanks again Dr. M and Staff! You guys are THE best of the best!!!! :)

If all you need is routine care this is a fine vet. They can give a vaccination or send in bloodwork, but once you need something outside of the routine they will fail you. The only way we got our dog the treatment she needed was to change vets.
They do shoddy work and when it falls apart they will charge you for redoing their shoddy work. While nearly every vet will stand by their work and do reevaluations as part of the original charge, this vet charges you for every time you walk in the door. Even if that's to have the vet tech change a bandage.
Do yourself a favor and go to a different vet now. That way when your pet gets seriously ill you won't have to move to a new vet to save your pet's life.

I recently moved from West Seattle to the Kent area and needed a vet for my 13 yr old cat with renal issues. After reading several Yelp reviews on McMonigle I decided to try them out and I can say that I was not disappointed. The staff here is extremely empathetic, friendly and professional. I did not feel rushed or like I was interrupting my vet discussing my concerns and questions about my cats care and Dr. Rob was very thorough in answering my many questions. The front office staff is amazing as well. They are extremely responsive to calls and emails and go out of there way to make sure I get the prescriptions and items I need to care for my cat.They close promptly at 5:00pm during the week (which makes scheduling a bit challenging) but whenever I need anything they make sure I am able to get it the day I need it even if it is shortly after they clos

I am so thrilled I found McMonigle vet for my sweet pup, Bailey. We will be customers for life. Recently, Bailey had to have her teeth cleaned. I was beyond nervous to take her in but they made the experience painless and as anxiety free as possible! They answered all my questions beforehand and kept me updated on how she was doing. Most importantly, they were so sweet to Bailey. When I picked her up, they explained everything and gave great directions for aftercare. I trust them 100% to take care of my pup anytime I take her in. I would definitely recommend going here!!

This place is great. They will give you price estimates for labs/imaging/meds/procedures during your visit and the veterinarians will do a very thorough examination. Their staff are all very nice and professional. They also have hours in the morning on Saturdays and you can request appointments online. There is a decent amount of parking there as well.

Dr. Rob is so incredibly personable and responsive. We moved from NYC two years ago and we were so nervous about finding the right person to treat our four legged children. Although we have had to go to other specialists for treatment Dr. Robs team cannot provide, he stays connected with us and the specialists we visit to provide the best support he can. He always returns calls and talks through any anxiety or questions I have. We love Dr. Rob and his whole team. I cannot recommend him enough. I have never given a yelp recommendation. If you love your four legged friend and they are your children...take them here. Dr. Rob is amazing.

I've lived in Kent for over 2 decades, and it's unfortunate that I only found McMonigle Vet a few years back for my current Pekingese. Dr. Clark and Dr. Larson are amazing, as are the front desk staff and the techs. I witnessed a true emergency there yesterday when a pet was brought in (unexpectedly) not moving or responding in a towel by tearful owners. McMonigle staff immediately, quietly and without hesitation sprang into action to handle this. It was amazing to see, truly poetry in motion w/no fuss. They did all the right things, at the right times w/ease and calm. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They truly do follow what is in their literature - they treat every pet as one of their own, are always friendly, helpful and go to any and all lengths to assist me and my furbaby. You can tell who they are and what they stand for by just walking in the door. If you've not been there, I'd encourage you to give them a visit. You will NOT be disappointed. It's a no brainer why they've been voted The Best Vet in Kent for many many years. When people ask me for a vet recommendation in Kent, I tell them there are a lot who I would not recommend, but only ONE clinic that I do recommend..... I'm sure you can guess who that is.

When my cat got sick, I took the recommendation from a friend to visit McMonigle vet. Distraught, I took Miss Daisy there because McMonigle happens to be the closest clinic to my house. I was warned that they are a bit more pricey than other vet clinics in the area. This is true, but I feel the cost is equivalent to the high level of care I received there. I saw Dr. Sandy Larson on my first visit, and I really liked him. Professional, warm, and happy to educate me on treatment options. The next few times I've visited, I saw Dr. Ali Clark. I truly feel that she went above and beyond the typical treatment. I remember her noticing that Miss Daisy was extremely distressed at being carted to the animal hospital, and her treatment remained cognizant with minimizing that. I have also called the office staff numerous times on questions about flea control, and new puppy procedure questions. They are always professional. I've cut my Starbucks habit to be able to accomodate my pet's good health, and I'm rewarded ten fold for that. Please consider McMonigle vet for your fur babies. I just love them!

We have been going to McMonigle Vet for years with multiple pets over 9 years+. I'm giving them 2* for price but 5* for vet service. The vets are professional & friendly especially Dr. Clark. Love her! The front desk people are friendly 80% of times except they don't like it when I ask about the charges. I'm giving 3* overall because of their price. They seems to increase their price every time I go in. Always a price shock when it's time to pay up front. During the exam they don't let you know what every little thing they are doing is more $. I just went in when my dog tore her dew claw. We got in the same day which was great. Treatment that day was $131 which did include 2 medications. Follow up costs me another $37 which was bandages cut off & "recheck" the paw which took total of 3 minutes. I'm willing to pay a little more for superior service but not so much more than everyone around the area. I may go elsewhere in the future even if I have to drive 20 minutes longer. I don't know how other clients can afford them. Right now instead I go to Reber Ranch Vet every month or so for nail trim & anal gland for $25 (instead of paying $46 at McMonigle).

McMonigle Veterinary Hospital is a true gem!! All of the staff are caring, kind, professional and seem like REAL animal people. Dr. Larsen is amazing!! Instead of putting me off like other Vets did, Dr. Larsen took the time to really focus on the symptoms I was detailing to him (even if it was repetitive). To my dismay, he then referred me to a specialist...none of the other Vets even suggested I have a second opinion, so even though I was upset, it was nice to know I finally had someone in mine and Ivory's corner. Come to find out Ivory was diagnosed with a serious stomach disorder and Dr. Larsen was really the man that led to finding out what was really wrong. Ivory and I are truly grateful for Dr. Larsen and the McMonigle team! Please know you are appreciated!!

SO GLAD WE FOUND THEM! Recently relocated to the area. We always worry about trying to find a good vet for our two dogs and cats. I went here based on the web reviews & feel like we found our vet. Our dog was having some serious health issues and they took us in right away without an appointment. The Dr. was genuinely concerned about our dog & took the time to thoroughly check him out. I felt like they really cared about our dog and that has earned my loyalty. I absolutely recommend them.

Excellent team of staff and doctors. Visits to the vet is traumatizing enough for my two cats but they. are friendly, attentive and very informative in answering what ever questions I have. Cost is slightly more expensive than other vets that I have been to but I believe it is worth it.
Parking lot is small. Location is on Central Avenue so making a left turn out of and into the location can be a slight challenge.

Then, when I complained about the high price of repeated treatment due to their poor services, they tried to make me feel bad by saying that my pet is worth the cost. You can see this sentiment as a reply to another review here. I was willing to pay top dollar for a good vet, but that is not what I got.

If you're looking for a vet who truly cares about your 4 legged babies and your concerns, Dr. McMonigle and his staff are the people to go to!!! This is the vet we've used my entire life and the only vet I'll ever use! I love the front desk gals, they are the sweetest! The vet techs and assistants are just as awesome and very knowledgeable! How many people can say their dogs actually enjoy going to the vet? I can!!! Every time we are in the waiting room and Dr. Rob runs by, our girls howl at him & get alllll excited to see him hahaha he's the best! I feel that their prices are extremely fair too! No cost is too great for my babies health! They always work around my work schedule too. My 3rd Aussie is my first to be mutant/normal for MDR1 and I was a total wreck waiting for her spay to be done. They were nice enough to text and call me that she was okay and resting, that everything went just fine & they took extra special care of her. I trust them wholeheartedly with my furbabies! If all you need is routine care this is a fine vet. They can give a vaccination or send in bloodwork, but once you need something outside of the routine they will fail you. The only way we got our dog the treatment she needed was to change vets.
They do shoddy work and when it falls apart they will charge you for redoing their shoddy work. While nearly every vet will stand by their work and do reevaluations as part of the original charge, this vet charges you for every time you walk in the door. Even if that's to have the vet tech change a bandage.
Do yourself a favor and go to a different vet now. That way when your pet gets seriously ill you won't have to move to a new vet to save your pet's life.

I recently moved from West Seattle to the Kent area and needed a vet for my 13 yr old cat with renal issues. After reading several Yelp reviews on McMonigle I decided to try them out and I can say that I was not disappointed. The staff here is extremely empathetic, friendly and professional. I did not feel rushed or like I was interrupting my vet discussing my concerns and questions about my cats care and Dr. Rob was very thorough in answering my many questions. The front office staff is amazing as well. They are extremely responsive to calls and emails and go out of there way to make sure I get the prescriptions and items I need to care for my cat.They close promptly at 5:00pm during the week (which makes scheduling a bit challenging) but whenever I need anything they make sure I am able to get it the day I need it even if it is shortly after they clos

I am so thrilled I found McMonigle vet for my sweet pup, Bailey. We will be customers for life. Recently, Bailey had to have her teeth cleaned. I was beyond nervous to take her in but they made the experience painless and as anxiety free as possible! They answered all my questions beforehand and kept me updated on how she was doing. Most importantly, they were so sweet to Bailey. When I picked her up, they explained everything and gave great directions for aftercare. I trust them 100% to take care of my pup anytime I take her in. I would definitely recommend going here!!

This place is great. They will give you price estimates for labs/imaging/meds/procedures during your visit and the veterinarians will do a very thorough examination. Their staff are all very nice and professional. They also have hours in the morning on Saturdays and you can request appointments online. There is a decent amount of parking there as well.

Dr. Rob is so incredibly personable and responsive. We moved from NYC two years ago and we were so nervous about finding the right person to treat our four legged children. Although we have had to go to other specialists for treatment Dr. Robs team cannot provide, he stays connected with us and the specialists we visit to provide the best support he can. He always returns calls and talks through any anxiety or questions I have. We love Dr. Rob and his whole team. I cannot recommend him enough. I have never given a yelp recommendation. If you love your four legged friend and they are your children...take them here. Dr. Rob is amazing.

I've lived in Kent for over 2 decades, and it's unfortunate that I only found McMonigle Vet a few years back for my current Pekingese. Dr. Clark and Dr. Larson are amazing, as are the front desk staff and the techs. I witnessed a true emergency there yesterday when a pet was brought in (unexpectedly) not moving or responding in a towel by tearful owners. McMonigle staff immediately, quietly and without hesitation sprang into action to handle this. It was amazing to see, truly poetry in motion w/no fuss. They did all the right things, at the right times w/ease and calm. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They truly do follow what is in their literature - they treat every pet as one of their own, are always friendly, helpful and go to any and all lengths to assist me and my furbaby. You can tell who they are and what they stand for by just walking in the door. If you've not been there, I'd encourage you to give them a visit. You will NOT be disappointed. It's a no brainer why they've been voted The Best Vet in Kent for many many years. When people ask me for a vet recommendation in Kent, I tell them there are a lot who I would not recommend, but only ONE clinic that I do recommend..... I'm sure you can guess who that is.

When my cat got sick, I took the recommendation from a friend to visit McMonigle vet. Distraught, I took Miss Daisy there because McMonigle happens to be the closest clinic to my house. I was warned that they are a bit more pricey than other vet clinics in the area. This is true, but I feel the cost is equivalent to the high level of care I received there. I saw Dr. Sandy Larson on my first visit, and I really liked him. Professional, warm, and happy to educate me on treatment options. The next few times I've visited, I saw Dr. Ali Clark. I truly feel that she went above and beyond the typical treatment. I remember her noticing that Miss Daisy was extremely distressed at being carted to the animal hospital, and her treatment remained cognizant with minimizing that. I have also called the office staff numerous times on questions about flea control, and new puppy procedure questions. They are always professional. I've cut my Starbucks habit to be able to accomodate my pet's good health, and I'm rewarded ten fold for that. Please consider McMonigle vet for your fur babies. I just love them!

We have been going to McMonigle Vet for years with multiple pets over 9 years+. I'm giving them 2* for price but 5* for vet service. The vets are professional & friendly especially Dr. Clark. Love her! The front desk people are friendly 80% of times except they don't like it when I ask about the charges. I'm giving 3* overall because of their price. They seems to increase their price every time I go in. Always a price shock when it's time to pay up front. During the exam they don't let you know what every little thing they are doing is more $. I just went in when my dog tore her dew claw. We got in the same day which was great. Treatment that day was $131 which did include 2 medications. Follow up costs me another $37 which was bandages cut off & "recheck" the paw which took total of 3 minutes. I'm willing to pay a little more for superior service but not so much more than everyone around the area. I may go elsewhere in the future even if I have to drive 20 minutes longer. I don't know how other clients can afford them. Right now instead I go to Reber Ranch Vet every month or so for nail trim & anal gland for $25 (instead of paying $46 at McMonigle).

McMonigle Veterinary Hospital is a true gem!! All of the staff are caring, kind, professional and seem like REAL animal people. Dr. Larsen is amazing!! Instead of putting me off like other Vets did, Dr. Larsen took the time to really focus on the symptoms I was detailing to him (even if it was repetitive). To my dismay, he then referred me to a specialist...none of the other Vets even suggested I have a second opinion, so even though I was upset, it was nice to know I finally had someone in mine and Ivory's corner. Come to find out Ivory was diagnosed with a serious stomach disorder and Dr. Larsen was really the man that led to finding out what was really wrong. Ivory and I are truly grateful for Dr. Larsen and the McMonigle team! Please know you are appreciated!!

SO GLAD WE FOUND THEM! Recently relocated to the area. We always worry about trying to find a good vet for our two dogs and cats. I went here based on the web reviews & feel like we found our vet. Our dog was having some serious health issues and they took us in right away without an appointment. The Dr. was genuinely concerned about our dog & took the time to thoroughly check him out. I felt like they really cared about our dog and that has earned my loyalty. I absolutely recommend them.
