I have been utilizing the Kent facility for my pet’s needs for 3 years now. I have 2 pit bull mixes who were/are treated fantastically - from the very first appointment to present. Annie and AJ get their immunizations (I like the reminders I receive in the mail), lab work, meds and nails trimmed (which are done without hesitation and AJ hates it but will tolerate it because the staff know what they are doing.) Price is also a factor in my returned visits and the staff will itemize your invoices for current and future care for your review and consideration. They are great in their willingness to assist, their knowledge and their compassion. Honestly, on some visits, you might have a little bit of a waiting period in order to be seen (since it’s first come, first serve and it is dependant on volume/time of day of your arrival) but I will patiently wait to ensure proper, quality care for my babies. We took our beloved Akita to this clinic when he was on his death bed.  He has never been to a vet before this.  They were kind, loving, gentle and knowledgable.  We did have to put our dog down and they were so  empathetic and good to us; it was quite comforting having a Dr and staff care as much as they did.  We took him in during one of the Seattle snow storms.  Every Vet was closed except this place.  They were busy when we got there but still professional and just great. Only complaint is their min. cost for Meds.  You are better off getting a hand written prescriptionand going to Walmart to have it filled.  Value Pet charges around $17.00 and Walmart charges$4.00.  Value Pet Clinic wanted to charge me $17.00 for (9) pills that I normally get for 18 cents for (9).  I only needed 9 pills to hold me over until my order of 360 pills arrived at a total cost of $7.20.  I explained this to the staff but they said that is what they charge and they could not change it.  If I was the manager, I would have said, "thanks for your business, take these 9 pills (worth 18 cents) and be sure to tell your friends about us.  Instead they made a customer mad. My husband and I have taken 3 cats and a puppy to this Value Pet location over the course of the last 5 years, for everything for routine vaccines to emergency stitches and deworming. Value Pet Clinic have been nothing but awesome every time - it's true that, being a walk-in clinic, you can expect to wait upwards of an hour to see the vet. But if you are able to plan your visit for a morning or a weekday the wait time is much less. The benefit is (even if yoube had to wait in the office) you can count on exceptional vet services availabe whenever you need them and super friendly knowledgeable staff, who are willing to work with you for what your personal budget is. On our most recent visit they were able to cut our bill in less then HALF when we explained how we'd have trouble affording the bill with our current budget, but that we would be willing to perform part of the procedure at home. Any other vet office would've charged 3 times the price and would never have been willing or able to help us out by adjusting the bill. They can count on our continued loyalty for as long as we have our pets and are in the area - they've earned it! Read Less

This is my experience. My big orange fluffy cat named "Scoop" was brought into value pet clinic due to being found lethargic and nearly unresponsive. The vet Dr.Giovanna Coto ran ran blood work and test. Come to find out my baby was completely blocked. They wrote up an estimate and led us to believe that if we had the procedure done, scoop would be better. Needless to say the procedure was a total of $1204.53. A huge amount and a very big deal. We ended up having the procedure done. Afterwards upon pickup I find out that while yes, he is doing better then before. He is still critical. After hearing this they were still sending him home with me. Expected me to feed him medicine that has to be given with food. My question is how do I get food down a cat who is barley moving? And it has to be given every 12 hours! Then she told me that I would need to bring him in everyday from 9am when they open. Until 4:30pm when they close. For "day hospitalization" . This frightened me quite alot. The question racing thru my head "why is it that he is so critical and they want me to bring him back everyday for iv fluids and to be monitored. Yet they are sending him home with me?" After her telling me all of this. I'm in shock. I didn't know what to say. At that point we had already dove in and had the procedure done so I guess I had no choice now. when the tech brings Scoop out from the back. She handed him to me in his cat crate. It had a bloody IV bag and line with catheter hanging out. They said keep him confined. Yet couldn't figure out how to latch the front properly...not that hard.... She continued to tell me that I needed to keep him elevated and the bag hanging below him. Ok.....? At the same time keep him confined, feed the food, give him medicine and oh yeah keep an e collar on him so he doesn't pull the catheter out.A. He couldn't have the e collar on in the cat crate because it wouldn't fit.B. How do I get him to eat? He is barley moving...yet its critical he takes his medicine. Which BTW is in powder form and also a tablet. But I cant give it to him unless he eats.C. He managed to open his crate since it wasn't latched. How do I get him back in without causing him to freak out? Didn't work. He layed on the bathroom floor because he was getting so worked up. I couldn't muster up enough strength to keep causing him pain by putting him bath in his crate. After all this it is now 4am and I went to check on him. He died. My question is...what ethical vet is more worried about the money then the will of the pet... She should have stressed to us how much pain this would have caused him. Its just not right! My poor scoop. The money is beside the point now. Its just upsetting how much they put him thru, for what? Turns out nothing. After talking to a few other vets they would have recommended puttin him down as he was to far gone. But value pet clinic is more worried about the money they were making then having any sort of concern for my animal. My advice, don't use them. At this point I have a dead cat and a bill for $1200. I'm so upset and can't stop crying. Please think before you use them.. Read Less

Took my pets here for years but stopped due to wait times being up to 2 hours long, lack of organization and a few bad attitudes at the front counter and even more wait time when billing out.  No streamlined process once you've seen the vet.  You sit and wait even longer to pay your bill and more times than not have to remind them you are ready to bill out. More importantly the different veterinarians you may see each time seem to be drastically up charging for unnecessary tests and procedures.  Not all of them do this but generally it's often the case.My final visit there came at the end of 2014 when I went in for an expensive refill for my dog. I can't tell you why but for some reason I decided to count the pills this time. To my surprise I was actually shorted 13 pills from the 120.  I was floored and immediately brought the prescription back to correct the matter.  They seemed shocked as well and gave me the missing 13 pills.  However, I left knowing I would never return to this vet clinic because who ever is filling their scripts in the back is pulling some funny stuff.  Whether they are aware or not it's happening and should be stopped.I believe the owner who originally opened this place with the intent of offering lower cost veterinary care would be disappointed to know this particular location has gone down hill from what it was meant to be for the community as a lower cost option for pet owners.   The up charging, extra ordinary wait times before and after seeing the vet and the questionable practices that the owner may or may not be aware of made me look across the street for my vet care and couldn't be happier with the change.  I hope my review is helpful.  It's not meant to be anything but based on my own experiences at the Kent location and to advise that you have the vet explain why your pet needs so many procedures and if anything prompt you to get a second opinion if you can afford it. When the assistant came to get him he hissed and the claws came out so I said I would rather stay with my cat and keep him calm. The assistant didn't seem to get it. Finally, I took my cat and walked out! I went across the street to "A Pet Clinic of Kent" next to 24 hour fitness and went in and asked if they could see my cat today. They said sure bring him in. Took my dog here to get a spading. She ended up having complications and later died at this facility. The part that made this a horrible experience is the fact that they made my mom wait in the waiting room for over an hour without telling her what was going on. They then charged 400 dollars more than originally quoted and killed my dog. Highly recommend going somewhere else. Read Less

Keep in mind, I had just paid them $200.00 for an exam and Blood tests. Read Less

I won't be back. The doctor was nice as was the staff and I was originally ok with them taking my cat in the back to give him shots and aspirate a lump on his side. Doctor Nagra and his assistant were nice, knowledgeable and took great care of my cat! I would NOT recommend "Value Pet Clinic!" They seem just too overwhelmed to provide individualized service!Read Less
