Vca Kent Animal Hospital

Kent, Washington
General Info
Kent's VCA Kent Animal Hospital delivers veterinary care through a sensory-guided map which begins at comfort entry zones and progresses into diagnostic depths for Washington's pets. Every session starts with perimeter awareness by observing how pets explore the space, noting which areas they shun and how swiftly they adjust their movement speed. The clinic team initiates interaction by assessing body-system cues starting with fur density and external touch tolerance which then progresses to evaluations of oral health, joint range, and abdominal flexibility. The system gives equal importance to owner observations such as the animal's recent stair stalling and altered sleeping positions along with changes in object guarding behavior and shifts in household interaction timing. VCA Kent Animal Hospital delivers medical mapping services which encompass orthopedic planning alongside cardiovascular listening and hydration tracking while providing dermatological checks and immune calibration with energy-rest cycles. Healthcare procedures follow organized structures that ensure recovery periods are respected by splitting even short diagnostic steps to avoid cumulative stress. The adjustments of noise levels, scent layering, and personnel proximity depend on how the animal reacts to each specific threshold. Post-care recommendations depend on behavioral landmarks including the time pets take to return to baseline their chosen refuge spots within the house and the resumption or stalling of social cues. Support persists by means of visual touchpoint logs combined with optional sensory behavior debriefs. VCA Kent Animal Hospital delivers veterinary services to Kent and surrounding Washington areas by interpreting pet signals throughout their visit as a movement-based journey—every room, posture, and pause included.

I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that it takes them a week (or more) to return calls regarding questions about my pets. That being said, they are caring and treat their patients (furrbabies) with care and respect. Even at the end of their lives. The office staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. They are a very clean and organized clinic so it is assuring that my pets get the best possible care. Read Less

The entire team at VCA Kent has gone above and beyond for us and our dog. They obviously care about their patients and do whatever possible to make things fair for their customers. They have earned our loyalty. Check out their Care Club program - it's saved us quite a bit of money and it is a lot easier to deal with a monthly payment then a lump sum up front. The staff (Jessica, Angelica), Dr. Velandi and the Office Manager, Kristen are all wonderful! Read Less

Said my dog needed a cast and to stay off it for 8 weeks because he “fractured” something. They didn’t even secure it properly. It ended up coming off the next day because he moves in his sleep. They charged me $600 to put a cast on him that I could have done at home for way less. Meanwhile my dog is walking on his legs slightly normally after only a few days. The staff there was super nice tho. They expected him to just lounge around all day which is what we tried to do, he likes to walk around he’s not old he’s active. Read Less

It is an overall nice place and the staff are friendly. My gripe is that they are trying to charge people $350 for preventive heart worm medicine for 1 year. You can buy a 12 pack of heartgard for $80(which is still expensive for 12 pills IMO, but I digress). I don't think it's appropriate to take advantage of people trying to look after their pets. Amazing experience, loved how open our vet was and how much time she spent with us on counseling and advice. Her expertise and ability to communicate that to us was incredible, and completely resolved my previous misgivings with veterinary care (my most recent negative experience was with the VCA in Puyallup). I would recommend this facility to ALL of my friends and neighbors in the area with pets! Thanks, VCA Kent!! Read Less

I have a Dog and had a Cat. I have been going to this vet clinic for 5+ years and they have been great with us even when I have to bring my 2 little kids with me. My Cat was sick last month and I had to make the choice to put her down or run tests and such. They were very comforting to me explaining my options and costs up front. We ended up having to put her down. They were so great with us giving the time we needed to be with cat. They made us a plaque with her paw prints and decorated it with her name and a Princess crown! My daughter and whole family love having this to remember her by. As if this all isn't enough with in 2 days of putting her down we recieved a Sympathy card in the mail and they all signed it. They didn't just sign there name they took the time each one of them to write to us about how sorry they are for us and how great princess was. I was so moved and touched by this!
