I love the team at My Pet's (super nice people, hence 3 stars) and I've been using this Clinic for 15 years but I am SO disappointed from my last visit.  DO NOT BUY YOUR SHAMPOOS, EAR FLUSH OR CREAMS FROM THEM! I just went onto Amazon to discover that, for Phytovet Shampoo and Ket Flush alone the clinic charged me FIFTY THREE DOLLARS MORE than I should have paid.  Yup: The same shampoo I paid $39.98 + tax for at My Pet's retails for $24.95 on Amazon and the ear flush that I paid $54.23 + tax for retails for just $25.00 on Amazon.  Also, they separated the "office call/exam" fee from the "microscopic exam" fee so I could pay TWO fees ($25 & $46).  What the heck?!I realize that clinics need to mark up their products and that services should alway have fees but wow, my Frenchie received ten minutes of service and I walked out with a small plastic bag of goodies for three hundred and two dollars... (and this didn't even include the cost of the prescription!)    People: There's profit and then there's gouging.... don't hesitate to shop around before simply saying yes to all the products they will set in front of you and "prescribe".... I would have saved nearly $100.00 by just slowing down and shopping around. Read Less

This place is the best! There is a bit of a wait for the walk-ins but its worth the price and the care! They are just as good as any high level vet but they understand how costly it can be to have a pet and their main concern is their health. Which I absolutely love! I've been a client of this establishment for almost 15 years. All my pets and my clients pets go there. I will remain a client for as long as I have pets. They don't overcharge for their services. Great place if all you want or need is vacinations, spay or neuter. As they are cheap. If you have a sick pet dont waste your time. They will leave you waiting for an hour to tell you we are not able to help you and then charge you for it. Read Less

Oh my God! are you guys kidding? how come this place got only three star reviews? this place is amazing! I had to spay my seven months kitty, I was calling and checking other vets and price range was starting from 300 and up. One of my friend recommended this place. I checked reviews on yelp and saw three stars so I was hesitating to go but I decided to give it a try. I was so nervous and worried about surgery but the lady at the front desk she was amazing so I thought my cat is under trusted hands. When I came to pick up my kitty she was already wake up. it's been two weeks, she's doing a really good even first day she was doing great job. Love this place for my cats and I like their no appointment needed policy, but then again I don't work so if I have to spend an hour waiting for my turn, I don't mind. I've liked all the vet techs we've worked with. I dinged my review one star because while I was checking in two front desk workers were bickering back and forth and you could cut the tension with a knife in there. The gal with red dyed hair was relentless and just rude to the other worker. Really unprofessional and in poor taste. They are great with the basics, and it is clear they LOVE animals. I love they don't charge for an office visit if you need vaccinations.  Make sure you get quotes before surgeries sometimes the vets can get carried away.  I had given a limit and they exceeded it for a dental appointment and I had to pay for the majority of it.  I have 3 animals so it can get very expensive.  Other than that one time they have been very good and I have used them for almost 10 years. So, I was a L.V.T. (Licensed vet tech) and practiced in the industry for over 10 years prior to helping populate the world and becoming a stay at home mom. My previous employer had taught me that compassion aside, MONEY always comes first in the veterinary field. When our 7 months old Labrabull (Labrador and pitbull mixed) started humping the cat's bed on a nightly basis, it becomes apparent that "The Cone Of Shame" will to be his destiny...and the search for a "Dr. To Have That Honor" began. His regular vet since he was an 8 weeks old puppy whom to date, I have many differences with (Hey now, remember I was trained to be a KNOW IT ALL SNOBBY TECH ;) quoted $460 which includes mandatory pre-anesthetic blood panel, IV catheter placement, procedure itself and every 5 minutes monitoring. Ummm, excuse me, what do you do between those 1-4 mins? Shouldn't my "baby" be constantly monitored?" Needless to say, I shopped around and another vet quoted $760.00 *if* he is not yet mature  or another $50-$60 additional fee. Errr, I just described to you almost graphically how he humps the cat's bed. As much as it tempts me to no end going to a new veterinary clinic and brag to the "newbies" of my now well dusted L.V.T. credential, reality hit that I have 2 two legged children to see through colleges... his regular vet it is then, swallow my pride, my disagreement and $460 it will be.Then, my partner told me about this place, "it's cheap" - he said! OH HE!! HATH NO FURY! Cheap is not good in this industry, remember it's all about MONEY! I am not about to take my baby's only set of testicles to some strip mall vet and be experiment! First thing first, yelp - SEE I TOLD YOU SO! Negative reviews!  Then, I went on their website, not much to pick on there. I decided to give them a call, just so I can give my partner a lecture of how bad they already are on the phone... I questioned about the credentials of the veterinarians there! Fresh out of med school, trying to build their spay/neuter quota? Well, their receptionist Ms. Gypsy proved me wrong! She was very polite and competent and the cost $110! No, no pre-anesthetic bloodwork (optional), no IV Catheter - not necessary, unless the team planed on sitting there and do a lecture on my boy's scrotum, neutering is a snip snip, placing IV cath takes way longer and more stress on the critter - my words, not hers. And so reluctantly and with a heavy heart, I scheduled the appointment and the boy was "snipped" yesterday...Just got a post operative call from the clinic and I feel like I owe it to them to write this yelp review. The clinic is clean, the techs are knowledgeable, competent, friendly and compassionate. They do not thrive on making a fortune out of flea control medications, the tech told me to go shop online and let them know when I find the best price so they can authorized the prescription. She even gave me the names of the reputable online pharmacy. The total cost with 3 elective procedures (micro-chip, pre-anesthetic blood penal, heart worm test) $254.22! I believe the owner (Dr. Selma Sholes) is one of the few veterinarian that truly abide by her oath..." As a member of the veterinary medical profession, I solemnly swear that I will use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society.I will strive to promote animal health and welfare, relieve animal suffering, protect the health of the public and environment, and advance comparative medical knowledge.I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics.I will strive continuously to improve my professional knowledge and competence and to maintain the highest professional and ethical standards for myself and the profession."*only* suggestion will be to actually have meet the veterinarian performing the surgery and not just the tech.P.S. Elliot did fluffers dental work. He was amazing! I hadn't brought Fluffer in for a while for a dental cleaning and they originally estimated that they were going to have to pull 8 of his teeth. Elliot assured me upon check-in that he would only pull what was necessary, and would check to see after doing a thoughrough cleaning. In the end he ended up only having to pull 1! The staff here is great! They care about every animal, and really try to make it easy for you. They seem to understand that everyone brings their animal in thinking it is the most important animal in the world, and are good about making you feel welcome and comfortable. I have been taking my dog (wire fox terrier, now 12-1/2 years old) to My Pet's Vet Clinic for about 10 years and can't say enough good things about them! I highly recommend them!! Read Less

This vet clinic is absolutely amazing. Needed to get my dogs teeth cleaned and they had the best pricing by far so l drove down from Lake Stevens. 100% worth it!! They explain everything from the procedures to breaking down the pricing. My dog is a rescue and can be very timid but they took their time to get him to warm up. I could not be more thankful for these ladies! I've taken all my pets here for something or another and they are always fast, sweet, super helpful and professional! Sadly what really made me compelled to write a review was that I bought a very sick puppy from a breeder (without knowing), I came into the office multiple times during that week before the pup passed away and I was well taken care of. Once they let me know how sick the puppy was, I cried harder than I had in a long time and they took great care of the puppy and myself. Unfortunately after a lot of intense care, the puppy didn't make it.. But a week after her death, I received a personalized card with notes from everyone at the clinic. That gesture was so thoughtful and kind, I almost have no words! It really showed me how much they care and do really empathize my pain! I am a Yorkshire Terrier breeder and I went to my pants last year to have my fifteen-year-old Bella put to sleep from old age. They were compassionate, patient, and for the for euthanasia it was only $15. We took her body home with us to bury and two days later I got a beautiful card in the mail that had been signed by the entire staff. I was so impressed and so touched by the amazing vets and staff and the prices are the absolute best. I am now taking my newborn letters to have their tails docked and dew claws removed and to get vaccinations for rabies for all of my brood of Yorkies. Read Less

I cant go on to tell you how much I LOVE this entire staff. Not only are they friendly and upbeat when you walk in the door, they genuinely care about your pets. Dr. Schulz doesn't press for extra procedures and medications and the techs understand when you have a difficult dog like me. I have a dog aggressive pitbull who has needed check ups and visits here and there. They are so accommodating to his unique needs and move slow with him. I just visited My Pets Vet Clinic to get my dog his booster immunizations and Bordetella that he needed so he could go to Dog Camp. All the staff were very friendly, helpful, and patient with me as I asked them a dozen questions. Even though the office had quite a few customers, I never felt like the staff was frazzled, and I never felt rushed. Even as a walk-in, I was able to be in and out in just over 30 minutes. I've been taking my pets (dogs and cats) to this clinic for the past 10+ years.  I am not always diligent in ensuring up-to-date pet vet visit, but when I need to (routine or emergency), I can always count on them to fit me in right away.  I recently had my standard poodle neutered, they did a great job and I got a phone call the following day to follow up on how he's doing.  Maybe it's standard practice for vet clinics to call/follow up after surgery but the way they do it really makes you (your pet, that is) feel special and cared for.  Their prices are reasonable, staff are friendly and service is always great. I called for a vet clinic nearby me. the clinic was walk in first come first served which was nice! I had to get my baby puppy her vaccinated. They were real fast! I like that. The lobby was clean. They had a tv on the wall to watch and learn about microchip your pets. The staff loved my puppy as she was so tiny and cute! After taking my kitty Cosmo to another clinic since they were open on a Sunday, since I was concerned about him being sick, I have to say hands down I should have waited until Monday and just went to these guys and saved myself time and money. Found out my little man was dehydrated and had an issue in his mouth but they were kind and helpful trying to find a way to get him hydrated so he could get better. This will definitely be Mr. Cosmo's permanent vet cuz I was way more impressed with their way of handling things than the other vet I tried. You guys seriously rock!!!!! For years I've received nothing but excellent care for my dogs at My Pets Vet Clinic. For the posts complaining about wait times, of course a wait is expected -- it's a drop-in clinic. If you can gauge your visit at late morning etc. your wait is minimal. I've found the entire staff very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. And their business practices have been excellent. I have been going to this vet since it was originally Vets for Less and wouldn't take my cats or any pet anywhere else. They are subpurb facility, staff is the best. They feel like family and treat your animal as if their own. Prices are very reasonable. Would recommend as I already had to my sister in Seattle who took her very old cat there. Unfortunately it was a sad day for her as she had to say goodbye to her cat. She received a card in the mail later with all the staff writing on it and there were her cats paw prints, a very special remembrance to keep. They did the same with my old cat Squeaker. Read Less

I have taken my Husky, Kiba here since he was a pup, we don't go often but when he needs shots or has a problem we usually get right in. Kiba is a very shy dog and does not like people he doesn't know to touch him (it's like he thinks they are going to steel his fur or something), however, when we bring him here he doesn't have a problem letting the vet or the assistants do what they need to do. And for me, that says a lot about them, that he can trust them to touch his oh so precious fur hahaI have never had an issue with this vet, and they have always been friendly and handle my Kiba with care :-) Read Less

If I could give this vet clinic negative stars, they'd get -10. I brought my cat in to check on an ear discharge which was diagnosed by this clinic as an infection caused by ear mites and given some kind of cleaner to keep the ears clean. The discharge never went away, though, and I got a reference to an excellent vet, so I took him there instead. It was actually caused by lesions in the ear bursting and then draining. Not only a misdiagnosis, but the ""treatment"" they prescribed was actually causing him incredible pain. The vet also missed a lump in his tyroid gland, which thankfully turned out to be benign when it was removed. FINALLY: they gave him a Rabies vaccine which has a carcinogenic agent in it and my cat has been fighting cancer due to this injection for the past 2 years because of it. I can't say it strongly enough: IT'S SAFER TO WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO TAKE YOUR PETS TO A DECENT VET THAN TAKE THEM TO THIS CLINIC. Read Less

I took my cat to be spayed the other day. She went through the surgery just fine. Then, 4 days later...she stopped eating and drinking completely. I didn't know what's going on so I took her back to them. I brought her in the morning, but nobody took a look at her until late in the afternoon. I had to call them twice! Then, they told me we don't know either. I took her to a different vet the next day and they confirmed that she picked up a viral infection when she was spayed.. I guess they did not want to admit that when i took her there. The expenses that I had to pay because of this were a lot more than the cost of the surgery. I should have taken her to a better place. My wife and I have been going there even back when it was Vets for Less. It changed ownership quite some time back and became My Pets Vet. We breed and show purebreed Abyssinian cats. In all the years, we have had good service and no problems but one. That one was made good. Like many places that provide services, the clients need to ask questions and understand fully what to expect. Human doctors, vets, mechanics, they are all human, and do the best they can. I feel the people here do care a lot, and are also busy and professional about every detail. I will continue to use their services as one of my vet clinics. Gary Read Less

I was a customer for years....bringing my 2 cats and 1 dog here. I brought my dog in for a routine dental cleaning. When I picked her up, they told me everything had 'gone fine'. I noticed she had vomit all over her. When I got her home, I called and asked why nobody had told me? Why wouldn't they take the time and have the decency to point out that she had gotten sick!?!?!? This led me to believe she was left unattended for a long enough period of time that it went unnoticed, and nobody bothered to clean her off when they did finally get her out!!!! I was VERY upset-to say the least!!!! I wrote a VERY long letter to the 'manager' explaining my extreme dis-satisfaction, and all I received were my dogs full medical records (which I requested) and a letter saying (in so many words) ""sorry we lost your business!!!!!!!!!!"" I would recommend this business for cheap quick vaccines ONLY. But if you love your pet, and don't want to worry if they're being cared for in a kind way when you're not there, take them somewhere else!!!!! I'd rather spend a little more to know my dog isn't being ignored or neglected!!!! There are too many other vets out there, who actually have compassion! Read Less

Brought my dogs in for a heartworm test on Monday and they were supposed to call me on Tuesday with the results. I waited until almost 5pm with no news from them. I ended up calling them myself just before 5pm. They were able to tell me what the results were, but they could not explain to me why no one had contacted me as promised. I was also given the wrong information by 2 different people who work there. I had asked if I could just walk into the clinic and purchase heartworm medication from them if my dogs' test results were negative. These 2 people said yes. I was very annoyed to then find out that my dogs need to have an examination before they would release any medication. I had to take time off work to bring my 3 dogs back to them for an examination and of course had to spend more money than I had planned. I now understand that this is standard practice and needs to be done yearly. It is just frustrating that they did not inform me of this when I had asked them about the heartworm medication. They also made no apologies for misleading me in this matter. I also do not like how they shout out questions to you about your pet or make remarks about your pet's health records from where they sit behind the counter. Why don't they call out your name, wait for you to get to the counter and then talk to you? And yes, you do get different vets that see your pet, so there is no consistency. I guess you get what you pay for. I also wish the vet assistants, or technicians, whatever you call them, act more warm and loving toward the pets. The ones I've encountered do not take the time to stroke my dogs, talk to them and comfort them. They can see that my dogs are scared, but they just go straight to work like robots with no feelings. I went back to the vet today I walk in and told them my dog as been in a lot of pain she will not lay on her stomach nor will she let you touch her belly, also she has taken to peeing and pooping in the house as an act of distress. So in walks the DVM and I explain all this to her and she says oh no I only use steel sutures and if you want them removed its going to cost you. Before I even got my dog spayed I asked if the stitches would be dissolvable and they said yes, it would be overnight and you wouldn't have to come in again and that everything would dissolve on their own and not to worry just give her the medicine once every 24 hours. I even brought her in a week after the fact and ask how the area was looking and if she was healing ok and they said AGAIN everything looks fine the stitches will dissolve soon. They said that anything concerning spaying was covered in the cost so that if I needed to bring her back in for anything about that it would be covered. I have the paper work to prove this! Well of course it doesn't match the paper work in their computer... I wonder why. These people don?t care about animals they care about the money not only did they do this but when they were to release her they charged me an extra $150 higher then the highest amount that they said I would have to pay. Please for the sake of your loved animal don?t take them to this vet and pass this story on to everyone you know. I've used My Pet's Vet Clinic for the last year and a half to take care of my dog's routine vet care. I had never been too impressed by them but went ahead and used them because it was so close to my house. However, I've recently decided never to use them again for a few reasons. First, they don't take appointments, and I've had to wait for over an hour to have my dog seen on three separate occasions. Secondly, I see a different vet every time I go. Third and most important, it's obvious that their primary focus is making money rather than caring for animals. Every time I went in to have my dog seen by them, they would try to pressure me to have my dog re-vaccinated for rabies even though it was not time. He had been given a three year vaccine in Austin two years ago, and even though I gave them the record of it, they always pestered me about it. And most recently, they refused to sell me any more heartworm prevention medication because it was a year since my dog's last complete physical. I had stopped in on my way home from work (without my dog) because I had run out of heartworm medication. I expected to be able to at least pick up one pill to tide him over until I could next get him in for an annual checkup. The receptionist, after checking with someone in the back, refused to sell me even one pill. She had pulled my file and could have easily seen that I am a regular visitor to the vet's office and that they had seen my dog just three months ago. I was not a customer who would just take the heartworm pills and vanish without having my dog seen. But they didn't seem to care about the health of my dog or their customer's convenience and refused to sell it to me. And they even had the gall to tell me that when I did bring in my dog for his exam, he would have to get another heartworm test, which means that I have to pay more money. This is in despite of the fact that I bought a year's supply of hw medication from them last year! So very annoying. Read Less
