Horrible experience! I went there less than a year ago to have my old dog 18 to be looked at. She had 3 masses from Mastitis and remove her uterus. I told the doctor if she couldn't make it for long after surgery, we shouldn't do it and I didn't want to pay more than a certain amount. 1300.00 was the amount we decided. They took a 500.00 deposit kept it and charged me 1300.00! When I picked up my poor dog she had staples all up her underside and I was told they couldn't remove her uterus because of too much blood loss! This was part of the original agreement. They agreed to do the Hysterectomy but for 500.00 more! I cried like I did today because I was told they would go ahead and take the 100.00 off the 500.00. Well sammy passed and today my old puppy Loki has cancer and needs to be Euthanize

A couple of weeks ago, our Gracie had surgery here at Mountain View veterinary hospital as she had a small lump (which turned out to be non-cancerous, even though the vet told us she was "95% sure" it...
A couple of weeks ago, our Gracie had surgery here at Mountain View veterinary hospital as she had a small lump (which turned out to be non-cancerous, even though the vet told us she was "95% sure" it was Cancer) and to be spade. When we went to pick up Gracie, we were asked by the woman who brought her out if we wanted one of those plastic cones that go over her head so that she cannot lick or mess with the incision site. We said sure. Never were we told that we had to PAY for this piece of plastic with a string. As we were driving home, we got a call from Mountain View stating that there was a $7.67 charge for the plastic cone and that we needed to pay that. I was stunned. I've owned dogs my entire life and have had several procedures done on them over the years and never was there a charge for the plastic cone. I didn't know what to say so I told her to just send a bill in the mail, which they did....immediately. Well, yesterday, we went to pick up our other dog's prescription and were told that we couldn't have it unless we paid the $7.67 charge for the plastic cone. Unbelievable. This is REALLY bad, bad business. Not a good way to run things. I am extremely unhappy and more than likely, will not use Mountain View again. They are skinflints and if they're going to nickel and dime me like this, I will take my business elsewhere. I'm not a fan of the vet we've seen, anyhow. Some time ago, I took our shih-tzu in there as he was lethargic. This same vet told us that she was "85% sure" that he had neurological problems and recommended a neurologist. Between the MRI that was recommended and Gracie's surgery, we paid $2,400 to find out both of them were absolutely fine. Never, ever again will I trust this place. They are more concerned with money than they are with providing care for pets.

I've had a great experience with Mountain View. The exotic vet is amazing there. A very sweet lady. The first week I had my hedgehog, she got rid of the mites she came with with only one round of treatment. She was nice and laughed about how Miss Chubbs tried crawling all over her and into her coat pockets. My last visit wasn't the best, but only because it was the visit where I had to put down my hedgehog. After a scan, we found out she had a very large tumor. She wasn't doing so good, so we put her down. They were very sweet and sent me home with a little white box with her in it, and her footprints. I buried her and said my goodbyes. A few weeks later, I received a card in the mail from the vet. A condolences card, a bunch of people signed it and said sorry for my loss, etc. It was very nice and I am very, very appreciative. I will be bringing any future exotic pets here. <3

Mountain View Vet Hospital is awesome!! My family started taking their animals there over 20 years ago and now that I have pets of my own, I would only trust the staff at MVVH to care for my animals. The staff is friendly and caring and I never doubt that my babies are in good hands. Their after hours on-call vet service is great and I've always felt cared for when I've had a couple of emergencies that warranted a call. For example, when my new kitten started having seizures several years ago, I called the after hours vet line and the vet on-call talked me through my panic, had me come in right away (even though the clinic was technically closed), checked up on me and my kitten, and even counseled me via phone until after 10:00pm which is after the line should be closed. They are amazing! I have the utmost confidence in them that my animals are getting exemplary care.

They have always given the best advice, never rushed or intimated me. We have seen ms of the doctors, and would recommend anyone of them.

We have several animals. And we have been to several vets in the past. We have been with Mountain View for about 8 years now. They by far have the friendliest staff. They truly care for not only your animal, but how you are doing too. The vet techs are hands on, concerned and very informative. And I can honestly say that ALL the veterinarians at this facility are incredible. I know with out a showdow of a doubt that who ever my pet gets they will have my pets best interest in mind. I never feel like they want to do, "just one more test" to make the extra money. They give me a full panel of options and start where they feel is the safest for my animal. I never feel robbed, I never feel pressured. I always feel relieved after taking my pet in. They call to check in to see how everyone is and they always return my calls. I am grateful that we found this place. They honestly care from the heart.... And their passion for animals is evidently deep. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

She wasn't doing so good, so we put her down. They were very sweet and sent me home with a little white box with her in it, and her footprints. I buried her and said my goodbyes. A few weeks later, I received a card in the mail from the vet. A condolences card, a bunch of people signed it and said sorry for my loss, etc. It was very nice and I am very, very appreciative. I will be bringing any future exotic pets here. <3

Always the best care. Was very pleased how they handled our dogs surgery. They even came in UNDER the amount quoted, and gave her extra special attention as if she where their dog. Thanks MVVH team.

Mountain View Vet Hospital is awesome!! My family started taking their animals there over 20 years ago and now that I have pets of my own, I would only trust the staff at MVVH to care for my animals. The staff is friendly and caring and I never doubt that my babies are in good hands. Their after hours on-call vet service is great and I've always felt cared for when I've had a couple of emergencies that warranted a call. For example, when my new kitten started having seizures several years ago, I called the after hours vet line and the vet on-call talked me through my panic, had me come in right away (even though the clinic was technically closed), checked up on me and my kitten, and even counseled me via phone until after 10:00pm which is after the line should be closed. They are amazing! I have the utmost confidence in them that my animals are getting exemplary care.

They have always given the best advice, never rushed or intimated me. We have seen ms of the doctors, and would recommend anyone of them.

We have several animals. And we have been to several vets in the past. We have been with Mountain View for about 8 years now. They by far have the friendliest staff. They truly care for not only your animal, but how you are doing too. The vet techs are hands on, concerned and very informative. And I can honestly say that ALL the veterinarians at this facility are incredible. I know with out a showdow of a doubt that who ever my pet gets they will have my pets best interest in mind. I never feel like they want to do, "just one more test" to make the extra money. They give me a full panel of options and start where they feel is the safest for my animal. I never feel robbed, I never feel pressured. I always feel relieved after taking my pet in. They call to check in to see how everyone is and they always return my calls. I am grateful that we found this place. They honestly care from the heart.... And their passion for animals is evidently deep. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
