True that this vet clinic has a good staff. The downfall is they are WAY overpriced. I took my kitten in for her first check up, $225.00. She got one shot. The other reviewers are correct that the staff are knowledgeable and that your pets will be well cared for. My lower rating is due to the pricing at this clinic. As a former vet tech, I was surprised at the rates the clinic was charging for basic services. If you go to this clinic, you can expect your pets will have have good medical treatment provided by professional staff, just expect to pay far more for that care. There are excellent clinics that are more reasonable in their pricing that aren't that far away. Read Less

I chose to take my dog here based on the reviews since I moved to the Marysville area in February. I needed to not only find a place to establish care but to also update my dog's rabies vaccination! The staff here is friendly and accommodating. I was immediately greeted upon arrival and felt welcomed. My Shiba Inu/Alaskan Klee Kai mix does not like the groomers and the vet. She is VERY anxious and has the tendency to get overwhelmed with everything going on. I really do appreciate how much Tina, the veterinary assistant, kept Mavi at ease during her visit. I find that places that I have taken Mavi to in the past will freak out in HOW to calm her down as she is ALL over the place. Tina was excellent and took the time to slowly get Mavi to be in a calm state! Dr. Crowson was the vet we saw and he was kind, knowledgable and took time to answer all the questions that my boyfriend and I had. He was also friendly with Mavi and did not try to rush things with her. At the end of the visit, he gave us a handout about Medial Luxating Patella as Mavi tends to have issues with her back left hind leg from time to time. I am glad that we brought it up as I never would have thought it could be something she could develop in the future. I have worked in veterinary practice so I am EXTREMELY picky with the care I want for Mavi, as she is my baby. (literally!) I am happy Frontier Village was the decision I made for her. Read Less

Had gone to them for a while but my one of my dogs had a cut that would not heal and brought her in for it to be looked at. A few days later she had a cough. Brought her back. Said it might be respiratory issue gave us medication for her. And later that night the other dog starts coughing. They stay home and go anywhere but after a visit to the vet they get kennel cough and they won't even consider that it was from their facility. So now I'm out almost $250 more and they didnt even offer to cover the visit fees for getting her sick just wanted that money I guess, get a dog sick now they have to return for another visit, or 2 since both got sick. I love this vet. Everyone there is super caring and compassionate with all animals. My dog had some bad experiences at a different vet and is very scared now of vets. they took the time to get him used to them before they even started to exam him. They sat on the floor and played with him. Then tried to find cheaper routes for us to help save us some money. By the time we left both me and gizmo had smiles on our face. I have only been there once,, but for the hardest choice ever. They helped me, help my little Sassy, pass on. They didn't know us, but treated us both with such compassion. Been a client for 20 plus years and I cannot get flea meds for my 100 pound dog that has severe anxiety. He requires a muzzle to go and is very traumatized so we bring him in when he is sick! I can get meds for my other dog because she has been in....News Flash....I have to treat them all. They have FLEAS. He does NOT need to be seen. So frustrated and so done after 20 years! Read Less

I could not have been more disappointed. Years ago when we brought our cat we were treated so wonderfully and thoroughly. Being a very novice pet owner the staff was amazing. But there is a recent shift in attitude. I do not ever really review things online but I was really bothered by this experience. The front office staff as always is amazing there. Helpful. Informative. They even have young girl running around cleaning up pet accidents that clearly should not be picking up heavy carpets but yet she is happy to do it and help all the animals. Simply amazing. Then it came to the visit. After asking numerous times how much things would cost I was constantly rebuffed that I would get it after. Come to find out after I ended up paying more money based upon the decisions that I made during the visit that I really was not even clear on as the explanations were not very clear at all. It just felt like I was in a sales pitch meeting not there for my pet's health. I do not feel the records were reviewed well. Again I just felt like I was in a high pressure sales meeting. Worst was this was supposed to be a complimentary first vet visit from the pet store where we got our puppy. Needless to say we are changing vets immediately. We have gone to several other vets like in Redmond and know things are costly and you need estimates but the vets usually try to guide you and for sure do not end up costing you more money unnecessarily. Why because if they care about you and your pet you will spend even more money. Not lose clients. I am so sad to write this as I really love most of the staff there and think they are amazing. I know it is tough economic times but it is for everyone. Keep that in mind. It is not worth making an extra few buck to lose a lot of bucks in the long run. Again this for the most part and most of the vets is an above excellent facility but if that is the experience of many than there has been a change in philosophy I cannot condone. I do think the vets are well trained and intelligent. I compliment most of them there. Again it kills me that this was my experience now. As a follow up once again I called the front office staff and so impressed by how informative and helpful they are. After speaking with them they showed me how cost effective the clinic can be compared to other clinics charges. I have to say that the staff here has single handedly salvaged my opinion and made me feel comfortable enough to have a follow up visit. Hopefully it goes well and I get the same level of attention that I was hoping for the first time but had been my experience in the past with this clinic. The best reviews are honest reviews. I am so glad that I gave them a second chance. As I said it started with the Front office staff truly being so informative, caring and helpful. As I had always remembered. But it is much more than that. It must have been an off day as the vet was wonderful with my puppy. I was explained everything up front this and they did everything to ensure that I did not over pay for anything. It was an amazing visit. For me to turn a one star experience to a five star experience to me is so much more powerful and truthful review. I hope you all read the sincerity. I would not take my pets anyplace else and will chalk up my initial experience to my a misunderstanding as this experience is what I had initially experienced and was so wonderful found again here. I've been here once so far. My kitty is quite the rough and tumble and came home one afternoon with an eye injury. I called this vet because they were close to home.
