Cold and completely unfriendly staff. The vet tech was EXTREMELY rude. After waiting almost an hour just to see the doctor, I told myself I would be walking out if the doctor did not see us in the next 5 minutes. Of course he walked right in then...but I am regretting my decision to not walk out. He spent about 10 minutes talking to me, and immediately suggested an allergy test and allergy shots. I was apprehensive, but let them take my dog in the back for testing because I wanted to find out if his respiratory symptoms were a serious matter. They called me back into the room and told me that he was "waking up" and would be in shortly. The tech then proceeded to explain the shot schedule that I would be following (which was absurdly confusing and required injections staggered beginning at every 3 days and working down to 3 weeks in a very drawn out methodology). The dosing was also double what the doctor had originally told me they would be. While she was explaining the process, I could hear my boy in the back crying loudly. I asked if that was him crying, and was he okay, and she seemed unconcerned and went back to explaining the shots. When they brought him in he was visibly stressed, and they told me that he had vomited when he came out of sedation and they had to administer an anti-nausea shot which they claimed was why he was crying. I was shocked at the large area that they did the allergy testing on--and he was left with red, bloody patches in that area. They also trimmed his nails extremely short, and very jagged, and they did not even ask me if I wanted this done (he had just had his nails trimmed so it was NOT necessary). At this point we had been there for over 2 hours, and my boy hadn't had anything to eat since the night prior (their requirement due to sedation) and I just wanted to get out of there. $737 dollars later, I left feeling incredibly upset, with a dog who had been unnecessarily traumatized, and upon gaining a clear head on the drive home I realized that I was pressured into paying for the allergy test and the shots and I will NOT be subjecting my dog to a lifetime of unnecessary injections for very standard allergies to various grasses and trees that we do not even have in our yard. Complete waste of time and money, and I would NOT recommend this clinic. I should have taken the advice of my regular vet and my gut instinct and not gone here, or walked out when I should have.
