After a a year and a half and over $2000 pills and shots and everything is still the same. Bedside manner is horrible he looked at me and said you must really care about this dog... well yes he’s part of our family, what a horrible way to treat someone. I think they are just selling snake oil...( false remedies). Every time I brought out the brown folder he would run and hide under the couch then after giving him the shot he would sit and pant and drool for an hour, he hated them and Will never put him through such a bad experience the front not desk girl is rude and condescending just a really bad experience all and all. I do not recommend this place at all if you really want to do shots I’d suggest a vet that cares a bit more about your pet. Read Less

Dr. Duclos and his team are very good at what they do. My dog suffered from an issue that was mimicking other skin issues. After nearly 2 months of unsuccessful treatment by the local vet, we went to Dr. Duclos who was able to diagnose the issue quickly and correctly despite it being something quite rare. Dr. Duclos and his team stay in weekly contact between visits (we are 1.5 hrs away). My little girl is getting much better. While this has been an expensive road, I feel that the care and treatment once we got to the Animal Skin and Allergy Clinic has been spot on and we'll worth the time and $$. Read Less

Cold and completely unfriendly staff. The vet tech was EXTREMELY rude. After waiting almost an hour just to see the doctor, I told myself I would be walking out if the doctor did not see us in the next 5 minutes. Of course he walked right in then...but I am regretting my decision to not walk out. He spent about 10 minutes talking to me, and immediately suggested an allergy test and allergy shots. I was apprehensive, but let them take my dog in the back for testing because I wanted to find out if his respiratory symptoms were a serious matter.  They called me back into the room and told me that he was "waking up" and would be in shortly. The tech then proceeded to explain the shot schedule that I would be following (which was absurdly confusing and required injections staggered beginning at every 3 days and working down to 3 weeks in a very drawn out methodology). The dosing was also double what the doctor had originally told me they would be. While she was explaining the process, I could hear my boy in the back crying loudly. I asked if that was him crying, and was he okay, and she seemed unconcerned and went back to explaining the shots. When they brought him in he was visibly stressed, and they told me that he had vomited when he came out of sedation and they had to administer an anti-nausea shot which they claimed was why he was crying. I was shocked at the large area that they did the allergy testing on--and he was left with red, bloody patches in that area. They also trimmed his nails extremely short, and very jagged, and they did not even ask me if I wanted this done (he had just had his nails trimmed so it was NOT necessary). At this point we had been there for over 2 hours, and my boy hadn't had anything to eat since the night prior (their requirement due to sedation) and I just wanted to get out of there. $737 dollars later, I left feeling incredibly upset, with a dog who had been unnecessarily traumatized, and upon gaining a clear head on the drive home I realized that I was pressured into paying for the allergy test and the shots and I will NOT be subjecting my dog to a lifetime of unnecessary injections for very standard allergies to various grasses and trees that we do not even have in our yard. Complete waste of time and money, and I would NOT recommend this clinic. I should have taken the advice of my regular vet and my gut instinct and not gone here, or walked out when I should have. My dogs were adopted from rescue and had many health issues.  After taking my dogs to another dermatologist for several years; the treatment plan was always the same - flush their ears and use the same drops over and over again; the problem was never resolved.  The dermatologist would put a scope into their ears and for two weeks after the visit they would wail in pain when I attempted to touch their ears.  I took them to see Dr Duclos for a second opinion.  Dr Duclos used a video-otoscope using "high tech" equipment to visualize the entire ear canal, eardrum and the middle ear on a computer screen.  I was able to see what was happening inside my dogs' ears.  Dr Duclos prescribed a treatment plan that worked. Dr Duclos has also treated my pets for allergies.  If you look around his office you will notice that he has extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of animal dermatology.  I have confidence in Dr Duclos and his staff.  The office environment presents a 'quiet and professional' rather than a 'warm and fuzzy' atmosphere.  When my dogs crossed the Rainbow Bridge Dr Duclos acknowledged their passings; an illustration of unexpected compassion. We recently saw Dr. Duclos for a skin issue with our cat. The staff was very friendly and so was Dr. Duclos. He examined our cat and gave me options for treatment with varying cost so we could make an informed decision. He also printed out info and provided handouts with additional information regarding our cats allergy issue and even showed me how to pull up a website to check the current pollen count for the area after I told him I suffer from allergies myself. Overall the staff and Dr Duclos were wonderful. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone with a pet with skin/allergy issues. Read Less

We have been with this clinic since 2014 when it was recommended to me by a co-worker. By "we" I mean our dog Ramzi (jindo-mix) who we adopted back in 2012. We noticed he would get reoccurring ear infections, hot spots, and just over all be miserable- esp when spring/summer rolled around. We had spent TONS of money going to our regular vet during this time of the year getting steroid injections, oral steroids, ear cleaners, etc. We had changed his diet from kibble to raw with some improvement. Won't bore you with the entire story, but we ended up here. Dr. Duclos is knowledgeable and his staff have not been rude to me. The doc will answer any questions you have and the appointments always feel individualized. Once I was out of town and when my BF had to give the subcutaneous injection, Ramzi had a reaction. My BF tried calling me but i told him he needed to call the front desk at the clinic. They walked him through what to do. I have never had issues making appointments and I have even sent in photos to their clinic of a rash Ramzi once had with a description of his symptoms. They mailed me the prescription needed. Actually, we live almost an hour away from this clinic and get all our meds mailed to us. The service is great. We have never had issues. The office is clean, parking is not a problem as it is a stand alone building, and there is coffee in the waiting room. Read Less

This review is mainly for the reception rather than the clinic in its entirety. Every time I have been here with my pup, I've been greeted by a cold, shrewd receptionist who makes me feel like a burden. She's short and has long dark curly hair. With every visit I spend between $500-$1000 so I expect someone to greet me with a smile. Is that so much to ask for? Last time I was in, I could hear her on the phone with a customer and it almost sounded as if she was mocking her. Not only that, but before I even made it to that appointment she confirmed us with an appointment on a Saturday... they're not open on Saturday!! We came all the way out to mill creek to a closed office and no one apologized. If I didn't like the doctor, I would go somewhere else. Read Less

We had a great experience bringing our boxer in for skin allergies. Although there was a shortage of his medicine, that was apparently state-wide so nothing they could do about it. Since that has passed we've had a great experience there. When our dog's medicine got lost in the mail one time, they gave us a credit for the cost without a second thought. What a disappointment, and an expensive one!!  Took my cat here because he has an immune system reactionary disorder and was suspected to have allergies.1)  When you walk in, the space looks nice and neat, but feels cold (not temperature-wise).2)  Staff weren't warm or friendly, just cool and business like.  No smiles there - front desk, vet, and vet techs.3)  One time my cat had a clearly infected paw and it smelled. They conducted a pricey test to confirm - why?4)  Major errors with my cat's treatment.  Duclos misread tech's notes, later thought my cat was on a special diet even though I kept telling him that wasn't so.  Kept my cat on high doses of Atopica but made no other changes except to give him a Program shot for fleas he didn't have.  Duclos seemed majorly distracted and disinterested in actually helping.  My cat had recurrent lumps, lesions, etc., and his treatment was abysmal.  He never improved and my cat's hair started falling out and he had terrible gum hyperplasia!!  Cha-ching:  $1,000.Luckily we found another vet and my cat is doing well now -- FINALLY!! Our dog Cooper, a Chihuahua-Rat Terrier mix, has had skin allergy issues ever since we rescued him (Got him through Ginger's Pet Rescue. He was living in a cupboard of an 87 year old widowed hoarder's house in Hollywood, CA). Our regular vet had recommended an allergy medication that had a low dose steroid to help manage the reaction. The medication didn't really help much and the steroid made him put on a lot of weight. That's when we contacted Dr. Duclos' office. He was very helpful. He took me through how the medication Cooper was currently on worked and WHY he shouldn't be on it long term (i.e. weight gain). He then proposed a couple different solutions and then made his recommendation as to which one we should start with. He prescribed a medication called Atopica which is designed to block the allergic reaction from occuring as opposed to the medication Cooper was taking before that was designed to help the body manage the reaction after it occured. The Atopica made an immediate difference and Cooper is feeling (and looking) much better. Thank you Dr. Duclos!Read Less

My miniature schnauzer had horrible itching, to the point that he'd make his ears bleed! My primary vet couldn't help and finally referred me to ASAC. Their initial appointment was very thorough and I received a complete breakdown of all my dog's allergies, including a thorough medication gameplan. My problem with ASAC, though, is their incomplete information and follow-up after the fact. For example, no one mentioned that, to get my dog's yearly renewal of shot solution, he had to undergo another full battery of testing. Worse, whenever you want to order more solution or pills, you have to do it when they're in the office. The Web site is crazy ("click here to authorize a charge of up to $200"), and their hours of operation stink -- including the fact that they're unavailable during lunch hours. The one time I left a voicemail message, they never responded! Finally, the doctors said the pills would "go away" after a month or so, and I'd only need to use the shots. Never happened. Don't get me wrong; I'm thrilled that my dog doesn't scratch anymore, but he needs the full compliment of pills and shots to be there. Read Less

They may not be cuddly-wuddly at the front desk all the time, but they do a great job medically treating them, and that's the most important part for me! Read Less

My four year old golden retriever has been a patient here for the last 1 1/2 years. After suffering from recurrent skin and ear infections for years, we were referred for allergy evaluation. After testing, Riley was put on allergy shots, medication, and regular bathing with antibacterial shampoo. It has made a world of difference in Riley, as he is now a happy, comfortable dog, no longer itching and biting his skin raw. Dr. Duclos and his staff are accessible and always take the time to explain everything. When Riley had a minor outbreak a few months ago, I was able to get him in immediately for treatment. I would highly recommend the Animal Skin and Allergy Clinic to all of my friends! Read Less

Read Less
