I'm pretty sure everyone who has given this place 5 stars has worked there... They will add on as many fees to your bill by taking your companion animal without even explaining what they plan to do. I have gone in for my dogs anal gland rupture and came out with around $2000 bill because they added a plan and random blood work for surgery I didn't agree on. When I went in for my dog's anal gland expression, they charged me $40. The front desk woman said it was due to a "deeper cleaning", which it took about five minutes for them to complete. Even Northpointe or Perrinville veterinary clinics do deep expressions, but they charge $25. It is a real shame that they use shady tactics to get as much money out of you. If they are this dishonest, I am not comfortable letting them take my dog "to the back". Do yourself a huge favor and don't waste your time or money here. Our experience with VCA Lynnwood has been nothing short of Exemplary. We have a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel named Lilly. We received her at 5 weeks and she is now 8 years old. Lilly is my wife's companion dog and is cared for like one of the family. Dr. Iwai is Lilly's primary vet, however she has been seen by all of the doctors at VCA Lynnwood. The front desk staff, the techs and everyone in the office treat Lilly (patients) and their families with respect, empathy and understanding. They take the time to explain all your options so that you are informed and have an understanding of what is best for your pet. The physicians have always called a day or two latter to follow up on Lilly. We don't hesitate to drive 40 minutes, one way without traffic, to VCA Lynnwood to get our Lilly the best health care. We recommend VCA Lynnwood and strongly recommend Dr. Iwai to all our friends. Read Less

Dream Vet. All of the doctors and staff members here are just wonderful! We have two dogs that we take here very regularly (unfortunately) and the doctors are very informative, thorough, and staff is courteous. We have had many ailments but even when our one dog, was diagnosed with some tricky ailments, Dr. Perigo went out of her way, even on her day off to do her own research so that we could provide the best possible diet and treatment for her. Hit and Miss - We came in there one time and got the Czech (my husband is from around there) and he was good. The next time we came in the blonde lady presented us with a "quote" of just over $1000 to check our Colonel's bum. When I said we didn't have that kind of money just before Xmas - it then became the "Price is right" and a game of how much do I really need to spend to get out of here? Finally she said we could do a panel of tests to see if anything came up before proceeding - that test cost $300. We were suppose to hear the results of the next day. That was a month ago and we still have heard the results. I couldn't tell you if they even submitted a test since we never received any results. I know the US mail is slow but is it really that slow? 100% the best. Entirely focused on best possible care for your pet. Have had 2 dogs here with mystery illnesses, both correctly diagnosed by their rockstar radiologist (in one case from old X-rays that were just part of her “background “ file. Be nice, be patient, be prepared. Let them focus on your pet’s care. In terms of quality of care, this is like taking your dog to a teaching hospital. You will wait while they treat emergent cases. Bring a sandwich. They have multiple specialists they can call in for a quick consult, so they have the best chance of unearthing the path to recovery for your pet. Read Less

If I could give them zero stars I would. EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL. Kept trying to sell stuff. Even after I said no. When talking about a benign tumor that was previously checked out by them I was told that it could be cancer. This doctor had absolutely no compassion and I am appalled of their behavior and the lack of support by their manager! (The manager who literally laughed on the phone) I have never in my life gone in to get my dogs their vaccinations and left in tears! They charge but they don't perform testing on the sample!!! I found a live worm in my dog's poop and brought in a fecal sample for testing. When I called back for the results the next day (a call they were supposed to have made), I was told there were no signs any worm eggs, larvae or cysts. When I asked if the doctors had seen the LIVE parasites in the sample, the secretary expressed confusion and had to check with the doctor, as there were no notes on file. When I spoke with the doctor, she assured me that there were no signs of worm activity. It took my reminding her that there were actual worms crawing around for her to volunteer that they were most likely tapeworms. This test cost $71 dollars and was a complete waste of time and money, and then the want to charge $60 for a deworming pill I can get from Amazon for $10. After multiple disappointing experiences with this vet, I will be taking my animals to another provider from now on. Read Less

I liked this place until recently. Now their entire "appointment" that I pay for is a sales pitch for multiple products. My dog has no need for these extra vaccines and diet programs. She started off by saying he's in excellent health, then spent my appt selling stuff!! I won't go back. I would like to begin this by explaining - I do not usually fill out online recommendations - but VCA was so great to work with, I feel compelled to do so in this case. Our pup (Moka) was really sick (vomiting and bloody stool), dehydrated and needed a IV to re-hydrate. Please note; we had gone to our vet first - but they do not have after hours care. Our vet stabilized Moka, put in the IV catheter and recommended VCA for the after hours care. Our vet explained to us, that if this was her pup - then this is the after hours location she would take them too. We felt very comfortable going to VCA. Once we arrived, the emergency vet was ready for our pup - our vet had called them to alert them we were en route and faxed needed information. The emergency room veterinarian was very patient with us and answered all questions. They assisted us with everything. My husband stayed with Moka at the hospital to make sure she knew we were there for her. All staff was very helpful, patient and gave us great service. They are expensive, but it was worth it knowing our Moka was well taken care of. We both highly recommend VCA Read Less
