I came home to an emergency situation with my dog. I googled the closest vet and it happened to be Cascade. I called and explained my situation and they yoto me to rush on down. Over the course of five years, I have taken three dogs to Cascade for care. Their service has been consistently friendly and courteous. Prices are reasonable and well explained. Since my dogs are rescues, I am most concerned that a new, sometimes nervous dog has a comfortable, caring reception. We have taken our dogs to see Dr Hoffman for many years. He has seen us through some difficult times, and encouraged us compassionately. The staff and Veterinarian know us when we arrive, and have even watched our kids grow up through our pet care experience. My sweet little yorkie had an extensive dental today; I received a call to bring me up to date on his medical care. As I was anxious all day, this gave me great comfort. Dr Hoffman took the time to say hello to us first thing this morning, and talked to Dougie too. I enjoy seeing the staff interact positively with each other and with the animals. I've been with Dr. Hoffmann and his assistants for several years and am extremely pleased with the quality of care. They are knowledgeable, compassionate and a really great bunch to work with.Additionally, the prices are reasonable and you are given the opportunity to review your charges prior to services rendered. They give you both a high and low cost estimate that is very helpful in terms of planning and they are willing to work with you. I've taken my dogs a couple times and after my last appointment I will no longer be going there. I just didn't like how the vet treated my dogs. I felt more like he was dominant over creatures rather then love them. I don't know if that makes sense, but I'm looking for more of a vet that loves their job and animals. Also, they were given worm medicine even though I never have my permission and was charged extra money for it! Did not like them sneaking extra costs. And lastly, every time I went in they constantly told me my dog was overweight. Yes, she's old. Yes, I've limited her food. Yes, I know! Don't need to be told that when I enter and when I leave. I'm torn...the staff is friendly enough, but didn't tell me that my dog would need to skip his pill in the morning to do blood work, so I had to come back...they were kind enough to offer a Saturday appointment, because I have to take time off to bring my dogs in...however, for a simple blood test the bill was $185...ridiculous....I don't even spend that much on mine. I'm willing to bet I will have to do this frequently so that they can "check his levels".  I will be looking for a more reasonably priced clinic soon. Read Less

We recently moved into the area. We Found Cascade to be very accommodating, friendly, and capable. We just had our first visit with our pet (dog) and were very pleased with the service they provide to our dog and us. Hopefully the beginning of a good relationship. I would put ZERO stars but that's not an option!!!!Brought our dog in cause he has been dealing with ear issues for a while and had ran out of his medication from his last vet. Found this place local, made an appointment for a usual checkup with vaccinations, one of which was the nasal version for kennel cough which they gave him without asking me. He isn't around other dogs, I wouldn't have okayed it. They gave him a clean bill of health including his ears. He has never been sick before but that night he started to cough. His cough got worse daily. I called and asked them concerned and they said it should go away. Then the following morning 4am he was so bad he was gagging and pukeing, I called into work. Waited till 7am until they opened and called but they couldn't get him in till 11am. After $1,286.58 worth of tests on top of the $120.10 for the "checkup", they told me that he had pneumonia and needed to take a bunch of medication. I paid them and followed directions and thankfully he is doing better. A week later they called and said it wasn't from the vaccination per the cultur. So your stuck with the bill basically. Beware of this place, I really don't think I should have to pay when they made him sick. Vaccine or not, he was perfectly healthy when I walked him in there. I feel like I've been scamed. Read Less

The waiting room is comfortable and the office staff and vet techs are friendly and helpful. They're reasonably priced and offer exceptional care. When our 11yo Fila Brasileiro Zara was at the end, we knew that their clinic was where we wanted to be and that in the most traumatic and heartbreaking of times, they'd make it as easy as they could on her and us. They explained everything, gave us the option of sedation or not prior to euthanasia, the option to stay with her or go prior, answered every question we had, didn't rush us, gave our "baby dog" cookies and loves along with us, and helped us through it. We were a mess, but they were understanding and incredibly compassionate and empathetic. We didn't have sedation prior, as we opted to stay with her, and she passed peacefully in our arms as they told us she would. As hard as it was, it helped knowing they cared and that she just went to sleep. Our new 5 month old babies (our new furry twin daughters adopted from NOAH to help us heal our hearts) have also been in to establish care. You can see the genuine love that Dr. Hoffman has for the animals that he sees in his clinic. Our pets are like our kids. We wanted a doctor that feels the same way and understands and we can't say enough good things about him, his staff, and the clinic. I have not had to take my dog here for many things just vaccines and routine visit. I would give 5 stars if they didn't take my puppy into a separate room alone for injections, maybe this is normal I don't know but my other dog sees a different vet (they didn't offer a puppy package so the vaccines would have been 150 dollars more. ) and they do not do this. I sit with her and they do her injections and she is happy and content. My girl Aria is already afraid of this vet :( Nail trimming is 18 dollars. Yes I said 18 dollars. I can do it myself I just figured it was easier while we were there. The list for pet food they gave was horrible it had awful brands full of bi products and chemicals on it. Otherwise its clean and quite. The staff could be friendlier. The vet was nice enough. I dont think we will go here now that her shots and package is over. I will be taking her where my other girl and boy go! Hope this helps you out. Read Less

Never again.  I asked 2 different people working there if , when I had to put my dog down, would he yelp in pain from the injection?  They reassured me that the dog would not feel any pain from the injection.  Well, the time came, and I had to have my dog put down, and instead of the last moment of his life feeling love, he yelped in pain from the burning of the injection that they gave him.  I was so distraught that I didn't say anything, I could only cry, I was so upset.  But when I got home, I called them and the girl tried to say everything she could to cover the doctors butt.  I hate this Vet.  I've had other bad experiences with them, too.  I'll never go there again.  I would NOT recommend them. DO NOT take your pet here if you love them. My cat was attacked by a neighbor dog and we brought her here. After a very hurried "diagnosis" they were quick to shove us a bill over $600, saying due to shock the cat could not receive care until the morning. We declined the outrageous charge, and they quickly offered us the procedure that day (the unsafe one) for a little more than $400. Since the vet told us we only had to worry about the "two" wounds, we decided to care for the cat ourselves. In the days following the cat has had very apparent issues with one of her hind legs not involved in the "expert" diagnosis from this hack of a vet. When we called to ask if he would re-examine the cat for issues missed... they said they would gladly take another look, for another fee ($54). This is nothing more than a crook that takes advantage of people when they are frantic, hoping that someone in distress will sign off on their extremely expensive care. I am changing care of all of my animals to anywhere but here. If you love your animals you will do the same... never again. Read Less

This business shares a parking lot with several others.  I didn't appreciate getting a Cascade Vet Center business card slapped on my car door with "Veterinary Parking Only" scrawled in very poor handwriting.  If you have reserved parking, by all means, shell out a few bucks and have your spaces CLEARLY MARKED.  By the way, I have 3 dogs and reside in Marysville.  You can bet I won't be going ANYWHERE NEAR your precious parking area again.  If anyone out there is looking for an EXCELLENT vet, go to Frontier Village Veterinary Clinic in Lake Stevens or Seattle Veterinary Specialists (SVS) in Kirkland.  There you'll find people who pay attention to the health and well being of your four-legged family members and not the bloody parking lot.
