Since they keep removing our reviews on Facebook. This happened to my mom. Wish I could give negative stars. VCA Marysville on Cedar in Marysville. I brought my dog in with a lump on her haunches and leg pain. The vet never shaved the area or aspirated the lump. She said she felt it. She diagnosed an injury to her back with a pain and inflammation protocol. Two days later at a second vet she died from a massive infection from an abscess. It was under her fur. She died in pain and needlessly. My heart is broken beyond measure. Read Less

Price comparison for same thing: VCA in Marysville = $560 Animal Surgery And Vaccination in Everett = $168 Price compared VCA Marysville with Animal Surgery and Vaccination in Everett. To have my Corgi Neutered and have a GPS chip put in cost $168 total at Animal Surgery and Vaccination. VCA for the same thing wanted $60 just to see the pet then over $500 for the Neuter and GPS chip. Had procedures completed at Animal Surgery and my dog is just fine. Crazy!!! Thank You Dr. Hoffman and the entire wonderful staff! We brought our little 8 year old Bichon in -- as he was very sick -- vomiting, weak, and in intense pain. I called all over Marysville and no clinic would take us immediately, but this wonderful clinic did -- And with no time to spare. Our dog had a severe gall bladder issue and liver problems. The staff was kind and caring and Dr. Hoffman did an intensive examination, blood tests, and xrays and found the problem -- then hurriedly got our dog lined up for an ultrasound. He saved our dogs life. And then the very next day I received a personal call from Dr. Hoffman asking me how my dog was doing. He said he just wanted to make sure everything was ok. Now let me say, this is the very best grade AAA+++ service and as far as we are concerned we will always bring our pet to VCA. Thank you Dr. Hoffman and thank your VCA attendants, technicians and staff. You are the best! Read Less

Our elderly cat had been having issue the past few months, so we have had many tests run to find out the issue. Up until recently our kidney results were normal as we have been told as the results come in. On our last visit, we were blindsided by our vet stating she had stage 2 kidney disease which seemed odd, we decided to get a second opinion from a different vet somewhere else and brought her medical charts with us. Both vets at the other clinic looked at her and her charts and saw no indication of kidney disease. If you want to be given false diagnoses and want to talk to under par doctors that look like they never want to be there, feel free to come here. They won’t get our business ever again. Read Less

Formerly a good vet, but the last three visits to them have completely changed my mind. I recommend you avoid them now. My wife and I brought our dog here a few years back, and all seemed well. We felt this would be a great place to make our permanent vet, and have made several visits since. Then about a year ago, things changed when they came out with a new pet care annual plan, that they are continually trying to force on you at a ridiculous cost (more than I pay for my own insurance), almost shaming you if you don't agree to it. They even recently raised prices on all of their normsl services to make the yearly plan seem more appealing. They went from being "service focused" to "services focused", and it's made a huge difference in the way they treat you. The final straw was Saturday morning when we took our cat in to give them one last chance to redeem themselves. They seriously failed. First off, they tried pushing the $1000 plan on us again... several times. We just agreed to a basic exam, and some inoculation shots. Finally they took our cat to give her the shots, and when they came back, they said they also clipped her claws. Our cat loves to climb a great deal. We have several climbing areas set up around our house just for this purpose. Since the exam/mutilation, she has not been able to climb any of these very well, and nearly fell off a climbing shelf she was attempting because she could not get a grip on it. I'm just glad I saw her struggling and caught her. She has been absolutely miserable and I can't wait for her claws to grow back so she'll be happy again and hopefully stop meowing so much... this isn't what I expect my animals to be like after a visit to the vet. If my cat gets hurt while trying to climb something and falling, thereby forcing me to visit a vet to get THAT taken care of, I will be seriously perturbed. If you are going to modify my cat in some way, ask if it's okay first. Don't just assume it's alright to start chopping off parts of my animal without consulting me about whether or not I'm alright with it. My wife and I are seriously pissed as we have to deal with the consequences now. It sucks having to go find a new vet as you never know if you will get one that actually cares about the animals, or just cares about the money. VCA use to be the former, but now are greatly guilty of being the latter. Read Less

Where to start! I tried this vet out because while I was deployed my parents were taking care of my animals for me and I just assumed that they had good service there. Wrong. My dog is apparently allergic to grass and pollen, which is something I finally found out after going to another vet, and at the VCA Dr Kim essentially blew me off about the questions that I raised. I said I thought it could be an allergy, she countered me and said that it had to be fleas. Well after combing him nothing was found. She fell back that it was only because it was such a small area. He didn't have fleas at all which was confirmed when I got him groomed and did a cautionary flea dip just in case. After I felt I get a call from the vet tech, which was nice of her to follow up and I am glad that she did, but she also told me that it was staff infection since he had been scratching himself so hard. That was NOT mentioned to me by the vet. The overall impression that I got was that she was condescending and views vet owners as idiots that don't have a clue. When I requested that my information be faxed to the new vet, I asked for all of his records. Well all that was faxed was a handwritten note.... Also, the prices at the new vet was substantially cheaper and the service was amazing. I can see that people who have gone there for a long time will continue out of habit, but not me.Read Less

The veterinary technicians were very kind and gentle with my cat and dog and talked to them to calm them down while examining them. The vet herself (Dr. Alina McClain) was very sweet to us and the animals and very knowledgeable. She explained all our options and gave a very thorough examination and made sure both my animals were healthy. We were even a couple dollars short and they waived it for us.
