Exceptional facility! My dogs actually enjoy going into this vet clinic as opposed to our previous one. Also I picked up a stray who had been struck by a car and they got her in the same day I called for xrays. Also squeezed her in as quick as possible for surgery day when there was a miscommunication on my part. Can't say enough good things about this clinic. Will always be taking my animals here! My wife and I took our husky puppy there right after we first got her, and the ML Bet Clinic has done an absolute magnificent job taking care of her. We just finished up her puppy check ups, and they took care of her like she was their own. Would very highly recommend for any animal!! Read Less

I take both of my Corgis here, one 5 and the other 13 weeks old. I don't even live in Medical Lake anymore but I refuse to go anywhere else! They care so much about each animal and always call for follow ups. I couldn't ask for a better team to care for my pets! Read Less

I've never felt so bad in my life. FYI my Dog didn't bleed out and is perfectly fine. I wouldn't recommend this place. I was being treated like crap for not knowing something I gave my dog could hurt her. I was quoted $197 before they would even look at her leg she was limping on. I got charged $46 for nothing no exam nothing. I was crying thinking my dog was going to die and treated like I was a waisting the vets time. The vet hung up the phone on my husband when he refused to get blood work he didn't think was necessary to get done. Took my dog to a different vet. Got blood work X-rays was a quarter of the cost and didn't leave feeling like I killed my sweet little girl. I'm sure not all the doctors are rude at this place but the one we had was absolutely terrible and had no manners. Read Less

Update: I took my dog in for an office visit since he was having some digestion issues and his food was comi ng back up. They where completely booked up but they took our dog in anyways. The doctor had called me personaly after about 30 minutes explain what was going on and what she recommends. We had all the blood work and xrays done. This is the first time our dog has been sick so we where so scared. Everyone made us feel better they where super friendly and told us our boy was in hood hands. Janise at the front desk was super awesome helping out and making us feel better. They really made everything so much easier. I am very impressed and if my dog ever needs to go to the vet again I know I'm going to them with eas of mind. And our dog seem so much happier already! We brought our dog, Spencer, here today after another vet misdiagnosed his illness and was showing no improvement. They found his diagnoses pretty quickly. Unfortunately, he was too ill to be saved at this point and we had to have him put down. The staff and Dr Dutton were very caring and compassionate not only to our Spencer but also to us in our pain. We had an unfortunate experience at another vet clinic, and the staff at Medical Lake Vet clinic was extremely quick to assist us with our needs. Unfortunately we had gone to this clinic to say goodbye to my daughter's guinea pig. For a first time visit the staff was very professional and polite. We said our good-byes and headed home. By the time we got home the clinic called and said that Mr. Gibbs had passed away before they were able to put him to sleep and that they were refunding the cost of procedure. We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the best veterinary clinic in the county. In particular, we want to thank Dr. O'Bannon and Dr. Dutton for the outstanding care they provide to our horses, alpacas, dogs, and cat. We have had the opportunity to be with our dogs during exams and certain procedures and appreciate the compassion of the staff. Because of the love they received, our Sheltie and Great Pyrenees, were able to live long, happy, pain free lives as they aged. After exceeding their life expectancies, both dogs left this world with joy, surrounded by tenderness. Medical Lake Veterinary Clinic and its caring staff helped us through this difficult time. Each person was kind, caring, and compassionate. In addition, they introduced us to a new, safe medication for chronic arthritis pain that enhanced our dogs' quality of life for an amazing extended period of time.We enjoy the clinic's uplifting music, chocolate chip cookies, cheery atmosphere, and their commitment to provide the best animal care in the community. Never again. Took my dog in for what I knew and what was an obvious UTI. They said they needed to run tests on him and took him in the back. I waited three hours. I asked numerous times when I could see him but they said he was still asleep from whatever type of anesthesia they had used to keep him still. By hour three, I was just about ready to barge into the back when a staff member came out and said he was ready. They took me to an exam room where my dog was shaking in a corner, there was urine and feces on the floor and the room stunk. He was very agitated and nervous and as soon as he saw me just made a bee-line for the front door. After getting him home, I had to give him a bath because he stunk of urine and feces. During whatever went down in the back, he hit his nose hard because it bled for quite awhile and he then curled into my lap and whined for hours.  It took him two days to start getting back to his old self. I have no idea what they did to him in the back but I can sure as heck tell you I am never bringing him back to his place again. I was charged $550 to put my dog through that. They pressured me into buying this special type of dog food ($45 for a small bag) that they said he would have to eat for the rest of his life because of his health issue which is ridiculous. He is now back to 100% and at his last veterinary clinic visit (at another place, of course) the doc says that my boy is the healthiest dog he has seen. Call me overprotective but I now make sure I stay with him for whatever test the vet needs to run. As for this place, I won't even stop in to pick up flea prevention.  Never. Again.Edit I: I should add that this incident that happened to me occurred about three years ago. Shortly after posting my review, I received an apology email from the business manager and then a request to call her. I did and she apologized for what happened but explained that three years ago the business was in it's early stages and the staff and policy has since been trained better and improved. She offered a tour if I were interested to return but my dog is now situated at a new clinic and is used to his doctors. Overall, if you are looking for a veterinary clinic for your pet, I would recommend (as with any clinic) that you do the research first: Research the doctors, their prices and reviews. Just be sure you know before you go. I thank the business manager for her apologies and her quick replies. She was very polite, apologetic and I know it was genuine. we had to make the decision on 2-27, a Saturday, to put our dog of 15 yrs down. Was the hardest thing we've had to do ever do so far with one of our pets. Dr Obanan was SO kind and sweet, as were the rest of the staff, reassuring us that yes, that for his sake, was best to do. The explained everything to us and we sat with our boy till he was gone, and brought him home with us, it was like he was surrounded by family. We've had nothing but praise and positive comments to friends and family about Medical Lake Vet clinic, and then yesterday, received a condolence card with a hand written message from all the staff and got the eyes watering again, but also reminded me of what a loving family Riley had with him at the end. Don't be fooled by the cute decor. Although this vet offers standard care they are extremely unprofessional in the way they run their practice. The prices change frequently and you are constantly bullied into things you don't need. The average visit is $90. No matter what.My last experience was when I had my puppy spayed. I had received a written quote about a month prior and on the quote it says valid for 45 days. The quote was for $158 when I came to pick my dog up they were trying to charge me $240. When I showed them the quote they brought the price down to $200. They refused to tell me the breakdown until I paid and then I would get a detailed invoice. After I paid and was handed the invoice I could clearly see I wasn't charged the price the quote stated. I had to continue to argue with the very rude employee by the name of Chris. After yelling at me she did give me the refund but only after stating how she was doing me a favor.I will never be back. Read Less

This place is awesome!!! My dog was in really bad shape and they took amazing care of him and he now is able to come home! They called and gave me updates morning and night and I could cal any time and talk with someone about my dog. We have been very impressed with the friendly, professional service our furry friends receive from the doctors and staff at Medical Lake Vet Clinic. Doctors Dutton and O'Bannon are kind and considerate. I know they have many other patients to see, but I always feel like they are ready to listen and take the time to take care of my animals when I call. When my horse had an abscess Dr. O'Bannon came right out, on her day off, and took care of it. She was great! She talked with me about our treatment options, and helped relieve my worries.Read Less

We had to take our beautiful alpine goat in to have a growth on face looked at. Dr. O'Bannan and the staff were fantastic. Amazing! Just moved to the Spokane area. My cat was breathing rapidly and retracting. Called different vets to try to get her in after work. Medical Lake Vet was the only one that said "just come on over." They kept her over night for a partially collapsed lung and bronchitis. Amazing people that work there! Very friendly and caring. So wonderful! I went there to get a check up for our newly adopted cat Mo. Mo is 21 pounds of love and we hope to be able to get him to lose weight. The veterinarian we had was Dr. Obannon and she was so sweet to Mo. She gave us a free bag of cat food to help our very large Mo lose some weight. So pleased with the attentive staff-and I mean to me as the worried pet owner! My Boxer had been sick for a number of days and I needed a vet open early and available as soon as I called. MLVC is so close to base and open 0730 to 1730 ( and a military discount). Not only that but the office itself was so warm and inviting, not bare and sterile feeling like most vet places I've been to. I was able to get updates whenever I called and the ladies in the clinic were always so friendly. I would recommend MLVC to anyone and everyone. This is a vet clinic like no other! We have been taking our dogs to the Medical Lake Vet for years!! We loved Dr. Roloff whom has since retired but we are so blessed and happy that two INCREDIBLE veterinarians stepped in and took over!! My mom has a disability and cannot get around very well and they will come to her for a house visit! The assistants and technicians have always been a pleasure and I'm so confident in the care they provide! I live way up north and I still only bring my dogs to them!
