Great staff, reasonable prices. I wouldn't even think about going anywhere else. Other vets are pushy and try to trick you into spending hundreds or even thousands. Went here for my cat, and now we're coming for the bunny. They're not an exotic pet place, so they can only give a cursory review on the 🐰 health, but he's young, so that's all we need right now. I feel like I have had a similar experience as to the one Jordan had. My experience here is about how I had to bring my cat back in for a 2nd blood draw for a blood test because their machine had failed. They did not charge me for the 2nd blood draw (obviously) however when I arrived there my cat was in obvious distress... and meowing in her carrier. No one was at the counter when I walked in to greet me. I could hear people in the back complaining about a previous patient as well. While I was waiting someone who worked there came in from outside and sort of greeted me as I assume they were returning from their break or lunch. They walked to the back, and all started talking about that previous patient more, and then I heard a can of soda be opened before anyone even came to actually see what I was there for. This was all about a 10 to 15 minute period, so not incredibly long, but extremely poor customer care and compassion. Me and my parents have been going here since before I was born and since then dr bakarat is no longer there and it’s got new ownership and things haven’t been the same since. I took my dog in for a limp a month and a half ago and he gave her some pills for that and it did nothing at all. So I made a appointment again and went in for a thyroid check and also to have him look at her foot again. They said on the phone the thyroid would be 72.50 so I made a appointment and when I got there he told me that her weight was the problem with her limp and that he recommend x rays on both feet for $250!! When last time he knew which leg was limping but this time he “couldn’t tell which leg” and thinking in my head he just told me it’s her weight and if she’s loses weight it will go away. So I tell him no and then he decides to do the blood draw and begins to tell me that the thyroid check is 92.50! And then if it comes back low that he wants another test for 102.50! I’m already hesitant at this point to walk out but I’m already in the room so I stayed. I then go up to the counter to pay my bill and I have a $34 wellness fee.. he did nothing and gave me nothing for my dogs foot. And a 102.36$ thyroid test!! When they first told me 72.50 the. 92.50 now 102.36 so my total bill for a blood draw was $136.36. Now my buddy who goes to a different vet right up the street called murphys corner animal hospital got his dog checked on the exact same day for a thyroid issue and was charged $42.00!! No wellness exam or outrageous price for s blood draw. AND he got the results in less than 15min and got his pills for his dog that day. I, unfortunately am on day 2 and still haven’t gotten my results for my dogs thyroid test. It’s unbelievable the difference on the ownership. I will not be going back! Read Less

Took our cat their for a kidney flush as recommended by this vet. No support from exam given to our cat that it had kidney problem just a diagnosis from the vet that it may be, suggested a kidney flush. Took our cat in as recommended to start a 1st time treatment. With great hurt and disappointment to say, our cat did not survive the treatment. Our cat went in weighing 11.6 pounds. Before we had to put her to rest, she weighed 14lbs. We chose this vet instead of our own vet because time and distance to our vet became a factor. So wish we had made a better choice. Dr Birpal is the most compassionate, kind and knowledgeable vet we€ve ever had. It€s so obvious that he cares about animals, you can see it in his treatment of them when we bring our 3 dogs in. He talks to them, pets them, puts them at ease as well as us. We have an older dog that suffered a stroke and Dr. Birpal sat on the floor while he examined his walk and then continued to sit there with our dog in his lap, comforting and petting him while he spoke with us about treatment options. That spoke VOLUMES to us about his deep compassion for our four-legged friends. The staff at Cedar Plaza are helpful and kind from the moment we enter to the moment we leave and their prices are so reasonable. I would never hesitate to take my dogs to an ER vet should they need it € but for everything else my pups go to Dr Birpal and always will. I know my dogs are getting quality care and I€m not over-paying for it. I€ve recommended many friends to Cedar Plaza and will continue to do so. I like Cedar Plaza vets. They are inexpensive (as vets go), will work with you if costs are an issue, and their care is good. There are plenty of vets nearby who will want you to do all the tests and empty your wallet, but Cedar Plaza will recommend only the test they need to do a decent diagnosis. It is a place you can go if you want good vet care at a good price. I trust their vet skills and judgement--I have friends who are vets, and when I want a second opinion, they concur the Cedar Plaza diagnoses. My family has been taking our pets to this clinic for years and has been the best vet clinic. And all thanks to the lady (wish I could remember her name, believe it was buttar or birpal) but she was the doctor that has been working there recently, my dog has been saved. She did her best and was very caring, never a doubt in my mind she didn't. She helped my small poodle who has heart problems with a simple check up and medications. She has saved my dog and she is no longer in pain, she's hasn't been this active in almost a year. Her heart problems weren't diagnosed in that year or longer. But this lady truly did her best and she saved my dog. Can't thank her and the staff enough I just wanted to thank you guys for all your hard work. My dream is to work there. Such a great environment. Before the diagnosis I came in with my dog and had an appointment later but didn't think she was going to make it and they squeezed me into their busy schedule before her appointment. This place saved my pug's life today. We had to have emergency surgery, and Dr. Pal and all of his staff were so helpful. Although we took a little hit to the pocket book (not as bad as it would have been somewhere else), we got in return reassurance, humor, honesty and a pug that was still alive and well (although snoring loudly). Felt very dishonest and scamming so I took my pets elsewhere. The vet who built the business from 1982 retired and sold it 2.5 years ago. The new vet is using Dr. B's old client files and good rep and not telling people upfront that Cedar Plaza Vet is NOT even close to the clinic ran by Dr. Bacharach. I called to ask simple costs of spay and neuter and was denied pricing. The gal told me I HAD to schedule an appointment to meet my pets and at that time I would be told the prices. This was new. I began to question what is going on and was put on hold 3x. I confronted the girl on the third call and she admitted, no one from the real Cedar Plaza Vets worked there in 2.5-5 years prior. Everyone had left and retired. It was blatant they did not want me to know the practice was bought by a new vet. They were extremely reluctant to give me any info over the phone about the prices or practice. RED ALARMS went off like crazy. When they called me back, the phone id was Moore Bacharach the vet who sold the business and has nothing to do with it. The new vet is so dishonest he does not even have the phone in his name. ***BEWARE*** they run a sketchy clinic, hide their names, and when I got the prices in person. If you are looking for a vet that is reasonable and analytical with a strong sense of what can, could and should be done to care for your animal look no further. This place left me wondering why in the world the doctor here ever pursued a career in veterinary medicine. He just didn't seem to care, I felt rushed through our visit, even though it was a new patient exam, and we had lots to cover, as I just took in an elderly cat with some obvious health problems. I was looking for a relationship like I had with my previous vet in a different state, where me and my pets were known on a first name basis, and the doctors acted as though they had all the time in the world to talk about things with me, even though it was a super busy clinic. Cedar Plaza rushed me in and out of there so fast, I felt like it was a race. I couldn't even think straight with the brusk attitude given me, and felt intimidated to the point where I didn't want to ask questions. I will continue searching for a caring, compassionate vet in my area, and will NEVER GO BACK to cedar plaza veterinary clinic, even in an emergency. That place is awful! Read Less

We have been clients for nearly 20 years. They have been awesome, caring and compassionate. They have nursed our critters through thick and thin and are reasonably priced. When we have had to put an ailing or elderly pet to sleep, they have wept with us. The care of our 4 cats and 2 dogs has been excellent. I recommend them to friends and family. I took my cat here, and it was the biggest mistake I've ever made. He died two days later, and I didn't receive so much as a phone call to talk about what happened or what might have caused his death. Dr. Bacharach seems like he should just retire, he's not interested in what he's doing. I wouldn't have gone back even if my cat had been okay, I didn't feel any love or caring from him AT ALL. The biggest mistake I've ever made, I'll never forgive myself for going there. Try Helping Hands vet instead, where everybody truly cares, and it's worth the wait and kind of hectic environment to have your pet seen by a doctor who wants to help. I also brought my dog here before the fateful visit with my cat, and witnessed the Dr. shoo away their resident cat WITH HIS FOOT! And not gently! What kind of vet would do that? Yesterday I took my dog to Cedar Plaza, where we are clients. My dog was in distress, and in alot of pain. I didnt have an appointment, as it was an emergency situation. I WAS TURNED AWAY! The receptionist is awful, and the female vet is awful. I , however, do LIKE Dr Bacharach, the owner. Luckily my old vet got my dog in immediatley and stabilized him. CP suggested I wait, and ""hope"" they had a cancellation, or take him to the emergency clinic in Lynnwwod, which is hugely expensive. Absolutley NO compassion what so ever from CP. I would think they could have at least LOOKED at him! Maybe check his heart and lungs before turning us away. If you choose Cedar Plaza, please INSIST on seeing Dr. Bacharach ONLY. The other vet would have let my dog die in the waiting room, while we ""hoped"" for a cancellation. I think MOST people would understand that, and not mind waiting for their appt, in an emergency situation. Read Less
