This rating is for a farm call visit. The vet & vet tech they sent were very sweet. Just not helpful very helpful. I had them come to look at Geldings eye which has formed a tiny cloud in it. Nothing useful to say or any insight about it. Took some pictures and told me that she’d give me a call after she would speak with another doctor. It’s been a week and still haven’t heard back. I also had her check his legs because he has been favoring one of them. Again nothing really insightful or helpful to say about it. I just felt the whole visit I had to ask questions for her to give me any information. Just a really expensive visit just for me to still be really confused & worried about my poor guy:( Read Less

Came to this place by accident due to our old vet clinic shutting down. Now I try to refer everyone I know to this Vet Hospital. They treat you like family. My issues with Vets in the past, they always tried to make that dollar out of distressed pet owners. This place will tell you ALL options and they are very knowledgeable. She was very helpful, professional and efficient. The veterinarian, Dr. Engstrom was also very good with my pets and thorough. Although I live in Spokane, I will continue to take my pets to Ponti. Dr. Ponti is fantastic. He knows everything about horses and is so compassionate and understanding. He goes above and beyond to care for animals and will carefully analyze each individual situation to determine the best route of care for an animal. Wonderful vet. It doesn't matter what vet you see, you always get great care. I took my pets here for over 10 years. When we moved to a new state I was sad to have to bring my babies to a new vet. But I still can call when there is a problem and I feel the new vet is trying to rip me off, and ask for their advice based on what information I can relay to them. Judi is extremely friendly and funny and very professional receptionist. Erin is an awesome vet technician, and all of the vets, Jerry, Jamie, Doug, Ruth, are all extremely professional and keep the well being of the animal and the owner in mind instead of worrying about how to fill their own wallets. This is the best place to take your animals. They have helped me and my family for about 10 years now. The staff is very loving and very kind. When my sister had to put her cat down they helped her grieve. I went in with my best friend to hold her while she put her car down as well, it was a sad situation that was handled very gracefully by all of the staff. I've brought in several cats and dogs for minor and major reasons. Each time I have had to go to Ponti they not only help heal your pet but they also help heal the owner and answer all questions. We've been a part of the PVH family for many years. Our pets have always received the best of care there. When one of our dogs suffered a seizure after taking a fall while we were camping near Cheney, we couldn't find a vet in Cheney to help us. Rather than take more time driving to Spokane's Pet Emergency, we drove back to Otis Orchards because we knew the staff at PVH would give our dog the best chance at survival. She received prompt, excellent care and made a 100% recovery. They're the only vet hospital I completely trust with my "babies". Read Less

I love Ponti. They take such great care of my kitties. At the end of my cats life, they help me make the decisions I need to make and they truly feel for my loss. The prices at Ponti are lower than any other Vet in the area, however, the best care is given. I drive to Ponti even though it is about 20 miles from my home. There are probable 30 places closer. The care is quite good but the thing that made me leave Ponti and go to another clinic was the up-selling. I always went in knowing what I needed and was pretty picky about any extra shots or services they told me I "needed." The two times i sent my husband in with the animals, he had a minimum of $100 in extra shots, accessories, or services that i was not prepared to pay for. I told them many times that we were on a tight budget and that never was a concern to them. I knew I was paying higher prices for the convenience of location and the mostly good care, but it just got to be too expensive. Read Less

This is the only place I will take my animals for treatment. They do not give you the run around like other clinics. They are all very nice and are interested in giving you animal the best treatment they can, along with keeping you informed. Though they may seem a bit more expensive than other clinics, in the long run they save you money because they aren't interested in doing what isn't necessary. Dr's Ponti, Engstrom, and Tedrow are AWESOME. Dr. Ponti and Dr. Robinson do horses in addition to small animals; however, if you care about the wellbeing of your horse DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT see Dr. Robinson. He is not confident in his explanations and cannot answer simple(let alone complex) questions about the wellbeing of a horse without hesitation and going back and fourth with his unsure responses. You basically ask him a question and answer it yourself and he ends up agreeing with you. Personally I would never trust a vet that had little or no prior experience with horses until vet school. He treats large animals like a machine. Although he seems to like and care about them, he is obviously not comfortable. After floating my horses teeth, I noticed my horse had bloody lips from incorrectly securing and forcing the mouth clamp used to open the mouth. Then he made excuses for it saying that the little pieces of skin along with the blood were CARROTS!!!!!!Read Less
