He was 30 min late so my appointment got cut very short. He offered to cut my dogs nails during the exam and basically that is all he did besides make me feel very uncomfortable then they tried to charge me $250 at checkout. Homeopathy is quackery in humans, therefore it is nonsensical quackery in animals as well. If you want your pet to live a shorter life than it otherwise could, bring it here to these witch doctors who will charge you vast sums of money for treatments with zero scientific evidence behind them. (Actually, a great deal of scientific evidence against them). Better yet, recognize that these quacks are selling what is essentially a placebo for the pet owner in the form of fake trea…tments, pour your pet a nice dish of homeopathy from the kitchen sink's faucet and achieve the same result for a lot less money. The vets here really care about your animals, and offer more holistic, alternative care than most vets. Since I have often turned to cranial sacral therapy, acupuncture, and homeopathy for treatment of my own ailments, why shouldn't those options be available for my cats? I like that the whole spectrum of options, from "regular" vet care through less usual choices, is brought to bear. My experience has mostly been with Dr. Lisa Reising, though I have had enough appointments with Dr. Larry Siegler to be able to recommend him, as well. There are separate waiting rooms for dogs and cats, and the support staff is all sensitive and wonderful. Read Less

I love the convenience of this Eastside location. I love that there is an established veterinary clinic that offers well and thoroughly trained holistic vets who can offer options to the heavy-handed western medicine (drugs and surgery for every little thing). Unfortunately, the customer service experience was terribly lacking. Like others have experienced, I waited a long long long time after my appointed time to see Dr Reising. Then after the brief time with her, I waited another long long long time to get the follow up instructions and remedies. I was to go back for a followup appointment, but couldn't get myself to continue paying that much money just to get lost in another black hole of time waiting and waiting and endlessly waiting....I can't wrap my head around how this clinic thinks it's okay to keep paying people waiting for 20-30 minutes. And the money they charge borders on outrageous given this poor customer service.Luckily holistic veterinary treatments are getting more popular, and soon we will have many more options on the eastside. Let's hope this prompts the Animal Healing Clinic to up their game and start showing their clients more respect. Read Less

Dr Reising is extremely gifted with Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.  My 13 year old male dog is being treated by her for Cushing's.  She is able to take his existing supplement prescribed by our other doctor and add/change it to make it work.  He remains active and is having a good fulfilling life. Our almost 10 year old female dog is being treated for her autoimmune hypothyroidism.  She was allergic to the levo-thyroxine.  Dr Reising is able to come up with a list of supplements for my girl.  My girl is now a lot more focused and has been able to learn new things (such as Utility Obedience exercises and tracking).  Her thyroid level has not declined since on the supplements and we are waiting for the blood test next month. Dr Reising just saved my cat. I am overwhelmingly grateful to hear him purr again and be himself again!  He is a very young acting 14 year old who went in for a routine dental at a different vet clinic and ended up with the most traumatizing surgery of his life. After a few weeks he was suddenly very ill and his blood work wasn't helpful. Because of her extensive knowledge of symptoms she knew we needed to treat his kidneys. She prescribed herbs and organs and different whole foods for him. It all worked!  He came roaring back after about a week of treatment. She gave so many different suggestions and explained how to prepare the ingredients for him. It was not easy but it was a miracle. I am still in awe of the things that she suggested and that they worked so well. I will always go to her with every pet symptom that comes up for us. Holistic nutrition and healthcare has always been key to my and my family's health. I am so happy to know such a kind and knowledgable veterinarian as Dr Reising for my furrbabies! Read Less

What a disappointing experience! I brought my dog here over a year ago to see Dr. Siegler. Although that was fine, the cost was prohibitive to continue long term. Since our dog started having trouble walking at times, I thought it was time to return for some acupuncture treatments. I made an appointment with Dr. Reising on a Saturday (today). My appointment was for 1:30 pm. I received a call from the Receptionist explaining that she was running late and would I mind coming in 30 minutes later (2 pm)? No problem--understandable. My dog and I arrived a few minutes prior to 2 pm, and the Receptionist said she was just finishing up with another appointment and would be right in and ushered us into a room. We then sat and sat and sat for what seemed like forever. I checked 15 min. later to see what was happening, and the Receptionist checked in with the doctor and assured me it would only be another 5 minutes. 20 minutes later--nobody shows up. My dog is getting very anxious by now. I ask again, and another Receptionist checks in with the doctor and says she'll be right in. I then hear what sounds like Dr. Reising go into an adjacent room with another client. I'm livid! I walked out and let them know this is no way to treat their customers. Our time, especially on our days off--is valuable too.For the amount of money they charge, they could at least offer some water, coffee, tea and make the reception area a little more welcoming (it's tiny for both cats on one side and dogs on the other). The treatment rooms look old and outdated too. Looks like it's time to update your digs doctors.Perhaps they care about animals, but they certainly don't  seem to care about people much. I'm sure they are both quite skilled as veterinary practitioners, but they need to learn a thing or two about treating their customers with dignity and respect.VERY disappointed!Side note (reason for 2 stars instead of 1): I just received a call (from the Receptionist--NOT from Dr. Reising herself) providing me with the name of another Accupuncturist in the area who could treat my dog. It's a nice gesture, but it would have meant so MUCH more to me had she called me personally to both apologize and offer the services of someone else. Read Less

I took my cats here, and now I take my dog here too. Dr. Reising and every vet tech I have dealt with here are kind and compassionate and takes plenty of time to answer all my questions. Here's my slightly emotional testimonial: When my cat Nate (who lived to age 17) developed kidney failure, they taught me to give him subcutaneous fluids at home. As his health failed, Dr. Reising recommended both allopathic and alternative medicine supplements, and gave me written prescriptions that I could take to compounding pharmacies so he could get meds in flavors that he would willingly take. Everyone there really worked with me to keep him comfortable as long as possible, and checked in with me frequently. And when it became clear that he was suffering, Dr. Reising even came to our house to perform euthanasia for my sweet cat so that he would be in familiar surroundings right to the last. And afterward we got a lovely condolence card signed by all the members of the staff. Time passed, and now I'm the proud owner of a puppy, which is a whole different ball game from raising cats.  Everyone here has really been lovely about answering all my questions (even the silly newbie "Is this normal?" ones) and caring for my pup. The facility is very pleasant, and they have separate waiting areas for dogs and for cats, which is a very nice touch. Read Less

Went in for a well check and get to know the vet intake visit for a rescue pup that has not been neutered. I like Larry ok, and I would have considered him as my new pet's vet. But for this, I called to make the appt. the day before and was quoted $260 for the cost of neutering my small dog. That seemed reasonable. and I wanted a holistic vet. At the completion of the intake visit, I was making the appt. for my dog to be neutered. First off they didn't have openings for 4 weeks out? Then as I am imputing the appt. date into my calendar, the receptionist hands me a quote. It shows a cost breakdown and the total is between $750 and $980!!!! Ok. That's just ridiculous inflated over pricing. If he does not like neutering and spaying, JUST say so. I do not need to deal with a passive aggressive vet. It makes me question his integrity. I have taken my extremely allergic golden retriever to Dr. Siegler and had nothing but the best of care.  Other vets told me that my dog would only live to 9 if I was lucky due to his ailments.  Under Dr. Siegler's care he lived until 13 and my dog lived comfortably.  We balanced holistic with regular medicine to preserve his health. I now have taken my other dogs to him and had nothing but the best of care.  He may be an hour late to an appointment because he had been with me answering questions during a distressed time.  Or when he stayed an hour after closing to answer questions from another client.  I never mind if he is late for I know that there is a good reason that has occurred and appreciated it when it was my turn to make him late for someone else's appointment. His staff has always taken care of my calls and been there for me during the easy and tough times.  I have gone to Dr. Reising also and have always been handled with love and care.  I wish I could have him as my doctor.P.S. We have been taking our dogs to Larry Siegler at the Animal Healing Center for 15 plus years. Dr. Siegler is a holistic vet and he is the best. We learned about raw and cooked feeding, not over vaccinating and remedies to support the immune system. They are more expensive, they do run late however the vets sit on the floor and connects with the pet. When it was time to say goodbye to Fred we were treated with music, candle light and fluffy beds and a blanket. I can not say enough about Dr. Siegler, he has and we be the only vet I wil ever use. I have been taking my aging dog to Dr Reising of Animal Healing Center for the last 1-2 years. There are two vets that run this clinic: Dr Siegler and Dr Reising. Dr Reising was our regular vet. We spend thousands of $$ here. Overall, they are expensive and keep you waiting a fair bit. But the reason I would not recommend them is that in the end when it was time for me to stop extending my dog's life with treatment after treatment and let him die peacefully, Dr Reising accepted my euthanasia appointment, then treated it like a consultation suggesting further treatment, then said that while she did not disagree with my decision to let my dog go (my dog had Cushing Disease that switched into Addison's Disease, had been to an ER vet 3 times in the last 2 weeks, was on opiates for spinal pain, worsening murmur, needed to pee every 1-2 hours) she had just ""done too much euthanasia"" and ""personally could not do it"". Yep, that's right...in the end, when my dog really needed a kind vet and I was barely holding it together at the thought of letting my boy go, she did not provide the professional services of a vet nor the compassion of a fellow human being. While she did suggest other alternatives (go to ER as they would do it, call a mobile viet or perhaps the other vet Dr Seigler could do it at the end of his day)..why be a VET? and why accept an appointment for euthanisia - just to see if you can milk some more treatment money from a patient? Well, I was charged the $90 fee for 'consultation' so you decide. Read Less

You know, not nice. Siegler would always sell me something on every visit.  It would always be expensive.  It would never help my dog!!!  When I searched for the same items online, they were a tenth of the price.  I know businesses have to mark up things up but I was constantly being ripped off majorly.  Not to mention that they never helped my dog.  One day after having a seesion with Dr. Siegler.  I walked to the front end & realized I forgot the name of one of the meds he told me to mention to his receptionest.  Conviently the Dr. came out, ready to go to lunch.  I said "Dr.  what was that med you reccommended?"  He looked at me puzzled & said "i'm sorry I don't remember you, remind me of your dogs issues."It had been 5 minutes since I'd seen him with my dog & he'd already forgotten us!!!  Smoking a little too much herb or something.  I feel like he is a con artist, selling stuff that doesn't work & charging in  arm & a leg for it all.So althogh I love the more natural approach & I live in Redmond, I will never go back.  beware. The only reason I brought one of the cats here was because of the free vet certificate I got with him at the shelter. I was very suspicious of the the whole ""natural"" healing bit this clinic seems to advertise. To my surprise they ended up being competent, friendly, and didn't dumb anything down for us. Also, we got some great advice on cat food and general care for our new kitten. Compared to any other vet where they just get you in and out as quickly as they can, they were a lot more helpful and took the time to talk with me about my cat. About the other reviews, I don't think you should expect any miracles like some people seem to. You do have to be a bit more proactive to get them to go with the ""traditional"" approach, yearly shots are an example, but as far as vets go, I prefer coming here and would recommend it to anyone in the area. I went to see a dr Sigler because my kitten has a stuffed nose and he claimed that he can help my kitten without feeding him antibiotics. I end up paying $340 for the kittens nose without any result, it only got worse. Now the nose is running and the kitten has trouble swallowing. Dr Sigler tried to talk me into trying another expensive remedies with no effect. On the end, he suggested same antibiotics. So, now I am back to the same result I would have with any ""regular"" vet, but 10 times cheaper. Dr Sigler was kinda non committal and seems apathetic and disinterested. He spent the visit time mostly lecturing on proper diet, but said nothing new other then information I was able to find on the internet even before the visit. So, If you have some extra money and don't know what to do with it, you may go see this vet. Otherwise, find the vet who cares about animal health, not just money making. Read Less

If my cats HAD to choose their vet, my guess is that they would choose to go here. They stress that a good natural diet is the most important thing to an animal's health and it holds true as going to the vet has become a rare occurance. When there is a problem, they take the time to really get to know your pet, taking notes and asking multitude of questions. Natural remedies are prescribed often along with supplements that assist the body to heal and so with each visit, I leave truely thankful that we have found a place we can take our pets. You may have to wait a while to get your first appointment but it really is worth the wait.

Read Less

Read Less

The good: -Dr. Siegler was pretty good with my dog. The bad: -On my first (and maybe only) visit, Dr. Siegler was ONE HOUR LATE to the appointment. When he finally came in, it was obvious he'd just been eating lunch. Seriously? I've been sitting here for an hour and you knew it. -Dr. Siegler's attitude was halfhearted and rote. I'm not looking for a bunch of shoulder-rubbing, close-talking, head-tilting nonsense. It was just a little awkward talking to him, as he even seemed kind of annoyed to be there. Maybe I got him on an off day... but still, unimpressed. Read Less

For those of you who are looking for a true holistic practitioner, come here! My experiences with him have been very similar to my experiences with my naturopath. Dr. Siegler's knowledge and skill in nutrition, acupuncture, etc is healing my dog in a way traditional methods had failed. I'm so happy I found this clinic. It's 45 minutes from my home and worth the drive. My only complaint is that their services are more expensive than I expected, though I will pay whatever price necessary to care for my old companion if it works. Read Less

I've seen mostly Dr. Larry Siegler and he is always very gentle and loving, and very knowledgeable. I love the intuition and care, the natural solutions to my kitties' concerns. The pricing is above that of a regular vet by about 20%, but it's worth it. I drive to Redmond from Seattle to see these folks. They have great staff and treats for cats an dogs. There are some live in pets here too, and that makes it nicer. My favorite thing about the waiting area is that they have separate for feline and canine. It makes it far less traumatic.Try it out! Give your pets the natural care they deserve. Read Less
