I've been bringing both my chihuahuas here for 5 years. I've never had a problem with any of the staff. They've all been helpful and courteous. I am on a wellness plan with both and it is worth it for the yearly savings on routine vaccinations and teeth cleanings which both my dogs need because chihuahuas are prone to having bad teeth.
It's really surprising to see the recent complaints posted here... as said, 5 years of wonderful experiences with Banfield taking care of my Max and Chloe. Read Less

My wife and I had our dogs paw stitched up. The first vet we saw automatically stated "I don't want to get bit, hold her down." Without knowing anything about my dog and my dog never once bit anyone. We requested another doctor who was more understanding and did the surgery. The same doctor stated that at anytime the bandage gets wet or damaged to come back and get it bandaged. Dealing with the rain and a dog who is curious of the bandage. We returned several times to get it re-bandaged and we get nothing but rude and snobby remarks from the staff. My wife also called on a Sunday to attempt to get another re-bandage and the staff member gave attitude and said "What do you want me to do, we close in 5 seconds." My wife then stated if she could just schedule an appointment during the week. Which seems like something the staff should have done from the start minus the attitude. After 6 more re-bandages and over $900 later. We finally got a recommendation to use a splint instead of the cast as the area of the wound is constantly opening when our dog walks. The recommendation would restrict the paw from opening and should help improve the healing process. If we were provided this recommendation from the beginning, we could have prevented all the extra rude comments/attitude from staff and probably would have saved a lot of money. The only positive is that there is two vets there that we like and only go to, Dr. Hanes and Dr. Welker. Read Less

Just awful. I'm in disbelief that I even just went through that horror. My dog is in heart failure and after several hours of watching his every move, I decided to drop in to see if they could see him and check his vitals. I've never been to this vet before but it was Sunday and they were the only non-emergency vet open. There were several people hovering around the desk for various reasons yet no one in particular seemed as if they were being addressed. I wait for much longer than any grown woman holding a dog in her arms and sobbing should have to wait before I approach the counter and say "I need to see a vet."
One would have thought I'd personally attacked the mother of the woman behind the counter based on the rude tone behind her response of "why?".
I was then told that they have back to back appointments and if I wanted to euthanize my pet right then, I wouldn't be able to go back into a room and be with him but I could just DROP HIM OFF and leave him there.

What the Hell did I just hear?!!
Not only did I never mention euthanasia, I certainly wouldn't treat my dog like my damn dry cleaning if I had mentioned it. I, of course, MUST have heard them incorrectly because this isn't Bizarro World 2.0, after all.
Well, based on the "sorry for the misunderstanding" portion of the conversation, it is confirmed that I did not hear them incorrectly.
I don't know what kind of vortex I entered when I walked into that building that day but I will never be entering it again. Anyone with information as to what lead up to those events on July 2, please contact me. I have started a Facebook group called Bizarro World 2.0. Read Less

I immediately stopped, scooped up the poor baby, and drove her to Banfield. The receptionist their saw me and came out. She was kind and caring and helped me when I could barely speak as I was crying so hard. She said she would cremate her as she was gone by that time. Horrible circumstances but they are amazing. We take both of our dogs to this hospital and love it! Our primary care provider is Dr. Welker, but we have also had amazing experiences with Dr. Jones and most recently Dr. Haynes. One of our pups has been really sick and not keeping everything down, but Dr. Haynes has nursed him back to himself and he is better than ever. The amount of effort everyone at this hospital gives is amazing. I receive a call after every appointment to check up on how my pups are doing after their appointments. I also highly recommend their Wellness plan. It is so nice just paying a small monthly fee to be sure that I can always take my pups into the vet without having to pay out of pocket for anything that is preventative and no office visit charges.
