Our family just moved up from the Vancouver, WA and worked eight the same vet for our dogs for nearly 15 years. This vet became an extension of our family! Working with Dr. Sue Moriyasu and her team was much different and NOT a great experience.
We showed up 15 mins before our initial appointment to drop our dog off at the vet. The vet finally came out to get our dog more than 10 mins after our appointment time. I was then 15 minutes late in picking up our dog at the first appointment due to a family emergency and revived a phone call from the Dr. scolding me. I reminded her that her team was also late in getting my dog in to begin with, so maybe everyone can give it a break... On top of her staff trying to sell me the world with other services for our dog, the meds she prescribed ended up not working.
So ROUND II, two weeks later, of my 2nd experience with Dr. Sue Moriyasu program led me to spend the time to write this post. Another family member took our dog for a checkup as she was still experiencing the symptoms that we originally took our dog to the vet for. On the way to the vets office, they got lost (we are new to the area). The vet called me after the dog arrived at their office and informed me that because we were late to our appointment they would be charging me an additional "Hospitalization Free." Huh? I ended my relationship with Dr. Sue Moriyasu on the spot.
Simply, Dr. Sue Moriyasu is trying to squeeze every last dollar out of her experience with her clients. Talking with her staff was like talking to a time share salesperson and someone who is trying to sell a hot tub at the fair. This is NOT a warm and welcome family environment.
1. The vet prescribed meds that didn't work.
2. The vet tried to sell me things I didn't need or ask for (food, flea/tick meds, nail cutting, etc.)
3. The vet called to scold me because I was late picking up the dog.
4. The vet attempted to charge me another fee because we were late to our 2nd appointment. Read Less

Dr. Hart is affiliated with Fairwood Animal Hospital on Hastings Road in Spoke however this is a small clinic in Fairwood-Renton. I was looking for a vet in Renton so I looked up this animal clinic hoping it would have better reviews since my last visit and sadly it hasnt.
Fifteen years ago, I purchased a Boston Terrier from the Fairwood Pet Center and along with my purchase I received a free health exam at Fairwood Animal Clinic. I figured since the pet store was recommending him then he must really be good so I was excited that I didnt need to go through the trouble of finding a vet myself. The visit was very short indeed. This was my first pricy pup ($800) so I wanted to discuss how I should care for it but after the exam he was ready to leave the room, I could tell he really didnt want to talk to much so I didnt press him further. I left thinking perhaps he was busy or behind schedule so maybe I'll catch him better next visit. I took my pup back for its shots and again, he was in and out and not much of a talker. I chalked it up to a person who could be uncomfortable with people he does not personally know. Thanks for the service but no thanks.
I took my pet to a nearby vet and when I left my jaw was practically on the floor. I found out Fairwood Pet Center sold me a pup that was bred and raised in a known puppy mill; Fairwood Animal Clinic knew and didnt say a word. Why would he? Afterall the pet center recommended him so he was getting some kind of compensation so why would he tell an owner anything? I hope this clinic has unaffiliated itself from the pet store otherwise they have no morals.Read Less

Beyond their proven abilities and knowledge, they genuinely care about their patients and customers. I called one morning for a same day appointment in hopes of a cancelation after a night in the ER with my pit and after quickly explaining the symptoms, got a work call and told them I would call right back. I'm assuming the sheer tone of panic in my voice was the reason I received a call back from them (before I could even call back) and they made adjustments to see me that day. The 7+ years I have been going there have been nothing less than impressive and exceptional. Both my brother and I reccomend them any chance we get. On a side note, the negative comments I read here are laughable, I'm assuming someone either chose the wrong place or are....well...idiots. Read Less

Stay away from this vet, unless you enjoy rudeness and poor customer treatment. I would not trust my animals to this operation, especially after my interaction with the owner. I just moved to Renton from Everett, where we loved our vet. I discovered this one had Hills Science Diet dog food, so decided to order from them. Since my wife is in the hospital, my mom picked it up, and when I got it discovered it was the wrong dog food. I took it back. When I got to their office, the person told me the vet was with a patient, and could not get me change until he came out. I had an extreme schedule, so asked her if it could be done right them, so I did not have to wait too long. The vet said to me as he passed by it is not fair others have to wait. Unfortunately that rudeness after messing up my order was all I could take. The owner blamed me for getting the order wrong. Unfortunately I blew up on him, which is not my standard practice. If the owner can blame the customer for small mistakes like this, I imagine it would be worse with mistakes made on our pets. Read Less

I took my dog here a few times, thinking it was more convenient because I worked in the office complex. I realized after a few visits that close to work doesn't make any sense because my dog doesn't exactly come to work with me before/after his appointments! Dr. Davidson was very knowledgeable and Michelle were friendly and kind, and gave me a nice refreshing approach to caring for my golden retriever. They taught me alot about his swimming habits, how to work with chronic ear infections, and some ways to improve his itchy skin. My only qualms were that they were usually closed for lunch for very long periods, which would have been an ideal time for my appointments. Also, I felt a little bit more "on my own" about tracking vaccines, whereas my previous vet was sending me regular reminders about what vaccines my dog was due for and when. Read Less
