I went to this vet after I got my kitten for my "free" visit from a wonderful shelter. I had to schedule it two weeks out though the animal was sick, and upon arrival they closed the entire office for a staff meeting. I showed 15 minutes early, waited in my car on the phone, and went in only 10 minutes later than scheduled. I was turned away, and my free visit was no longer valid because I was late. Woman behind the counter was very insincere, and the other Women who were clearly vet technicians- if not, clearly worked there- were on their phones while I struggled with my cat to just leave the building... worst customer service experience I've ever had at a vet! This is our primary vet clinic. We have several pets and the staff here know us very well :) The front desk staff, vet tech and DVM's are all excellent. Everyone is nice and personable. Frequently they ask to see pics of our furbabies, ask how everyone is and just seem to genuinely care about us and our pets. The DVM's seem to really love their job and are happy to come to work each day. Unlike some vets where I feel they Re just about making money, running up your bill and seem annoyed that we have questions. This group has always been very responsive to our questions. We've been pleased with their attentiveness,  ease of making appointments, and accuracy of diagnosis as well as the fairness of their pricing. Spring glen is a Wonderful Vet Clinic with staff that feel like family. They truly Love animals and go out of their way to make you and your furkid happy and healthy. I have gone to Spring Glen for over 8 years and even with traffic that used to be 25 min now being more like an hours drive for me, it is truly worth it. On 3/22/16 I emailed the office manager about my most recent bills, offering 2 solutions I would find acceptable to correct what I believed were incorrect/ questionable billings.On 4/28/2016 I received a letter essentially firing my dogs as patients- my original issue (billing me for costs they didn't incur) wasn't addressed; presumably neither solution that I offered was acceptable to them- they simply want me go away. My dog and I really loved our first visit just a few weeks ago! After a fallout with his previous vet, who he had only seen for the last six months concerning his chronic condition he's had for over two years now, my friend recommended bringing him to Spring Glen. The staff were wonderful and my dog really loved Dr. Wolf! She was very understanding of our situation and we both had a mutual understanding that my dog's condition can be controlled without any unnecessary procedures and exams (just like his first vet from out of state did). Very nice staff and We love Dr Wolf. It's so nice that she also has a dashchund so I can relate to her a lot. She answers all my emails promptly whenever I have a question which is so convenient. I saw my coworker one day there and he said he was surprised how they didn't try to charge him for unnecessary things which I completely agree. I can't believe I haven't reviewed them before!  I love my fur babies more than most people so I take their care very seriously.  Everyone in this office is friendly and knowledgeable.  Their hours are easy to accommodate any working schedule and I can usually get appointments pretty quickly.  On New Year's Eve I panicked when I realized I was out of tranquilizers for my dog and the fireworks place her in great distress.  I was able to call an hour before closing and pick up some pills.  Saved my night!  Also, their prices are not out of control which is always a plus with a vet. I called today to make arrangements to bring my mom's cat in to be euthanized. I was shocked and upset with the receptionist; she started out polite but quickly became rude, constantly cutting me off and very dismissive, completely unsympathetic. This is not the Spring Glen Vet I remember, where even the receptionists were very welcoming and kind. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend Spring Glen Vet.Read Less

My pets have been coming here since I was little. I can't stress enough how great everyone here is-from the front of the house to the doctors. I recently called trying to get one of my cats seen that day, but unfortunately they didn't have any openings. They told me that they would call back and get us in if for some reason they had a cancellation that day. About 3 hours later, the ladies up front called back and said they were worried about my cat and if I hadn't taken him anywhere else yet, that they would find a way to squeeze him in. I was so appreciative and it really meant a lot. I was so thankful that thy care as much about my animals as I do. I've been taking my cat to Dr. Hammond ever since she was a kitten. She's a wonderful vet! Before I got my cat, my granny brought her cat here for years and I believe saw Dr. Cummings. My sister also brought her cat here when she moved back from Colorado. This office is kind and professional especially in times of crisis. Examples:My sister's cat ended up having chylothorax around 9 years old. It's a condition where the chest cavity fills up with fluid and it becomes difficult for them to breathe. After being diagnosed by Dr. Cummings, she had her cat's chest drained. A week later, the symptoms returned. Unable to see her normal vet at this clinic, my sister saw Dr. Hammond. Who after a long conversation, drained her cat's chest one more time and let her cuddle before putting it to sleep. The condition had progressed and her lungs had started filling with fluid. Dr. Hammond was honest about the potential treatments and the chance of recovery. My sister, although upset, was happy that it was handled the way it was. The office also sent her a card that everyone signed to let her know they were sorry about her cat. My cat was very lethargic and did not eat or drink for over a day. I called on Monday morning and asked for an appointment. The girl told me that they were pretty full, but that people usually call to cancel or delay appointments for their cats due to difficultly getting them into a carrier. She told me to come in ASAP and they'd see what they could do. We saw Dr. Hammond, who discovered that it was only a fever, although a high fever for a cat. She gave my cat a shot of penicillin (if I remember properly) and made sure that she drank a little before we left. In my rush, I'd accidentally left my purse at home. I drive over 30 minutes to get to this vet. The front desk said that they normally hold your pet there until you pay, but considering the circumstances she let us leave with the promise to call when I got home. I did just that and paid over the phone.Overall a great office with caring people! Read Less

Really glad to have found SGVH. I'd recommend Dr. Hammond then Dr. Cumming. We've had a difficult case with a diabetic cat with pancreatitis. Lots of finessing with different meds over months and he's recovered nicely.Professional staff that might be a little hard-core for some, apparently, but very grateful to have found these guys. Dr. Cummings is amazing. She is so nice and caring towards my dog. My dog is a little agressive and she's super afraid of the vet but Dr. Cummings was not scared of my dog and she totally understands my dog's behavior. She always made sure  I understand what is going on and took the time to explained to me. She always asked if I have any other questions and try to educate me as much as possible. What can I say about Spring Glen and my vet, Dr Wolf? This is a rare clinic because they offer all the most current diagnostics and treatments, yet they do not pressure you or upsell during your visit. Arrive at the front door and you'll notice a separate lobby for cats and dogs- this really reduces stress for everyone. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful and there are enough staff that you aren't waiting. They get you back to a room quickly, so your pet can relax while waiting for the doctor. They run on schedule, and you never feel rushed. I have two rescue cats and a dog and I have had Dr Wolf as my veterinarian for 10 years (before she was at Spring Glen) and I highly recommend her. I recently came to this vet and was very disappointed. The receptionist was not helpful at all, and worse the vet I had barely Looked at my dog. It seemed like she was In a hurry to leave the room. When I emailed them to notify them of third lack of customer service, thief response was basically "sorry,and good luck at your next vet" very unprofessional. Four years ago our then 3 year old cat became very ill and we took her to see Dr. Wolf. We are happy to say that Belle is now 7 and doing so well thanks to Dr. Wolf!! She is the most caring doctor and gets down to business but is so compassionate at the same time. I really loved their service. My coworker recommended me to them since I had a bad experience with Banfield. I was a bit early but Dr. Hammond showed up earlier just to help me out with my cat. My cat had these spots on her left eye and I was afraid that it might be a tumor (according to the internet source). Dr. Hammond updated her vaccination shot and checked her eye and she said it's just freckles that were formed by pigments which was a relief. And guess what? SHE DIDNT PESTER ME! She didn't "recommend that mittens has to take extra exams" or "we think she has heart murmur" etc etc like Banfield. They didn't harass me one bit. She just went straight to the point and that was that. And I loved it. They also trimmed her nails (which came with the visit) and it came up to about $82? Which is awesome because Banfield charged me monthly AND every other office visits which cost me over $100 every time I visited them. I recommend this vet! Also, they gave me a huge bag of freebies to try out such as cat food that clean tarter off their teeth (which I might buy). Great service, great staff, and no pestering! Read Less
