Dr. Castor is incredible. She saw my cat between surgeries and was concerned because he wasn’t using the litter box. She sent me immediately to get his bladder unblocked and only did so because she couldn’t see him then. Her office called me several times. I was told I might have to put my cat down and she called her colleagues for a second opinion. She asked if she could text me later and wanted follow ups as well. Have had Dr. Aimee and Eudora over to my apt. 3 times now for my two cat friends, and their care & affinity for cats is obvious. They are quiet, calm and calming. If you want a jovial, gregarious vet, look elsewhere. If you want a PRO with cats, who is probably part cat herself, call Dr. Aimee. She talks me though options for even routine care and answers all my questions thoroughly.Today one kitty was sick and even though it's Sunday, I was able to get an appointment no problem. During the gentle exam, which took place on the floor due to kitty's extreme illness, Dr. Aimee became VERY alarmed. She actually appeared physically in pain and internally very agitated, though she stayed calm and collected outwardly with cat and me. She called ahead to two ER's to find one that could take us right away, spoke to the doc there directly, printed up notes for me to take, packed a bloody urine sample up in a bag, and got me out the door efficiently, even as I started melting down in her lobby. She asked me to keep her updated and didn't charge me a penny.This woman's empathy for cats is so apparent. It appeared that she was actually experiencing some of my cat's pain and was as concerned for us as we were. I thank Dr. Aimee and her team with all my heart and trust that all kittos will live much better lives with their help!(My kit is in hospital now and needs surgery, but would have died today without City Cat's services. I was truly astounded by the level of service.  Maybe I'm used to crappy interactions coming from the Bay Area, but Lauren booked me right away and didn't give me the feeling that I was inconveniencing her, quite the contrary.  Dr. Aimee was kind and informative.  She asked a lot of questions to find out how my 9-year-old was doing and how had he been previously.  The clinic gets points for spacing out the appointments properly so that each client can spend ample time and not feel rushed out of the door.  A really exceptional experience. A real 5 star place! I was able to fill out all the necessary forms on the web. Easily booked an appointment. The price was the same as listed on the site. The workers are engaging and warm.Now my cat is a shy cat. He doesn't even like other people looking at him. The way Aimee handled him was stellar. Was able to check him out quickly, took samples of his ear wax, and showed me how to use the medication. The entire time Aslan was controlled and surprisingly calm. Dr. Castor really explained to me what was going on with Wookie without making me feel like a bad cat mom. I can now identify behavior and other symptims before the problem gets out of hand again. She explained why she perscibed certain drugs and what to expect after the treatment. And of course she followed up with a catnip treat for Wookie! We have a very anxious and fearful (rescue) kitty that has made past vet visits (at other clinics) very stressful for all of us. We found City Cat through a recommendation and are so grateful for their mobile vet service. They came out to our house and were able to assess, vaccinate and treat our scared kitty - something that we've not been successful with in the past! Both the veterinarian and her assistant were calm and professional. They used special handling techniques to position her in ways that allowed for assessment (and avoided everyone being scratched/bit). She took the time to go over kitty nutrition with me and helped me understand what kind of food I should be feeding her. This vet is seriously the most thoughtful and kid vet I've ever been to. If you care about you cat this is the one. My 19yo kitty was deteriorating fast in her last month and they were there for me and helped me through the end. I'm glad that I chose them to help with the care of my best friend. I'm pretty sure they even stayed open late to make sure that she was cared for till the end. If I get another cat they will be the vet that I choose. Read Less

My kitty had to undergo PU surgery and the thought of having to pack him up and drive him to his checkup post-surgery was stressful on top of everything else we had gone through with his surgery. I made an appointment with Mobile All City Cats and they came to me. They were excellent in answering all my questions, suggested food after the prescription diet, and even brought a catnip mouse for him to play with. I'd highly recommend this if you need to get your cat seen, but don't want to put them through the car ride to the vet. Just be aware of their limited hours. Read Less

City cat came to my apartment today to give my Joey a checkup. Joey has issues with vets, so I had given up on taking him regularly; something I have been feeling really guilty about... When he seemed to be a bit constipated, I decided to was time for a checkup. Having the team come to you is such a relief if you have a cat that has extreme carrier anxiety. Also, Joey had some adverse actions to his shots the last two times i took him to a vet, so he has some negative associations. I was quoted $99 for the house call, and $58 for the exam. Everyone was great with Joey even though he did not give them an easy time. I was surprised to find that my final bill was $281, an additional $124 for a "senior feline" fee and the cost of the blood work, so my final bill was nearly two times moreThan what I was originally quoted. I wish they had explained that before doing the services. Aside from that, they got through a pretty tough situation trying to scan joeys chip (he was NOT having it!) and was thorough in explaining his dietary needs. I think joeys emotional post-vet recovery time (lol i know, I'm totally a CCL with him), was much faster because he got to stay in his space. Just a few hours later he was happily playing with the mouse they left for him. Very happy with the experience overall :) highly recommend! Read Less

I cannot completely express how much I adore the staff and Dr. Aimee. We took our first little furry friend to her 3 years ago, and being a new cat mom Dr. Aimee was so eager to educate me on how to do the best for my kitty. The clinic itself is in an older house so it was welcoming when we came in, and they didn't mind letting my kitty walk around in the waiting area a bit before the appointment. When he got more comfortable in the new space it made the appointment a breeze! When we brought our second (and newest) kitty to see Dr. Aimee he had a much harder time getting comfortable....so, they were wonderful and we did the whole exam on the floor in a pile of blankets. Part of the reasons I selected City Cat was because they also offered in-home visits; I haven't used that service yet but knowing that I don't have to change vets if I ever have a kitty too sick to leave the house. My cat nanny took my cat here for me (which they are fine with) for a second opinion from a bad vet visit. I was able to book the appointment online (which is so amazing because I have phone anxiety), and filled out the new client and new patient forms online which were really quick and easy. They did a thorough exam and caught things that none of his previous foster parents, owners, or the humane society seemed to notice. They accepted the free exam certificate that the humane society which was a plus. They seemed knowledgeable about my cat's cerebellar hypoplasia which is a big plus. They were able to recommend helpful things, give him meds, and even gave him a free blanket, toy, and pill pocket treats. I'm waiting to get emailed the summary of the visit, but I'm very impressed and loved that I was able to get my cat treated pretty quickly and easily and somewhat hands off.Read Less

City Cat offered an appointment at my preferred time, confirmed it, and reminded me of it, setting my comfort level very high, especially after being burned some other time by another vet. They ran early, and called to ask me whether they could come already. I appreciated that very much. Dr. Castor arrived with two colleagues. We discussed our cats, reviewed medical records, and she made suggestions for shots and other treatment. They handled the skittish cats with great diligence and affection; one of the cats was completely calm (unheard of) and the other settled down once he was with the vet. Dr. Castor advised me on best feeding and possible approaches to dental care combined with feeding. The conversation was more in-depth than I've ever had with any vet, with much more detail in explanation and practical suggestions. I finally feel I can get a handle on my cats' weight issues. I very much liked the deeply committed, caring, highly professional tone and approach. The cost was very reasonable. The cats scooted when they were done with their shots, but as soon as the team had left, they were out and about sniffing things and checking the scene instead of sulking under the bed for hours - they also seemed quite comfortable with City Cat.
