The link on google takes me to the vet's site. I signed up for an appointment and went to the vet at the indicated time. I waited in line 15 minutes. It was hot (like 5-10 degrees too warm), loud, chaotic, and understaffed. When I finally got help it turns out there are two different vet facilities named nearly identically 15 minutes apart from each other. The web site Google showed near my house goes to the web site for the vet near downtown. So tip to anyone who works there who happens to read this: when you call people back to confirm an appointment, please make sure they understand you have multiple locations and they are making an appointment with who they think they are. Cannot say enough great things about Four Paws. Before moving to Seattle, we had always taken our pets to a family member who was our vet - so, we were a little skeptical about finding someone new. A friend recommended Four Paws to us, and we are so glad they did! Everyone is so friendly, very knowledgeable, and always sweet to our pup when we come in. They call with updates as needed and even call the day after an appointment to check on our pet and make sure they're okay. We highly recommend Four Paws to anyone who is looking for a new vet! Yesterday, we went to Four Paws for the first time. I just moved to the area and was nervous about finding a new vet who would a) provide great treatment, b) not make my anxious dog more anxious and c) not charge me for things without outlining them first. I took both of my dogs there for exams and vaccines. The staff were wonderful with the dogs, taking care to reduce the anxiety of a typical vet visit by providing treats for both, and toys to occupy my 12 w/o pup. Dr. Miller did a thorough exam on each of them and took the time to talk me through minor concerns that she had, as well as provide further reading on the vaccines we were considering. They also gave me a price list before moving forward with treatment, even for something as routine as vaccines and flea medication. I understand what others are saying about the clinic being expensive, but there were no surprises and for the care we received I'm happy to pay. Read Less

If I could give them 100 stars I would. The staff is delightful, attentive, and accommodating and Dr. Miller is an absolute gem. We first visited Dr. Miller towards the end of my dog's life, after years of medical issues and a chronic injury. To her immense credit Dr. Miller read (and remembered) my dog's LENGTHY medical records before our appointment. She also came prepared with print outs describing the conditions and medications we would review together, knowing that its a lot of information and easy to forget, especially when emotions are high. We've seen many competent and caring vets, but Four Paws has set a new standard for us. When it was time to say goodbye to our beloved pet Dr. Miller and her vet tech came to our home and performed the euthanasia in the comfort of our backyard. They were patient, compassionate and nurturing to us as well as to our dog, and we feel there is nothing more you can hope for in a Vet. Read Less

It is difficult to summarize the countless ways in which Four Paws sets a new standard for veterinary care. Dr. Erin Perotti-Orcutt almost intuitively diagnosed every problem my cat Tootie has ever had. The real trouble began around 2009 with hyperthyroid and Bowen's Disease. The thyroid was treated successfully (though not terribly well by a specialist at another clinic) with radioactive iodine. The Bowen's disease continues to be a problem under treatment, but does not significantly impair Tootie's quality of life. A short time later, my cat began howling in misery. I figured that would be her demise. Dr. Perotti-Orcutt instantly realized it was a ruptured disc and referred us to a gifted acupuncturist. Relief was immediate. In 2012, Dr. Perotti-Orcutt detected an "incurable" stomach lymphoma. Tootie was so ill I thought she'd die the day she was diagnosed.  Dr. Perotti-Orcutt referred us to Dr. Sarbu who said the average life expectancy for that kind of cancer with chemo was 6-8 months. Nearly 4 years later, after years of chemo, Dr. Sarbu said she's never seen a cat with that cancer live that long.  Tootie is almost 21 years old and still eating plenty of food. I attribute Tootie's longevity to several factors. Dr. Perotti-Orcutt's excellent diagnostic skills caught everything early and accurately. Her excellent referrals permitted generally terrific care. Most important, Dr. Perotti-Orcutt knows when to intervene and when to leave things alone. We treated some things and left others alone. I'm convinced that may be the primary reason Tootie has lived this long and this happily with so many diseases. A few words about the clinic as a whole. I swear this is the only competent  clinic in town. For awhile I was picking up medicine and supplies at clinics closer to Queen Anne (where Tootie lives.) Every other clinic managed to screw up the prescriptions. And every other clinic charged 50 to 100% more for the same stuff. Not to mention the concerned, competent, friendly, and knowledgable staff at Four Paws.I'm not exaggerating to say that without Four Paws, Tootie would have been gone years ago. You can't do any better than Four Paws. Read Less

The experience and service was fine, but they do try and up-sell you products which I don't appreciate. They also threw the kitchen sink at my dog's belly rash...they prescribed three different pills and a spray AND highly recommended we get an allergy sensitive shampoo which, luck would have it, they sell on site. All in all the visit cost me $240....and my dog's rash came back within a month. I would like to support a local business, but not everyone who lives around Seward Park is a millionaire, so I'll be going to Petco or somewhere else that is budget friendly from now on.Read Less

I had an amazing vet out of state and when I moved here this was more important than finding a doctor for myself.  It is a very hard thing to find a good vet and to be honest I already had issues with two other vets in the area.  I got lucky finding this place thanks to fellow Yelpers! You know those people who always have questions, well that's me.  If I have a question I would like an answer and that is what I get at Four Paws!  They are always patient with me... All of the staff are polite and professional... the people at the front desk, the vet assistants and the vets will not only explain things but will do so until I am satisfied.  Thank you!My dog comes every two weeks to get his nails trimmed and I like that they weigh him each time.  You know how dogs don't like to sit still, but they still do it.  I appreciate that, especially since I want to keep an eye on his weight.  Pugs have a tendency to bulk up, so I want to keep my little guy fit.The one thing that's a bit difficult on me is that all of the chairs are park benches made of wood and metal and I have a back injury that makes it very hard to sit in benches like this. There is a nice waterfall on the waiting area which is nice and relaxes you as you wait.  They have free coffee and tea which is nice since I don't drink coffee. There is parking in the lot at the front of the building which is nice.  I will update this review as needed.  Thank you for taking care of Pugsly Four Paws! Read Less

The staff is really nice from check-in to check-out.  The receptionists are always nice.  My first visit, the technician walked my dog around the block with me to catch a urine sample.  They follow up by phone after your in-house visit and show real concern for the well-being of your pet.  They will fill out your pet insurance forms.  I don't find them pushy about services like my last vet's office, where I walked out feeling like I had just gone car shopping.  I've seen two of the vets there, and they seem very competent and pleasant.  I'm glad to have found this vet office.

Read Less

I went here for the first time today with my dog. Wonderful staff and I trust the Doctor completely. And as an additional bonus - one of the tests I had done was 1/10 of the price that was done on my dog last week at VCA in West Seattle. Will be transferring all of my pets' records here and will be going to Four Paws exclusively. Four Paws will be my new veterinary clinic. Read Less

Four Paws is totally out of my way, in a completely different neighborhood, 20-something minutes away, and despite having several, more conveniently located vet clinics at my doorstep, I take my pets to Four Paws.I have somewhat of a special needs dog- a nearly blind, skin-problem suffering, kidney compromised, senior Yorkie. Four Paws provides me with everything I am seeking in a vet- a constructive, personable and compassionate experience with caregivers in which I wholeheartedly trust with the lives of my precious furry children.Out of all the vets I've been to in the Seattle area, Four Paws has been by far my favorite. Had our first visit to Four Paws today, they were wonderful... Just wonderful...My pup Shine is very timid at vets, and new people (mostly men), but they were able to go slow, and made her as comfortable as possible, even with a male veterinarian. They were very thorough with everything. And also not pushy about add ones or anything, which is very appreciated.Plus its a 20min walk from my house, so allows me to get my pups energy out while heading there. Its just perfect!
