They take care of my pup quickly and professionally. I really appreciate they don't try to make you pay for things you don't need. E.g. we took my dog in for a dental cleaning recently and the vet called me after dropoff and said that honestly my dogs teeth were fine, and she didn't recommend we do it. We absolutely love this place. All the doctors are so wonderful with such a deep passion, love and understanding for animals. We have been going to Dr Edwards for 4 years with our cat and before that with our dog towards the end of her life. I absolutely love Dr Edwards. She is understanding, realistic and genuinely cares for our cat Enzo. She remembers everything too, tiny details that will come up throughout conversation. She always is transparent about costs too which we greatly appreciate. We also sadly had to put our 15 year old pug down a few years ago and Dr. Edwards was the doctor and she was everything we needed in that moment in saying goodbye to our baby. We have been coming here for years and every single one of the docs is someone I would trust with my pets. We have two dogs and a cat, and the whole staff here is welcoming and caring. Never once have they tried to sell me on a procedure that isn't necessary (I have had vets try to do this in the past) and their pricing is reasonable. The front desk staff is always friendly and efficient, even when it's busy, and they made me feel at ease when my new puppy was screaming (not hyperbole--he's known as the screamer now) in the lobby. It took us a while to switch vets when we moved, as we had been with our previous vet for over 30 years, and we trusted them completely.After starting with one vet in NE Seattle that we chose not to return to, we started going to NE Vet Hospital.  They were highly recommended by a friend.We have taken 3 of our pets to them, and have received the absolute best, most compassionate care possible.  It is a relatively large practice, and we like all of the 4 vets that we have had so far.  We don't have a favorite, because they are all great.  The hours are fantastic for those of us who have demanding full time jobs.  I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality, compassionate care at a good price that is also very convenient for evening and weekend appointments. I think you know you've found a good veterinary clinic when you enjoy your visit as much as your pet.We brought our 4-month old Dogue de Bordeaux, Atticus, to NE Veterinary Hospital to establish care. What a wonderful experience!!  He was apprehensive at first, but after several treats and a barrage of love from the super friendly staff, he was sold -- and so were we. The Dr. was very kind, patient, and personable. He answered all of our questions and it never felt rushed or "conveyor-belt", like we were just one of many in a long queue. Extremely impressed. The entire staff and doctors were so gracious!They do care about your animals and take their time. Terrible experience. Do not bring your pet here if you love them. I brought my cat to Northeast Veterinary Hospital with issues back in February. They did not catch the fact that he had struvite crystals - they simply treated him for a UTI and neglected to inform me that it could be anything more serious or that I should watch for future issues. When he developed problems again in April, they delayed in seeing him and did not treat the situation like the emergency that it was. By the time I got him to the professionals at the emergency vet, he ended up needing extensive surgery, two blood transfusions and then went in to heart failure because of all of the associated stress. He is now on three daily heart medications and is lucky to be alive. He certainly would not be alive had I not had a way to come up with the $10,000 (and counting) that it took to save him. For someone renting in Seattle on a nonprofit salary, this was a huge burden. All of this could have been avoided with the proper care back in February. I now know that this issue is easily fixed with a special diet when addressed at the first sign. And to top it off, a full month after all of this happened, they still have not reached out to me to ask if my cat is alive. I regret trusting this vet. Please learn from my experience. Read Less

Dr. Fisher is the best, as well as the rest of the staff at NE Veterinary hospital. I inherited a 30 something year old eastern box turtle a year and a half ago; it has been a learning experience for sure. Dr. Fisher has been so kind, knowledgeable and patient. He has an amazing understanding of my crazy little guy. He not only has shown my turtle great care but helped teach the best ways of keeping my very finicky pet healthy. Absolutely disgusted is all i can say. I have been a loyal customer at this hospital for 40 years and over the years have brought 7 of my animals to them. Recently my cat has been diagnosed with diabetes, thyroid issues and partial loss of kidney functions. They sent my cat home without proper care to keep it simple. After figuring out what to do and getting what i needed from them to take care of him i did have a massive bill, i tried to pay half and told them they'd have the rest on the first of the month and they refused to take it because they'd rather get after me for the entire bill in the long run. They've always made me feel as though its all for the money with no genuine concern or care for my animals or what i was going through. Took my buddy in because he was having some skin issues due to an allergic reaction. They were very good in their handling of my dog and explained the treatment options and future preventative care. I did not feel rushed, but still received prompt service since the moment my appointment began. And best of all I didnt receive hidden fees on my bill at the end of the visit, it was all very transparent. I also wanted to praise their assistance with follow ups to the initial appointment. I ended up needing two prescription adjustments and they accommodated both without charging for extra appointments for the visit. Thanks again! If you love your babies you won't take them here. They killed my cat with off label use of a dangerous drug that stays in the body for over 65 days. I didn't even want my cat to have this drug and they never informed me of known serious side effects and reactions. When my baby started having these reactions they diagnosed otherwise and started the long painful road to death. Read Less
