I cannot speak highly enough of every single person at Phinney Ridge Animal Hospital. In my opinion they are the best general care vet in the area. I have been to a few other vets closer to my home but ultimatley decided on Phinney for my dog's primary care - not just for their expertise but also for the fact that they go above and beyond without fail. My rescue dog Fitz gets very stressed out seeing other animals (usually pretty hard to avoid at a vets office). But at Phinney they do everything they can to ensure as smooth of an experience as possible. The cost seems on par with other locations but they are very respectful of financial considerations when making vet care decisions. I also love how clear and informative they are to ensure I can make the best choices regarding my dog's care. When Fitz has had situations going beyond standard care they have partnered with other locations / specialists to ensure that information is shared freely and everyone is up to date on current the current situation. From the front desk to the technicians and vets themselves - I have never met such a caring group of people. I highly recommend this location. Read Less

This has been my family vet for over 20 years, helping me make sure my fuzznuggets have happy, healthy, lengthy lives and always providing education and peace of mind when needed. Dr. Henkle has been the primary vet for seven of my cats over the years, and I am so appreciative to have a vet that the kitties and I all know and love. Everyone is kind, caring, and knows their stuff; I know I can rely on them to be a trustworthy resource for any pet related issue, big or small. …They have been there for me countless times over the phone to guide me in the right direction and connect me to the vet when needed. They often call to check in/follow up if they know something is going on with one of my animals (even when I've had to go to the e-vet), and have been so compassionate and caring when I have had to make tough decisions or say goodbye. I have never even thought about going anywhere else. I am 100% sure they have our best interest in mind. Еще Read Less

To give you an idea of how negative my experience was at Phinney Ridge Animal Hospital this is the first google review I've ever felt compelled to write. I've had bad service and experiences, but what occurred today borders on negligence. I brought my 6 yr old Pomeranian in because he's been having accidents inside the house (normally very well house trained), and seems to be overly thirsty. When I called their hospital to make an appointment I told them these exact symptoms. All I was told was to bring him in and they would have his records transferred from his old vet since I just moved to the area. When I arrive, the first thing they ask if he's used the bathroom because they'll need a urine sample. I informed them that he just went on the walk from the car - I could have easily prevented this by carrying him. After talking to the veterinarian she further explains that they need a urine sample because the symptoms sound like it could be a UTI. Since after a walk we were unable to get a sample, they try using a catheter. At this point, I'm sitting in the front office hearing my dog Arlo scream in pain, knowing that it's probably in vain, and could have easily been prevented if I was informed he shouldn't use the bathroom before arriving. I won't go into the details of the rest of my negative experience, but long story short I was promptly charged almost $200 and given an empty cup to get the sample on my own and bring it back. I expressed my displeasure and in response given little to no apology as the person I spoke to rolled their eyes back. In retrospect, I should have probably assumed they may need a urine sample along w/ a blood sample. But when I have ever gone to the doctor personally, or another vet hospital for my dog and a urine sample was required, I was always informed to lay off using the restroom before. Furthermore, it's not a usual situation for me, all I'm thinking about is getting my pet to somebody that can help him. THEY ARE THE EXPERTS AND SHOULD ADVISE ACCORDINGLY. This occurred earlier today. Now I'm left with a dog that was unnecessarily put through pain using a catheter, and needing to collect a sample on my own which I'll take to another vet. I've already requested they send the blood results to another clinic once they arrive. Read Less

Very friendly and accommodating. Adopted a rescue cat with several health issues. The Vet was so very thorough and gave me options for me to choose due to finances. She acknowledged my concerns and addressed all of them. I arrive without a cat courier because the shelter courier that was given to me was far to small to get my cat into without traumatizing him and turning my upper limbs into hamburger from my cats nails. They offered me a cardboard box, but soon found me a larger cat carrier to donate to me. I was on tight funds so the carrier was a true blessing. Can't say enough good things about them. I left a message during business hours and my call was returned in under an hour, very impressive. Thank you all for your wonderful support and friendliness. Street parking is easy on Greenwood. I recently moved to Seattle, and was looking for a vet in my neighborhood. Phinney Ridge Animal Hospital had good reviews, so I set up an appointment for my two elderly cats for a wellness exam. Unfortunately, one of my kitties got very sick and we had to make a visit to the emergency vet. All the paperwork was faxed to Phinney Ridge. But right before our appt at Phinney Ridge, my little sick kitty started to have mild seizures. But when I called Phinney Ridge and told the receptionist that my kitty was in the middle of a mild seizure, she interrupted me and said: "Yes. We've got all the paperwork for your cat. That's more appropriate for an emergency vet. And you aren't 15 mins early for your appointment, so we wouldn't be able to see both of your cats today anyway." I was shocked. I didn't ask if they would be able to see both my cats. Why would I care if my sick kitty is having a seizure? I couldn't say anything, other than "That wasn't my question. But, OK. Thank you. Good bye." Absolutely no empathy or concern. Phinney Ridge Animal Hospital was 5 blocks from my house (as compared to the emergency vet which is miles away). I had an appointment. My kitty was sick. Why push us away? Tuns out what she said ISN'T TRUE. You need a primary vet REGARDLESS of how sick your pet is. I believe turning us away from our appointment was unethical. I have since gone to another local vet who has been so empathetic, caring, and supportive. Read Less
