We spent more than $1,500 on blood tests, exams, fecal tests, shots and every time they told us my dog was fine. LUCKILY this time we took her to northwest animal hospital. Immediately they took blood and KNEW something was wrong. She now has been diagnosed with pancreatitis and has been hospitalized for over a week. Do NOT bring your pet/pets here! I brought my dog in about two weeks ago to see how much it would cost to have a couple of masses removed (follicular cysts) from my basset hound, Dr.Tran asked to have fluid extracted from the masses a cost of around 230 dollars, she then called me 2 or 3 days later saying that they are chunks of skin that have hair in side and are inflamed and the proceeded to tell me that she'd send me the estimate in a "couple of hours" to which I said okay. I made appointment to get my kittens neutered and spayed, I have 3 boy Bengals and 1 female. They are 13 weeks old. I was told they did this and no problem just need to be at least 2 pounds which they are. I even received the follow up phone call as a reminder to take the food and water away by 8pm the previous evening. I get my kittens loaded up on carriers drive 45 minutes to the clinic only to have them say they do not do kittens, they need to be 6 months old. Now I am pissed, because I fully disclosed what kind of kittens they were, the current age and the age a time of spay/neuter. Never once did Alexis or anyone on the staff let me know that there would be a problem. The vet even came out this morning and said she isn't comfortable doing such young kittens. What the hell kind of vet are you if you can't neuter an kitten, I even know this is a local procedure and not a big deal. The Spay is more of a surgery yes but can still be done. I would not recommend going to this clinic or seeing this vet ever, especially if she can say well I just don't feel comfortable...what if your animal was sick or injured is she not going to feel comfortable then. BAD BAD SERVICE, I plan on putting how bad they are out in the Cat show world and the news will spread far and wide. I suggest you get your staff straight and get everyone on the same page. We recently moved and did not have a local vet for our two dogs. Value Pet Clinic was recommended to us by the Humane Society and the closest location to us was the Shoreline location. We have two dachshunds; one began having seizures in March and then rapidly began to lose weight but didn't appear to be suffering at all. Then one day he quit eating and drinking water altogether and was clearly in pain. We made the difficult decision to end his pain and suffering and have him euthanized. We called the clinic and headed over. Our dog passed away in my lap on the way to the clinic. When we got there they had a room waiting for us so we didn't have to sit in the waiting room. The vet came in and checked for a heartbeat and confirmed he had passed. All VPC employees we encountered were so sincere, gentle with words, and seemed to truly care and understand and gave us time to say goodbye. We've gone here for a few years with our dogs, and they've always been great.  I appreciate the affordability and the lack of "up-selling" that I've experienced at other vets.  I've owned several weiner dogs and have had vets seem horrified that I'm not willing to pay thousands of dollars for back surgery on 13 year old dogs, but instead patience and some steroids.  But when the time did come for my 15 year old doxie due to nasal cancer they were great - very compassionate and factual.  No up-selling unnecessary tests, just great palative care and a suggestion for in-home euthanasia (which, by the way, is worth every penny if you can possibly afford it).  So when my daughter's guinea pig unfortunately had a very sad accidental encounter with a visiting dog, we gave her some time to heal.  However, it became obvious that she had a spinal cord injury and would not be able to recover, we called them up to see if they would be able to help.  While they don't treat guinea pigs beyond clipping nails, they do offer euthanasia for around $40.  A friend of mine had an accident with a hamster (its cage-mate attacked it) and ended up spending $150 for a vet to look at it and euthanize it.  Value pet clinic was compassionate, kind, and even brought in a little basket with a soft blanket for our beloved piggie to lay in.  We had four crying children with us, and they gave us a private room as soon as we walked in and even tucked the little guy into a small box for us post-euthanasia that we brought to bury the little guy in.I've been to plenty of more costly vets and I don't think they offer better care - just trying to guilt you into paying more money for the pets that we love.  It is a little annoying not to be able to make appointments, but otherwise they've been great. Let's face it. There are times when you cannot afford a full-priced vet. You love your furry friends but funds are tight. Just because you can't afford the usual vet, this doesn't mean your animal companions should receive substandard care. Pet owners and their pets, just like patients, should receive good care from caring individuals. I am writing my review while in an exam room, here at the vet's office. Thus far, I have been impressed with the kindness and friendliness shown to my MIL by the front office staff all the way to the techs in the back. My MIL was concerned about her cat who hadn't eaten or used her litter box in a couple days. She called ahead and learned there wasn't a lengthy wait. We arrived and sat in an empty waiting area. The seats were clean and the lobby had no overpowering smells. There were magazines to read and a toy box for kids. Within 10 minutes of arriving, we were shown back to an exam room by a tech who weighed her cat and took her temperature. The vet saw us within 30. I imagine that would have been faster, had we presented with an urgent or emergent issue. Right now the cat is having a blood/urine draw and we should have results by day's end. Before any work was done, the vet wrote up several treatment plans based on urgency and the tech explained which services could wait versus ones that should be done today. I didn't feel any pressure of a hard sell, in fact, they were very patient with her. My MIL has a fixed income so I appreciated their honesty and directness without any side-eye because they were a "discount" vet. Parking was plentiful and those with mobility issues should be able to enter/exit with no difficulty. Read Less

The worst vet ever. Wanted to put my dog to sleep to examine her... said she was aggressive. Tried it again same vet refused to see her. She saw many vets inbetween these visits with other clinics.  Then refused to fill a medication because the vet had not "seen" my dog. The vet "saw" her but refused to examine her. She now goes to Banfield and zero problems! Ear cleanings. Teeth cleanings, etc...... comprehensive care and they don't run out of medications like they do at value. Read Less

Not a fan! Cost me $65 just to have an eye infection treated for my 14-yr old shih tzu. Come to find out, all they gave me was essentially neosporin (triple antibiotic ointment). I've been taking my two dogs here for about 5 years. I've generally had good experiences. Their dental cleaning as well as other services' prices are much more reasonable than other vets. Both dogs had their cleaning. They get their annual check-ups and shots there. We had to put our Miniature Schnauzer, Pepper, down this summer. The staff was just great about the whole process; very empathetic and professional. The front desk staff, Ronnie and Alex, are very professional, friendly and know what they are doing. Read Less

Read Less
