Alpine View Veterinary Hospital

Snohomish, Washington
General Info
Our team at Alpine View Veterinary Hospital is committed to providing compassionate, high quality veterinary care to our patients, with consistently kind, caring, and friendly customer service to their human companions. We have served the Snohomish, Monroe, and Woodinville areas for over 22 years and we are proud to say that we feel like your furry friends who are a part of your family have also become a part of ours! We are a full service companion animal hospital offering a wide range of comprehensive veterinary services such as wellness care, medicine, surgery, dentistry, radiology, full service boarding, laser therapy, and supplies. Our goal is to provide the best veterinary care along with a lot of love to all of our deserving patients, while also offering superior service to all of our amazing clients. We are truly honored to serve you, our clients, who over the years have grown to become our friends! Services: Medicine-Alpine View offers comprehensive health care for both canines and felines. Our experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly veterinarians coupled with our caring support staff provide compassionate health care for all your pets needs. We provide wellness and supportive care, annual physical health exams, vaccinations, identification implantation, health certificates, and so much more. Our in-house laboratory enables us to perform our own complete blood testing, microscopic examinations, cytologies, bacteriology, and urine evaluations. Therefore, all critical cases receive the necessary tests results immediately, thus allowing us to begin the required treatment for each specific condition. Surgery-Our highly skilled veterinarians combined with the surgical assistance of our experienced In-Patient Nurses perform a variety of surgeries. From routine spays, neuters, and de-claws, to major tumor removals, lacerations, fracture repairs, and extensive orthopedic surgeries. We pride ourselves in being able to offer our clients competent, personalized care, using modern technology, current surgical monitoring equipment, and up to date expertise. Dentistry-Our professional dental cleanings are performed while the pets are under anesthesia. The dental cleanings are scheduled Monday through Friday and are performed by our Licensed Veterinary Technicians and In-Patient nurses together with our experienced veterinarians. Dental cleanings for animals are similar to those for humans including polishing, probing, charting, scaling, dental radiographs, and fluoride treatments. Oral care is as important for your pets as it is for you. Without proper dental care nearly 80% of dogs and 70% of cats shows signs or oral disease by the age of three. Radiology & Pharmacology-Alpine View Veterinary Hospital is equipped with a complete radiology suite and full in house pharmacy. Therefore, radiographs can be taken, developed, and reviewed by our veterinarians within minutes. This provides us with the ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat an existing medical condition during the pet’s initial veterinary visit. Our full in house pharmacy allows us to immediately begin treatment for pets in need, and enables us to prescribe and refill the various medications needed long term to treat various conditions or diseases. Full Service Boarding- Our team at Alpine View is very excited to be able to offer full service boarding to all our deserving patients! The fee for our canine visitors is $24.00 a day and for felines it’s $21.00 a day. If pets are on medication the “Medical Boarding” charge is $26.00 for dogs, $23.00 for cats. We walk all of our boarded dogs four times a day, and there is no charge for any of the walks (most facilities charge $5-$7 per walk). If requested you can schedule supervised play sessions with your dog in our fully fenced outdoor play area for an additional fee of $5 per play session. We admit and discharge pets for our boarding facility Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 and Saturday from 8:00-1:00. There’s no Sunday pick up or drop off. We request that clients bring in their pets regular diet to avoid stomach upset from a sudden diet change, this is particularly important if pets are on a prescription diet. For their safety and wellbeing all pets must be current on vaccines (including-Distemper Parvo, Rabies, and Bordetella for dogs and FVRCP, Feline Leukemia, and Rabies for cats). All vaccines should ideally be administered at least four weeks prior to their visit. If any of our pet guests have fleas while staying at Alpine View they will automatically be treated with Advantage or Capstar (at the owners expense) in order to not contaminate other pets in the clinic. Tours of our hospital and boarding facility can be scheduled Monday-Friday in the afternoon from 2:00-3:00pm. We book up quickly, specifically over holiday weekends, therefore, we recommend that you call to reserve your pets space as early as possible. Supplies-Alpine View stocks a complete line of flea and tick preventatives such as Sentinel, Trifexis, Advantage, and Revolution. We also have everything for your pet’s dietary needs including Science Diet and ProPlan prescription and non prescription diets. Grooming products, ear cleansers, vitamins, supplements, oral care products, treats, and cat litter are also available. About Us: Alpine View Veterinary Hospital, owned by Paul DeMaris D.V.M and wife Barb DeMaris has proudly served Snohomish, Monroe, and Woodinville communities since 1990. Upon commencement the small 600 square foot facility had only one veterinarian/owner and one additional employee. In 1993 Paul and Barb decided to remodel the clinic nearly doubling it’s square footage. However, as the years passed and the need for high quality pet care continued to grow, the once remodeled facility known as Alpine View Veterinary Clinic was removed and replaced with our new 5500 square foot hospital. The modern facility consists of five spacious exam rooms and a large waiting area that boasts a beautiful view of the Cascades for all our waiting visitors. We have a full in-house pharmacy and in-house laboratory for on sight diagnostic testing and treatment. A large treatment area, special procedure suite, radiology suite, sterilization room, and our fully equipped surgery suite offers the space, equipment, and technology to care for all our patients needs. The additional space has allowed us to provide entirely separate cat and dog wards increasing the overall happiness of all our furry visitors. We have a separate isolation unit, nine large dog runs, and a fully fenced outdoor play area for our hospitalized or boarded patients. Alpine View currently employs four experienced veterinarians and a knowledgeable support staff of twelve dedicated employees. Our entire team provides comprehensive and compassionate health care to all our deserving patients. We are honored to serve our clients who over the years have grown to become our friends. Here at Alpine view we realize that each pet and pet owner has different needs, therefore, treatment, wellness, and preventative care is tailored to the individual needs of each specific pet. We are proud to know that we can help make a difference in the lives of the patients we so love to treat.

The vet tech was nice, but he was given antibiotics for an allergic rash. I won’t be back! The vet never spoke to me about the rash or what might have caused it. I was very shocked that we had such an unpleasant experience when I had heard such good things about Alpine. Went in for a lump on my dogs eyelid and their main focus was to sell us dental work, fecal sample and updated shots and not focus on the lump. The estimate for the lump removal was very unclear and the vet did not go through it with us. We were charged for a take home fecal sample when we never said we wanted to, they explained it as an option and did not tell us they were putting it on our invoice. Also, all the take home paperwork was about dental, when the vet said she only has mild tarter, nothing about the lump. Everyone was nice, but did not explain much, or allow us to ask questions. Felt like we were pushed through the appointment fast and sold stuff we didn’t want. We walked out the door wondering what just happened. Read Less

So I guess that my review was removed so I will have to keep a copy on file and maintain it on here, so here we go again; My cat had a bad flea problem last summer, I believe that she had bitten herself and caused an abscess and it was not going away so I brought her here, I told the vet what was going on and she had an abscess so she was examined, I was told it couldn't be an abscess (I did asked at this point what this was going to cost with no response) and was told it must be some abdominal obstruction, so after an ex-ray, ultra sound, they could not tell me what it was, told me she had a slight fever, gave her shot of antibiotics, told me to keep an eye on her for the next couple of days and charged me over $500 and sent us home. Two days after the visit the abscess broke opened and drained for two days and with some hydrogen peroxide and clean up it stopped draining. so if this is what vets now charge for there services I will be removing pets from my life style from this point forward, no more cats, and after my dog has passed no more dogs. It's sad that we have reached a point that only Rich People will be able to afford pets. Read Less

Absolutely fantastic place - i rarely write reviews, but I felt the need to do so here. We have 3 cats and since moving out here 2 years ago, we've found this to be an excellent facility with great staff. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Schultz - she is our primary go-to person. She discovered a tumor in one of our cats months ago, and had it not been spotted in time, we would have lost him in weeks/months. She shows great care/compassion and is one of the type of people that truly makes you feel like she cares. Most importantly, she's highly intelligent / knowledgeable. They are transparent re: pricing, and can offer different options (i.e. types of prescriptions, or treatments) to fit in with your budget. My wife and I truly love this place. If Schultz isn't available, we've also had great experiences with Dr Baumann. Both docs are top notch.....best wishes to your small family members :) Read Less

I first came to Alpine View with my dog in 1993 and have been bringing our furry family members there ever since. In that time, we have seen every vet at Alpine and they have treated our pets with compassion and expertise. My first experience there was getting a second opinion about my dog that had been diagnosed with cancer at another vet. Dr. DeMaris was able to extend her life, and quality of life, for many years more than I could have hoped or expected. When it came time to say goodbye to our 15 year old dog that had been a part of our family since puppyhood, Dr. Murphy created a comforting space and a peaceful passing for our old girl. Now we have a new little member of the family with a chronic skin condition and Dr. DeMaris has helped us manage the condition using both traditional and alternative approaches. For nearly 20 years now, Alpine View has provided routine checkups and vaccinations, surgery to remove tumors and spaying, and treated complex medical conditions for our pets. Most of all, they have treated our pets and us with respect and compassion.Read Less

First time at this vet office. The office and facility were clean with options of products available in a very orderly fashion. Walked in and we were greeted immediately. Did not wait long to see the doctor. Dr. Immediately addressed all of our concerns and asked us if we had any more questions. Felt like nothing unnecessary was done to make more money. They could make a diagnosis without all of the extra testing. This office is efficient, friendly, caring, and professional. They also liked my fat cat!

I have been a client (or rather my beagles have) since 1994. When I moved to WA, I asked around when looking for a vet. Alpine View came up again and again. Dr. DeMaris and his staff have looked after my beagles since then and they have done a wonderful job. Everyone is kind and caring, they call the next day to check on whichever dog had treatment done to see how they are doing. I call all the time with questions and they always answer or get back to me if need be. I trust them ABSOLUTELY with having my dogs best interests at heart. I had a really good vet in CA and am so happy I found a really good one in WA. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. Read Less
