Besides the fact that Dr. Erickson, AND HIS WIFE, are BOTH terrible veterinarians (not just because of their deliberate and poor vetting killed four animals that I know of personally, in which I was there to witness not just the death itself but the drawn-out suffering the animal had to go through and all of the unnecessary extra appointments they insisted that we bring the animals to because they hadn't quite milked every last penny they could get out of the owner or me yet). But they also have an employee that works there (or did work there, I don't know if she's still employed there now) who took it upon herself to give one of my dogs away "free to good home" on craigslist WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and then would not give me the contact information for the people she gave my dog to. And (because we have extremely stupid laws in Washington State and Snohomish County) because I left my dog there, in the care of the veterinarian and clinic staff, and she was part of the staff, legally I could not do anything about her giving my dog away because I had given her permission to care for my dog by leaving it there at the clinic. If it were possible to give zero stars or minus stars rating, I most definitely would rate this clinic and Dr. Erickson and his wife with zero stars or less. I do not recommend taking any living ceature to this clinic. And if you want to waste your money that you wipe your butt with it instead, at least then you've gotten some kind of use out of it before you throw it away. However, I do have to give this establishment 5 stars for Dr. Erickson's wife's absolutely offensive and rude not to mention ignorant attitude and behavior when dealing with patients and their the patients owner. How does anyone like that get their degree in veterinary medicine? Aren't these people supposed to have a certified education to work with animals legally?

Staff is very respectful, friendly, and kind.
Excellent availability, have been able to see us on VERY short notice!
Affordable!
And most of all, despite how unfriendly and aggressive my big, intimidating German Shepherd dog is, the vet and the staff still treat him like a pet who deserves as much care as anyone else's pet! We've had VERY different experiences at other clinics.. This is the best, by far. I drive over 30 minutes to come here, even though there are several other vet clinics much closer to my home.

I have been taking my puppy here the last four 1/2 years since he was 12 weeks old. Dr. Erickson is amazing. My puppy got his surgery here and seems like he felt no pain. I cannot see any scars on him...
I have been taking my puppy here the last four 1/2 years since he was 12 weeks old. Dr. Erickson is amazing. My puppy got his surgery here and seems like he felt no pain. I cannot see any scars on him. The doctor expected him to be groggy and maybe sad for a few days but he was up and about 3 hours after I picked him up. They run monthly specials for dental cleaning. The staff is always friendly. We did move to Redmond but do not mind driving up here for his annual check up.

I'm not sure if this should be a two or three star review. About 15 years ago we brought our cat here and unfortunately the vet was not successful in diagnosing him correctly and he died of poisoning....
I'm not sure if this should be a two or three star review. About 15 years ago we brought our cat here and unfortunately the vet was not successful in diagnosing him correctly and he died of poisoning. He had eaten a lot of English ivy outside of our house. Recently we brought our lovely cat Flossie to him. I think he did okay this time. However the last time you brought our cat in for urine test she seemed rather traumatized when we brought her back home. The staff that were present on that day did not seem very professional. So we think we'll be going somewhere else.

Companion Vet is the ONLY vet clinic I will take my dogs to. We have 5 dogs and I trust Dr E, Dr O and the team with their lives. They are kind and knowledgeable and have always gone the extra mile in helping me and my pets. They don't mind when I call to ask a question and have even seen me after clinic hours when they have been writing charts. I cant recommend the team here enough - I send everyone I know to them as I trust their care, their experience and their work. Companion Vet is my vet clinic for life.

The staff was so helpful, they took the time to help me bring the pups in and cleaned the puppies and their crates. I was very impressed with their customer service and with the vet. We've been bringing our two older lab-x pups here for the past few years. The staff has always been friendly and they clearly love animals and know their jobs. Knowing what the costs are at other clinics, this one is very reasonable and (unlike many clinics) they don't pressure you to buy extra things (ie flea medicine when you don't have a flea problem). As for past negative reviews, I've never had a bad experience here (maybe they're reviewing the past owners - the clinic changed hands a little before we started going). For us it's an all-around good pick - easy to get an appointment, normal wait times (sometimes short, occasionally longer), good prices, great care and friendly and knowledgeable staff.

We first came here to pick up our dog from our breeder as she was having the pups go through a hearing test done by this vet. I was impressed with their friendliness and knowledge of the breed of dog we were bringing home (Whippet). Because of their experience with this relatively rare breed we decided to make them our regular vet. So far we've only been in once or twice (our dog is only a year old) but I have been pleased with the cost and service. They are well versed in the needs of sighthounds which makes me feel more comfortable for when something requiring anesthesia comes up.

STAY AWAY!!!! I took my dog to Companion pet clinic on Monday and the vet I saw was nice. My dog ended up having bladder stones. So on Monday I spent $75.00 on an exam they had me bring in urine and everything. Tuesday they had me come in and get an x-ray $130. The vet on Tuesday gave me a quote for surgery and I cringed at the 1300.00 but I said ok fine. Well I had to bring him in Wednesday for the surgery. It was a different vet and receptionist. First of all the girl in the front was a complete moron! Then they took my dog and had me come back at 5:30. So I did. I waited for 30 minutes before they even acknowledged me then they slapped the bill down in front. It was 1800.00. No one called me during the day to tell me the quote wasn't accurate or explain that it might vary that much. We are trying to fight it and make then honor the original price. It's not our fault if they're vet wasn't accurate on the original quote. It took them all day to answer my calls and when they did the lady was rude and terrible on the phone. I will never go here again. What a rip off!!!

The $25 first time visit was so nice since my funds are limited right now. Everyone made me and my kitty feel very comfortable. I was surprised at how at ease my cat was. They let him run around anywhere he wanted so he could check the place out. The dr didn't really explain things very well and even though I kept asking questions, we weren't getting through to each other. I was also told they would go over everything before charging me and the bill was brought to me with things on it that I was told were optional. But if dr thinks it's best I'll do anything for my kitty:)

Any negative reviews posted about this clinic could not and actually do not refer to their newest vet, Dr. Ochensreiter. I am a crazy lover of birds. IMHO, DR. O ., should give up animals and become a people dr. He is that precise and analytical....so knowledgeable and so honest. He is the only vet,. I have ever met like him and have no idea how he ended up in veterinary medicine over actual people medicine or surgery. . If you love your animals, (like I do), You have to bring them here. He wont charge you for frivolous exams or add- on fees. Further , when he diagnoses something, you know he has thought about it as if your pet was a person. Dr. O is the best of the Seattle vets available. After several years of knowing him. I found out that Dr. O use to be the head vet for the SF Zoo. That is just crazy, amazing, and the thing you want to hear when your family member (pet) is sick. Dr. O wont subject you to endless expensive diagnostics and most of all, he will fight to save your pet, because he understands that your pet is an integral part of your family. When and if your beloved animal is sick, please take them to the most precise, professional , scientific, fairly -priced VET . in the US. You will never need a second opinion, because he couldnt be more legitimate , considerate, caring , and knowledgeable.

They care about the animals. I have been in much swankier clinics and prefer to come here. They don't try to sell you a bunch of "treatments" and "spa therapies"; they take care of my pets and do what's best for them, period. I would recommend this vet to anyone who want's a down to earth, reasonably priced and friendly place to take their furry family members.
That doesn't mean that spa therapy is not available to your pet, you'll have to ask!

I have been very happy with the services that I have received at this clinic in the past 18 months. I had a girl who neede an emergency spay because of an open pyometra and Michael Ericsson was a superb surgeon. She recovered quickly from a long and hard surgery that my regular vet was unable to do because of staffing issues.
I have since switched to using them as my regular vet clinic, even though there are 2 others within a mile of my home. Maggie Gillen DVM is the other veterinarian, and she is also superb, and offers several varieties of holistic medicine in addition to Western veterinary medicine. The whole staff is very caring,and I highly recommend them

Horrible vet! We took our dog here for an emergency only and I will never go back. We waited 10 minutes for the receptionist to even acknowledge we were there (we had an appointment). When we finally went back to the room the DR did a 5 minute examination and told us we needed to put her nonthinking they knew best we followed through. After puting our dog to sleep on a blue blanket(cost maybe $2)they ripped it out from under her after laying her in our car. I was already upset but then I got my credit card statement and they had charged me extra but had tried to hide it by not puting it on the bill they gave me when I left the office. Best advice is to STAY AWAY!

Dr Gowen and his staff are great. I have been going there with all 5 of my animals for the past 10 years. I have never had any issues and they have always been highly professional with everything. BEFORE they do anything for your pet they show you your written estimate and go over it with you. They are willing to work with you on prices on things and their prices are VERY reasonable. They are great about followup and after care with your animals.I have referred many of my friends and family to them and they love them as much as I do.

I love the personal care. I walk in, the staff remembers my name and who was in for the last appointment. Dr Gowan takes great care of my diabetic cat for so much less than my past vet in Lynnwood. Worth the drive! Kelly handles everything from advice on presciptions to rabbit pedicures. Been going there four 4 years never regretted it once.

But with the economy in the tank I've had to take my dog off some meds that she needs....Ive asked them to work with me....they cant...I understand....I have no job and no income and my dog is slowly declining...I was also declined her pain meds...I was hoping at least she could be comfortable as she seems to be getting worse....again I understand that there are legal issues regarding this...but come on.....they werent even willing to work with me.....only 30 dollars and she will be on her way....it never is just 30 dollars......I get it...we all have to get paid...but really....this dog has been through enough being a rescue and all.....all ive wanted to do is keep her comfortable while I try to get the money together to get her meds.....this isnt about money its about the animals isnt it.....I was so disappointed and now ...who knows....I am going to have to give her away to someone who can afford to take care of her...again she has been through enough.....she will not do well having to go to another home...shes been with me 5 yrs....not a good thing for an older dog......my heart is broken and I am so disappointed and hurt that a vet cant work with a customer especially during this time....heck I would wash floors, volunteer there to pay off what is needed...........no grace, no mercy........

I love this clinic. I have always received great care for my pets here. The vets are friendly and kind. They understand that not everyone has a savings account for the care of their pets. I have never had a bad experience with this clinic and I've been going here for over 6 years. It is not a new, fancy building, but if you are looking for great care at a decent price, with friendly staff... this IS the place to go!

I called Companion Pet Clinic to check their spay & neuter prices and they seemed like a good price. I called back after checking another place and made an appointment. When I brought my dog in - the price they quoted me was NOT the same as when I called. I already had made plans, etc. and I don't get a lot of time off from work and this worked with my schedule, so I kept the appt. and left my dog with them. When I went to pick up my dog, they told me she almost died! She had a reaction to the anesthesia and her heart slowed waaaay down. Nobody bothered to even call me and let me know! Then they claimed she was "swollen" even though I know she isn't even near her next heat cycle and so they charged me an extra $25! They were rude and unsympathetic, saying "oh we must have just got busy!" as a excuse to have not called. I will NEVER go back. That is no way to treat a customer, let alone the customers pet!

I should of turned and left the building and gone to the Clearview Animal Hospital down the street when the assistant at the Companian Pet Clinic squatted down to have my dog smell his rear end. This might have been funny at a park but not when our dog may have eaten some poison. Really professional first impression. They had the dog barf up the stuff and sent us on our way with some medicine. The medicine provided had no instructions to administer it. We called for this information. The next day when our dog couldn't walk because of his leg and howled when I picked him my wife called the Pet Clinic and was told to bring him in immediately because she was told it could be a very deadly intestinal virus. This upset my wife and I rush home from work to take the dog in. I was recommended a battery of $300+ worth of tests and pain killers for his leg. I authorized the $40 virus test to put my wifes mind at ease, which came back negative, just as I suspected because HIS LEG HURT. Why a test for an intestinal virus was suggested for a leg issue I will never understand. When I asked why his leg would be hurting and swollen when nothing happened to injure the leg I was told it was because the previous day they administered all the shots into his one leg instead of various spots as they should have. I refused the remaining tests and was spoken to like I was an uncaring pet owner. Thanks Companian Pet Clinic for my upset wife, my hurting dog, accusing me of cruelty, my smaller pay check because I left work early, and your recommendation to spend $300 dollars on worthless tests and meds.

These folks rate the worth of the animal as being higher than the worth of money, which is is rare to see in vets today. They live the biblical principle that it is Man's job to care for God's creatures. Their prices are very reasonable, their staff is amazing, and the vet is very very good. I've trusted them with several pet issues, and they always come out on top. Bless them for being there, I highly recommend them.

Besides the fact that Dr. Erickson, AND HIS WIFE, are BOTH terrible veterinarians (not just because of their deliberate and poor vetting killed four animals that I know of personally, in which I was there to witness not just the death itself but the drawn-out suffering the animal had to go through and all of the unnecessary extra appointments they insisted that we bring the animals to because they hadn't quite milked every last penny they could get out of the owner or me yet). But they also have an employee that works there (or did work there, I don't know if she's still employed there now) who took it upon herself to give one of my dogs away "free to good home" on craigslist WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and then would not give me the contact information for the people she gave my dog to. And (because we have extremely stupid laws in Washington State and Snohomish County) because I left my dog there, in the care of the veterinarian and clinic staff, and she was part of the staff, legally I could not do anything about her giving my dog away because I had given her permission to care for my dog by leaving it there at the clinic. If it were possible to give zero stars or minus stars rating, I most definitely would rate this clinic and Dr. Erickson and his wife with zero stars or less. I do not recommend taking any living ceature to this clinic. And if you want to waste your money that you wipe your butt with it instead, at least then you've gotten some kind of use out of it before you throw it away. However, I do have to give this establishment 5 stars for Dr. Erickson's wife's absolutely offensive and rude not to mention ignorant attitude and behavior when dealing with patients and their the patients owner. How does anyone like that get their degree in veterinary medicine? Aren't these people supposed to have a certified education to work with animals legally?

Excellent availability, have been able to see us on VERY short notice!
Affordable!
And most of all, despite how unfriendly and aggressive my big, intimidating German Shepherd dog is, the vet and the staff still treat him like a pet who deserves as much care as anyone else's pet! We've had VERY different experiences at other clinics.. This is the best, by far. I drive over 30 minutes to come here, even though there are several other vet clinics much closer to my home.

I have been taking my puppy here the last four 1/2 years since he was 12 weeks old. Dr. Erickson is amazing. My puppy got his surgery here and seems like he felt no pain. I cannot see any scars on him...
I have been taking my puppy here the last four 1/2 years since he was 12 weeks old. Dr. Erickson is amazing. My puppy got his surgery here and seems like he felt no pain. I cannot see any scars on him. The doctor expected him to be groggy and maybe sad for a few days but he was up and about 3 hours after I picked him up. They run monthly specials for dental cleaning. The staff is always friendly. We did move to Redmond but do not mind driving up here for his annual check up.

About 15 years ago we brought our cat here and unfortunately the vet was not successful in diagnosing him correctly and he died of poisoning. He had eaten a lot of English ivy outside of our house. Recently we brought our lovely cat Flossie to him. I think he did okay this time. However the last time you brought our cat in for urine test she seemed rather traumatized when we brought her back home. The staff that were present on that day did not seem very professional. So we think we'll be going somewhere else.

Companion Vet is the ONLY vet clinic I will take my dogs to. We have 5 dogs and I trust Dr E, Dr O and the team with their lives. They are kind and knowledgeable and have always gone the extra mile in helping me and my pets. They don't mind when I call to ask a question and have even seen me after clinic hours when they have been writing charts. I cant recommend the team here enough - I send everyone I know to them as I trust their care, their experience and their work. Companion Vet is my vet clinic for life.

I went today to Conpanion Vet Clinic to have my puppies microchipped and have their vaccines. When I arrived, my puppies had vomited because they had motion sickness. The staff was so helpful, they took the time to help me bring the pups in and cleaned the puppies and their crates. I was very impressed with their customer service and with the vet. We've been bringing our two older lab-x pups here for the past few years. The staff has always been friendly and they clearly love animals and know their jobs. Knowing what the costs are at other clinics, this one is very reasonable and (unlike many clinics) they don't pressure you to buy extra things (ie flea medicine when you don't have a flea problem). As for past negative reviews, I've never had a bad experience here (maybe they're reviewing the past owners - the clinic changed hands a little before we started going). For us it's an all-around good pick - easy to get an appointment, normal wait times (sometimes short, occasionally longer), good prices, great care and friendly and knowledgeable staff.

We first came here to pick up our dog from our breeder as she was having the pups go through a hearing test done by this vet. I was impressed with their friendliness and knowledge of the breed of dog we were bringing home (Whippet). Because of their experience with this relatively rare breed we decided to make them our regular vet. So far we've only been in once or twice (our dog is only a year old) but I have been pleased with the cost and service. They are well versed in the needs of sighthounds which makes me feel more comfortable for when something requiring anesthesia comes up.

STAY AWAY!!!! I took my dog to Companion pet clinic on Monday and the vet I saw was nice. My dog ended up having bladder stones. So on Monday I spent $75.00 on an exam they had me bring in urine and everything. Tuesday they had me come in and get an x-ray $130. The vet on Tuesday gave me a quote for surgery and I cringed at the 1300.00 but I said ok fine. Well I had to bring him in Wednesday for the surgery. It was a different vet and receptionist. First of all the girl in the front was a complete moron! Then they took my dog and had me come back at 5:30. So I did. I waited for 30 minutes before they even acknowledged me then they slapped the bill down in front. It was 1800.00. No one called me during the day to tell me the quote wasn't accurate or explain that it might vary that much. We are trying to fight it and make then honor the original price. It's not our fault if they're vet wasn't accurate on the original quote. It took them all day to answer my calls and when they did the lady was rude and terrible on the phone. I will never go here again. What a rip off!!!

The $25 first time visit was so nice since my funds are limited right now. Everyone made me and my kitty feel very comfortable. I was surprised at how at ease my cat was. They let him run around anywhere he wanted so he could check the place out. The dr didn't really explain things very well and even though I kept asking questions, we weren't getting through to each other. I was also told they would go over everything before charging me and the bill was brought to me with things on it that I was told were optional. But if dr thinks it's best I'll do anything for my kitty:)

Any negative reviews posted about this clinic could not and actually do not refer to their newest vet, Dr. Ochensreiter. I am a crazy lover of birds. IMHO, DR. O ., should give up animals and become a people dr. He is that precise and analytical....so knowledgeable and so honest. He is the only vet,. I have ever met like him and have no idea how he ended up in veterinary medicine over actual people medicine or surgery. . If you love your animals, (like I do), You have to bring them here. He wont charge you for frivolous exams or add- on fees. Further , when he diagnoses something, you know he has thought about it as if your pet was a person. Dr. O is the best of the Seattle vets available. After several years of knowing him. I found out that Dr. O use to be the head vet for the SF Zoo. That is just crazy, amazing, and the thing you want to hear when your family member (pet) is sick. Dr. O wont subject you to endless expensive diagnostics and most of all, he will fight to save your pet, because he understands that your pet is an integral part of your family. When and if your beloved animal is sick, please take them to the most precise, professional , scientific, fairly -priced VET . in the US. You will never need a second opinion, because he couldnt be more legitimate , considerate, caring , and knowledgeable.

They care about the animals. I have been in much swankier clinics and prefer to come here. They don't try to sell you a bunch of "treatments" and "spa therapies"; they take care of my pets and do what's best for them, period. I would recommend this vet to anyone who want's a down to earth, reasonably priced and friendly place to take their furry family members.
That doesn't mean that spa therapy is not available to your pet, you'll have to ask!

I have been very happy with the services that I have received at this clinic in the past 18 months. I had a girl who neede an emergency spay because of an open pyometra and Michael Ericsson was a superb surgeon. She recovered quickly from a long and hard surgery that my regular vet was unable to do because of staffing issues.
I have since switched to using them as my regular vet clinic, even though there are 2 others within a mile of my home. Maggie Gillen DVM is the other veterinarian, and she is also superb, and offers several varieties of holistic medicine in addition to Western veterinary medicine. The whole staff is very caring,and I highly recommend them

Horrible vet! We took our dog here for an emergency only and I will never go back. We waited 10 minutes for the receptionist to even acknowledge we were there (we had an appointment). When we finally went back to the room the DR did a 5 minute examination and told us we needed to put her nonthinking they knew best we followed through. After puting our dog to sleep on a blue blanket(cost maybe $2)they ripped it out from under her after laying her in our car. I was already upset but then I got my credit card statement and they had charged me extra but had tried to hide it by not puting it on the bill they gave me when I left the office. Best advice is to STAY AWAY!

Dr Gowen and his staff are great. I have been going there with all 5 of my animals for the past 10 years. I have never had any issues and they have always been highly professional with everything. BEFORE they do anything for your pet they show you your written estimate and go over it with you. They are willing to work with you on prices on things and their prices are VERY reasonable. They are great about followup and after care with your animals.I have referred many of my friends and family to them and they love them as much as I do.

I love the personal care. I walk in, the staff remembers my name and who was in for the last appointment. Dr Gowan takes great care of my diabetic cat for so much less than my past vet in Lynnwood. Worth the drive! Kelly handles everything from advice on presciptions to rabbit pedicures. Been going there four 4 years never regretted it once.

But with the economy in the tank I've had to take my dog off some meds that she needs....Ive asked them to work with me....they cant...I understand....I have no job and no income and my dog is slowly declining...I was also declined her pain meds...I was hoping at least she could be comfortable as she seems to be getting worse....again I understand that there are legal issues regarding this...but come on.....they werent even willing to work with me.....only 30 dollars and she will be on her way....it never is just 30 dollars......I get it...we all have to get paid...but really....this dog has been through enough being a rescue and all.....all ive wanted to do is keep her comfortable while I try to get the money together to get her meds.....this isnt about money its about the animals isnt it.....I was so disappointed and now ...who knows....I am going to have to give her away to someone who can afford to take care of her...again she has been through enough.....she will not do well having to go to another home...shes been with me 5 yrs....not a good thing for an older dog......my heart is broken and I am so disappointed and hurt that a vet cant work with a customer especially during this time....heck I would wash floors, volunteer there to pay off what is needed...........no grace, no mercy........

I have never had a bad experience with this clinic and I've been going here for over 6 years. It is not a new, fancy building, but if you are looking for great care at a decent price, with friendly staff... this IS the place to go!

I called Companion Pet Clinic to check their spay & neuter prices and they seemed like a good price. I called back after checking another place and made an appointment. When I brought my dog in - the price they quoted me was NOT the same as when I called. I already had made plans, etc. and I don't get a lot of time off from work and this worked with my schedule, so I kept the appt. and left my dog with them. When I went to pick up my dog, they told me she almost died! She had a reaction to the anesthesia and her heart slowed waaaay down. Nobody bothered to even call me and let me know! Then they claimed she was "swollen" even though I know she isn't even near her next heat cycle and so they charged me an extra $25! They were rude and unsympathetic, saying "oh we must have just got busy!" as a excuse to have not called. I will NEVER go back. That is no way to treat a customer, let alone the customers pet!

I should of turned and left the building and gone to the Clearview Animal Hospital down the street when the assistant at the Companian Pet Clinic squatted down to have my dog smell his rear end. This might have been funny at a park but not when our dog may have eaten some poison. Really professional first impression. They had the dog barf up the stuff and sent us on our way with some medicine. The medicine provided had no instructions to administer it. We called for this information. The next day when our dog couldn't walk because of his leg and howled when I picked him my wife called the Pet Clinic and was told to bring him in immediately because she was told it could be a very deadly intestinal virus. This upset my wife and I rush home from work to take the dog in. I was recommended a battery of $300+ worth of tests and pain killers for his leg. I authorized the $40 virus test to put my wifes mind at ease, which came back negative, just as I suspected because HIS LEG HURT. Why a test for an intestinal virus was suggested for a leg issue I will never understand. When I asked why his leg would be hurting and swollen when nothing happened to injure the leg I was told it was because the previous day they administered all the shots into his one leg instead of various spots as they should have. I refused the remaining tests and was spoken to like I was an uncaring pet owner. Thanks Companian Pet Clinic for my upset wife, my hurting dog, accusing me of cruelty, my smaller pay check because I left work early, and your recommendation to spend $300 dollars on worthless tests and meds.

These folks rate the worth of the animal as being higher than the worth of money, which is is rare to see in vets today. They live the biblical principle that it is Man's job to care for God's creatures. Their prices are very reasonable, their staff is amazing, and the vet is very very good. I've trusted them with several pet issues, and they always come out on top. Bless them for being there, I highly recommend them.
