I have been taking our dog to Bemis Pet Vet for 13 years. I chose to start looking for another vet after I was charged almost $70 to put a bandage on my dogs tail after a follow up visit that was supposed to be included in the "Surgery." Something I could have done my self for nothing as I had all of the SAME materials at home. The only reason he put the bandage on was because there was a small open spot where my dog "might" lick it. I was not told how much the bandage fee was going to be, or given a choice not to have the doctor do it. When I voiced my concern over the exuberant price for a bandage, I was told I was paying for the doctors knowledge. We will now be taking our older dog, and our new 2 year old dog somewhere else. This vet was highly recommended by some friends. Small place, nothing fancy, but easy to get an appointment. Dr. Bemis is very nice and personable. We used to go to one of the busier places in the Valley, but didn't like how they wanted you to drop your animal off in the morning and they'd call you when they were finished. Didn't like not being with our dog during the examination and never even meeting the vet. Very happy we switched. Read Less

Dr. Watkins was highly recommended to me by a retired veterinarian! He was amazing! He didn't overcharge, or do anything unnecessary. He charged less than 1/3 of what my previous vet did to do the same thing, but didn't unnecessarily put him under general anesthesia which previously been done! The clinic is easy to find and to schedule appointments. Especially since we needed to be seen quickly. The front office entry is split for dogs and cats which we thought was a great idea. We were quickly seen and the diagnosis was accurate and given in a direct manner which although hard to learn we appreciated. The staff was also kind and the clinic has been helpful with several of our follow up questions and by giving us additional options to care for our baby boy. We would recommend for your best friend. Dr Watkins is hands down the best vet in the Spokane Valley. He will not try to sell you everything under the sun or run a bunch of unnecessary tests that bring on huge bills. Very honest, to the point, and he gives both of my dogs great care. Highly recommended!! Read Less

Bemis Veterinary clinic was extremely kind and helpful to us in a very difficult situation Our beloved friend became terminal after having a mass tumor removed. They were kind in getting us through the days to come. By the time we needed a vet we knew it was about comfort. They would see us at phone call and help us in every way to keep her comfortable and as happy as possible. When the time came to have to have her put down again the saw us right away. They were also very nice to come out to the truck that was her happy place and put her down there. It was one of the saddest days of my life and we cannot thank the staff enough for their professionalism . They would get a five star but that seem wrong on such a sad event.Read Less
