Affordable Pet Dental has been such a blessing for my little rescue Chihuahua. When I first took him in fall of 2016 he weighed only 2 lbs (really bad shape for an adult teacup). The Vet was so gentle & knowledgeable, guiding me through what would be needed for his disastrous little mouth. Many of his teeth were were rotten and/or seriously overcrowded. I cannot remember now if he had 6 or 7 teeth pulled but my little guy was carefully worked on and once recovered was finally able to eat better. Now 2 years later he weights almost 3.5# and gets regular dental checkups. His weight is good, he eats well and the horrid bad breath is no more..... definitely my 'go to' Vet. They are our full service vet for our dog rescue, Dachshund Rescue NW. They have done all sorts of teeth for our dogs, our foster dogs and many in the Dachshund Club of Spokane. Bella of Bellwyck had a traumatic experience but was extremely well cared for. She went in for a teeth cleaning and found out from a thorough exam that there were some serious issues with a crooked tooth that had penetrated the upper roof of the mouth in to the nasal passage. Previous Vets had never observed this condition until now making it necessary to remove the crooked tooth and the upper as the root is now exposed due to the hole. This shows the experience of the "Dental" designation of the Vet and her experience and compassion for the animals she treats. Bella was not traumatized by the staff or the vet but just the experience as we all get it the Dentist office. Now taking antibiotics soon she will go back for the necessary surgery and repair. My pet had a suspected tooth infection and my regular vet recommended a dental cleaning and extraction. I was quoted 3 times the amount that Affordable Pet Dental charged me!! They did an awesome job explaining everything and even showed me the Xrays. My dog was treated great and all staff was very friendly to me and my pet. I am changing from my old vet who overcharges and recommends too frequent visits and overly vaccinates just to get your money. I needed a dog dentist as it looked like my dog had a cavity. I made an appointment and went in for the initial examination. The doctor determined it wasn't a cavity but rather a broken molar. The doctor also discovered an oral tumor. We decided extraction was the best option as it was likely that infection had set in and my dog was in pain from this. We did a blood draw for a pre-op blood test and got her in for the followup procedure. They kept me informed during the procedure and maintained contact throughout the day, which was appreciated. They removed the tumor and sent it off to be tested and it was found to be benign. The price was reasonable. One has to remember that at vet has huge overhead. Staff, facilities and equipment, insurance, medications, anesthetics, suture is expensive. A person needs to take this into account when evaluating prices. I will take my pets there again and highly recommend their services. Read Less

My dog is currently having an anxiety attack in the car on our way home right now because he had to wait in a room for almost two hours at this place. Our appointment was at 12:30pm and we arrived late at 12:34. We then checked in and waited for 55 minutes in the lobby until we finally were put into a room. Once in the room we waited another 20 minutes until the vet came in and said "since you were late I will be another 15 minutes finishing something" as if the over an hour wait was punishment for us because we were 4 minutes late. So finally at 1:45pm she looks at our poor shaking dog for 1 minute and the appointment was over. It was literally 1 minute and we waited for an hour and 20. Id suggest going here if you have all the time in the world otherwise go elsewhere. The receptionist was so kind and deserves a raise or to work someone better. Read Less

We had a great experience with Dr Sutton. Although the office was a bit understaffed during my visit and I had to wait a while longer than normal, when the brought me and my elderly dog back, the vet was very apologetic and attentive to my dog, Reilly. I brought him in for an eye issue but we discovered he had two broken and rotted back molars (which she showed me) so we set up an appointment to get them fixed. Because of his age (13yrs old) we discussed my plan and we had blood drawn to determine if he was healthy enough to endure the procedure. He ended up having some elevated enzymes that can be treated with medicine but didn't give me a guilt trip about considering not putting him on it b/c of our money situation. I've been to a few vets who have done that in the past. The procedure went great. Prior to the procedure, they wrote up a price range of how much the extraction would cost and at the end of the procedure, it was the lowest number they gave me. I'm very happy and satisfied with how the operation went and how they treated my fur baby. We will DEFINITELY be going back to them! Read Less

We had to being our dog in because he was not eating, found out he was just feeling sick, but also has two cracked teeth. The Dr. he saw was wonderful and truly cared. I took my 10 year old female miniature schnauzer in for dental care surgery and some removal of several small benign growths. She was well taken care of and her recovery went exceptionality well. The price was very good compared to many other local Vets. We recently moved to the area and my poor chihuahua Ruger was in desperate need of dental work. Not knowing where to go and being incredibly scared that I was facing a bill of over a thousand dollars based off previous quotes from my prior vet, left me hopeless I would be able to help him. Existing was painful for him, eating was getting difficult and he was always grumpy. I was referred to Affordable Pet Dental Plus via the Humane Society. I was able to get in for a consult incredibly quick and was given a complete breakdown of what would be done and the price. One third the price of my previous quotes! Plus, the consult fee was credited towards the bill! My nerves were calmed with my fears of his reaction to anesthesia. Everything I asked was explained to me. I scheduled his teeth pulling appointment that day and left confident Ruger was going to have wonderful care. Two weeks later I'm back for his appointment, I was contacted that afternoon that Ruger had 13 teeth pulled, but is doing well. I picked him up that night and was given a pain medicine and antibiotic for him. (Something my previous vet didn't do) The following day I got a follow up call, just so they could check in on him (again, something that I've never received) It's been a few days now and 7.5 year old Ruger is acting like a puppy again!
